Love this Asian fusion place, they have outside sitting which is great because the place was packed. Food is very flavorful, my fave is the pork belly, servers constantly checks if we need anything. 5
INCREDIBLE Khao Soi and Souffle Pancake! Came here after nightshift work, and was feeling crazy enough to have some dinner for breakfast (but also kind of dinner???) Got the regular chicken with Khao Soi and a Souffle pancake for the table. The broth flavors are simply amazing, the noodles, tenderness of the chicken, everything is great. The decor is super cute, great for girls brunch or a date night as well. Amazing service! Can't wait to come back already.
Came here for our family's brunch. First time here and I wanted a good breakfast.....jokes on me. We were seated pretty quick for having a large party. They have a couple of TV's inside that were showing the World Cup. Looked over the menu and I decided on the meat lovers omelette. The food came out in waves.....mine came out first. I was gonna wait til everyone got their food, it was clear the second wave gonna be awhile. About 20 mins later the second wave of dishes came out - but we were still missing 3 others. The pancakes, chicken and waffles and the soft shell crab noodle thing. It was about another 12 mins before those came out. By the time the third wave came out, I was already done with eating. Now for my "meat lovers omelette" : 1/5 it was just a bunch of ham thrown into an omelette. No other meat was in there that I can tell. The salad was kinda odd to have as part of a breakfast dish. The French toast was dry and there was no syrup or anything for it. The best part of the dish was the breakfast potato's. That omelette was REALLY disappointing. My nephews chicken and waffles was the last dish to be served - the chicken was over cooked and dry. The waffle was like a cardboard. The 2 noodle dishes that were ordered were the best dishes at our table. Definately skip the American brunch dishes and order something Thai from the menu. The long waits for the food to come out and the poor execution of the dishes - I would not come back.
Excellent Thai fusion place! I can't believe it took me this long to try it. The famous.Khao soi is as good as recommended, though it is a little bit on the pricey side. The basil chicken omelette was good, but we probably would have enjoyed it separately instead of as a fusion dish. It's a casual café setting with a 15 to 30 minute wait.
Kinaree is an interesting Thai brunch concept in the Quail Hill shopping center, located near Bacchus and Hanshin Pocha. It was really busy when we arrived, but luckily my boyfriend and I were able to be seated without much of a wait. It did take them a bit to take our order but at least we got to wait inside and comfortably seated. The restaurant was a little cramped but they are really trying to use up that square footage. They even have diners seating outdoors to maximize business. There was one TV in the corner that was playing one of the world cup games that morning. When they finally came to take our order, we decided to share the Shrimp Donut ($19). My entrees, my boyfriend decided on the Meat Lovers Omelette ($22) and I had the Kinaree Chicken Waffle ($25). I also ordered their Thai Iced Tea ($6). The shrimp donut came out after our entrees even though it's a started. It just tastes like fish paste they shaped and deep fried. The one on their menu was so pretty but the ones that came out to us were more like lumps than donut shaped. The taste was so-so. I wouldn't order this again. My boyfriend's meat lovers omelette was the best dish at our table from a portion and taste perspective. It had bacon, pork sausage, ham, sharp cheddar cheese, spinach and onion in the omelette. And each omelette is served with half a slice of French toast, breakfast potatoes, and salad. Very well rounded meal. Highly recommended. I don't like the French toast, could have been better soaked but the rest of the components on this plate was really strong and tasty. My Kinaree chicken waffle was less exciting. The fried chicken was really dried. Instead of one large chicken piece like other places who do this dish, they use scrap dries parts of the chicken and the batter is tough and hard. I was picking off the edges and trying to eat the edible parts. The waffle was like any old waffle. The two items tasted like two different dishes and it even came with 2 sauces. One for the waffle and one for the chicken. I ate about half of this, not because I was full, but because I didn't want to eat any more of it. We had to waive down staff for the check. They offered us boxes and I was like no thanks. This was a really expensive meal for me to leave so unsatisfied. You're paying for the cute decor, but when I go to brunch I want to eat tasty food too.
