Crazy cheap food and ample portions! We found this eatablishment while on our road trip from nj to Florida not too far from I 95. It's a small restaurant but had a very friendly waitress and amazingly quick service. We had a southern breakfast consisting of a wholesome portion of eggs choice of meat choice of sides and either toast or a biscuit. Their biscuit sandwiches were 2 dollars and it was a little bigger than the size of our palms. Highly recommended when you're with great friends and a hungry belly. You have the option of going through the drive thru but the line wraps around the place. But with the quick service I can't imagine waiting too long. read more

This is a review of their breakfast. I usually order their tenderloin biscuit with egg and mayo. They are fresh, tasty, and large. The tenderloin is delicious, juicy, and tender. Their "mayo" is Miracle Whip or salad dressing, which I prefer. This makes a large and satisfying meal. I eat there every chance I get, about once a month. read more

I grew up in a small town and have an appreciation for good, hole in the wall diners. Flo's is AWESOME. First it is very small, but that is part of its charm. You grab a table or share one with folks you are about to get to know! The food is fast and delicious. The biscuits are AWESOME and the tenderloin is divine. The prices are so reasonable that any family can afford to stop in. If you are in Wilson, stop at or use their drive through. You won't be disappointed. Amazing Breakfast. We were on our way to Charleston from Richmond and we're very happy we found Flo's Kitchen on the way. One of, if not the best breakfast we've had on our Honeymoon road trip. I must be the only person in the Wilson area that does not care for Flo's. As I sat in the over crowded drive thru I noticed the truck was being unloaded, while the one and only person putting away the refrigerated food was away, I noticed cases of eggs, cheese, meat just sitting outside, while the lady was standing there smoking a cigarette. The biscuits are just so greasy full of bacon and cheese. I admit people love that kind of thing, but enough fat and triglycerides for a month in one biscuit. You know I probably shouldn't say anything, but I have to think this place is a bit overrated. I have eaten their food several times because vendors buy their biscuits and bring them to the plant, so they're free, so how bad can that be. Well, they just are almost too much to handle, their cheese biscuits which I try to avoid but because I am usually the last one to the break room I get the left overs and it always seem to be the cheese biscuit. It is like they take a pound of nasty shredded Kraft cheese and plop it on a biscuit. The biscuit part of the meal is truly pretty decent, I wish I could try one of their tenderloin biscuits, I bet they would be good assuming no cheese. And folks, let me tell you, I lived in Wisconsin for awhile and I love my cheese curds, heck I love any cheese, I even like Velveeta. I will eat Cheez-whiz straight from the can, but I am sorry this is just not right. I feel like I am having a heart attack after eating these. Really?!? Nothing but 5-star reviews? Even by greasy-spoon standards I wouldn't give 5 stars. We picked this place based solely on Yelp reviews after our original lunch plans fell through. We had second thoughts almost immediately after we pulled up. The vaporized grease was nearly a visible haze in the tiny restaurant and every surface touched left an oily fingerprint. We sat down in a sticky booth and the waitress was there immediately with a "Do you know what you want? Breakfast only and we close in 10 minutes." (Apparently they're only open until noon on Saturday). We asked for menus and ordered various combinations of eggs, biscuits and pancakes. A very short time later our food came out on styrofoam plates. First the "tenderloins". I was a bit dubious about ordering a tenderloin without a clue of what kind of animal this tenderloin came from (I'm now 90% sure it was chicken), but I followed previous reviewers advice. They were decent and seemingly homemade chicken strips. The biscuits were good, but don't get them with the optional cheese. It looked like there was about a half-inch thick slice of cheddar melted into the biscuit making the whole thing a gloppy oily mess. The pancakes came totally covered in what looked like nacho cheese but, upon further inspection, was actually some kind of squeeze-bottle margarine. After scraping most of it off the pancakes were just ok. The syrup bottle had what looked to be drywall dust stuck to the grease caked on the glass. Finally the eggs. I ordered over-medium and got over-easy floating in its own pool of oil. Actually not the worst eggs I've had, but far from the best. We ate most of our meal and got out of there. On the plus side, the food was dirt cheap and service was fast. On the negative side it has now been about three hours and the queasiness is only just starting to subside and our clothes all reek of greasy food. I would imagine the lunch menu wouldn't be as bad, but I won't be back to try it. read more

We're big roadfood fans. We stopped at Parker's on the way south, but had enough barbecue, so hit Flo's based on Yelp recommendations. We were blown away. $5 got us each lunch specials. Mine: 2 sprawling pork chops fried chicken style (awesome), mashed potatoes with gravy, cole slaw and 3 tasty, sweet hush puppies. My wife and daughter had the meatloaf, which was also huge and delicious. They opted for biscuits over hush puppies, but the biscuits were out-- they instead selected cheese biscuits. The cheese biscuits were nice biscuits filled with a cheddary cheese. With just the right sweetness of sweet tea, and very nice personnel, this was the highlight of our trip. read more

The biscuits are huge, the taste is incredible, and while you may need to wait in line for 5-10 mins, it is most definitely worth it. My personal favorite is the chicken, egg, and cheese biscuit.
