We were planning on coming here so we made a reservation head of time, wait time was only about 5 minutes after checking in. We visited on a Saturday around 6pm and parking structure closest was pretty packed we had to circle around a handful of times before finding a spot that someone was leaving from. There is valet available. Picanha (top sirloin)- My all time favorite cut. The fat cap had the perfect crisp char. Tender and juicy every time. Spicy Tri Tip - surprisingly had a slight kick to it. Added some dimension to all the meats we were eating. Bone In Ribeye -really marbled but on the fatter side. Filet Mignon -only came by 1 time the entire time we dinned there. My piece was medium but it was quite chewy. I know you can ask your server for specific cuts but we opted to see what would come by. Grilled Cheese -texture of firm cheese with a melted char outside has my name written all over it. I paired this with all my different cuts of meats as they came.

Over priced low quality meat Food was sub par. We chose the high end indulgent churrasco $78.00 (Over Priced) unlimited meats including a side order (one time order) lobster tail (not fresh and had a smell) Plus it included the Market Table basically cheeses, fruits, vegetables and some soup (not the best). Very very disappointed, all the meats served was rubbery and not the best tasting. I feel the meat was low quality nothing had that perfect chewiness. They even had garlic beef which was just awful tasting. Service was mediocre not the friendliest bunch especially the waiters. It seemed like no one was happy there. Nothing against them but it just felt unfriendly. I hope that's not the case with all. Ambiance was good very clean place. Location was good but parking in this mall is horrendous. How to improve: The cook needs to do better. Make that meat tasty and not hard to chew. Serve meat more frequently and smaller portions to taste not just give one whole piece. Variety of meat were few and far in between. Didn't even have a chance to eat some pork. As for the Market Table it needs to be replenished faster as it looked almost empty every time I went up to get some fruits. Manager needs to talk to the employees to be more friendly so it becomes welcoming for customers.

When we first got here for lunch, the service was extremely slow. I asked for yuca fries and did not receive them until I asked 3 workers and an hour later. I was really excited to dine here but only had the staff come by 3 times to offer beef in the first 40 min. We ended up asking a worker if we can get more beef and get the yuca fries as it had been so long already, and only then the staff became more attentive, and came by the table to offer meats more frequently. The ambiance of the restaurant is nice. I did get a plate from the self serve bar that was not very clean; not a big deal as it could happen at a buffet. I appreciate the staff who became more attentive after I raised the concern but I expected this attentiveness when I entered.

We came for their Best of Brazil deal, and it was definitely worth it. The Best of Brazil featuring Picanha, Fraldinha, and Linguica sausage. It also includes unlimited trips to the Market Table. The prime top sirloin and button sirloin we tried was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The Market Table had plenty of fresh salads, Brazilian sides, breads, and seasonal soups making it easy to balance out all the delicious meat. The only downside was the service. Our waitress wasn't very attentive. Our used plates piled up on the table for quite a while, and our water glasses stayed empty after we finished them. We had a hard time finding her just to get a refill, which was a bit disappointing. That said, the quality of the food made up for the service issues, and we still had a great dining experience overall. We'd definitely come back and hope for better service next time.

The food arrived relatively quickly and consistently. The servers were attentive and asked if I wanted anything specifically. I enjoyed a scrumptious amount of grilled pineapple. As for the meats, I enjoyed to top sirloin, the lamb steak and the bacon from the market table. There was a variety of dragon fruit and kiwi and pineapple at the market table. I enjoyed the four course for $64 per person, with market table, all meats included and a dessert was included in that price.

Perfect for celebrations and this is my first time trying their brunch, the whole concept was really great and their cocktails happy hour also is a plus, they have the full bar and churrasco experience that is always the main attraction, the staff who serves the food was really on top but actually the servers were a little bit behind and off for like an hour and the place was nothing busy by 2 pm. We also notice other party complaining about the servers delays and lack of attention to the customers I really hope that it was a one time thing.

