The prices seemed reasonable for the Los Altos area, so I booked my appointment for the 45-minute Deep Tissue massage. When I got there, they took me to my room right away even though I was a little early for my appointment. The room was nice and dark, very relaxing vibes. Rachel was my masseuse and she did an amazing job. She asked me where I wanted to focus and I mentioned that I needed some work on my neck, shoulders, and upper back. My favorite part of the massage was when she cracked my entire back with full force - it felt like everything loosened up in my back afterwards. Overall, would highly recommend if you need a decompressing and relaxing massage. Felt instantly better afterwards!

Small parking lot is in the back. Be careful when you walk around this area, the concrete is uneven. We booked Body Polish Massage for 90 mins for two people. I happen to get a different masseuse when I arrived. Perhaps scheduling issue. I've been to another spa and for this price point, I wasn't able to choose my own scrub at Saigon Spa. They don't serve any drinks either, such as hot tea. The scrub was round on the skin and it left a mark on my body right away after my session ended. My skin felt soft though. The towel they used on you is also rough. Not a soft towel at all. My massage was not relaxing at all. In the beginning the masseuse kept poking at my legs and butt area. I think it's the pressure point technique but it hurts a lot. I asked the masseuse to please stop and move on to a different technique. But she said it would help me. The masseuse I had was very nice, which pains me to write this review. Front desk asked me later how was my massage, and I said it was ok. I do think front desk needs training on customer service. I witnessed another customer who loves this place and wanted a membership. She asked a lot of questions but front desk kept brushing her off as if he is annoyed with many questions. I recognize the hard work to run a business and this place has potential. For this price point I do expect to feel relax. Their tipping system was easy to use. Just scan and venmo the tips if you don't have cash.

That being said, as a general rule if you don't want any snarky comments or get shit on, don't tip less than a $20 for an hour or less than $25-30 for 90 minutes and even then $25 is pushing it, or you'll get attitude. I've been tipping a solid $20 for several years now, even back when people thought $10 was cool. Today we did a 90 and my wife didn't have cash so I gave her a $20 and we definitely received some snark. (My wife's therapist grabs the $20, looks at it for a few seconds, then in an incredulous voice looks at me and goes "how long your massage, 90?" The English wasn't perfect but I got the message, loud and clear) I managed to find another $5 and got a snarky "thanks" with some stank in the voice. I get it. Inflation is up, the economy is down, and it ain't 2018 anymore. I'm actually in agreement these ladies need to be tipped well for the job they do. But today's snark made it awkward and weird af. We enjoyed coming here for years because the massage has been consistently good, no question. But the attitude today has made it too weird to continue coming here, frankly it was a little annoying and embarrassing. I wish them well and definitely come here if you want solid bodywork done, but expect some snark if you forget your cash (guess I could have Venmoed). We have been coming here for several years and literally just moved to the area really close to this location, but we won't be coming back here for massage.

I had already planned to leave a tip, but when it wasn't what they considered their "minimum," I was questioned about it and even laughed at. That alone was unprofessional, but it didn't stop there. The front desk staff then pulled out a tip sign that was hidden behind another sign--something that should have been clearly visible from the start if it's truly their policy. On top of that, I was charged more on my card than what I was told. Fifteen percent does not equal twenty percent, and that kind of discrepancy is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the towels used during the service had a noticeable mildew smell, especially the one placed on my face, which completely took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. Overall, between the lack of transparency, pressure around tipping, being overcharged, and poor hygiene standards, this was not a professional or comfortable environment. I would not recommend this place.

The massage itself was not good. There was no consultation beforehand -- no questions about pressure, problem areas, or preferences. It felt generic and impersonal. Most of the time was spent working over a towel using elbows and forearms, which made it feel ineffective and not worth the cost. What bothered me the most was the gratuity expectation. A 25% tip was clearly pushed as the standard, regardless of the quality of service. I felt pressured to tip generously even though the experience didn't justify it. Tipping should reflect service, not be demanded. Overall, I left feeling dissatisfied and overcharged. I would not return.
