I moved to the area from Raleigh in July and had been going to back to downtown Raleigh to get my nails done at the place I usually go to, but knew that wouldn't last long so I'd need to find a place to go. My neighbors suggested here since they had been, but they had only gotten gel manicure and a pedicure. I get acrylic nails and keep them pretty lengthy so I'm a bit particular at times. This is located in the shopping center near the Food Lion and shares a parking lot with the other businesses on the strip. Sometimes parking is scarce depending on the day and time, but it's still available. They require you to wear a mask and have you complete and sign a waiver upon entering. They also provide temperature checks as well. I've not made an appointment, so they are accepting walk-ins. There are plenty of stations for nails and pedicures as well as plenty of technicians. Overall I've been pleased. The salon is clean and all the staff wears mask as well. The prices are comparable to other nail salons and I feel they are fair. I pay $40 for a fill-in with gel polish which is average for most salons. They do a good job with my nails and take their time. They also provide hot stone back/shoulder massage with your service and warm towels for your hands when your nails are complete. There are not many nail salons in the area and it's extremely convenient for me so I will definitely be back and recommend it if you live in the area. Vitamin gel manicure and pedicure are always my standard services. If you go right at opening (10am) you can usually get right in. Pedicures are just ok, my last one I got cut and less than an apology was given. Can't remember the technicians name but I know her face and will avoid using her upon return. After a year I'm back! With a bit so good review unfortunately... A year ago this was my favorite salon - consistent, fast, and personable. Although my deluxe pedicure WAS INCREDIBLE! They are TERRIBLY understaffed and can't deliver the great sets they were once able to in a reasonable time frame. In an almost empty shop, with slow, sad music playing, after 2 hours (I sat down at 2:36pm and got into my car parked in the front at 4:33pm), i walked out with an incredible pedicure and my natural nails unpolished, hastily shaped and after asking SEVERAL TIMES, an inaccurate timeline of when my nails could be completed the way I asked (an acrylic takeoff and a natural manicure). Considering I saw another woman getting her pedicure and fill in at the same time, I was confused why after the first hour someone didn't not check in and see how my acrylic take off was coming along but nothing. I asked if someone could work on my hands while my feet were finishing because it was almost 2 hours and my hands has not been touched. They replied after i finished my pedicure they would get straight to my hands. Unfortunately what ai thought was someone finishing my hands, was truly just someone taking off the acrylic and rushing me out of the shop. Also they no longer do acrylic nails and only so gel fill-ins. It's truly sad the difference a year can make because I use to rave about this place but I will not be returning. I like the salon for the most part, especially now that I have finally had a person who I really like do my nails!! I won't tell you their name because they don't do appointments and they're mine!! lol yes I'm stingy!! I hate!! Not being able to do an appointment! Absolutely hate it and I go in regularly at least twice a month. Steven has seen me numerous times and has made no effort to even remember me because he didn't actually believe me when I said I live around the salon. I know, because he asks me, "do you live around here" every time he works with me! He also has tried to embarrass me in front of other customers and his staff twice for getting/having/asking for acrylic on my toes. I had a really bad toenail break, but I still wanted to be cute and not have to wait for it to grow back!!! Horrible treatment of customers! Ridiculous how they waited to RUIN my daughters nails with glue - like she was now a hostage, and forced to completing the process while suffocating ourselves- playing their petty games. Keep reading for more context; If I could give this place zero stars I would. My poor review is about the way they treated us by being manipulative and shady about their Covid mask policy. Covid is over and if ppl still want to believe the anti science that they work then so be it. But to be forced to wear one is another thing all together, that said, I took my daughter to get her first set of acrylics for a special event in her life. It was supposed to be a fun mother / daughter day. This shop allowed us in, sat us down and began the process - and at the point of putting glue on her nails, they then forced us to mask. I said NO. They proceeded to stop working on her nails. Was this a challenge? Did they think that my daughter wouldn't get up and walk out? We walked out. We will never return! It's one thing to let your customers know your policies at the door. It's another thing play games and manipulate people like this. NEVER GOING BACK TO PLACE. You don't treat customers this way. Decided to go in to get some simple tips and gel done on my nails. I was speaking to the manager and she suggested vitamin gel, saying that the real gel would kill my nails and damage them horribly. Which i've done gel many times and expected that..she was very pushy and I gave in. Another woman did my nails and she was very hard to understand with her mask on. While doing my nails I asked her why they were so thick, they were THICK!! She repeated herself many times saying it's so they will be more sturdy and won't break. She laughed at me like I didn't know what I was talking about. After getting them done they looked like boring old nails. My total was $80!!! For basic gel nails and tips on like 3 of my nails. After about a week of having the nails I was so upset of how they looked. Once they started growing out you could see how bad the paint job looked. They were so thick and ugly. I called back and explained the situation to them. The manager was friendly and