Good guy. Pay to much and drain was not cleared. The price is too outrageous for not clearing the drain that was clogged. It will not call them again and they wanted $2000 to find where it was getting backed up at and I only pay like $400 to clear it up. read more

I called two other recommended plumbers this am because my pilot light went out and wouldn't stay on. One I haven't heard back from, one wouldn't make an apt for next day because I called stated I was calling around to see who could come today, else, but Mike answered right away and was able to come same day. He gave me a time frame of 1-3 but but called at 12 and was on his way. Well it turns out there's a reset button on my hot water heater and he showed me how to fix. No charge. Our water heater stopped working on Friday right before New years of course, murphy's law.. I called Mike's plumbing at 7 pm expecting an answering machine, but at my surprise and delight Mike answered the phone. He said he would be there between 9-11 the next morning to look at it. He came out, was on time and determined it was going to not be an easy repair due to being 12 years old and out of warranty. We decided to go with a new one and he put it in the same day. He put it in a new pan and replaced some of the pipes. We had hot water again Saturday at noon. We are forever grateful for his prompt and efficient service, he will have us as customers for life. I can see why Mike has so many great reviews. We had a leak that we thought was the main line to the street. At first Mike could not find it so he said call a Leak guy, which we did. Turns out there was a leak under the house and the crawl space was flooded. Called Mike to tell him what we found. He came over on the 1st day of a major rain storm. I had set up a pump under the house but there was now water coming from the rain. Mike was determined to get us help. He was brave enough to crawl under the house that was a muddy mess to find the leak. He found it, fixed it and crawled back a muddy mess. I am not sure how many plumbers would have done that. I was relieved to find a local plumber here in Windsor. I sent photos/location of our water heater. Mike was able to arrive the same day. He explained all the parts and costs included with the quote. I had a leaking bathtub spout and I had gone to a larger plumbing company and the guy they sent supposedly fixed it for around $300, but the next day it still leaked. He said that it was because the cartridge in the wall had a piece further back inside that he couldn't get to, so he recommended taking out the shower tile around it to get it at and wanted to charge me over $3000(!) which was crazy. So I did some local searches and found Mike's Plumbing who was local and well-reviewed. He came by and fixed it properly without having to rip anything out, just replaced the complete cartridge unit correctly. In other words, the first guy didn't know what he was doing! In addition I had Mike soldered on a new spout unit which again is the right/best way to do it. He also looked at bathroom remodel we were considering and gave us a good recommendation for a good remodel guy that was local. After spending the first night in our new house we woke up to take showers, make breakfast and get our day going. Significant Other took his shower with no problems.