Came here for the first time with some friends, but we only sat at the bar and ordered food. The restaurant itself is really nice, and when we visited it wasn't crowded at all. Since they weren't busy, I honestly expected the service to be a little quicker. We stopped by for happy hour, and the menu had some great options. I've never had Brazilian food before, so I was excited to try something new. We ordered the vegetable fries (I can't remember the exact name), and they were delicious, filling, and definitely big enough to share. I also got the hibiscus cocktail, which was refreshing and really good. The shrimp and lobster lettuce tacos were another favorite super flavorful and surprisingly filling. My husband ordered the burger, and one of our friends got the strip steak. Now, let's talk about the service. The bartender was great and very friendly, but the timing of the food coming out was disappointing. We all placed our orders at the same time, yet my husband's burger took forever to arrive. Everyone else at the table received their food, finished eating, and was practically done with their meals before his burger finally came out. I was honestly confused how a steak dish made it to the table before a burger, especially when the restaurant wasn't busy on a Saturday. That part of the experience definitely put a damper on our visit. I understand delays happen, but when the restaurant isn't packed, it's frustrating to have one person's meal come out so much later than everyone else's. Overall, the food was good and the atmosphere was nice, but the service timing needs some work. Hopefully, if I decide to come back, the experience will be a lot smoother because I really wanted to like this place.

Six of us for the $74 Churrasco Experience. Service: Friendly, yet took 30 minutes to get 2 cocktails. Straw was shorter than edge of glass. Server denied $59 dollar four course meal advertised on Facebook, noting limited selection of meats compared to the "experience". No time allowed to enjoy "Market Table" before meats began to arrive! Where were we supposed to put it? By the way, meats are served on the same plates as the salad bar. Meat servers were friendly enough, a few weren't too happy. Final server was delightful, insuring a good tip. BTW, no attempt to offer a bottle or glass of wine. That much red meat needed a delicious cab or red blend. Food: We would only recommend the Filet Mignon and Ribeye. Other cuts were chewy and tasteless. The Market Table wasn't all that, I actually think the old Souplantation had better selections. We only received 3 of the "sides" and were never offered more bread. Note: We had to ask for the filet mignon but never saw ribs and lamb medallions appeared at the very end after we were done Ambiance: We were seated at a nice round table in the bar area. Roomy but lacking $600 night ambiance. They must do something about the waiting area without an appropriate table/stand the host must turn their back to guests to check for tables. We had reservations and waited 10 minutes for a table when restaurant was at 25% capacity. Experience & value? A high end steakhouse is a better choice and value. This is "Disney does Meat" without the Disney magic. Gets 2 stars for the filet mignon. .

Fogo de Chão is a Brazilian steakhouse (churrascaria) chain with locations across the country. It's an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) restaurant that specializes in fire-roasted meats served table side. This location is at the Irvine Spectrum; when you first walk in it looks deceptively small but there's a much bigger space when you turn the corner. For the churrasco experience, they have a system where you flip your card green if you want more meat and red if you want to pause. There's also a salad bar with salads, cheese, veggies, and other cold foods. They also have all day happy hour which is what we came for. The lobster & shrimp tacos ($13.50) were on a Napa cabbage and not a flour/corn tortilla so beware of that; the tacos were big but there wasn't much lobster. The picanha burger ($10) was juicy and I liked the dipping sauce on it as well. The filet mignon board ($17.50) was tender and I liked the chimichurri. For drinks the passionate caipirinha ($10) and strawberry hibiscus caipirinha ($10) were refreshing and easy to drink. They also have complimentary pão de queijo (cheese bread) that was fluffy on the outside and cheesy and chewy on the inside. We loved this and we kept asking for more. The big issue was that the service was pretty lacking. It took a long time to get our food and drinks, about 40 minutes for our tacos and 60 minutes for our burger. When we did get our burger our server said that we would get the polenta fries separately because it was taking too long and then they eventually forgot until we asked for it. Even then, they only gave us a few pieces. I've been to other locations which were better than what I had here. Some of the dishes we had was better than others but the service was not great.

