When the old water line was cut (within the drywall of the interior home room) the guy wasn't paying attention, leaving the cut and going out to his van. There was a LOT of residue water in the line and had I not been watching and able to capture the drainage at least a gallon of water would've spilled between the drywall and the house frame. Little to no ventilation in that space assuredly would've led to mildew and perhaps the need to replace drywall. Secondly, before leaving I noticed he hadn't used any foam fill between the outside wall and the spigot. I asked about it and he said, "It doesn't need it". Malarky! It was needed and I applied it myself after a run to the store. This was just laziness on his part. Yeah, if in a pinch again and Hometown was the only shop available to fix I'd go with them again. Otherwise, I'll look elsewhere for plumbing needs.

That was ridiculous, toilets seldom go "bad", it is the fill and dump valves that need to be replaced. I fixed the flapper valve assembly myself for about $12. I hate to say this but it appears that there is something going on in the plumbing repair business where they are charging extremely high prices. Then this weekend, it stopped working again and they want to charge us again to come out. Clearly there is an issue with the hot water heater. This was supposed to be a high end water heater, but clearly it is not . The company only gives a 1 year warranty but according to the model number it has a 6 year warranty. On the day and time of the scheduled repair, no one showed up. I waited a half hour, called, and was told she (Jenna) had forgotten to put us on the schedule and offered to re-schedule us next week. I informed her how my wife and I made arrangements and prepared for this repair job (such as boarding our dog, childcare plans, adjusting work meetings, removing doors and items from the bathroom). When I requested an appointment later the same day, Jenna then transitioned to the weather and road conditions. She made it clear that they had no interest in honoring our appointment. I do not feel the weather was an impediment to this repair job. Regardless, she did not offer to rectify her mistake in a manner that was appropriate to us, the customer. I expressed my frustration with her lack of understanding the inconvenience that Peck Plumbing caused us. Jenna responded in a bizarre, argumentative manner and asked if we made childcare plans for the other plumbers we scheduled estimates with - as if a 10-minute estimate is comparable to a confirmed repair job. It was clearly an attempt to distract from her failure. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH PECK PLUMBING! I recommend looking elsewhere for a dependable, professional company.

The water heater had a leaky valve, so they had to fix that first. Then the first toilet needed new gasket and seal in the tank. Then the 2nd one turned into a major project. It was clogged with calcium that they couldn't fully removed so we decide to go for a new toilet. When they took the old one out the seals in the floor were all rusted out. And the pipe in the floor was a mess so they had to replace that too. And once the toilets were done, they installed bidet attachments for us. They finished up around 2pm. I was so grateful that they were able to get everything done for us in 1 day. Highly recommend!
