The service here is still amazing. 10/10. Every time I come here the atmosphere of this bakery feels so welcoming and inviting. The cakes and desserts are always so flavorful and scrumptious. The young Hispanic man in the front counter is still chopped, but that's okay! He gave me a good service and a good laugh as well. The food is still so good, and amazing. The prices are amazing too. Apparently during the holidays, there is no whipping cream to be found. My son's birthday was coming and I went to several stores to find heavy whipping cream for the cake he likes, to utter failure. After giving up the morning of his birthday, I called Flowers to get their strawberry shortcake, which is very similar to the cake I make. I was able to pick it up at the Hyattsville location after calling several times. The issue was, this is a whipped cream cake, but apparently they too were short on whipping cream because the icing was BUTTERCREAM, which defeated the purpose of calling the bakery. I could have done buttercream at home!!! Also, the workers did not spell his name (Michael- a regular DEGULAR name with normal Western spelling) correctly. I spelled it for her three times in English AND Spanish, and she STILL wrote it Michel. MAKE IT MAKE SENSE. She "fixed" it but left the cake smudged. I am madder about the buttercream than the name though because they didn't sweeten it, so it tasted like cold hard butter instead of buttercream lol. You can't make a lightly sweetened whipped cream frosting with butter. You just can't. They don't do the same things. Flowers is a great bakery for a lot of things but they need to make better decisions in their cake baking and their staff definitely needs to take some basic spelling tests because that was awful. read more

I have been to this small bakery, it was very good. The choice of cakes and bakery items are very good. The cake prices are a bit high (for me). I got the baked items and they tasted very good. I did not try the cakes though and the pastries are available by individual slices, which is a great option if you don't want to buy the complete cake. The staff are polite and friendly. First of all the customers service is great, friendly and fast. I have always loved flower bakery the one in layhill ( my favorite bakery) but its a 40 minutes drive each directions but i was so very happy when they opened a new branch if the same bakery near my house, its like my prayers answered. I ordered a big birthday cake and 13 small peaces of diffirent cakes and you cant believe how good they were, so delicious and perfect not too sweet at all. The bakery is a lot cleaner and more morden than the one in layhill and its very specious. They also have bubble tea and different types of drinks which i will try next time. They also have a cookie corner which i believe are also good. I just love this place so much. read more

I begin this review with a disclaimer - I have only enjoyed their cake, not having personally been to recover it in person. It was my partner's birthday last week and I realized we needed a cake. Cue the googling to find a nearby bakery with good reviews and hours open late enough to give an after-work trip a chance to catch it. Very happy with the chosen results, this may become our local bakery yet! The chosen cake was a sumtious three-tiered fruit cake, so light and fluffy and not too sweet. If anything, it might be a smidge too much cream for this taste tester, but I'd be lying if I told you I didn't go back for a second piece. The cream was nice and thick and juicy bits of fruit topped the front and layers of the cake. Truly a very good experience. The individual who went in-person reported that the location (while a headache to drive in/out) was clearly the best on the block within this shopping centre. Clean, spacious, beautifully decorated, and good professional service. He made mention of the cornocoupia of other baked pastry goods (but that is for another review). Price was right by 2022 standards (looking at you, inflation), but the price:quality ratio felt really good. Two days later the cake is still holding up nicely and its been enough to share with this authors office. Would absolutely reccomend this bakery if you're in the neighborhood. read more

My daughters cake was beautiful and delicious. It smells delicious in the store. Staff was friendly and store was immaculate.

Cute bakery tucked away on the strip of La union mall. I've heard good things and wanted to check it out for a while. With a few friends coming over it was a perfect time to try. The staff person was a young woman who was friendly and helpful. I ordered macarons, cupcakes, and a few slices of tres leches and apple tart. The macarons were tasty and my guests liked them. I found the tres leches a bit dry and a little lacking in flavor. The apple tart was just okay to me. The cupcakes had tasty frosting but the cake itself tasted at least two days old for both of the two different flavors I ordered. It was disappointing and I ended up only serving the few macarons that I ordered. I ended throwing the cupcakes out- no one likes a stale cupcake. They do have other treats that I would be willing to try and would even try another cupcake if it could be guaranteed fresh. read more