We tried the four-course experience at Fogo de Chão in Irvine and it was a great option for a nice dinner out. It offers a similar experience to the Full Churrasco with a curated selection of meats and dessert included. The servers were attentive, friendly and made sure we always had everything we needed. We've been to this location many times and it consistently delivers excellent food and service. It was another wonderful dining experience from start to finish.

Fogo de chao is a great place for a family gathering or birthday celebration. It was interesting to see all the meat options brought to the table. I being a vegan, was pretty limited in food selection, however my friends and boyfriend enjoyed the skirt steak the most out of all the meat options. The salad bar was a little underwhelming to me, I liked the eggplant and dragon fruit, but felt there could be more for building a salad. The restaurant was very clean and the servers were very kind. All and all it was a fun time

Chose Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse because it was my business partner's first time and he's really into fitness, so it fit his lifestyle. The three of us were celebrating a business win and expected top-notch service for this kind of dining experience. We went with the full churrasco experience, which worked out well for hitting our protein goals. I mostly stuck with leaner cuts like chicken and filet mignon, skipped the picanha since it's fattier, but the ribeye stood out--salted really well and super flavorful. It got busy for a Thursday afternoon, so coming early helped. Meats were coming around consistently at first, and we ended up showing our friend how everything works. Service though... was lacking. We kept having to look for our server and ask the gauchos to track them down. Not ideal for this type of restaurant. Shoutout to Ajay though--he was attentive and gave the best service. Desserts were mixed: * Key lime pie was the best--nice and tart * Tres leches was good, but I've had better * Papaya cream wasn't for me Overall, I'd say 3.5 stars, but rounding up to 4 for the food and experience. Just wish the service matched.

Picanha burger came out lukewarm & overcooked
    Chloe P.

Stopped by for their happy hour around 3pm & was greeted promptly by a worker. We ordered 2 picanha burgers & spiced chicken sliders. It took 40 minutes for the sliders to come out and another 20 minutes for the burgers to be delivered. Before we got the burgers, the worker informed us that they ran out of polenta 40 minutes after ordering & they would sub it with regular fries. Makes me wonder if they even started our order at the time we placed them. After 1 hour of waiting for the burgers, I was excited to eat but was frustrated to find that the burger was cooked well done instead of medium rare like I'd asked for. I didn't end up finishing it or requesting a new one because I thought it'd take another hour. AND the burger was lukewarm instead of hot. Seems to me that they first made the burgers & ran out of polenta so we had to wait for 1 hour. For this being an upscale dining restaurant, I was really disappointed with the food & service as the whole staff seemed absent minded. We requested refills on the cheeseballs & it never came out. We sat at the bar area so we were almost always next to a server but he seemed to be inattentive & withdrawn from us. It seemed like the workers didn't want to be at work. I get that servers have those days but it was no excuse to forget our requests & even refill water. (We had to ask for water refills too). No one checked in on us & we felt we were an annoyance to the staff. The restaurant wasn't busy at all as we were 2 of 4 people at the bar. Overall, it was a horrible dining experience where we were late to other plans because the food took 1 hour to arrive. I wouldn't spend $ here when there are better options without the slow service & poor food quality, like Texas de Brazil.

Ask the Community - Fogo de Chão

    How much per adult?

Depends on what you order and if you go during lunch or dinner. Lunch is definitely an excellent deal

Does fogo de chao accept cash?

Yes, they do accept cash. We ate there a few months back and my husband had paid cash for our meals.

    Are there any halal options?

No, I don't think so but there is an all you can eat salad bar. Also, they have fish on there menu so you don't have to do the meat option.

How are birthdays acknowledged? A comped dessert or meal discount?

