This was my first time visiting Le Shrimp in Irvine, and I really hope these two new dishes never leave the menu. The service was attentive, the restaurant was spotless, and I really loved the open layout and all the natural light. It has a different feel than the Costa Mesa location, but in the best way. They both have their own vibe and I really enjoyed this one. The Garlic Butter Shrimp with Squid Ink Noodles was so good! The shrimp were perfectly cooked, and the garlic butter sauce coated every bite of those rich, silky noodles. Don't let the squid ink scare you. They're packed with flavor and don't taste like squid lol. But my favorite had to be the Shrimp Paste Chicken Wings! The skin was unbelievably crispy, the chicken was super juicy, and the flavor reminded me of their Salt & Pepper Chicken Bowl, which is my favorite dishes there! The food is very good, but the service on Saturday nights is inconsistent. We've eaten at Le Shrimp Noodle Bar in Irvine Spectrum semi-regularly, usually on Saturday nights. This visit, though not busy, service went downhill: my wife's laksa order was mixed up twice -- two wrong dry noodle bowls were brought to her before staff even got the correct dish going. When I asked for a manager, I was told there wasn't one on-site (on a Saturday night). To their credit, a server named Isaac stepped in, sorted it out with the kitchen, and comped the laksa with genuine apologies. This wasn't an isolated issue -- a few months back we had a similarly long wait, blamed that time on training a new cook during a busy shift. I came here today (Tuesday 7/28/26) w/my child. I came bc this place was listed under the Kids Eat Free for the Summer on the Retail Therapy App. I asked about their kids meal. It comes with dry noodles with chicken, spinach and 1 vegetable egg roll cut in half. It comes with a cute kids plastic to-go cup filled with ice water. My kid absolutely loved it! He ate 1/2 his meal. I ordered the Limited Special Item, Garlic Butter Shrimp with Squid Ink. OMFG it was amazing. It was dry but very well marinated shrimp and noodles. I shared some with my child, and he loved it. It was our first time ever trying their food here. The Shrimp Paste Chicken Wings, were absolutely yummy too! Everything was well cooked, well seasoned. Customer Service was amazing. Staff were all nice and just great vibes. I had made a spill and staff came asap to wipe it up with a smile on their face. First time trying this location inside Spectrum in OC. No surprise here because Le Shrimp has been my #1 noodle place when I am craving for a bowl. Their soup is full of flavor and noodles are soft and the right chewy consistency. I always order the same old, trio -shrimp noodles soup. Dined here a few days ago for dinner at Irvine Spectrum. They have a sign out front that says "please wait to be seated" by an exterior podium, but the staff inside aren't always watching the podium outside. Order thru the staff or QR code they provide for your table. I recommend getting the wide/thick noodles as the broth clings to the noodles better. We ordered the A1 "Signature Trio Shrimp Noodle" combo with Braised Beancurd/Tofu; and the A2 "Spicy Prawn and Braised Scallion Soy Chicken Noodle" -- the A2's broth was slightly better and comes with a chili oil that I put into my A1. Le Shrimp Noodle Bar was participating in OC Restaurant Week & I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try it out! Our group ordered the big prawn noodle and the crispy cod dry noodle, along with 3 different side options (spinach, bok choy, and fries). The noodles include an option for wide or thin noodle, based on your preference, and the dry noodles have a spicy or non-spicy option. Be warned, I would only come here if you really like shrimp. The 48hr noodle broth that they're known for is quite shrimpy, seemly giving a taste made from the shrimp head guts. If not a huge fan of the shrimp head parts, I would opt for the dry noodles. I got the spicy, which is more of a chili oil noodle. It was seasoned well though could be a bit salty if eating with the fried cod. The cod itself was nice and flaky, though I wish there was less breading and larger fish pieces. I would have loved a side of some soup with the dry noodle. Came on a busy Saturday and all the servers were busy cleaning tables, serving food, etc. It took some time to get sat down for a table. Appreciate that the shop has a plenty of seats. The food came pretty quick and portion is good. Not too little and not too much! Chicken is tender, but I'm a fan of dark meat. Ian was super nice. Went above and beyond for our experience Off their taste of Singapore menu. I really enjoyed their hainam chicken. Rice was flavored so well. Chicken cooked perfectly. All the sauces spot on. What a great dish I got their A1 signature trio soup on thin noodles. I do wish the noodles a bit more Aldente but overall a great soup. Our first time to Le Shrimp Noodle Bar and we are fans! We've passed by the location at South Coast but have never stopped to try. We came by tonight with grandparents, parents and kids all approve! 5/5 stars across 3 generations and especially hard to impress my MIL but she was a fan of the new Singaporean special menu item - Hainan Chicken Rice! Was going to order the trio shrimp noodles but the server talked me into ordering the Singapore Laksa noodles instead. He said it's pretty good here so I thought I'd give it a try. The noodles were a bit too overdone for me. I like my noodles el dente instead. Also, the broth was a bit too salty. I love laksa and ate a lot of it, with either noodles or rice, when I was in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur so I can tell the difference. I'm a frequent visitor to Le Shrimp Noodle Bar in Costa Mesa since my office is right across the street and their lunch deals are hard to beat. We recently stopped by during shopping after seeing they were launching laksa and chicken rice, two true Singaporean specialties. The laksa isn't your typical version, and I mean that in the best way. Instead of an overwhelming coconut cream base, it leans more toward a deeply umami shrimp-forward broth, which I personally prefer. The chicken rice was excellent. Well now they opened in Irvine spectrum, and they have outdoor seating and are open to the outside, so it feels a bit safer and we can enjoy! A very good spot for noodles at Irvine Spectrum. It's located right next to one of the parking structures and there is also a lot right outside of it. However, it can still get very crowded depending on when you go. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating available. 6/11/25 - I ordered the A1 which is their Signature Trio Shrimp Noodle. I got it with the wide noodles. I upgraded to a combo for about $5 more which got me a side and a drink on top of the original meal. I got their braised beancurd and an iced oolong tea. The braised beancurd is around $4 on its own and the iced oolong tea is about $3. The beancurd was good but it didn't impress me enough to the point where I would get it again on my future visits. The drink wasn't a house special, but rather just a canned drink with a cup of ice to pour into. I also didn't realize that the drink was just tea as opposed to milk tea. Next time, I think I will just get the soup on its own without upgrading. It is a good deal if you're looking to get an appetizer and a non-water drink. The broth of the noodles had a strong shrimp flavor which was really good. The noodles tasted good as well. The customer service was great. The servers were really attentive and would check on me often. With the whole meal coming out to about $20, I understand that the price is realistic for a bowl of soup in today's time. Different types of noodles and soups used to cost ~$15, so it's good to recognize that things are just getting more expensive with time. Overall, this place was good and I would go again.
