************DO NOT BRING YOUR CLOTHES TO THIS PLACE THEY WILL RUIN THEM*********** I have never yelped but I want to save others from using this horrific business. I brought about 10 pieces into get cleaned. Upon arrival the girl helping me went through the clothes and separated them out into clothes that required dry cleaning. I had an expensive polo shirt, I asked her if it could be dry-cleaned as this was the first time I was having it cleaned because it was only a few weeks old. (I should have checked the tag myself but hindsight is always 20-20). She said yes it could be. I left thinking that this place was VERY EXPENSIVE but I shrugged it off and went about my day. I came back to pick my clothes up and it my SHIRT WAS RUINED! It looked as if they poured bleach on certain areaS and there were spots all over it. I asked what had happened and they told me it was like then when I brought it in. I am 100% positive it was not because it was brand new and if it was I wouldn't have been paying to get it DRY CLEANED! It turns out they dry cleaned a shirt that's tag specifically said DO NOT DRY CLEAN and had the audacity to tell me it was like that when I brought it in. They claimed they cold washed it but could not prove it, not to mention the shirt was on the dry cleaning ticket and not the laundered ticket. These people are crooks and should be shut down. If I had more time on my hands I would bring them into small claims court just to prove a point. SO DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!!! EVER! read more

what is the problem here? do you need new machines????!!!!!!! is the business so old that you don't care and you're just collecting pay checks? this is not ok foasberg, you need to have a serious meeting about your systems or your business will be nothing but history. i don't have time to deal with this!!!!! these are only the things i know about...who knows what else they have lost, out of sight out of mind...i can't keep track of everything i drop off. *lost a pair of suede vintage designer culottes- $500+ not replaceable. *ruined/cooked/stained a $500+ designer white jacket that i wore once. not replaceable. *ruined/cooked/stained another $500 white designer dress i wore once. this is shocking!!!! how can this happen so many times to one person. it's more trouble for me to look into these things then to move on, but this has be beyond crazy and you need to pull it together or go out of business. pissed. read more

Never again. Ever. I've been going there for at least 10 years. Just a shirt here. A suit there. But I recently took my wife's wedding dress to be cleaned. Took it in on a Tuesday. Was told it would be ready the following Monday. The day it was due, a woman named Bertha left me a voice mail asking if I wanted the dress preserved in a box, or just cleaned and pressed. I called back less than 10 minutes later, left a voice mail for Bertha saying my preference, the box. Went in 2 days later, Wednesday, and the young man behind the counter couldn't find it. He found the suit and shirts I brought in THE SAME DAY AS THE DRESS, but couldn't locate the dress. Asked me twice if I used a different phone number for the dress. I asked to speak to the person in charge. This other guy comes out, I tell him what's going on, and he asks me how I left a voice mail! Says that they don't have a voice mail system there. I'm furious by now. They look again, finally locate the dress, and a 3rd guy comes out to explain that it hasn't been cleaned yet because they are waiting to know if I want a box! Idiots! I should have just taken the dress right then. Now they tell me they will order the box and the dress will be ready on Friday. I finally go back a week from Friday and Bertha is there. First she can't find the dress. Then she asks if it is in a box. She looks again and tells me it isn't in a box yet. I'm about to blow my top. Finally the "3rd guy" comes out with the dress in its box. She then tells me she just couldn't reach it. I told her I'd been coming there for years and will NEVER come there again. I should have just listened to my friend when she told me she and her husband stopped going there because of the lousy service. They go to Orchid Cleaners just down Broadway. Fosberg Cleaners are the worst cleaners in town and the most expensive. They have all these extra charges on top of the high prices they charge.. I'v gotten back clothes that weren't even pressed properly and I would never trust them with any nice fabrics. I honestly don't know how they stay in business. read more

If I could give less than a one-star, I would. Last April, I made the biggest mistake. I needed my Hudson Bay Blanket cleaned. Dropped it off and when I went to retrieve it, the blanket was gone. Now, there are only two of us that live in the house and the manager swears that someone came in and took the blanket. I asked for the receipt and she said they paid cash. This blanket is worth around $400 and someone knew this.........I went in and filled out a service form and waited. They told me that they would be in contact about reimbursing me the money. So, I waited. Today, August 31st, I just got off the phone and the manager tells me that she left a message on my phone, which I never received (this has happened two other times). She said the owners will not pay for the blanket. She also said that I needed to show them a receipt from the company that the blanket was purchased from.........is this frickin' ridiculous or what? They are responsible and do not want to make good. What a bunch of crooks. I am not finished dealing with this debacle. I will be calling the owners and contacting my family lawyer. read more

Really expensive dry cleaning shop! I got 2 button shirts and 4 pants dry cleaned, and they charged me $30. Last time I go to this place.

