The doctor was nice enough and prescribed me more antibiotics but told me everything I already knew about my chalazion. Now I have to call an ACTUAL Oculoplastic surgeon to remove my Chalazion and it's going to take a month longer than I thought it would.

They were very patient, caring and very compassionate. They are highly skilled and surpass excellence in their medical field. I do not have words to express my gratitude and thanks to them for taking such diligent care of me. I would like to thank Abbey, who was extremely sweet, caring and took good care of me. She was very jovial by nature and kept me stress free during the procedure. The same can be said about John & his colleague in the Operating Room. Ms. Jasmine in the Records Dept helped my wife by keeping her updated on the procedure and offering water and candies during her long wait. Ms. Sarah, the assistant for Dr. Gokul Kumar, is also extremely versatile and thoroughly professional who knows her job well. This was the very worst experience I have had with a doctor. I was referred to his office by my eye…read moredoctor. Once there I was told I had a detached retina and I needed surgery done that day or the next morning. He accused me of ignoring my eye health and scared me into thinking it could get worse by the minute. I am a schoolteacher and had only taken the morning off for the appointment and had to go back to work. My husband was also out of town, and I had no one else to drive me to surgery or help with my kids. When I told him I needed to talk to my husband and call to schedule, he had me sign a refusal of treatment paper. Once I tried calling back to schedule, it was very hard to get a return call. I had a scheduling person call while I was teaching and tell me I had to be at the hospital for pre-surgery appointment that same afternoon. Teaching school does not work like that. She also was scheduling me for surgery at a hospital not on my insurance. When they did call back it was with misinformation and not helpful with securing a date. I finally scheduled one, but I was scared it was getting worse and went to the ER because my eyesight felt like it was lessening. When the ER doctor contacted Dr Membreno's office, he said I was not his patient- he had terminated my care. What??? So unprofessional. The ER Dr. referred me to another retina specialist and said though I need surgery, it wasn't an emergency situation where it had to be done that day or week. I did have successful surgery with a different practice.

The waiting room has 2 couches and 2 chairs. There were tons of people there on a midday Wednesday and all the spots were full, but no one was standing or uncomfortable. Actually it was such a cozy spot that the stranger guests waiting were chatting amongst themselves. They also provide complementary coffee and snacks in the lobby. The employees were so professional and kind. You enter to visit the Dr on the right and exit the left to where the glasses are, then talk to someone at a table open to the lobby. Lastly, there were loads of glasses options at check out.

Well, this is embarrassing…read more Should I tell? Of course. So, after the Color Run, I had trouble taking out my contact lens. I have worn contacts for at least 7 years with only one minor mishap. This is the second, more ridiculous and expensive mishap. I had a big glob in my eye, and I'm sure the color powder had something to do with it. I wanted someone good to look at it. I found this place on my insurance website. Having no clue as to whom to choose, I decided to pick a doctor that appeared to have an East Indian name. Dr. Saira Choudhri. Perfect. The office was kind of hard to find, but I did after some driving around. It's across from the Loop behind the Vitamin Shoppe in a professional office park. I just felt like everyone in the waiting room was old. I was the only young person. The feel was clinical, and rather impersonal. It needs warmth. Not a discount, just an observation. Dr. Saira Choudhri is more qualified than necessary. More beautiful than necessary. So, here I am, with blue still coming out of my nose from color run, and now yellow coming out of eyes, with a gorgeous, overqualified eye doctor taking out my daily contact lens with no effort at all that I had been trying to get out for the past 3 days. And she tells me I have allergies in that eye, gives me my drops, and I am on my way. And I am suppose to see her again in 6 months. I felt as if I was dealing with competent people here who really know their stuff. It's a professional and clean environment, and would definitely recommend. I just don't think you'll go there to make BFF. See, told you it was ridiculous.
