My partner said he enjoyed this during his stay in Boston, so we had to try it out! It was busy with a line for in-person orders and a kiosk for orders. Seating is first come first serve so we nabbed a table as soon as it opened. Our name was suppose to be called when ready, but it took a bit and our name was not called out, just added to the counter. Vibe is chill and typical of a student cafe spot. I ordered Spicy tofu sandwich with the modification of multi grain bread and no tahini sauce. Half the sandwich felt more like a good portion size, but I think I could've definitely finished it all. tofu was chill and savory and the chili sauce is on the mild side, and could've been more spicy! I ordered the strawberry lemonade because I wanted something refreshing. It hit the spot and was tasty but on the sweeter side. My partner ordered the mocha coffee and it was good and mild. Not bitter and overly sweet. It was a good middle ground! The stick bun was delicious! Very sweet! My cavity enjoyed it but my dentist partner made me brush afterwards. Worth the treat!

Flour + Bakery Cafe is a local Boston chain that serves up tasty baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and drinks! Came here with a friend to catch up and was welcomed with quick/friendly service and a good amount of seating. I feel like in the other locations I've been to, it's been hard to find seating since it's always so busy. Perhaps it's because it was a frigid day when I went, but there was plenty of open seating and it wasn't too busy. The vibes were nice and the cafe was super clean. I got their raspberry seltzer, smoked salmon + toasted barley bowl, and shared a brownie and slice of banana bread. - The raspberry seltzer: really tasty, not too sweet, didn't taste artificial. - The Smoked Salmon + Toasted Barley Bowl: I loved this!! it was so good and it came with candied pecans (for which I am a sucker). It was a huge piece of smoked salmon that was included. I also enjoyed their pickled celery with all the other mix-ins paired with the Green Goddess dressing. - Brownie and Banana Bread: Get these warmed up!! So good, the brownie basically melted in my mouth and the banana bread was soft. If you haven't tried Flour, it's time. I highly recommend their smoked salmon + toasted barley bowl and trying out a baked good.

Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 5/5 Amazing first experience. Then I went back for more, every day I was in town. Excellent quality baked goods, all around. The pre-packed cookies travelled well - ginger snaps and sablé. The sweet and spicy pecans are so, so, so good. One day I bought all the packets (and gave them to friends). Over several days I tried hot and cold breakfast and entree sandwiches. Everything was at least good or great. The tuna melt is easily one of the best sandwiches I have had. Starting with a high-quality solid albacore tuna salad with a great mix of textures and balanced flavor. Put that one some fresh rye, some pickled banana peppers, and top with a flavorful cheese and melt it? Heaven! I had three in one week. (Perhaps my one critique/issue: tomatoes. They were exactly like every other disappointing restaurant tomato. Not-red pink and no hint of tomato flavor - I opted to skip them on thRe repeat sandwiches) If you are not into tuna, try the chicken parmigiana sando - it's comfort wrapped in butcher paper. The chicken filets were meaty and gorgeously cooked. Not into chicken, is your red-meat carnivore calling? Go for the roast beef sandwich. Cold sandwich: simple with gorgeous pile of thinly sliced beef and a ciabatta bread with a crust-chew and texture that balances the beef and soaks up some of those sandwich juices. (Extra horseradish mayo, please). I got a side of the smoked salmon salad to try at lunch, too. So simple and SO good. Breakfasts I tried: biscuit, muffin, and croissant sandwiches with eggs and cheese and either bacon or sausage. Do yourself a flavor-favor and get something, anything, with Flour's bacon. Or just get a side of bacon!! No shade on the pork sausage - it was delish. But that bacon? Please! When I unwrapped my bacon sides at work, the scent alone improved everyone's day. What I can't believe I didn't get was the BLT. I tried so many things and somehow managed to not get a BLT!?!? (Does BLT stand for Boston Loves Tasty-bacon?? Maybe.) I bet that BLT , alone, will be worth a return airfare to the Boston metro area. For baked goods, almond croissant was excellent. Tcho GF brownies - yes, chef (especially, warmed). "Oreo" cookies - yummy - love that black cocoa!! Brown sugar meringue was reportedly excellent (crisp-chewy and good flavor, per my daughter), chocolate, lemon-raspberry, and celebration cakes were not cloyingly sweet... in fact most of these baked items seem to rely less on sugar and more on technique/bake and other ingredients for flavor. The pecan sticky buns are a signature item. Heated those up when I got home - while the glaze was sweet, it was in the best, darkly caramelized sugar way and balanced the buttery dough and the many pecans that studded these buns. Tastes like somebody CARES. Highly, highly recommend!!