Beware the $30 for $50 deal needs to be used all at once, doesn't say that anywhere on the deal. Super bummer.

I am a frequent client for the past 3years. they used to offer VIP cards with up to 50% discount as I need my suites cleaned every other week..about 6 months ago they stopped accepting the VIP card and charge me $12.38 (interesting fee) per suite.. last time they charged me $13.50 for "extra Chemical fee to remove the spot.. Reallty? and the spot was STILL THERE!! DO NOT USE FOASBERG.. RIPP OFF AND BAD SERVICE!!!! read more

This is hands down the best dry cleaner in long beach. Fast service, fare prices and great service. But what makes the REDONDO AVE location top notch is the service I get from Barbara. She always greEts me with a smile and brings a great attitude to her work everyday. I certainly hope Mr. Foasberg knows what a huge asset she is to the business. Foasberg Cleaners saved my day. On a Saturday, near closing time, I had a new outfit that needed to be pressed and ready by 8 A.M. that Monday. I had called other cleaners and they said that it was impossible. Not Foasberg though. I called and was told to get it there within 30 minutes; I did. It took them about 10 minutes to press my items. The representative even brought my items to me in my car. You couldn't ask for better customer service. Thanks Omar! read more

Foasberg Cleaners has the worst customer service that I have ever experienced from a Dry Cleaners. Everytime my husband or I, drop-off his work pants we ALWAYS tell them NOT TO PUT CREASES on the Khaki pants, we even have them do a seperate ticket, so as not to mix it up with the other work pants. But, on least 7 different occassions they have put creases on the Khaki pants (which we always specifically told them not to do), and as a result they have to redo the pants, which is a waste of our time, since we have to go back again to pick-up. What is even more enraging and frustrating, is the poor attitude, lack of customer service, and incompetent behavior of the employees. Everytime we address the mistake to an employee, they always make the same excuses such as "Oh, uh, its because the person who helped you was new and did not know the computer system". THE EMPLOYEES DO NOT APOLOGIZE, DO NOT CARE, AND DO NOT TAKE ANY OWNERSHIP OF ANY MISTAKES. That is totally unacceptable, especially in a customer service related industry like Dry Cleaning. My husband and I, understand mistakes happen, but we could at least receive an apology immediately and have them figure out a solution so the same mistake does not keep happening again in the future. Everytime I ask to speak to a manager, they always say that there is no one available to speak with me. The only reason that we keep going there is because my husband and I, have long work hours and Foasberg closes late. Also we are relatively new to the long beach area and are currently researching other dry cleaning options. We used to live in Sherman Oaks for many years, and we were extremely spoiled by the superior customer service from "Steamer Cleaners" (818-906-2345). After the terrible treatment we have received from Foasberg Cleaners, we miss "Steamer Cleaners" more than ever! This place offers terrible service, with an attitude, plus their pricing was outrageous. We actually brought 3 $8 school uniform shirts in for a simple hem and were given a price. They weren't ready when they were supposed to be (the day before school) and then when we came back at night the price was almost 3 times what we had been told! And the lady who gave us the price was not there. They refused to make any adjustment and offered a coupon to come back. We of course will never come back so after much argument and going through two people, they reduced the price by $3 dollars! I had the WORST experience at this dry cleaners. I gone to them for years, within the last 3 months they have lost multiple expensive shirts that I dropped off. What lead me to write this BAD review was the latest mishap that occurred. I dropped off ONE tuxedo shirt on a Tuesday morning and the woman helping me named Barb told me it was going to be ready that same day just at a later time. I was very happy with that response since I needed that expensive tuxedo shirt for a very important event that Saturday, little did I know what was coming. She gave me the receipt and I carried on with my day. Later that day I called to make sure my shirt was ready. The guy who picked up my phone said there was nothing in their system indicating that I dropped off but still told me that most likely it was ready the next day when they processed my drop off. I retuned fri early evening only to find out that my shirt was lost. I had to call their other location on wardlow to ask about my one shirt. Apparently the receipt the woman gave me didn't help at all to locate my shirt. After about 6 calls that I had to make my self back and fourth to their locations nothing was done. The Woman barb was well aware of my drop off and was trying to tell me she would go to a local store to replace my shirt, this was a specific shirt that took me about 2 weeks to find and about 5 locations all over SoCal at a high price for a tux shirt and she wanted to replace it with a cheap plain white shirt. I told her where I got the shirt what size and brand it was so she said she would try to find it at a local store. She did not understand the struggle I went through to get that shirt and I told her she wouldn't find it because I had been looking for that shirt in my size for weeks. She later realized no stores had my size. By this point she was quite rude and upset that she had to look for my shirt or figure out a way to get it back when SHE made the mistake of miss placing that ONE shirt I dropped off. After this I told her I needed to be reimbursed for my shirt and I had to once again travel to multiple stores to find and repurchase my shirt. I had to go all the way to Burbank coming from work in Newport Beach just because she lost and could not find a solution to the problem she caused. A major factor to this review is how she handled this. Apparently there is either no manager at any location or they lie about it to try to avoid complaints or resolving their mistakes. I went back to get refunded and barb was completely rude and she had lied about the manger being there she told me what time he was going to arrive so I went after that time. When I got there she lied again and told me a later hour that the manager was to be there. She didn't even refund me full amount with tax that I paid for my shirt and was extremely unprofessional and rude when all of this was her mistake. I still have not been able to get in contact with the manager. For some reason I thought I would give them chance after chance when they lost valuable shirts the first 2 times, however after this last incident I advice you to NOT bring your dry cleaning here. If you value your clothes..( after all that's why you take them to a dry cleaners) DO NOT bring them to foagsberg dry cleaning. Terrible service when they make mistakes, communication sucks and problem solving seems to be their last worry when something goes wrong. WORST EXPERIENCE!!! Over the years when I passed through Long Beach I always noticed Foasberg cleaners. I recently moved here and needed a new dry cleaners. I checked on line and noticed that Foasberg had a coupon for shirts for 99 cents. That seemed like a real bargain and I thought I would try them. I brought in 4 shirts and my coupon. The clerk wrote down 99 cents on my receipt so I thought all was fine. I arrive to pick up my shirts and find that for some reason they were split. Three shirts are together with a bill of $4.26. The other shirt was alone with a bill of $2.28. I asked what happened to the 99 cent prize. The response was the shirts are 99 cents but the other cost is for the chemicals they used to clean your shirt. WHAT???. I have never heard of such a rip off in my life. What is next, they charge additional for the hanger? The plastic bag? The paper the receipt is on? And with no rhyme or reason the other shirts came to $1.42 each! How did three of my shirts cost $4.26 and the other $1.42 each? I think that this is an out and out case of fraud! It used to be that when the cost was 99 cents it actually meant 99 cents. I used my last dry cleaners for over 12 years. I won't be using this unscrupulous cleaners again. read more