When making our reservation, they asked if we were celebrating any special occasion. My husband told them in the reservation and in person at the restaurant that it was my birthday, and they did nothing to acknowledge it.

Does individual entree order come with salad bar? or should i pay separately for salad bar?

Yes it does! The salad bar alone is a feast, so pace yourself!

Does this location have an all day happy hour menu?

    They do not

Does this location offer grilled pineapple?

Yes you just have to ask your server. It comes grilled with cinnamon.

Is the lunch menu for experience the same price for weekday and weekend? Only helpful answers...

Hi Karen, They only offer the lunch prices for the experience during the week. They only have dinner prices on the weekend.

How much is lunch weekday right now?

$18 for market table, 45$ for all meat experience

Does Irvine location allow you to bring your own bottle of wine and what is the corkage fee?

    Yes, $35 corkage fee

Is the 44$ deal still on? And is it for dinner?

Yes it's for dinner (starting at 2PM). You need to mention the deal at reservation and check-in, so you don't get charged the full price.

They have $44 special going on in Irvine location but don't know when expires?

As of 8/11/23 the Irvine Spectrum location still has the deal. It's extended beyond its original expiration, but not valid on Holidays. Call ahead and ask to make sure, but it should be active a while longer!

    What is their corkage fee?

    $35

Is the lunch salad bar $15 on Memorial Day?

Unfortunately, They usually do not have that price for Holidays.

Do we need reservations or can we walk in?

You do not need reservations but it is recommended that you make a reservation because it can get pretty busy.

Can you ask for the meat well done?

Yes. You can ask for any temperature on the meats. I usually order medium rare. Sometimes I have to wait for the next round if the meat is well done. Generally the gauchos know the temperature of the meat. To be sure they can cut into it to show you…

CAKE Question: would it be okay for me to bring in CAKE (outside food) for my wedding celebration at Fogo de Chao?

I've seen other do this for large parties, So I would say you should be able to. I would suggest checking with management to be safe.

What are all the asterisks on the menu for? I see no reference anywhere on the menu to explain the meaning.

It is actually at the bottom of the menu in all the text. The asterisks refer to the warning about consuming under cooked meat.

Does this price include the beverage? $44.95 per person for brunch.

    It does not.

    Do they offer Non-AYCE menu?

Yes, there are other options as well.

How have I walked by this place dozens of times and never tried it out? We went last night and we…read morewere blown away. Even though it was 6:15 on a Saturday night, we were able to be sat right away. As soon as we walked in, someone greeted us and showed us to our table. Our server immediately got us waters and asked if we wanted anything else to drink (wife and I both got some delicious beers that they had on tap). We had our little one in tow with us and they were so accommodating to him! As soon as we were ready, our server took our order. We got: Chowder "frots" (fries and tots mixed in with some New England clam chowder, bacon, onions, cheese, and other goodies) 10/10, would definitely order again. My wife got the lobster roll with a side of clam chowder. Loaded with lobster, but you do pay the price. Labeled as market price, this was almost $40. Delicious, but not worth it in our opinion. 6.5/10. Pan roast (house specialty which came with shredded crab, shrimp, clams, and muscles). This, topped with rice, was heavenly. Better than any pan roast I've had. Came out ripping hot as it should. My wife was envious of my dish. 10/10 From the kids menu we also ordered the chicken Alfredo. My kid loved it, but my wife and I both had a bite and wow, we would've ordered that for ourselves it was so good. 10/10. We can't wait to come back just for the food. On top of that, however, service was above and beyond. The servers and everyone in the restaurant were so accommodating to us and our child and made us feel so, so welcome. We would come back even if the food was bad, solely for the service we received. Vibes we great, decoration on the walls look like they hired an artist to paint it. They had two TV's behind the bar / prep area that was showing NBA and PGA which I'll never complain about. All around 10/10 experience.