offered to fix them, but I decided removing them all together would be best. I didn't want to pay $50-80 every 2 weeks for basic nails. I went in and got them removed and she gave me a top coat and my nails are now black? I've tried everything to get the top coat off and it won't come off. I guess i'll just have to wait for all of my nails to grow out so I can just cut it off. I'm very upset with the costs and the quality of these nails. To also mention, there were like 5 teens there who I assumed worked there? They were walking around in pajamas and eating hot cheetos? Ok so the short story is save your time and money and go somewhere else!!! The long story is the customer service was not good at all I paid 55.00 for short acrylic nails with gel polish. I am new to clayton and was looking for a new nail salon and this will not be it. The sign says 35.00 and up and when asked why my set was 55.00 I got attitude back then watched them remove the sign after I left. The work is not 55 dollar work at all 25 yea 55 no!!! Then I had Tiny do my full set gel manicure. I have never had such great nails. I picked out a color but she knew what I wanted better than I and found the perfect glitter shade. TERRIBLE WORK- would y'all pay $65 for a job like this? This review is for their other property top nail. The customer service is beyond poor! There is a young girl always there who I believe is the owners daughter. She is the rudest, unprofessional, nastiest girl who adds more damage to the shop. My mom and I picked out a nail color, when the guy finished paining my moms toes he accidentally broke the polish and she was unable to get it on her hands and I was unable to get it at all. They tried putting the gel polish on us and i was making sure they weren't charging us the extra fee being it was their fault the polish broke. They told me $20 extra and I explained I didn't ask for gel. They told me I could pick out another color and 3 different workers told me it's $5 extra to take gel off. I really wanted to like this place. It's closer to my house than the place I usually go. The first visit Tina talked me into getting liquid gel instead of just my usual gel polish. She also talked me into a pedicure. The pedicure was good and I was actually happy with the strength of the liquid gel on my fragile nails. However, I realized after they finished my polish that they never did anything with my cuticles. I figured it was an oversight and I regularly get my nails done and they were in good shape so not a big deal. Today I went in for my second visit. I asked for them not to be trimmed too short, and she proceeded to cut them all the way down. My cuticles were never touched. The edges do not feel smooth. First I will admit, I tend to go to a different salon every visit. I've been to every one in Clayton & Garner except Flowers Nail which I happened to find on Yelp. Like all of the reviews have stated, the price cannot be bit! I got the deluxe pedicure for $35. This is the first pedicure I have ever paid at this incredible price that included a massage, steaming hot towel (most have been lukewarm) AND a hot stone. I almost stopped her and said I wasn't getting the $50 hot stone treatment when I realized the woman next to me also got the deluxe and was getting the hot stone as well. My toes looked great! Kim had great attention to detail to make sure everything was neat. I really appreciated that! Next, she gave me a gel manicure. The price was also less than standard salons. Tina came around and gave everyone a complimentary hot stone massage which was amazing! We just made a move from Raleigh to Johnston county so I began the dreaded look for a new nail salon. I am thrilled to say after one visit I need not look any further!! The atmosphere is relaxing yet not pretentious. The staff is respectable to each other and customers. The pedicure chairs are in great shape and allow you to settle in & select your own type of back massage. I appreciate the fact they cover the bowls with disposable plastic liners. The salon is very clean and there was plenty of parking near their entrance. My husband and I both got an amazingly relaxing and precise pedicure. After spending 2 weekends moving we both also benefited from manicures as well....mine with a new set of liquid gel. Great selection of colors. I think the best pedicure I've ever had. I had the $35 "deluxe" ... the accompanying massage was amazing! Location is very convenient. They don't have a super relaxing spa feel , but also not that cheesey/tacky feel... they are kindof in between. I liked them overall, everyone was very friendly . My biggest problem with nail salons is when owners children run around while parents work. That wasn't case here BUT one child (age 6-7?) was here and poor thing was made to sit whole time while I was there (2 hours) in a chair, she never got up, didn't have a book, or any coloring, or iPad, no activity. I have been a loyal customer of Flowers Nail for over two years now. Believe me when I tell you, this place is a rare find. You know a nail salon is doing things right when they keep their employees. Since I have been going there, Steve has had the same employees. That's nice to know if you like a specific person to do your nails. They are punctual too when you make an appointment. FYI: no appointments on Fridays and Saturdays, but you can walk-in and the wait is reasonable. I would recommend the liquid gel nails (they last longer and don't lift like acrylics) and the deluxe pedicure. My husband and I love them. I often receive compliments on my nails. Tiny does nail art designs by hand. She has many to choose from or you can find one online and she can look at it and do it for you. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed! Also, they recently opened a second location for those in Clayton living in the 27520 zip code. Nailed It Spa is managed by Steve's wife, Tina, and they have the same philosophy and talent. They train and treat their employees well, so that they will treat their customers well. There is something to be said about a place that remembers you by name. I don't go anywhere else.
