    Butter cake

Went here for a business dinner on a Thursday evening as a group of 7. We were promptly seated at our reservation time. Firstly, our servers and everyone that assisted her were all excellent - waters were refilled, multiple people brought our appetizers, entrees, sides, etc. Everyone did a fantastic job keeping track of us. Secondly, the food was all incredible. We definitely over-ordered for our party size (too many sides), but nothing went to waste and everything was cooked to perfection. The live music being played in the lobby was also beautiful renditions of current songs, something I found unique. Some negatives - the entire dinner took almost 3.5 hours, and we didn't receive our entrees until the 2 hour mark. We didn't order a ton of appetizers (some side salads and bread), so it seemed like a very long time to wait. A member of our party actually had to leave for the airport before receiving his entree, but our servers were kind enough to pack it up for him to go. It was also VERY dark inside the restaurant, to the point that it was difficult for members of our party to confirm their steaks had been cooked to the desired temperature. All that being said, the meal was still excellent and everything was delicious. We just didn't expect for it to take so long.

I was hesitant to try this Mastro's because I've always considered this restaurant as more of a destination dining experience. Decided to finally give this location a try and I was not disappointed. We decided to splurge and started off with the Dungeness Crab Cocktail and Wagyu Beef Roll. The Crab Cocktail was served with an amazing smoky presentation. Each piece of crab was so sweet and moist. The Wagyu Beef Roll was kind of a weird mix of flavors with aspaagus, jalapeno, and the sauce. For our entrees we ordered the 22oz Bone-in Ribeye with Peppercorn sauce and the Crispy Garlic Bigeye Tuna Sashimi. The Ribeye was cooked to a perfectly juicy Medium Rare and the Sashimi was packed with flavor. The sides we ordered were the Scalloped Potatoes and Creamed Corn. The Creamed Corn was some the best I've had, but our potatoes were undercooked and hard. Our server was quick to swap them out for the Garlic Mashed Potatoes, which were much better. Overall the food was top notch and the service was on point. I used to come here when it was Del Frisco's and I'm impressed with how they remodeled the interior to achieve more of a fine dining atmosphere.

And we are back! Sabrina kindly honored our request for Ben & Paul to assist at our dinner and they did not disappoint! Superb experience! The food is great but the service is what makes the experience unforgettable. Beautiful venue! Parking structure is hot and cold. A challenge to find parking at 6pm so allow some extra time. Looking forward to our next meal there. Definitely requesting Ben & Paul.

This place is easily my top steakhouse pick in Irvine. The aged ribeye is a must-order, especially paired with the gratin-style potatoes and their signature peppercorn sauce. If you're starting with appetizers, the lobster bisque is incredibly rich and flavorful, and their seafood--specifically the sushi, tuna tartare, and seared tuna--is consistently delicious. One pro tip: book a reservation early. Even the bar fills up fast, leaving no room for last-minute walk-ins. My only minor gripe? I wish the bar menu included a burger; sometimes a full steak is a bit much to tackle at the bar when you're making a spontaneous stop.

This new addition to Irvine, Is the perfect destination for fine dining. Any celebration any desire for delicious food birthdays are fantastic date night family gathering anniversaries you name it this restaurant has it all. It's very large in scale. Seasonal dishes The shaker style apple martini was smokin, so delicious! I really enjoyed the Norwegian, cold water, salmon with broccolini. If you do end up, ordering the beef tallow fries, buyer beware. #1 they are delicious #2 it is a freakishly large portion. (easily for four people.) Birthdays are super fun, The butter cake, unbelievably fresh and delicious with a child's size head scoop of French vanilla ice cream... Love this restaurant They have ballet for 15, or you can find structural parking.

