My nails do look nice, however I won't be going back. Here's why: -it didn't seem very clean. There was stuff cluttered everywhere. -a touch unprofessional. It was slow so the employees were just lounging around on the pedicure chairs, drinking and eating. - they were very slow. I got a manicure and pedicure and I was there for 1 hour and 45 minutes. -she cut my finger while cutting my cuticles. -terrible waxing. I got my lip waxed. The wax was too hot and smelled bad. After ripping my hair out, she put straight up rubbing alcohol on my lip. It was red and inflamed for a few hours. Like I said my nails look nice but I won't be going back here. read more

First off I have to say that my nails do look great. But the rest of the experience made it not worth it to come back. I walked in to get a gel fill on my acrylics and was told 10 minutes. I sat and waited and had no clue where to look to pick out colors being my first time there. I asked and he pointed to this stand of colors and i saw powder and grabbed one of those (not realizing you can't get it on basic acrylics supposedly). The guy looked at me and was like "UHM that's powder I'm not using that." Ok harsh but I ignored it. Then, the entire fill he kept telling me how my acrylics will never last and i needed to get the more expensive liquid gel. I've been getting acrylics for quite a while and never had a problem until this guy. Come a week later my nails are popping off. Not to mention the polish he was using smelled BAD and off, and after filing my nails he never had me wash the dust off my hands. It was disgusting. This nail salon is in a great location. My nails look amazing and so does my toes. You also get a complimentary hot stone upper back massage...Amazing!!!! This location is fully capable of handling wedding parties (there were 2 when I went) and they have the southern hospitality down to a science. I was greeted upon entering and offered something to drink (bottled water, juice, wine) until I accepted later on. I was even asked my name and that's how I was referred to throughout my visit. This minor touch was extremely pleasant. The prices are super reasonable and much better than I expected. I came to this salon because I had to evacuate SC due to Hurricane Matthew. They're also well knowledgeable and happily answered any questions I had regarding their technique or products. I was able to see and feel the genuine rapport they have with the regulars, that was nice. Those were the pros, lets get onto the cons. I got the deluxe pedi ($35) which was overall amazing, however the technician did not massage the left foot for nearly the same amount of time as the right. She also completely forgot to sugar scrub my left leg. It was like moving heaven and earth explaining what was missing. In, addition she picked up some nail colour, thought it was mine and seemed to be perturbed with me not having picked a colour although she took the colour palette from me earlier before I had selected. When I finally picked a colour, they didn't have it...back to the drawing board. Now for my nails, everything was going well until the end when my gel topcoat was being applied. The gel underneath didn't dry properly and was coming off. It took about 5min to completely figure out what happened and then we had to start from a beginning point. Thus the already dried coats being removed, nails buffered and shaped again. The polish had to be shaken (they had a cool little polish shaken machine...I want one, lol) and then we start again. This time it went smoothly. Now, all of this took 4hrs!!!! Why?!!! I didn't expect to be there for more than 2hrs...but 4? Ridiculous! I will say they take their time as to do the best job possible but had it not been for the mistakes I know I would have been out sooner. The deluxe pedi does take some time since they are doing more and I did have to sit for about 30min soaking my previous nails off. Overall, I would return to this location and accurately plan to be there for a while. read more

I went there today for a gel nail polish. The first technician (who did 95% of the work), was very sweet and friendly. Since I had two split nails, Tina had to do two, acrylic fill ins on my thumbs. Then a male filed and painted the two acrylic nails. Overall, I'm pleased with my nails. I didn't find Tina and the male extremely friendly, but not rude either. In a crunch, I would go back. However, the lack of friendly customer service wouldn't make me a regular and I'm less than a minute away. read more

I absolutely recommend going here! I have almost child like nail beds, my nails never grew and if they did they were so fragile that they would crack and break and I would always have to do an acrylic or liquid gel full set. Once I started coming here and Tina did my nails, I explained my problem to her and she told me not to worry and that if I kept coming here I would see a drastic change. In two visits, I no longer need to put tips on and my natural nails are strong and growing long. I cannot thank Tina enough. Very inconsistent and disappointing service. They nickel and dime you like charging if you want two different colors on different nails when polish needs to go on each nail anyway. Not like extra work of doing a design.The supervisor gentleman provides unfriendly customer experience and some of nail specialists are sloppy with their work and applied lumpy tips. I truly gave this place a chance but would not go back. They may have a strong following but people need to treat everyone with the same level of service and respect. I have been a regular at Flowers since moving to Clayton from Raleigh back in October. The new owners, Steve & Tina, as well as all other employees are super welcoming and very professional! I had always gotten shellac polish before coming here, and they told me about liquid gel nails with shellac polish over them and I am obsessed. I was surprised at my own negative experience given all of the great reviews about this place, but I won't be able to return here. I began to get nervous when my nail tech walked straight in without washing his hands or having me wash mine. Then, he proceeded to use his products without even a cursory attempt at sanitizing my hands, so it stands to reason that I'm not the first. Working in a lab, I realize I am more conscious of cross contamination than some; however, I feel as though this is a risky practice. My nails were filed very unevenly and not in the shape I requested, the gel polish is bubbled and ragged, and the liquid gel is lifting after two days of wear on short nails. Considering I was charged over the posted price, I am pretty sad about the whole experience. read more