Upon arriving for brunch around 11am on Sunday, there was a short 15min wait for table of 4. There were so many options for brunch and lunch Thai inspired dishes. It was tough to pick just a select few at the table! There were standard breakfast options with a twist, I ended up getting the rib-eye benedict, but subbed out English muffin for French toast! The rib eye was sliced and seemed very similar to the crying tiger dish that was also ordered at the table. Steak was seasoned well and tender to bite. The plate had a lot of food, including a basket of breakfast potatoes and side salad. I enjoyed the side salad adding a freshness to the dish! Most of the menu is on the pricier side, but well worth the what you're ordering with the portions! We also ordered the shrimp donut for the table, which highly resembles the fried shrimp balls at dimsum. There was an interesting sweet sauce that came with this, but could have used some freshness. I was also too full from my dish to eat much of this heavier dish! Service was prompt, as there were several workers around the small restaurant. However, the dishes for our table each came out one by one, seemingly the fried dishes were significantly slower. The last dish to come out - fried chicken benedict - was missing the poached eggs on top! A server quickly brought out some eggs+sauce upon notifying. I would come back to try other dishes, but it appears the restaurant is getting quite busy & I hope they can keep up with the rush and stay efficient.
We came here since it says they have an outdoor seating and when we came they said they won't serve outdoor and we can just order for to go, just because they don't want to serve outside. Since we are already there and we have our dog with us, we opted for the to go order. We ordered the Thai Noodle crab meat, Khao soi pork belly and kinaree fried rice total was $85 which is expensive for 3 orders, and the taste is very average nothing impressive. The service is very disappointing too, it makes you feel like they don't really want to accomodate you and we came around 2:30pm so it's not busy. I've read a couple of reviews about their poor service and I must say, it's true. For me, even if the food is just average but the service is exceptional I would definitely comeback but for this place, the food is just average and the service is bad as well so I am not coming back- there are a lot of other restaurants that are more affordable and they have a great service.
I was really excited to try this spot -- I love fusion restaurants and the idea of a Thai‑inspired brunch sounded so fun. Unfortunately, the dishes didn't deliver on the fusion concept. I ordered the fried chicken and waffle, and it honestly tasted pretty standard. I didn't get any Thai flavors at all -- just regular fried chicken with a side of sweet chili sauce. The mama noodle dish was the biggest letdown: dry, lacking flavor, and definitely not an elevated take on instant noodles. The pork belly was okay, but it didn't have that crispy, crunchy bite you'd expect. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and welcoming. But overall, the food felt overpriced for what it was. In my opinion, it's a cute concept that doesn't follow through. I wouldn't recommend it.
This has been on my list to try! We visited on a Sunday and the wait was quite long. We waited for about an hour. We saw that there was a party of 20 so I'm guessing that's why the wait was very long. The inside is not super big, but very cute and aesthetic. We wanted to family style our meal. The Khao Soi was so good. I'm obsessed with it. Very flavorful and deep. I love the crunch of the noodles, in addition to the noodles already in the soup. Chicken Waffle was also pretty good. Not dry! Holy Chili Bomb Basil Omelette was really good. I was surprised. I usually don't order omelette as but would definitely order this again. The basil was delicious and there was an Asian fusion to it. The soufflé pancakes were good too. They were soft and loved the cream and jam to go with it. Matcha was okay. I didn't taste the coconut as much as I would like. We had asked multiple times to get small bowls so that we could split the meal but they didn't get it to us until half way through our meal. We were too hungry to wait. This is why the 4 stars! Overall, very yummy meal but took long time to get seated and service not as attentive because they were so busy.
This is a fairly new restaurant. The cuisine is Northern Thailand's and the Khai So is the best I've tasted since my visit to Chiang Mai. We were here at breakfast time and they also have classic dishes like avocado toast with bacon bits, chicken waffle. We also ordered the crispy soft shell crab. All were tasty and authentic. The portions are large. The service is beyond excellent with the nicest staff! There's indoor and outdoor dining. We will be back for some more lunch time items.
All delicious!!! But my favorite was the omelette. It was sooo savory and good. The hainan chicken was good, but I feel like it could have been better, I'm not sure if I just haven't had authentic hainan chicken, but I thought the chicken here was alright. The Kinaree noodles were also good, but I honestly didn't like how it was sweet. Would def come back for the omelette here though!
This place is INSANE !! In the best way (: The menu is so big and everything looks so good my only complaint is that I had a hard time choosing what to get cause I wanted everything ! The Presentation of all the food and drinks were great ! This is like a instagram foodie pages dream spot ! And the inside of this place was decorated so cute it's perfect for a cute date or brunch with your family and friends. The chicken and waffle was amazing and so was the tom yum soup! We ordered drinks, The Benedict and so many other things and everything was great. I'm planning a couple trips back soon cause I have a list of things I need to try D;
Love the asian fusion flavors here. I couldnt decide on whether to pick from the breakfast menu, or their all-day specialties. Glad they have a menu just for photos, they all looked good but i ended up picking the crispy chicken benedict. Luckily i went with a large party so I was able to try a little of everything. Their crispy fish was huuge, and their khoa soi with soft shell crab was so good. I also enjoyed trying their tom yum noodle soup!