I was debating between a quick Wetzel's Pretzels or waiting for Mastro's, and I'm so glad I waited!! From the moment I sat down, everything felt polished and upscale! The shrimp cocktail was outstanding!! The aroma, the perfectly seasoned shrimp, the bold cocktail sauce with just the right horseradish kick, and even the lemon wrapped in a mesh bag all felt elegant. I sat at the bar, which was stunning, and the bartender and staff were professional and attentive. Even bar seating felt like full fine dining! I enjoyed a glass of Gérard Bertrand Crémant de Limoux Brut 2023 and couldn't resist dessert!! The seasonal lemon blueberry butter cake was light, indulgent, and paired with incredibly creamy ice cream. The Key Lime Martini was refreshing, creamy, and perfectly balanced with a graham cracker rim! Classy, delicious, and worth the wait!! I'll definitely be back for the A5 Wagyu Beef Roll and a steak dinner!!!

Had way higher hopes for this location but sadly it didn't deliver. Maybe it was the bar seating and service that threw me off, but generally nothing impressive for spending over a $200 out the door for one person. Best item was the martini that Mastro's does perfectly. The sashimi plate tasted awful and probably made my stomach sick later that night. Never ordering that again. Same with the scalloped potatoes, something was off on the taste this time. Steak was good as expected. Service was just OK, slow for my liking sitting at the bar. Live music was good. Might just come back for a drink but not the food. Food wise I'd go to the Newport location or even better Ocean 48.

Welcome to the Irvine Spectrum Mastros! This new location is busy so recommend reservations by all means! We came on Christmas Day for drinks so we waited 30 minutes for bar seating to open up. Mastros is dimly lit and makes a great date night. The service at the bar was fantastic. The bar area is trendy, large and they had a pianist performing to add to the vibe. I am a huge fan of their martinis over dry ice. Absolutely delicious and pack a punch. Had several otherwise we came for a nightcap and added dessert. The chocolate layered cake was decadent, large, and absolutely delicious! Next time we will definitely make reservations for dinner.

With this location opening up at the spectrum, my husband, and I decided to make a reservation for dinner since we heard good things about Matros. Reservations were easy to make online. Although you may want to book a couple of weeks early if you plan to visit on a weekend night and want to sit in the main dining room. We arrived for our 6pm reservation and were promptly sat at one of the high tables in the bar area. Our server quickly introduced herself and water was brought to our table. We ordered the bread basket ($5), steel for bread but at least there was a good and generous selection. I also ordered a raspberry lemon drop, which was served tabled side. Pretty amazing and was yummy! When it was time to order food, I decided on the American Wagyu fillet, cooked, medium. My husband decided on the bone in ribeye, also cooked-rare, medium rare. When the steaks came out, they were perfectly cooked and seasoned well. Although I recommend ordering slightly below what you normally do because the plate that they are served on are extremely hot that you can continue to cook it on the plate itself! We ordered side creamed corn, definitely my favorite side dish. Overall, my husband and I were both happy with our meal and definitely plan to be back for dinner in the near future.

Wow, this place was Outstanding!!went here for a date night (Jan 24, 2026). The place is huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The patio is well heated so no worries about being cold. SERVICE: Impeccable! So attentive and helpful. Water always full, drinks kept coming and they made sure you are having a good time. Really impressive. FOOD: Everything was superb! We started with sushi and shrimp cocktail and it was Fab! Then our steaks and side were delicious!! We did not have room for dessert, so next time. This is a solid place for date night or whatever night. We are coming back for sure!!

I came here to celebrate my 6th anniversary and had a great experience for my first time. Our RSVP time was at 6 PM. We got there 10 minutes early, and got seated just briefly after checking in. I loved that because at other places, we usually have to wait at least 30 minutes before our reserved time.. Bread Service: 8/10 So much variety! Not sure what kind of breads was in the basket, but I loved their pretzel bread and their onion bread the most. I wish the butter was whipped and nicely piped or something for presentation instead of the sliced butter pieces. Clam Chowder: 6/10 I had to decline the crack of pepper because my daughter was gonna eat it. To me, it needed more veggies and more seasoning to enhance the flavor a bit. Hamachi with Ponzu & Kaffir Lime: 6.5/10 Fish was good. Love the idea of ponzu and kaffir lime, but I think it needed more acidity. I didn't taste the acidity from then ponzu. Maybe a yuzu ponzu would lighten the dish up. Chilean Sea Bass: 7/10 My server told me I had 3 options on how I'd like my chilean sea bass cooked. I picked the option where it was lightly coated in flour? Or panko and seasoned. I loved the crispy texture it gave the fish. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The fresh lemon squeezed on top made a whole difference. Halal Wagyu Steak: 10/10 One of the best steaks we had. It was so buttery and soft to cut through. Perfect sear on the outside. Butter cake: 10/10 First time having it, and it was amazing. Nice, warm, buttery cake with vanilla ice cream, strawberry drizzle, and fresh fruits. The fresh cream was a great with it too. Chocolate Cake : 8/10 Decadent and rich. Dream Berry drink: 8/10 Tasted like candy. Just how I like it Shoutout to our server Jason for the hospitality. Service: 10/10

