I don't have a single negative thing to say. The service was friendly. The food was amazing and the space was bright, welcoming and special. They have a little bit of something for everyone and my hesitation to go in (even as a vegetarian) was that my meat, eating husband and picky children would not enjoy it. I was also worried it would be overpriced and I was very happy to find out that there is plenty of meat, awesome options for kids, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the delicious food and the generous portions. I went in with my gluten-free dad and I have never heard him say "I would absolutely come back here." if that is not a huge WIN, I am not sure what it is! I tried the mashed potatoes, cauliflower, risotto, and brussels sprouts and I would order all three again but HIGHLY recommend the mashed potatoes. Big fan of Flower Child in Vegas and now Salt Lake City. Everything is fresh, well prepared and tasty. Service is relatively quick (if you don't get stuck behind middle-age women debating their order in line) and you can get in and out for a quick lunch. Have multiple favors and have never had a bad meal. Turkey avocado cobb and veggie hummus are really good. Cons being prices are quite a bit higher compared to other like locations and the Foothill Village shopping Center parking lot is the worst location (not even close) in the entire state. read more

The manager was eager to talk about the food options and their commitment to creating a good experience for people who cannot eat gluten. I highly recommend it for anyone though. I have driven by this place so many times and had been eager to try it, so I came with my friend. I love the design of the place. It was bright and open and modern. You order at the counter, and your food is brought out. The gal at the counter was really enthusiastic and helpful, which feels like a rare quality these days, so I appreciated that a lot. I'm in a calorie cut, so I thought this spot would have some macro-friendly options for me, and honestly, it didn't have as many as I would've expected. But I am grateful all of it is searchable online. I landed on a chicken entree with a side of the cauliflower risotto and fruit. My chicken was dry. The risotto was REALLY good. If I came back, I would for sure order that again. My friend got the Mediterranean chicken kabob. Sadly, both my and my friend's food came out cold, which was kind of unexpected--we didn't know if the dishes were supposed to be cold, or if they just had cooled off a lot while waiting to be brought out? I wish I could have tried some of the drinks or treats. I think I'd give this place another go when I'm not so limited in my choices, though it is a little pricier than I'd like. Having been to Flower Child many times in Phoenix it makes me so happy to have one in Utah! I wish this state had more healthy fast casual restaurant concepts like this. You order at the counter and your food is brought to you. The restaurant is open and bright, with lots of space. I ordered an entree where you pick a protein and two sides. I had chicken with smashed gold potatoes and roasted broccoli. This is yummy comfort food for me. The chicken is simply made but good. The potatoes were creamy and the broccoli was roasted and topped with lemon, parmesan and breas crumbs. It's a huge serving. My daughter ordered from the same section of the menu and got three sides. She had mac and cheese, brussels sprouts and roasted vegetables. She said everything was very good and she had a massive serving as well. I've been to flower child in Arizona several times, so I knew what to expect. The food is fresh, healthy, and flavorful! The only thing that I noticed was the portion sizes have gotten smaller, which is a bummer. We ordered: Mother Earth bowl, add salmon. Loved all the components of this bowl, but just wanted more, small portions of everything. Salmon was a decent size. Chicken and shrimp meatballs in curry. These were delicious but the little side fennel yogurt salad didn't really mix well with the curry though. Red chili glazed sweet potatoes- delicious flavor! Asparagus white bean side salad- yummy Kung pow cauliflower- we loved this again great flavor. The sides are great, just wish they were a tad bigger. I had seen this place being built and was excited to try it. I knew I had to go with girlfriends, because my husband wouldn't go for this right away (he has a hard time exploring outside of his food comfort zone at times). The construction in the shopping center made it hard to tell when it opened, but I was willing to wait. Of course it took longer for me to actually make it in. My best friend even tried one in Oklahoma and said it was awesome! Well, I got to try it today and treated my friend out as she's moving back home to India. It accommodated both of our nutrition choices (she's vegetarian), and we both enjoyed our food! I went with the Forbidden Rice with steak , and she chose her vegetarian options as a meal. Oh, and their brownie was so decadent- the cacao nibs brought the perfect balance of sweet and bitter. The decor and vibe just makes me happy! Lots of positive vibes too! Even the bathrooms are decorated with floral patterns.The staff was so kind and very helpful. We came for dinner towards the end of the night, so it wasn't too crazy busy compared to what I believe prime hours would be. I'm so glad I finally got to try it! We were unable to determine why all of our food was excessively