Nice seating but nothing super comfy to work at for over an hour. Two GLUTEN FREE options. A tropical muffin (pictured). Very moist. Very tasty. Making a huge tropical punch though. Tastes like a normal muffin with some fruit in it. But I would have liked to see the tropical flavor profile more pronounced. HOWEVER, great for gluten free. The iced coffee was a normal iced coffee. Good staff. Nice windows.

I had one of the best sandwiches I've ever had here - wow!! I didn't expect much because I just needed a cappuccino and a place to journal, but the sandwich I ordered on a whim was so good! Thick, fluffy bread, and it wasn't dry at all. Great place to just relax.

mixed review because i love the seasonal chili oil corn bialy with all my heart (pimiento cheese bialy is good but not even close to the chili oil corn one). really good in terms of pastries, pretty good in terms of meals as well. i enjoyed the roasted broccoli melt a lot because it had lots of components and flavors that i haven't necessarily tried together. wish the broccolini was cut a little smaller so i don't accidentally pull half of it out the sandwich while trying to take a bite. negative part of the review is from another experience where i was given cow milk instead of oat milk in my large hazelnut latte (i am lactose intolerant). i haven't had cow milk in years, so i knew that the taste of the latte was slightly different but not enough to avoid drinking all of it and suffering from extremely painful tummy troubles :(

Brief Summary: - Coffee is sour - Ordering can be done at the kiosk - Indoor and outdoor seating We arrived here in the early afternoon, so there were guests sitting in most of the space inside and outside of this cafe. There were two ordering styles, one by the staff and the other by the kiosk. It was nice to see the kiosk order, so we tried this for this time around. The kiosk ordering style was like boba, where it first started with the base and then additional steps to customize. For example, with the toast, it starts off with a plain piece of toast (customize on the quantity), then you can choose to add butter or other jams, and then then adding a side of a poached egg. This was easier to follow for someone who is familiar with ordering from a tablet, but with my elder relative, they were very confused on why they were being asked for additional items, when they expected one push to put the whole set (toast, egg, butter, and jam) into the cart. We also ordered a salad, a roasted beef sandwich and a pastry. However, after ordering, it turns out that this was out of stock, so the staff came by and guided us to the staff desk to swap an item for something else. We got the cheese pastry instead and paid the remaining. I enjoyed this cafe for the variety of menu options, including toast, which was harder to find in other cafés. The roast beef was good, but generally the texture of the sandwich was on the soft side. If the bread surface was toasted, it would have added a different texture.

A student staple, flour had great pastries and sandwiches! The banana bread, sticky buns, cheddar chive scone, and boston crème cake are my favorites from all the times I've been. There's outdoor seating as well as a place inside to sit and work. You can often see many coffee chats going on here!

I came here for a quick lunch on a Friday. It was not too packed. I waited on line and ordered a Cubano sandwich. There was a large seating area in the back for everyone to enjoy. I grabbed a free cup of water to drink while waiting for my meal. Everyone seemed friendly and helpful. The sandwich was packed and delicious. It had a good amount of meat and tons of flavor packed in. It was very filling and left me satisfied after. There are several offices and students nearby who seem to keep this location busy. I enjoyed my time here and would come here again.

Sticky Buns 5/5 Currant Spelt Oat Scone 4/5 Came here with a friend who was visiting from out of town and wanted to try the sticky buns. They did not disappoint! The blend of the honey sugar caramel on top with the crunchiness of the pecans and crisp top layer of the buns was amazing! Highly, highly recommend! We also tried the currant spelt oat scone which was really good as well. The cafe and bakery itself is a nice place to sit in to meet up with people or to get work done. It was decently spacious with a good amount of seating. We came near to close so it was pretty quiet, but I could see it being more lively during peak hours. Service was very good. The cashier we interacted with was very helpful in answering any questions we had about how any of the baked goods would travel for my friend who wanted to take some back. Also liked how there were the Flour recipe books and other items sold there. No parking lot, but a good amount of street parking near to the cafe!

I'm not able to come to this location much, but working close to this cafe I try to stop for their amazing lattes. I am so happy when I treat myself to Flour since their coffee has been exceptional lately. Thank you to your workers/staff/baristas. There usually is a long wait for it even with ordering ahead, but honestly I always end up with a fantastic tasting coffee.

Italian Sub: $20 for a foot long, the meat was so plentiful it's almost overflowing, enough for two meals. The prisciutto was tender and juicy; the salami was firm and savory with a strong smokiness. Both are thinly sliced, so despite the thick stack, it was relatively easy for a bite. The provolone cheese was also generously portioned, with a robust yet not spicy flavor and a subtle nutty aroma, perfectly complementing the two meats. The olive oil and balsamic vinegar were particularly outstanding: mellow, tangy, and with a fruity aroma of grapes, key to the complex flavor profile. The lettuce, tomatoes, and onions were all fresh, especially the onions were refreshing and a little zingy, perfect for removing the greasiness. Unfortunately, I was worried about not being able to roll it back up properly and making it inconvenient to carry (which it actually happened), so I took it away and ate it at the office. After about 40 minutes, the bread had become somewhat dry and hard.

