She was so busy behind the bar, doing table drinks, plus attending to everyone sitting at the bar and she did it with a smile on her face. It's so hard to find good quality customer service nowadays and she deserves a RAISE. There were some customers that were giving her a difficult time and she handled it so professionally. We visited on a Saturday around 6pm and parking structure closest was pretty packed we had to circle around a handful of times before finding a spot that someone was leaving from. There is valet available. Picanha (top sirloin)- My all time favorite cut. The fat cap had the perfect crisp char. Tender and juicy every time. Spicy Tri Tip - surprisingly had a slight kick to it. Our waitress wasn't very attentive. Our used plates piled up on the table for quite a while, and our water glasses stayed empty after we finished them. We had a hard time finding her just to get a refill, which was a bit disappointing. Have never been left by complete myself at a bar/restaurant before with no worker. This is my second time to this location; 1st visit I came with a friend and service was average. This current time, a bartender served my drink and put my meal order in, and completely left me alone at the bar, without having service for 20+ min. There was no bartender or employees that took over. I searched to make eye contact with ANYONE for help. 10min later there was two young men that walked in and employees ran in to personally say to hi to them. A guy on his computer, that was sitting a few seats away from me got up, put his computer away, and served them. They sat in the seats next to me and received full service as I tried getting his attention for help on water/a to-go box and my check. I eventually had to ask another server who brought food to the guys next to me, for help. Fogo de Chão is a Brazilian steakhouse (churrascaria) chain with locations across the country. It's an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant that specializes in fire-roasted meats served table side. This location is at the Irvine Spectrum; when you first walk in it looks deceptively small but there's a much bigger space when you turn the corner. For the churrasco experience, they have a system where you flip your card green if you want more meat and red if you want to pause. There's also a salad bar with salads, cheese, veggies, and other cold foods. They also have all day happy hour which is what we came for. The lobster & shrimp tacos ($13.50) were on a Napa cabbage and not a flour/corn tortilla so beware of that; the tacos were big but there wasn't much lobster. The picanha burger ($10) was juicy and I liked the dipping sauce on it as well. The filet mignon board ($17.50) was tender and I liked the chimichurri. For drinks the passionate caipirinha ($10) and strawberry hibiscus caipirinha ($10) were refreshing and easy to drink. They also have complimentary pão de queijo (cheese bread) that was fluffy on the outside and cheesy and chewy on the inside. We loved this and we kept asking for more. The big issue was that the service was pretty lacking. It took a long time to get our food and drinks, about 40 minutes for our tacos and 60 minutes for our burger. When we did get our burger our server said that we would get the polenta fries separately because it was taking too long and then they eventually forgot until we asked for it. Even then, they only gave us a few pieces. I've been to other locations which were better than what I had here. For this being an upscale dining restaurant, I was really disappointed with the food & service as the whole staff seemed absent minded. We requested refills on the cheeseballs & it never came out. We sat at the bar area so we were almost always next to a server but he seemed to be inattentive & withdrawn from us. It seemed like the workers didn't want to be at work. I get that servers have those days but it was no excuse to forget our requests & even refill water. (We had to ask for water refills too). No one checked in on us & we felt we were an annoyance to the staff. The restaurant wasn't busy at all as we were 2 of 4 people at the bar. The Mrs had the Pan Seared Salmon, edges dry - to be expected. However the interior was nice and moist. The chimichurri sauce added great flavor. We were happy with our meal and it was just enough. It was fun having them come around and slice different meats at the table however some of the meat was a little dry and chewy so some meats were better than others. What saved it for me was the market table salad bar. Everything there was fresh and delicious. They have various fruits, salads, meats and cheeses and other items. I always order their crabcakes at the bar. They are the best! No filler, just delicious, real crab meat. My anniversary dinner started off on the wrong foot and unfortunately never really recovered. When we arrived, we were seated right at the front entrance, which honestly should not be used as a dining table. It was awkward, with people waiting for tables standing nearby the entire time. We