I'm impressed. We wanted to try a little of everything so we asked if we could do it family style. They ended up bringing out hot plates for everyone and served each person at the table a serving of each item. It was truly a great experience in that regard. In terms of food, the sides and appetizers were to die for. Lobster Mac and cheese, bread, shrimp, scallops. WOW. Where they lacked was the main course. The steak was too salty, the outside was cooked and center was undercooked. Not in the rare steak kind of way but just a very unevenly cooked steak. (I love medium rare steaks, so having it rare isn't a problem for me). The fish's texture was fantastic but the seasoning was lacking. The dessert took a very long time to come out. I believe we waited upwards of 20 mins for 2 butter cakes to come out. It was already very late in the evening so I grew a little impatient to be honest. The butter cake itself was delicious and the fresh cream was delicious. Overall a good experience but there were factors that makes this a 4 star for me

Plenty of parking being that it is at the Spectrum. There is also a valet parking option. Reservations recommended but not required. Ok for kids. Ok for groups. I did see a private room. Menu Something for everyone. But the core is steak... but it is a steak house. Ambiance Is nice this location seems a little smaller than other Mastros in Orange County. Service Our server was great. But looking around the service did not seem to meet that of other locations. I understand they are still working to get some of the kinks out. overall, must try location.

This place is located inside a gorgeous shopping center in Irvine…read more It's located inside, Bacchus Bar and Bistro. Which, was extremely crowded. They have tons of parking in this shopping center. They share it with TONS of other places. One of my BFFs saw this on an Instagram video and wanted to check it out. *They do take reservations When we came in we checked in with one of the waitresses. She said she would seat us in a minute. To be honest, she did forget about us. A waiter walked up to us and asked us what was going on (we were standing there for around 7 - 10 minutes) and we told him we had a reservation for the speakeasy. He immediately apologized and sat us. This camp themed speakeasy has a couple booths. It's on the smaller sides. Which, speakeasy's are usually small to begin with. I did not get the waitresses name, my friend and I were busy catching up. The waitress was nice, but not attentive. I will say service was a 2/5. However, the actual restaurant, cozy pine is located in, was packed because of the World Cup being on TV. So I definitely was not going to complain The food Our food order did come out extremely FAST. Faster than our drink orders. -the campfire guacamole -BBQ shoestring fries (had bbq seasoning all over them so it tasted like a BBQ potato chip) -Glamping plate (charcuterie board) -steak tacos (one without onion and cilantro -churro affogato Again, the food was VERY fast!! And to be honest it wasn't that bad. I'll say, speakeasy's usually shine in the drink department vs food. Drinks -Lycheed and Loaded Ketel One, lychee liqueur, lemon, elderflower. This was extremely delicious! If you don't like to taste your alcohol? Go with this. It was really refreshing. Hand this to me at a spa and I'd be the happiest gal in the world -Camp Anawanna $17 Graham cracker-infused bourbon, licor 43, chocolate, torched marshmallow (the waitress catches the marshmallow on fire at the table) This one was stronger and I didn't think it was overly sweet despite the ingredients I think they had a good selection, especially for a small speakeasy. I have been to better, so I don't think I'd return. Especially since the service was not that great. We still had a good time and recommend for every speakeasy lovers list.