We walked into a simple counter-service space with limited indoor seating, the kind of place that feels more like a grab-and-go stop than a sit-down lunch spot. Even with its small footprint, there was a steady stream of customers coming in for one of the signature sandwiches, and the energy of the room stayed practical and focused on getting orders out efficiently. The lobster roll is the clear standout. We ordered one and found it generously filled with lobster meat, making it feel substantial compared to many other lobster rolls around the city. Whether you choose it hot with butter or cold with mayo, the focus stays on the lobster itself rather than overwhelming it with extra ingredients. The toasted roll added just enough texture without taking away from the filling. Although the lobster roll gets most of the attention, the rest of the menu offers plenty of options if seafood is not what you are looking for. There are oversized sandwiches, soups like clam chowder, and classic sides that make it easy to find something for different tastes. The portions are generous overall, making the prices feel reasonable considering the amount of food you receive. The service was quick and efficient, which fits the fast-paced counter-service concept. The staff moved through orders with speed, and the food came out without much delay. The biggest thing to keep in mind is the limited seating, especially during lunch hours or peak tourist seasons in the North End. If the dining area is full, taking your food to go or finding a nearby outdoor spot can be a better option. Overall, Pauli's is a great stop if you are looking for a satisfying lobster roll without an overly formal seafood restaurant experience. The generous portions, straightforward menu, and convenient location make it an easy place to visit while exploring the North End, especially if lobster rolls are at the top of your list.

The cafe itself is super casual, it's the perfect place to pop into during lunch or after a walk. The spinach tortellini with the pesto cream sauce is my absolute favorite- it's a HUGE portion and so delicious. It usually lasts me at least 2 meals. The bread they include is also great! I like to dip it in the sauce. The past time I got Dino's I accidentally ordered spinach ravioli instead of tortellini...that was my bad. HOWEVER I think I might have found my new favorite? The raviolis are huge and so fat. I'm talking like 1/2 inch - 3/4 inch thick. There is so much stuffing and the spinach ricotta mix tastes so fresh and delicious...it's a must try. I'm a huge breakfast fanatic, especially a good breakfast sandwich or burrito. This is the original location that was started by two friends and has grown to multiple other locations since. We took an Uber here from our hotel. I imagine if you drive over here, parking will be a challenge. It's almost easy to miss. It sits on a corner of a brick building with just writing on the windows. In all my research I did not catch that it is the smallest restaurant in Boston at only 175 square feet. It's basically a room with most of the space taken by the tiny kitchen. There's also a little tiny ledge on the window with a couple of stools for those who may want to dine in. Customers including us took turns walking in and putting in our orders and then stepping out to make room for more people. It had a steady line the whole time we were there. Hours are limited from 7:30-2 so don't delay. Customer service was straight business, kind of the norm in Boston. Their menu is breakfast sandwiches, a couple of burritos and some lunch options like a turkey sandwich, BLT, or a Rueben. For sides, they have hashbrowns or a plain English muffin. For a small menu, they do have quite a few drink options like coffee, tea, juices, and different flavored milks including banana milk which I have never seen. For their food, they use high quality ingredients from local farms and purveyors and have their own bakery for their bread. My eyes fixated on the Breakfast Grilled Crack mainly for the name, but also all the ingredients looked tasty. It was quality eggs, bacon, four cheeses on sourdough bread. I went extra and added sausage to it as well. I also got OJ to wash it down. We realized our only option to eat comfortably was to go back to our hotel lobby to eat. Even with the travel time, the sandwich was nice and warm and the bread was still nice and crispy from the griddle. This sandwich was indeed one of the best breakfast sandwiches I have ever had. I almost felt guilty eating it because of how rich and cheesy it was. I would skip the hash brown next time. It did not travel well nor did it have anything special going on with it. Hands down one of my favorite meals of the trip that I would absolutely do again if I am in the area.

My pal ordered their spin on a Cuban and swapped out the chips for the dill pasta side. He loved it so much that it was gone on minutes. Being a fan of ground meats, I opted for the Hajj, a ground lamb, tzatziki, Mediterranean style sandwich. It was well flavored and large, and came with a side salad. I shared the sandwich with my friend, but agreed that his crispy Cuban was a bit tastier. We ended the evening with a bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream to share. Massive portions! We both enjoyed to our hearts' delight, and the one dessert could have easily been shared with a third person. Our wait staff was so pleasant- friendly and warm from the start. They really made this experience shine! This is quite a pricy spot in the heart of Boston, so be prepared to pay a pretty penny for sandwiches. However, the elegance of the food is up there and it's a unique experience to pick a meal from a handful of the top chefs.