Brunch and Thai options, this place is great! I tried the holy basil chicken omelette and it was huge. It must have came with 4 eggs and about one pound of ground chicken. A nice side salad and half a French toast round off the plate. I was so hungry I ate it all! We also tried the crying tiger and it was medium well and also very tasty. They have outdoor and indoor space and we bought out kitty for a nice outdoor seating experience. So fun. I would definitely come back and try more. Plenty of parking, which is always a plus. Be prepared for a long wait and make sure you stay nearby because you have to be close enough to hear when your name is called. No Yelp waitlist. Considering how busy they are, the staff are friendly, but it can be difficult to get someone's attention when you need something. The portions are a good size and while the food was okay, there wasn't anything particularly memorable. Overall, I am not sure if the food is worth the wait. 3.5/5 read more
Kinaree eatery is fast, delicious with incredible portions and very exciting decor depending on where you sit. Looking over the menu and trying to decide what to order while having only one empty stomach per body.. it almost seems unfair. Even the drink menu was incredibly hard to land on just one drink. This is a well done Asian American fusion eatery, regardless of your lifestyle or diet. The location is prime, so many other delicious looking restaurants all around even if you don't make it in somehow. If you're a cake person, definitely definitely don't short yourself and try their very fluffy, super jiggly soufflé pancake. It's not quite a flapjack and not yet a cake but the makings of everything you'd want in a breakfast dessert with cream that melts even the coldest hearts. The strawberry compote, made with real strawberries, was so yummy and colorful! Everything here was bright and colorful including the coconut yuzu drink. The curry came highly recommended and it not only did not disappoint, instead succeeded what I had in mind. Also- if you are a fried chicken and waffle fan, this is a must try. I was both full and envious of the table in my view of vision who got theirs after having stuffed my face full of amazing eats. Service was great and the staff, as well as the customers, all looked like Irvine's finest, brightest and uncontentious attitudes. Price point is on par with everything else around but you get your money's worth, possibly with leftovers, though not for us. We expected a crowd since it was a weekend afternoon, but luckily we only waited about ~20-30 minutes or so. Their menu seems extensive with many American and Thai dishes to choose from. I ended up getting the creme brulee souffle pancakes and my husband got the crispy belly & belly rice dish. Crispy belly & belly rice: The meat could have been a little crispier, it was chewy in some parts. The rice was on the drier side. The vegetables that came on the side were bland. The seasoning on both the meat/rice was quite good, however. Creme brulee souffle pancakes: Ooof. These definitely weren't worth the wait, lol. The actual pancake itself was really good, soft and fluffy with a delicious eggy taste. The creme brulee part.... was literally just liquid. The creme was there but the blulee definitely was not. Our experience was fine, but we weren't impressed by the food. The interior was super cute though and I loved their hanging flowers and lights. The servers were nice, but I think still new/inexperienced. Glad we came to try it, but not sure if we would come back. read more
Came here for lunch with friends. Overall there are many items to choose from the menu. It can get busy on weekend so definitely plan ahead Good food quality overall. I enjoyed most of the dishes. Specially the fried fish with curry as well as the crying tiger. Super delicious and just impeccable flavor. Crying tiger was very nicely seared Serving was average. Came with a group of my girlfriends to celebrate a birthday. We tried a large variety of dishes with some hits and misses. Definitely a hit for me was the crispy fish and apple salad, which had a spicy kick to it. The pork jowl and the crying tiger were both super tender and flavorful. Highly recommend any of these three dishes!! The fried chicken and curry were misses for me. The braised beef was dry and the fried chicken was a bit overcooked as well. As for drinks, the pandan matcha was great! read more
Kinaree is absolutely wonderful. I ordered their rice and pork belly, and it was so flavorful and absolutely delicious -- just one bite sent me to heaven. My husband ordered the salmon Benedict and was very happy with it too. Although it came out late (it didn't arrive until I was almost done with my dish), the staff was very apologetic. Besides that mishap, the staff was attentive and friendly. I love their cute interior as well as their dog-friendly outdoor seating. This place is a gem, and I will definitely go back. read more

