This place was very good except they didn't have any pork and some of us wanted the Cuban so we couldn't get it but the other food was quite tasty. They also said they burnt the fries so they had to make another batch but it would take 30 minutes to do so we got Caesar salad instead. Shrimp tacos were nice and so was the baked potato salad. The hot dog was pretty good too. Mahi sandwich was yummy. All of the food was good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. They had a cool plane propeller on the wall. What a great find in the middle of Ocala. Stopped in on a Friday night and the outdoor patio was lively with live music and spacious tables. Inside was cute too but we were glad to score a seat outside. Based on other reviews we got the pork bao buns and YUM they were delicious. We also had the fish dip and shrimp tacos. My husband and i went on 6-20-25. Sat at the bar. We didn't realize it was a craft beer establishment. So, no corona. We aren't craft beer people so that was a downer. The stools are super uncomfortable. I got the prime rib sandwich. It came in bread which was weird. I was expecting like a roll of some sort. It looked like a grilled cheese. It was ok. Arrived on a Sunday early afternoon. Very busy but we had a choice of sitting inside (crowded and noisy, especially with musical performer) or outdoor (very hot). Chose outside and staff were prompt to bring us menus and explain concept (we did ID as newbies). Ended up ordering 4 beer flight and Boba Feta pizza. A very brief wait and we had food & drinks. Pizza was yummy. We did end up waiting a bit at end for server to come by do we could get our bill. We count ourselves fortunate as those that arrived shortly after we did found the establishment inside packed. Some decided to do outdoors, but staff were few and far between for them and saw 2 different parties leave after never being acknowledged at tables. One of my biggest turn-off's was the suggested tip amounts on bill - the lowest amount suggested was 22%! I hope Flying Boat Tap Room pays their staff well enough that they don't have to beg for income via tips. read more

Went for brunch. Food comes out whenever it's ready, not as a full table. It was ok. The corned beef hash was just a bowl with fried potato's and ingredients stacked on top. Ocala, how have you hidden this from me? We were in town on a camping trip when we ventured out originally for breakfast at Todd and Shelly's Diner. A bountiful 20ish draft beer selection supported by a hefty 15ish can beer option is impressive for a bar this size. If you don't find a beer you like then go to McDonalds because you don't deserve to be here. Wife had a cute named turkey/ham/bacon sandwich with a side of potato salad and an additional side of mac n cheese to support my wings. The wings are a hefty size and are smoked which give them a flavor different than traditional bar wings. So, if you don't like smoked flavored meat skip these....however, i have had smoked wings in other restaurants and i now know they failed. THESE wings were spot on delicious. A cook ventured out to get water and as a smart patron i picked his brain about a good wing flavor; he recommended his personal recipe of garlic parm married with thai chili. That young man has forever changed my relationship with wings Some hungry table ordered the chef's charcuterie board and it was in that moment when the waiter walked it by i knew i had ordered wrong. It is a FEAST well under priced!!! I could not have enjoyed this place more if it wasn't for the staff who have reinforced my love and faith in local eateries that aren't chained!! This was our first brewery to try in Ocala and I'm glad we decided to go. It's a lot bigger on the inside than what you think. They have a back room and that's where we got a table at. They have an outside patio out front also. My husband ordered the lobster grilled cheese and was thinking it would have small chunks of lobster in with the cheese but he was totally wrong. There was large chunks of lobster and with Gouda too. We love Gouda. It was very delicious. I ordered The OHHH pizza, which had sausage, smoked prime rib, bacon, brisket along with mozzarella and marinara sauce. It was also delicious and wood fired. We had a few beers while there. The beer menu changes but they have 28 to choose from. We had Alicia and she took very good care of us. The decor was just amazing and have added a few photos.