requested a different table and waited for a better seat, which thankfully improved the situation a bit. The service, however, was extremely slow. After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes before anyone came to our table. We were actually close to leaving because the service was so delayed. For an anniversary dinner, it was definitely not the experience I was hoping for. The restaurant is also quite expensive for the level of service and food quality provided. Our bill was around $200, although we used Costco gift cards, which helped reduce the cost. If you're planning to visit, definitely buy the Costco gift cards first--you can save roughly 20%. Also, bring some extra cash or another form of payment because the gift cards may not fully cover the meal and tip. The salad bar was just okay. The selection felt limited and wasn't particularly impressive. As for the meat service, everything came out very slowly. The menu advertises a wide variety of options, but because the meats arrive at such a slow pace, we were already getting full by the time many of the selections reached our table. By the third round of meat, we were already full and never got the opportunity to try everything that was advertised. Overall, the experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. Even if I overlook that since it wasn't the rush hour yet, there were boxes piled on top of those stacked chairs. Isn't Fogo de Chão supposed to be an upscale Brazilian steakhouse? Even if they wanted to save themselves the trouble of moving the chairs, they shouldn't just pile boxes up like that.Second, even though we visited shortly after they opened for lunch, the floor was incredibly dirty. It looked like they hadn't swept since the night before--or even longer--with all kinds of crumbs scattered around. They were under our table and under the neighboring tables too. Whether it is a fine dining restaurant or not, floor cleanliness is the absolute basics of hygiene.Third, the bread. While the salad bar has plenty of options, some foods just taste better when paired with bread. When we went up, there wasn't even a tray out for the bread. We waited, but it was finally served a whole hour later, just as we were finishing our meal. On top of that, it was disappointing that empty food trays were not refilled quickly.Aside from these three issues, the food was fresh and delicious, and the quality of the fruit was excellent. The biggest issue was how slowly the meats were being brought around to the tables. We spent a lot of time waiting, and because of that, we didn't get to try nearly as much as we normally would at a Brazilian steakhouse. We even requested a specific cut of meat, and it took about an hour before it finally came to our table. The service overall was inattentive. Our kids' lemonades were never refilled unless we flagged someone down, and throughout the meal we repeatedly had to get the servers' attention for basic requests. I also made our reservation through OpenTable and noted that we were celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgment of the occasion at all, which was disappointing since I had taken the time to include it with the reservation. For the price Fogo de Chão charges, I expect attentive service and a steady flow of meats. Instead, we spent much of brunch waiting. The service was also abysmal. Definitely don't go on a Friday or any weekend i'm assuming. We watched a poor couple sit at their table for 45 min before being offered DRINKS. Our side (The Potato Au Gratin which was flavorless don't get it), came when we were already full from the meats. We were only granted one drink because our server came by once to take our orders and then never returned. And good luck flagging anyone down, we tried a ton of times.. We even had to ask one of the meat guys to get another server to bring our bill.. Our reservation was at 6:30 we finished eating at about 7:45, didn't get desserts till 8:30, and the bill at 9:15. Over a year ago a few coworkers of mine asked me to meet up with them during Fogo's all day happy hour. I was quite shocked at the prices of the happy hour offerings, fifteen dollar lamb chops??? All day happy hour? But take note that the happy hour is only at the bar which consists of 10-12 seats. Then it got better. My coworkers informed me of the pretty much monthly Fogo events that they host. Some events consist of glasses/tastings of wine with bar bites and pieces of meats such as ribeye or wagyu for $49. They come by quite frequently with the bar bites too. You'd think you will leave hungry but we leave stuffed. They also sometimes have caipirinha events where you get the same foods and two caipirinhas for $29! The staff here is amazing, especially once you get to know them. My coworkers seem to know 90% of the employees! The service here is what kept them coming as very regular customers. Mario is the best manager who always comes by to say hi to everyone. The staff is really good about taking care of their customers. While there are multiple closer locations to me, we drive down here instead whether it is for an event or for happy hour, because the service alone stood out from experiences at other locations. read more