We had a very disappointing brunch experience at Kinaree today. The restaurant was busy around 11 a.m., but the service, food quality, and cleanliness were still unacceptable. We were a party of three and ordered the California omelette, garden omelette, and farmer's plate. After a long wait, a waitress delivered our food to another table, realized the mistake, picked the plates back up, and brought them directly to us. Even then, only two of our three meals arrived. The California omelette did not come out until about 15 minutes later. While we were eating, my sister found a long hair in her sunny-side-up eggs, and the silverware placed on her plate was visibly dirty. The farmer's plate was taken back, but the replacement took another 15 to 20 minutes. No clean utensils were provided with it. We asked a waiter for a fork, but he continued bussing and seating other tables while ignoring us. We also noticed that he did not appear to wash his hands after bussing tables. We eventually had to ask another waitress for silverware. Unfortunately, the food was not worth the wait. Both omelettes were runny and watery. The spinach tasted like frozen spinach that had simply been mixed in, and the avocado was far from being fresh. It was warm, tasted off, and appeared to have been scooped from a container. The side salads had an unpleasant, stale taste. The only item we found edible was the potatoes. My mom also felt sick and had an upset stomach after the meal. We all only ate a little of it and then decided to stop. Between the hair in the food, dirty silverware, mishandled plates, poor service, and flavorless food, we were extremely uncomfortable with the overall hygiene and quality. The bill was around $70, which felt like a complete rip-off for such a poor experience. We had heard good things about this restaurant, but unfortunately, nothing about our visit was memorable except how far below expectations it was. read more
Amazing brunch! My bf and I arrived around 12pm. We waited a bit but were seated shortly. The place is small but very busy. It didn't take long for us to order and have our food ready. I ordered the smoked salmon toast and my bf ordered the Hat Yai fried chicken. They were so good! They were a bit pricey though. Came here to have lunch with friends. Decided this location because it seems cute and the menu selections seems unique and avante guard with some Thai typical dishes. The staff is friendly and food comes out quick. We ordered their cocktails which are really yummy . The songkrang and the cucumber cocktail. For appetizers we shared the fried crab rolls and the shrimp donuts. Both are crisp, flavorful and fun to eat! For our mains we ordered the Thai bomb omelette, the fried fish egg Benedict and the northern Thai sausage plate with sticky rice. Food came out well decorated for the eyes and smells devine. I had a coconut espresso to go and it really hit the spot. I will come back to try other dishes such a their Khow soi noodles. read more
Welcome to Irvine! This place is the whole package. Easy parking, super friendly staff, and bright, casual space. The food...well, come hungry and try as many things as you can. I came here a couple times and these are the only pics I could get because we dove right in! So far my favorite is the crab fried rice. The flavor combination just hits you. I have no idea what the green sauce was but it was a perfect condiment for this dish. I kind of love fried chicken and have been told that I eat too much of it. The restaurant has a modern, welcoming interior with a comfortable atmosphere, and the staff was attentive and friendly throughout the meal. Service was efficient, and everything arrived at a good pace. Unfortunately, the food was a bit inconsistent. Most dishes leaned either too sweet or too salty, making it hard for the flavors to feel balanced. The meat was decent--tender enough but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, it's a perfectly fine spot if you're already in the area and craving Thai food, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. read more
I came here for brunch on Easter Sunday. We waited less than 15mins to get seated even though it seemed busy. We all ordered brunch foods, even though the menu also has a good variety of Thai dishes as well. We also got an order of the soufflé pancakes to share, which was the highlight of the meal for me. The pancakes were light and fluffy, and were topped with whipped cream and a delicious strawberry sauce. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict for my main, which came with potatoes and salad. The flavors were good and I liked the variety of ingredients used in the dishes! Everyone else at my table also said they enjoyed their meal. It was a bit hard to get attention from the waiters, as it seems they are a bit understaffed and it was quite busy. Our table was missing condiments, and we couldn't get the waiters attention to bring us some, so we ended up just borrowing them from an empty table. Not ideal, but we didn't want to bother them too much. I enjoyed the food here a lot, so hopefully I'll have the chance to come back and try some different dishes in the future! read more

My sister chose Kinaree for her birthday brunch, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We had a party of seven. My daughter and I arrived a little later than everyone else, so the other five were seated first, which was understandable. However, things went downhill after that. Once we were seated, we didn't receive water until about 45 minutes later. To make matters worse, the soup bowls we were given were dirty. The servers were friendly and courteous, which I appreciated, but the service overall was very slow. The food was just okay--it was much sweeter than expected, and nothing really stood out. I'm not sure if they were understaffed that day, but the overall experience wasn't enjoyable. Sadly, we won't be returning. read more

