Irving who is in charge of the place told me this Tuesday-that he doesn't want me as a customer anymore! He told me that I called him 4x that day in regard to my 86 yr old -Mom's Flower arrangement! I did do that, I made sure not to disturb them on Mother's Day because I know they would be extremely busy! Bernard-the owner has the very finest flowers on Staten Island, however, Irving, perhaps who was having a bad day acted extremely unprofessional! He informed me that he was going back to my Mom's house to redeliver the flowers to the given address! This made my Mom extremely pensive, understandably! I said, "She doesn't have them! " which he said he no longer wanted my business! I came to Staten Island 20 years ago and have sent several arrangements from the Hylan blvd store as well! My sympathy goes out to BERNARD -because he has no way of knowing how people are being treated by Irving! Ordered a large arrangement for our future daughter-in-law's bridal shower. My wife played a video for them of exactly what she wanted. What they tried to hand us for 200 dollars was a small, half wilted bouquet in a vase that looked nothing like what my wife showed them. When my wife asked what happened, the owner said, "Look, the order doesn't say anything about purple flowers," as if A) that was the only problem, & B) it was my wife's responsibility to go behind the counter & write the order herself. He then dismissively told her, "We don't have the flowers you want, I don't know what to tell you," & made no attempt to even begin to make any of it right. This is two hours before the party. We searched high and low for a flower piece for our dearly departed brother inlaw and I came upon this piece from Flowers by Bernard called Peaceful Moments Spray, it was agreed upon and ordered 5 days before the wake! This place did such an amazing job for my wedding that just passed on 10/14/17 at the Grand Oaks Country Club. We worked with Irv, who listened and created the exact "Fall" theme we asked for. My guests were fighting over the centerpieces! They decorated the Gazebo beautifully! My bouquet was gorgeous as well as my matron of honor's! Irv even let us come in for a trial to see if we liked what he was envisioning for the actual day so there were no surprises that day! I am so so happy with everything! Ruined Mother's Day!! The delivery driver delivered flowers to my 60yr old mother and said "I hope you have a F'd up Mothers Day" while doing so. His reason: No one was home to receive the flowers and he made several attempts so he was frustrated. This is completely unacceptable. When I contacted this company, to speak with someone in charge, they hung up on me, refused to give me the name of the delivery driver, and refused to resolve the matter amicably. I'd give zero stars if I could. Tried charging me $101 for a dozen roses on valentine's day when there was a sign for $85 for the dozen. After bringing the sign in his own store to his attention I got the roses for the $85. After 4 phone calls on valentine's day and a bunch of BS that they were already on the truck and on their way I received the roses at 8:30 pm valentine's night. Better late then never I guess. I always heard great things so I decided to try them for my engagement dinner party. I've personally seen their work before and always liked their stuff. However, with my own experience I wasn't so pleased. My fiancé & I went in to pick out the centerpieces. It was a simple order, needed only 4. I already knew what I wanted but just out of curiosity I asked to see pictures maybe of work they've done. There was nothing for them to show me. She showed me their website, but it was nothing of previous work. It was flowers that can be ordered online. So I decided just to stick with what I originally had in mind which was sunflowers. All sunflowers! Not so hard. I added in those green mesh hanging looking flowers (sorry I have no clue about flower names) just for an added effect. She suggested white peonies (I think that's the name) just as a filler in the background. At first I said no (hence the statement ALL sunflowers) but because it was assured to me they'd only be in the background and under all the sunflowers (so I thought it would be) I said ok with the impression it would still be all sunflowers. The day of I had them delivered to the restaurant and that night I went I was so mad, it was a mixture of sunflowers and peonies NOT sunflowers with peonies under as a filler. Don't get me wrong they looked nice and I received compliments but it just wasn't what I ordered. Worst of all I brought them home after the party, full of water so there was no room for failure, they were dead the NEXT day. All the peonies were brownish that night and sunflowers were wilting just the day after, and completely dead the day after that. Sad I couldn't enjoy them for a little longer. Just had the worst experience of my life. I ordered an arrangement a few days ago that was shown to me in a flower magazine at the ambit store , I went in today to pick it up and the vase is different, all the flowers are different type and color, and the arrangement is much smaller than what was shown to me. So I said I'm a little upset because I was expecting what was shown in the picture and got something different, the man in the front ( I'm assuming the owner not sure) literally starts YELLING at me that I'm insulting his business and I'm not a florist so I can't tell that the arrangement is different ( I never said anything besides that I ordered something different) .. I agree im not a florist but I'm not blind either and who yells at people like that especially customers ?! I never gave a budget price and said I will pay whatever the arrangement in the picture cost so I don't know why everything was switched around .. so he continued to yell at me that they didn't have that vase ... if you don't have something don't sell it and either way they are so rude !