Po boy had nice crispy shrimp on a fresh roll. Comes with a side of fries. Pan roast was a nice creamy broth with shrimp mussels and crab. Comes with a side of rice. Mac and cheese was a pretty big portion for a kid, really cheesy and rich. Overall pretty good meal and surprisingly pretty affordable considering the cost of seafood. Service was attentive. Would recommend.

Eggplant dish was really rich yet not salty in taste; I quite enjoyed it. The chicken curry was also good; definitely Viet-influence or Viet version with the bowl of do chua. Overall, I think it's a nice restaurant, but obviously pricey for what I know Viet food to cost. However, they do have decent portions (I think the server said they operate with family style?).

The star of this plate was the sauce that came with it. It changes the flavor profile of the sea bass entirely. Personally, I did not like the sea bass alone. It tasted rather bland but the sauce rescued the plate. We also got the garlic noodles which were yummy but nothing crazy, we give them a 3.5/5. Not pictured was the cooked bokchoy because as soon as we tried the first piece we could not stop because it was so good!!! We lastly had the blueberry pecan tart which was.... Omg.... Amazing I wanted to order a second. I get very overwhelmed by sweetness but this plate was perfect. Creamy, freshly baked, big enough for one person or to modestly share between two people. It's topped with vanilla ice cream which was a huge plus! Would def go again though solely for the pecan tart.

This was my first time visiting Le Shrimp in Irvine, and I really hope these two new dishes never…read moreleave the menu. The service was attentive, the restaurant was spotless, and I really loved the open layout and all the natural light. It has a different feel than the Costa Mesa location, but in the best way. They both have their own vibe and I really enjoyed this one. The Garlic Butter Shrimp with Squid Ink Noodles was so good! The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the garlic butter sauce coated every bite of those rich, silky noodles. Don't let the squid ink scare you. They're packed with flavor and don't taste like squid lol. But my favorite had to be the Shrimp Paste Chicken Wings! The skin was unbelievably crispy, the chicken was super juicy, and the flavor reminded me of their Salt & Pepper Chicken Bowl, which is my favorite dishes there! If these are limited-time specials, do yourself a favor and order them while you can!

It was a hot day. But there was a smell that lingered in the air that I wasnt sure was a mixture of…read morebody odor and bad shrimp that was just not pleasant while we waited to order and also waited for our food. There was a lack of experience with the service. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to order at the counter, scan the QR code at the table, or order from the server (?) if that's what her duty was. I asked if I could use the offers that were available on the website together. The free kids meal and the bok choy appetizer. She said she has to ask her supervisor... Then she said he had to ask his boss... After we ordered our food she let us know she put in the free bok choy appetizer order along with the kids meal for us. Cool. Then time passed... I just wanted to eat and get out because the weird BO/bad shrimp smell was getting to me. First the dry noodle came out... And then I was waiting for my son's kids meal because it was the same thing as the full sized dry noodle bowl but they didn't seem to notice the kids meal didn't come out. A few minutes later they brought out my shrimp noodle soup.l and side broth I ordered. My son had nothing to eat so I gave him some of my noodles with the broth. I thought my shrimp noodle soup was going to be spicy . It was not. The vegan broth was more peppery than my shrimp broth, which I thought was too shrimpy... Both were very salty too. We asked about the kids meal and we were told it was coming out.we could see through the inside of the kitchen food being prepared and none was my son's meal. The supervisor came and told us they had some system update and they were working on the kids meal. Idk it wasnt even a good excuse. we were pretty much done with my noodle soup and still the kids meal wasn't brought out. I asked them to just put it in a take out box because we had to leave. There was no care in packing the food. We opened it later and the egg roll was soaked in the rice and pretty much mush. The spinach was just laid next to the noodles. They also didn't seem to care my son didn't have food. Other facilities usually take care of the kids first. I added a star because the noodles were decent. But the flavor, lack of service, and atmosphere was truly lacking.