I wanted to try something new for lunch and decided to give this restaurant a try as it has been on my bucket list for some time. This is a very unique Thai fusion restaurant and a few friends have recommended going there. I placed an online order and ordered the holy chili bomb basil omelette, which is essentially pad ka prao filling in the omelette. I am not big on omelettes, but I do love pad ka prao. The pad ka prao was a bit on the sweeter side. I like my pad ka prao more savory than sweet, but the flavor was good. I like that it is paired with some roasted potatoes. I am not too fond of the bread, which is like a French toast texture minus the sweet maple syrup and cinnamon. I wish I was served with a Thai chili fish sauce for the omelette. My order was ready within the time it promised me. It was packed with utensils and napkins when I went to pick it up. From what I saw while waiting, the restaurant is small but cute. I appreciate the Thai-inspired artwork on the walls. read more
This is my second time coming here now, and I love the food! The first time I had the khao soi and the second we got the crispy chicken curry and the chili omelette. I haven't been disappointed with anything yet. The khao soi was flavorful; the crispy chicken curry was indeed crispy and yummy; the omelette had meat that was similar to pad kra pao, which I love. The service has been pretty standard, but I also see there's usually only one server for the whole restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is so cute, with a flower theme decorated everywhere and a beautiful mural on the wall. I love how close Kinaree is to me, and I will definitely be back! read more
Kinaree is a new spot that's Thai AND American brunch fusion. Their menu is EXTENSIVE and there's basically something for everyone here. I tried Thai-style super crispy fried chicken, braised beef khao soi, curry with soft shell crab, and jumbo crab pad Thai. I'm not kidding...this meal is still living in my head rent-free, and everything was just absolutely picture-perfect. The crunch on the gigantic garlic prawns was actually insane, and reminded me so much of the super crispy shell-on prawns from Lotus of Siam in Vegas (iykyk). For the more classic breakfast-y items, they have jiggly souffle pancakes, steak & eggs, and even battered fish eggs benedict that you have to try It's such a fantastic spot and the interior is just so cute. Love this Thai fusion restaurant! We ordered the hainan chicken and the soft shell crab curry and they were amazing! We also got the pandan coconut drink which I'm OBSESSED with and the orange espresso drink! We'd definitely come back! They also serve menu items all day even during breakfast. I met a friend here for a lunch meeting, and while waiting for her, I decided to order the crab fried rice. The portion was generous and came with a green sauce that paired perfectly with the rice. The lump crab meat was sweet, fresh, and absolutely delicious. It's easily enough for 2-3 servings, and I highly recommend this dish. Second time here. It wasn't that busy but I guess it takes more than 15 minutes to get soufflé pancakes at 9:30am when other people are ordering rice and noodle dishes. I was about to leave at 35 minutes when finally my pancakes showed up. I had an appointment so I couldn't really enjoy my food. Had to take the rest to go. The matcha drink was good but next time I might ask for light ice since the entire cup was filled with ice to the rim. read more
This place definitely feels like one of the more pricier Thai options in the area, but it's a pretty solid choice in quality. The kitchen seems small and they didn't have a lot of staff on hand when we went, so expect possible slower service than other places. Everyone was friendly though. We went for brunch and ordered: - pandan sweet tea: the pandan was way too subtle and light... Wouldn't recommend this - creme brulee french toast: this was okay. The creme brulee flavor didn't really mesh well with the toast for us. Maybe it would have tasted better if the edges of the toast were crispy - crispy belly & belly rice: this was pretty good but a bit expensive - soft shell crab: the texture of the crab was perfectly crunchy. It comes with a lot of sauce which was a bit on the salty side though The look of the restaurant is very bright and fun with all the flower decorations, but they were playing club music in the background which is quite a choice with the two conflicting vibes... First time here and it was a mixed experience. The Make It Rice with Jumbo Crab Meat had good flavor, but the crab was minimal and mostly on top. The Crispy Belly wasn't very crispy and was more chewy than expected. The soufflé pancake was the highlight -- fresh, fluffy, and worth the wait, and we appreciated the heads-up about the busy Sunday brunch. The ambiance is beautiful with a flower wall and spring-inspired decor. I'd come back to try other dishes since there are plenty of options on the menu. read more

Finally was able to stop by to try breakfast here with a friend. It was empty on a Wednesday morning and much easier than trying to get a seat on the weekend. Cute spot- decor was a little busy. Service was OK. When we asked for recommendations, all she said was everything is great and look at the pictures. Also disappointed that they didn't have lattes and only black coffee. Food was great. We shared a Thai basil omelette and a sweet option, which was the French toast crème brûlée. I would absolutely recommend the Thai basil omelette. It's something I can literally eat every single day. It felt so flavorful and filling. The French toast was a little overwhelming and had too much sauce. Overall was excellent. I would probably come back for more of the Thai food than the breakfast food. read more
