Ill never enter another flowing tide again. Went for my birthday lunch, never had one so i thought, lets try the chili cheese burger. Took about 20 mins to show up, there was a power flicker, but i was in no hurry, noooo problem. My first bite, nothing but chili, was so hot it burnt layers off the top of my mouth to the edge of my teeth. Literally had skin flappin in my mouth. From that second on, i drank nothing but the ice tea i was having, and requested ice water. The manager apologized and didnt charge me for my burger. I was not drinking nor had i had any alcohol that day, still had to drive and work. Not like i was tanked and fillin my pie hole. That was Wednesday, until sunday night my diet consited of water, yogurt, smoothies, and milk shakes. I tried a nice soft no crust piece of bread on thursday, yup more skin tore off my mouth. As i would talk, my tongue hitting the roof of my mouth would hurt, boy how id sound trashed, so solution, no talking. What a great memorial day weekend. Now, should i have blown on the chili and burger? I guess. Did the server say, careful its hot, like at most places who say, "plate and food is hot, careful"? Nope. Do cooks have a good idea of the temp of the food they send out? They should right, i mean, they have to know how hot to cook meat for it to be safe. Wouldnt it make sense to know that hey, chili served (warmed up in a microwave) could possibly be too hot to serve right away, or atleast pass along a caution? Nope guess not. Guess it doesnt make sense to. So my lesson, never eat there or enter, and from here on out, i will make sure to blow, fan, or just wait it out until im certain theres no way to get burnt that bad ever again. read more

Stopped kin at 12:30 am. Greeted by Roger whom I have met before. Got a beer and ordered an app. Roger was then revived by a "manager" to go open break. The magner of slender build and shor red haired proceeded to walk the bar. If she knew who your were, you were, you were acknowledged and served, if not, ignored like the plague. Roger came back and I was served chicken strips that were obviously a frozen product and broke apart when trying to cut. Beer batterered fries are amazing. First time going here and it was great! We had the seafood fettuccini and the ahi salad that was recommended by our server and both were delicious. Our server was Erika, you should ask to be put her in her section. She was fast and super friendly. And there were no errors in our order! Definitely recommend this place! I am very surprised that out of all these reviews, no one has raved about the clam strips... Well, I will. Flowing Tide has the BEST clam strips around!!! They are lightly fried to perfection with a slight hint of grittyness to prove they are real. Served with a ranch and an amazingly unique sweet cocktail sauce, these are a definate local favorite and one of the best kept secrets in Reno. read more

I went in place to have a beer & chicken wings on happy hour. I have no complaints about the beer or wings but the customer service is real weak. Thus if you want good service, go to the Flowing Tide up on West 7th by SaveMart. Then you do not have to worry about crappy customer service. read more

We went to celebrate our daughters birthday at the Flowing Tide Pub 3 and it was very uncomfortable. The food and drink was good but the inside temperature was horrid, it seems that your AC unit is broken and this makes if very uncomfortable to have a pleasant evening and enjoy our family and friends. I hope you are able to fix or replace this unit, we do enjoy that particular Flowing Tide but may have to find else where to go in the future. read more

I frequently have business lunches with out of town guests and I can count on the FTP to consistently deliver the experiance I'm looking for. Clean facility, friendly staff and good food. Such amazing mac and cheese! And the house salad was great as well! The only reason i gave it a 4 star was because it took awhile and they only had Styrofoam to go containers. This is very irresponsible. Please purchase more environmentally friendly to go containers for your yummy food. read more

I love going here. The staff is so good with the food and so friendly with my mom and I when we go there. My mom orders the nachos~either size, I think that it depends on what she wants that night. I must say that they are really great, and I don't do nachos that much, but these are nachos to convert anyone like me. I order one of the burgers or chicken sandwiches and they're always great. Last visit, I had the appetizer sampler that had fried zucchini, mozzarella sticks, and jalapeno poppers. It was awesome. My mom and I took our food to go, but we did look at the white board to see the specials of the day. I love how tall my iced teas are there, and then you compare them to other places, it's like a two or three for one all in one cup at once, which I think is good. My favorite burger, that I tried and got hocked on is the Black and Blue burger, which has bacon, and blue cheese, and the blue cheese is really mild enough that it isn't that strong. read more

I've been to several of these FTP restaurants, and this one as well before. But the food was just not very good. Had the soup of the day - lobster bisque, and it was sub-par. Not only was it not served hot, but it tasted like it was just poured out of a packet & water thrown at it. I ordered it and a Cabo Wrap, but they served the wrap sans any French fries. And got charged for a full sandwich. The wrap had battered deep fried chicken cut up - left overs? Anyhow - will try again in another location - but not on Longley. read more

The menu is somewhat decent doesn't have many options. The tartar sauce isn't tartar sauce even according to front of the house they don't know what goes in it. I get a bit aggrevated when I order either a drink or a food and it gets to me an hour later (I know when the waitress knows it hasn't gotten to me she still doesn't apologize.) Also I'm amused when I play my music on the touchtunes I hear complaints (baretenders whom usually skip my songs) but never do I hear a complaint when someone hijacks the machine the entire night not letting anyone else get a song in ah but they don't complain then. Decent place good vibe with customers bad attitude from staff is the issue. Should be more attentive and not complain when anyone's hard earned $$ is going towards them or a machine. I go there to enjoy my time off from work and not deal with stress not to hear WORKERS complain. read more

What a disappointment. The reviews looked good but my meal there was a culinary disaster. I ordered the Mandarin Chicken Salad. Others in my group had the Turkey Reuben, soup and sandwich, and a wrap. The greens in my salad were room temperature and wilted. Not cold and crisp. It was drowned in dressing. I can say it was one of the worst meals I've had in years. The service was inattentive and unprofessional. She asked if I wanted a second beer, I said no and asked for a glass of water that never arrived. Take your chances if you want but I'll not be going back. We went in on Friday night it was very busy by the time we got our food. The waitress didn't check in on us till we were done. My chicken sandwich was not what I ordered. It had some kind of sauce on it and asked for no sauce. My wife said her fish was good but was overpriced for what she got. My son never got a drink with his meal. I am new to town and not sure if I will be going back. Would love to try their breakfast but does not start till 9am. I already have eaten at least 2 hours before then. read more