What a great deal for lunch at Fogo de Chao! The Market Table & Feijoada Bar offers variety of high quality ingredients, seasonal salads, charcuterie plus rice and soups. They also bring to the table some cheese rolls, yuca fries and banana foster style plantain. All for $18, all you can eat. The staff were attentive and friendly. The ambiance is classy, bright, airy, indicative of a dinning at a high-end restaurant. I love the vibe as well. Highly recommended when visiting the Irvine Spectrum! read more

amazing experience here. First time at the spectrum location, walked in for their amazing all-day happy hour, and there was no availability at the bar :( which is where the deal applies, but the employee at the front went above and beyond and got us a table to sit at w/the same happy hour menu. instantly seated and frequent check ins with refills, letting us know when to expect our food etc. Given how busy they were I didn't expect such amazing service, but they proved me wrong for sure. Chao rolls 5/5: so fluffy and fresh, solid amount of cheese. delicious! Hibiscus Cocktail 5/5: surprisingly strong but has a great taste for a cocktail. cannot taste the alcohol too much (which is a good thing) Brazilian Lemonade 4/5: great non-alch verision. very fresh and yummy! could've leaned a bit more into the sweeter side Empanadas 4/5: good meat filling. very crispy! Picanha Burger 5/5: amazing deal for $10! w/ fries? omg. very good portions, fries were filling esp. with the cheese. cannot complain at all about this burger Filet mignon plate 5/5: meat was very tender, and not chewy at all. very solid choice as an app to share amongst the table. for a chain restaurant I was surprised with the food and service. would def recommend and come back here read more

Visited Fogo de Chão at Irvine Spectrum at dinner with fairly high expectations given the reputation and price point. Unfortunately, the experience didn't really live up to what I was hoping for. The highlight of the meal was actually the market table. The salad bar was fresh, well-stocked, and had a nice variety of fruits and vegetables. I especially enjoyed the fresh dragon fruit, which isn't something you see everywhere. The bacon-wrapped beef was also one of the better meats served that evening. Where the experience fell short was the meat itself. For a Brazilian steakhouse that charges premium prices, I expected the ribeye and filet mignon to be featured more frequently and to be much more tender. We spent a lot of time waiting for those cuts to come around, and when they finally did, the texture was surprisingly chewy and lacked the melt-in-your-mouth quality I associate with higher-end steakhouses. Overall, most of the meats just didn't seem particularly tender, which was disappointing considering the cost of the meal. The variety was there, but the quality didn't consistently match the price tag. I can appreciate the fresh salad bar and a few standout items, but based on this visit, I left feeling that the value wasn't there. Our family of 4+ my father-in-law visited Fogo de Chão November 17, 2025. If you are familiar with this restaurant, there are several variations of meats that are being spit roasted and are sliced table side. There is also the market table which has sides such as Caprese salad, beet salad, corn, salad, smoked salmon, etc. There is an additional bar and with beans and rice and bread, which my kids liked. We ordered two full Churascos, and 2 Indulgent Churascos, so about my wife and kids could try the lobster. My wife had a dirty martini with blue cheese stuffed olives, which was really good. However, the second one had an odd flavor and we sent it back. I had a standard captain and Coke. It was not very strong. The various meats started to come to the table. I thought that the bacon steak was excellent, although my wife wasn't a fan. The bottom loin was the favorite of the table, followed by the top sirloin. The garlic steak was also good. The New York strip had a lot of good flavor, but it was over cooked both times it was brought to the table. The fillet was also good, but the skewer only came by our table one time during the entire meal. Unfortunate. The chicken was good, the sausage was also good. It's a Portuguese sausage that reminded me a lot of something you would find in Hawaii. The Market table was ok - I thought it would be a bit more fancy for the price. The Corn Salad was great. So were the couscous and the beet salad. The full Churasco is half-price for the kids, which was a nice surprise that we weren't expecting. The Lobster took a long time to come out and we had to ask for it several times Desserts took a long time as well. The kids favorite desserts were the Lava Cake. My favorite dessert was the vanilla ice cream with caramel. The Chocolate Brigadeiro was really good and super chocolatey, it was my wife's favorite.
