It was a long, dirty and difficult repair in a tight space, but they were able to engineer a solution and document their work for us via video. Then our main water line broke and they had to dig up the front yard and replace the old plastic pipe with copper. Our gas Water Heater had quit automatically firing up when the temperature of the water fell. It began to deliver cold water to us. As I've said before, the only plumber we consider for things like this is Flowright Plumbing. Jerry's son came this time. I had called at 10 AM and told him I would be home by 2 PM. He was here at 3 PM. He checked the heater, cleaned it, made an adjustment that started it firing again. He waited until he was sure it was working and told me if it stopped again, it would probably need a new something-or-other. The incredible part is the bill. There was NO charge for this visit! Flowright had installed this water heater in 2019 and I'm guessing they considered it a routine service call under "warranty." They didn't just order a new part, bill me both for this call, the new part and the return call for its installation. They did the simpler, no-charge fix first. They are clearly not in this business just for the money. They obviously make a living at plumbing, but they care just as much about customer satisfaction. They even deserved to be paid for this call in my opinion (I had already started writing a check and was just waiting for the invoice). read more

We first met Jerry after doing research into local plumbers because our hot water tank began leaking a week after we moved into our house. Jerry responded promptly and thoroughly discussed alternatives, including tankless. After doing that research, we decided to do tankless and Jerry installed. It has performed flawlessly. Since then Jerry - and son, Gabe - are our go-to plumbers. In addition to occasional repairs, they have installed a recirculating hot water pump and replacement upgrades for all our fixtures. Most recently on the day after I was discharged from hospital after heart surgery our master bathroom toilet began leaking at the floor. Gabe came immediately and did a temporary repair while we considered whether to upgrade and replace the toilet. Ultimately we decided to upgrade and replace and, while at it, also upgrade and replace the toilet in the guest bath. Jerry and Gabe went out of their way, and entirely without any pressure, to suggest alternatives, direct us to brands, and ultimately secure the two toilets we chose and install them, all in a short time frame because of the recovery period from my surgery. With every job they are immaculately clean -- booties, masks, vacuuming. We cannot praise them or recommend them highly enough -- they are responsive, wonderful to work with, and fair and reasonable in their pricing. He has amazing high-tech equipments to actually see the pipe dozens of feet into the yard, and zaps tree roots causing the clogs. Fantastic duo!! We had a broken water heater and had no idea what was wrong with it. We called Jerry, described the problem and he picked up the part he needed on the way over! We contacted Jerry at Flowright Plumbing because we had an old tankless water heater that was near the end of its life. He responded quickly to my calls and emails and gave me some good options and advice. While we were doing some research, the old tankless water heater died. We called Jerry and he was able to come out quickly and look at our set up. He even got the old heater working. He recommended a Noritz condensing model which was more powerful than what we thought we needed but we took his advice and went with that. He installed a few days later and everything seemed great. A few days later, there was a problem with the unit and his crew came back the next day and replaced the unit with was defective - no charge for that of course. We also had them replaced a couple of old toilets and shower valves. We now have fantastic hot water and can run 2 showers and a dishwasher at the same time. I had an urgent back up and Jerry came out the same day we called. He was able to clear it up but pointed out to me that our pipes were close to the end of their lifespan (cast iron). I decided to have him replace the line. This required a concrete company too because the plumbing was under my driveway. Jerry referred a great company and I was only without water for about 8 hours total. The estimate was the same as the invoice and the system works great. Furthermore, the pipes they replaced came apart by hand. If I hadn't followed his advice I would have had regular problems. Got Jerry's business as a referral from the realtor who helped us buy our home near Finley Center. Jerry was the only plumber listed in the "recommended contractors" part of that referral document. Our master bathroom had a leak that was discovered by a pest inspector during his sub basement inspection. Had on experience with another plumber that was OK but not worth repeat business. Called Jerry and he and his sons were out the next day, confirmed the leak started the repair the following Tuesday (after Memorial Day). The leak had saturated the under-flooring and Jerry was not going to remount to toilet until he was certain the the fan placed under the toilet in the sub-basement had eliminated any indications. It took 4 days to eliminate all the moisture but he got the job done and while good plumbing repairs are never inexpensive I was happy with the final price and thought it was fair. Oh No! We had water backing-up into our downstairs bathtub! It looked like our sewer drain was blocked-up. Of course, late at night. The following morning, I had reviewed plumbers in our area and found Flowright with all good Yelp scores. I called and left a message. Jerry returned my call about 1/2 an hour later. He had a couple of jobs already scheduled, but said he could get by in the afternoon. He called when he was on his way. He and his partner got right to work and started his powered snake in the drain. About 45 minutes later they had cleaned up and got the area back to normal. The drains worked, and their price was reasonable. We talked about the long term problem this was going to be but there was no pressure for immediate action. Definitely not the "Hard Sell" described by Yelp reviewers of another local plumber. I'm sure in time we will have to do pipe replacement, and Flowright will be doing it! We had a leaking main water line between the meter & our house. Flowright Plumbing sent Matt out to address the problem straightaway. Within about an hour, he had replaced the leaking pipe. Soon after the repair, we noticed vastly decreased water pressure throughout the house. I called & spoke with Jerry, who advised me to check the pressure & water flow at the outside faucet where the water line enters the house. I did so, and took some flow measurements at various other locations throughout the house. It was clear that the pressure was low, so he sent Matt out to address the issue. When Matt arrived, he measured the pressure & said it was good. I was skeptical, but the pressure & flow rate at the aforementioned outside faucet seemed to be back to normal. Sure enough, when I checked inside the house, the water pressure was back up. So whatever the issue was, it seemed to have cleared itself up. While it may not have been a result of anything they did, Flowright Plumbing made sure to follow through regarding the water pressure issue.