When you go thru the sliding doors it immediately transports you to a different time and place. Its very dark. Sleek. And modern. Yet simple. I love the big screen tvs with areal views of New York. It just made it feel like we were in a high rise building or a blimp with a birds eye view of many of New Yorks beautiful landmarks. The couches were extremely comfortable too. Great cushion. You just sink into them. Its a small area but great utilization of the space, making it seem large and spacious. The chairs too were really comfortable to sit in. We spent 3 hours in there and it flew by so quickly. The ambiance and feel here was just truly top notch. Our waitress was Brandy, or is it Brandi? She was super cool. She was a one person crew. Basically getting orders, making drinks, cleaning tables, and checking in on us. And she did it with great charisma, attitude and personality. Super knowledgeable about the menu. Made great drinks quickly. And was just super personable. Great job from her!! Her attitude and demeanor really matched the top tier aura they were going for here. They have a great selection of drinks. From more alcohol forward drinks to light and fruity drinks to refreshing drinks. I really did enjoy their drink selections. We had a total of about 6 drinks and they were all really good! We got there: 1. Fox's wedding- light, seeet and refreshing. I love the origami piece that Brandy put on it as well. Looked so beauitful. 2. Guava chiffon pancake- it was tropical, light but also had a coconut feel to it. It was really good. 3. The Monroe- this was light but tart, but not too tart. Silky with fruit forward notes. 4. Miso honey butter corn- rarely is a savory cocktail good. But this one was pretty good. The butter fat washed burbon was super intriguing. But it works well 5. When pigs fly- came with a paper airplane on top!! Haha. Love the playfulness. But the drink was so complex yet smooth. It was really good. For the bourbon drinkers, this one is for you! 6. Smoked Old Fashion- presentation is amazing. Comes in a big glass case that has cherry wood smoke inside. When you open it, you get that intense smell of burning cherry wood. Drink is smokey but in a very good way. Tasted amazing. A true classic done right. Their food menu is very encompassing and thorough as well. From full on burgers, to flat breads, to appetizers and small bites, to salads. They have a little of everything!! We ordered the following: 1. Pub nachos- this was an extremely large plate of loaded nachos. Super crunchy and fresh. I loved the generous amount of Chipotle chicken on top. The pepper jack queso sauce and jalapeño crema was a really good sauce. It just binded everything together. The beans and the fresh jalapeño just really all worked together. It was super good. Kept you grazing and munching away, but never becoming too full (more room for their drinks!!). 2. Figgy piggy flat bread- it was ok. Sweet caramel onions and fig jam, paired with some pungent cheeses. I thought it was pretty good. 3. Shrimp street tacos- 1 order comes with 2 tacos. They were good sizes. I love their tacos. So flaverful. Everything works together. Just tasted amazing!! Overall everything about this place is 5 stars. The ambiance, the decor, the exclusivity. The service. The drinks and the food. As i said 3 hours went by so fast!! Definitely a must try when in the area. And when you stay at the Marriott, its just a simple walk back to your room. And we left feeling happy and amazing. It was a very thoughtful touch! We started by ordering a Summer Barrel Aged Cocktail to drink. It reminded me of an Old Fashioned. It was good! I personally tend to like sweeter drinks a bit more, but I was in the mood for something different from my usual and this sounded like an interesting flavor combination, so I was happy with my choice. Next we ordered short rib croquettes as a starter, and the seafood risotto and the branzino as the mains. The food didn't take very long to come out. The short rib croquettes were amazing! It definitely left you wanting more. I honestly would have ordered that as a main, it was that good. The seafood risotto was so rich and flavorful. It had a creamy, buttery texture with a mild seafood flavor but not overpowering. It was a beautiful saffron color too. The branzino was also excellent. In short, we loved all the food and we left feeling very full with even a bit of food leftover. We skipped dessert since we were just too full. Overall, everything about this place was great - good service, great food, and a nice ambiance. The parking situation is also super easy since there's a large garage right next to it and they validate. It seems to be in a business park so the garage was pretty empty by 6pm on a Friday.

Slow service and I am came with a reservation to brunch and they were out of the on item I came…read morefor. They also have no coffee menu... if you like to drink alcohol for brunch, I guess this is an okay spot. Ended up with hot water and lemon and left