This place is pretty decent. As with many other cleaners, mistakes happen. That's the risk u take when u drop off things. I guess im not attached to material things like other people, but I don't take things that my great grandmother Mildred gave to me that money can't replace to any cleaners, because that's something dear to me. The only issue I've had there is sometimes not ALL my items in the order may not be ready, so they should call the customer and make them aware that way I would save myself a few trips. That's my only issue. The staff is so nice and its nice to go into a cleaners that knows u by your name and will have your clothes up front and ready to go. Have had to speak with the supervisor/manager on one occasion and they (the ones currently there now) were very prompt in helping to keep me coming back. Really surprised at these other reviews....they have a good solid staff, good hours, and cool drive up parking lot. They are a little high priced, but to me the people make it worth going. read more

This business has dishonest employees. I dropped my phone just outside the store this past week. I called and asked to see if anyone had turned it in. The employee I talked to asked the other employees working about the phone and they all said "no". I logged on to "find my iPhone" and it was pinging to the back of the business, which was the employee break room. It wasn't until I threatened to call the police that the employee, Rosalva, gave it up. When I brought the issue to the manager, Martin, he got offended and raised his voice at me. Yes, it was my fault for misplacing my phone, but I would think that their own employees would turn in lost property. We've all left something in our pockets at some point when dropping of items to be dry cleaned. I'd hate to think that the employees here are keeping these items as oppose to returning them to the owner. Unfortunately, I felt that the employee was going to keep the phone. The manager, Martin, knew the employee had the phone and didn't tell her to turn it in. Lastly, I left a message for the owner, James, and he did not even bother to call me back.