salty, and it was impossible to ask anyone due to the chaotic and fast food-like nature of this establishment. Upon arrival, you'll place your order at the counter, select a table, and take your seat. Understand that while food is brought to your table, this concludes staff interactions, as the establishment does not offer traditional restaurant-style table service. The restaurant was busy during dinner service but the staff were all so quick and kind. You can tell whoever is manager runs this restaurant efficiently and with a well-trained team. I love the farmer chic feel of the restaurant. The yellow colors, flower prints, and cute branding make dining in a nice and elevated experience. For my order, I got the steak entree with the gluten-free mac and cheese and sweet potatoes with Bok choy. It was hearty, flavorful and an overall delicious dish! Highly recommend! read more

WOW! This place was so surprising. I was expecting healthy and fresh but I was not expecting such explosive flavors! I ordered the Mediterranean chicken kebab bowl, which I probably would not get again. The flavors were delicious but there was a texture issue with the grain that I didn't like. Something very hard and chewy but also crunchy. Others might like it but it just wasn't doing it for me. Also, I'm not a fan of cold foods like the halved tomatoes being added to hot foods because it ends up making everything lukewarm. I also would have liked the zucchini to be cooked more. I know, this sounds like a lot of complaints but it was still tasty enough and I think this is just one of those things that was a miss for me amongst many other outstanding options. My SO's meal was fantastic and was some of the most flavorful food I've had in quite a while. Literally the BEST brussels sprouts I've ever tasted, coupled with the best mac & cheese I've had in recent memory. I know, it doesn't look like anything special but it is. As someone who mainly comes here for the clearly posted calorie info. it was extra nice to have top tier flavors. While the mac & cheese is on the higher end, it is certainly worth the occasional splurge. The space is bright and clean and it's easy to find napkins, silverware, hot sauce, etc. we also tried the pink rose lemonade which was lovely. I was recently in TX and had a quick meeting inside of Flower Child. Unfortunately we did only eat there, but everything looked delicious and I was envious that we do not have a Flower Child in UT. I was perusing through my social media and what new places to try and was super excited to see that I had saved Flower Child, IN UT. Needless to say this was the place I chose for my birthday lunch with my friend. I had the flying avocado wrap and my friend had the chicken yakisoba noodles. We also split an olive oils lemon cake and everything as delicious. We didn't notice the sweet potato fries on the menu or we would have tried those as well. I was SO thrilled to find Flower Child in SLC and also finding out we're getting a location in Riverton at Mountain View Village after coming back from having had it in Austin the week prior. I was randomly looking for food options in the area a week after I had had Flower Child at the Domain in Austin location and I was standing in a store in SLC and screamed out loud because I was so excited we had it here in SLC! I love this place because healthy food like this is usually so incredibly bland and Flower Child does a fantastic job making vegetables and vegan, healthy, high protein taste phenomenal. My favorite is the Mediterranean chicken bowl, I also love the quinoa corn - these have been my staples after eating here a couple times. I also love the turkey wrap if you want something green and simple but still a traditional lunch. Woo!! Welcome to SLC! I'm lucky to have this place close to my office. We came here for lunch and it was busy, but the food came out quickly. The staff was SO. FRIENDLY. We hadn't even been thinking about the amount of time our food was taking (and it wasn't taking long) and the staff apologized for the delay. I have been familiar with this chain for several years, first discovering it in Boulder, Colorado and then in Newport, California. There are 12 now operating in the United States and they are under the ownership of Cheesecake Factory as of 2023. I personally still love Cheesecake Factory, but there is a certain level of indulgence in deciding to eat there. But not at Flower Child, this is a healthy restaurant with vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options. I love their food. The flavors are fresh and distinct and the selection is just enough. (No Cheesecake Factory book to read through to make your choice.) I do feel like the portions are smaller than they used to be, though. It is an order at the counter concept or you can use the app and pick up to go. The staff is friendly and working hard to please the crowds that are flocking to this new restaurant on Foothill. Like CF, the line to order can be out the door at times. Parking is also a bit challenging, but doable if you don't need to be close. The decor is refreshing and clean although space is limited. Perhaps the crowds will die down after the initial newness wears off or maybe it will get worse as word spreads. But either way, this restaurant is worth a visit. My recommendation is the Mother Earth bowl with a chocolate chip cookie for dessert. No cheesecake here! Can't wait to go back for more healthy and delicious food. read more
