The rest wanted me to contact them. If I wanted to do that I wouldn't have sent out messages to each. Ranger Rooter was the cheapest quote. The highest being almost double what Ranger quoted. They arrived on time and finished quickly, checked to make sure the dishwasher worked with no leaks and on their way. I would use again.

Literally pulled out range, capped it, pushed it back. It took less than 10 minutes. It was initially higher but I got a "previous" customer discount of $50. I had to get it capped for an appliance change & before it was delivered. Now that other places are responding (after the work is complete and paid for - I paid $150 - $200 more than I should have). They have it listed as base cost for repair. It wasn't a repair. Ouch! If I weren't in a hurry to provide better indoor quality air to my mom by switching out the range- I would have waited to have more quotes. I definitely would have picked someone else so money was more directed to taking care of my terminally ill mom. Lesson learned.

He assessed the problem, reamed out the line and ended up having to replace a wax ring on the toilet all in a matter of maybe 90 minutes. The water heater had a leaky valve, so they had to fix that first. Then the first toilet needed new gasket and seal in the tank. Then the 2nd one turned into a major project. It was clogged with calcium that they couldn't fully removed so we decide to go for a new toilet. When they took the old one out the seals in the floor were all rusted out. And the pipe in the floor was a mess so they had to replace that too. And once the toilets were done, they installed bidet attachments for us. They finished up around 2pm. I was so grateful that they were able to get everything done for us in 1 day. Highly recommend!

In other words, everything I was told to justify a $5,000 job was false. I'll let readers draw their own conclusions about what happened here. What I do know is: get a second opinion before you sign anything with this company, especially if you're being told something needs to be replaced "ASAP." Feels like elder abuse and / or gender discrimination to me.

I live on a primitive road so I offered to meet him at the bottom of the hill. He had me bring him up to my place, he spent about 2 minutes looking at my system, and told me I needed a new pump because mine was pulling too much current. He advised me to leave the power to the pump turned off until he came back. Then I drove him back down the hill to his truck. Jake said there's a minimum 3 hour charge but when he came back to replace the pump he would deduct time from that charge. He said he would call me that night and give me a price for the pump. He charged me $632.29. And never called back! My son and I both called and texted him to see when he could come do the work and he never replied. After a few days I contacted another company. When they came out today I turned the pump circuit breaker back on and immediately heard the rush of water. Turns out the pipe was frozen. I'm feeling pretty foolish at this point... Lesson learned. I do not recommend this company.
