Finally getting around to this review! We took my husband here for his birthday in May, and it was our first time trying a Brazilian steakhouse. We had such a good experience! We went with the premium option so we could try all the different meats being brought around. It was fun getting to taste a little bit of everything, and the full-service Market Table had a really good selection too. Definitely come hungry! The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a really nice ambiance, but what stood out to me was how kid-friendly they were. We brought our little one with us, and the staff were just as attentive to him as they were to us. He enjoyed getting to eat and try different things too, which made the experience even better for us. Most importantly, my husband had a great birthday dinner. Great food, attentive service, and a nice experience for the whole family. We'd definitely come back!

Tomahawk. It continues cooking on the hot salt block.

Unexpectedly disappointing for our first visit. First off, the food was phenomenal. Salad bar was fully stocked with a variety of fruits, veggie dishes, salads, and charcuterie selections. Cheese bread is to die for. The sweet plantains were delicious. The decadent chocolate cake was the perfect ending to the meal. That being said, the service can be better. Though we were seated promptly for our reservation, we had two different servers tend to us. This may have been the source of all confusion. We specifically came to Fogo de Chão to celebrate my mom's birthday and to get the Tomahawk steak. We ordered it to share and added the market salad bar for each person. After one round at the salad bar and few pieces of cheese bread, we were ready for the steak. When our server finally brought it out, it was a Wagyu, not a Tomahawk. After informing him of our correct order, the server apologized and said that it would be another 10- to 15-minute wait. We didn't mind at first, but the wait felt longer. Maybe due to our hungry tummies and not wanting to fill up on the salad bar. The Tomahawk finally came and it was carved at table side. It appeared very rare when we had asked for medium rare. The server explained that it will continue to cook on the hot salt block. So we let it sit. We took the steak off early to avoid making it salty, but it was too early. We constantly had to put our pieces back onto the salt block to cook to our desired doneness. This was disappointing because we expected already done steak to come to our table. Because we were celebrating a birthday, we were told that dessert would be complimentary. We ordered the Chocolate Brigadiero. It came out with no candle and no "Happy Birthday" writing on the plate. After the mediocre experience, we didn't bother to ask the server to add it. Lastly, when the check came out, we were charged for the mistaken Wagyu! Luckily our server fixed it without issue, but it shouldn't have been on the receipt at all. As mentioned, the food was outstanding, but it could not outshine the repeated issues.

Omg we had a blast at Fogo this evening for happy hour!! We came to celebrate my girls bday! We had so much food. I had the gold rush and the hibiscus. We shared the empanadas, lobster and shrimp tacos, filet mignon board, spinach dip, lobster Mac and cheese, charcuterie board and beef sliders. For dessert we had the cheesecake brûlée and chocolate cake ganache. The server was Mya who was amazing. She was attentive and apologized several times as our food was late. Everyone enjoyed their drinks and the food. The ambiance is always nice. It's a great place for date night, night with the girls or friends. As always, I will be back.

Chloe was so amazing. She made our table feel so cared for and the team got every dish out quickly. She was so helpful in explaining the menu and problem solving. Thank you!

We come here regularly for happy hour, and the food is always delicious. Today, I went with the Picancha bugger which both delicious and filling. Also had the the Saucy Legs. If you like a bit of spice you love these! They are not too hot. For cocktails they are always fantastic. One thing to be be careful of is to stick to the happy hour menu for pricing. One time Iis ordered a house old-fashioned happy hour, but it was a full price. Bar service is excellent. The food service was off a bit. For example, ordered extra catchup and chimichurri sauce but they never made it to the table. But I come back yes continue to come back. Food and drink s just too good!

This is our second time we've been here but this time its getting worst. The service is really bad that we did not even enjoy the all you can eat experience. There are few people roaming around to give you the meat. They are not even aware that they have never been in our table and they have been in the same other table for 3x now and there is like a good 20-30minutes that no one even came to us. Even though we told the other server that we haven't been serve for a while they just told us that they are rotating and they will come soon on our table. Its such a disappointing experience since we celebrated the birthday of our friend. So, it is not really worth the pay of all you can eat since you cannot even try all the meat hope they improve it for the better. Will not come here again maybe.

Indulgent Churrasco Experience--Celebrating my girlfriend's birthday Shout out to Erica for being such an amazing hostess! We will come back again for another date night and left FULL, satisfied, and BLOATED with all the fresh appetizers from the Table Bar, the menu, and AMAZING dessert. 12/10 HIGHLY recommend. Amazing Ambiance, FAST service, and friendly staff.

Upon arrival to the Sacramento, Roseville location; entering into the restaurant was a complete vibe. Gorgeous environment. Very welcoming with staff greeting and saying hello. Once seated, our server Armando explained in detail how the food experience worked. Food was delicious. Armando, made serval great suggestions. The best suggestion was the dessert! The cheese cake was outstanding! Also, have to mention how amazingly cool hair Armando had! He made sure we were well taken care of. The ambiance was very nice. Great cultural music played in the background. Round chandeliers and a beautiful dark navy blue and black decor, with gold accents; very fitting. I give the experience five stars!

    What's the dress code like?

None , No dress code. But don't go in looking like homeless 😭

Does Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse in Roseville have a family style or gender neutral bathroom?

Not that I saw. I used the ladies room and saw a men's room. Telerific has a combined bathroom.

Is bar seating first come first served?

Yes it is open seating- could wait there while you have a reservation to be sat at your actual table.

The menu on their website, for both lunch and dinner are identical, but there's a big price difference. What is the difference?

The only difference is the price. You get the same cuts of meat at lunch as you do at dinner. It's just the time of day that's different.

Is any of the meat halal?

No it's Brazilian ??? Figo de chai Brazilian!

Do you have a kids menu?

No they don't. They ask your kid their age and if 12 or under it's half price.

Do you guys allow toddler to dine in?

Yes, very big family oriented place

I ordered the Thai Noodle Wagyu sirloin salad & my steak was very tough & gristly plus a little too rare than I liked so I shared a few of those pieces with my wife. She also agreed gristly which is a big no-no for her too. My wife had the salmon over rice & broccolini which she paid extra bc she's not a fan of cooked spinach. Her plate was very hot which kept her salmon warm to eat which was a huge plus. She definitely needed the steak knife to cut the broccolini. She was much happier with her dish more so than I was with my dish. But she felt her salmon wasn't too memorable taste wise. Our server was great & the ambiance of the restaurant was nice. We sat in a booth in the back of the restaurant. I doubt if we would return though.

Our server greeted us right away and was very sweet and attentive. You could tell she was still in training, but everything went smoothly. The only small thing I would suggest is having more napkins at the table, since we were only given one per plate and ended up needing a few more during the meal. We had originally reserved a tatami table, but quickly realized it wasn't the best fit for our group since we had some older people with knee pain. Just a heads up, the tatami seating does not have recessed flooring. Luckily, we were able to adjust to a regular table. Once we were settled, we looked through the menu and ordered a double toro roll, a wagyu roll, and a dinner bento with unagi-don. Happy to report everything we ordered was delicious! The double toro was very fresh and refreshing, and the wagyu roll had a rich, savory flavor that reminded us of a yummy steak. We enjoyed every bite. I was especially impressed with my bento box. The presentation was beautiful and the portions were very generous. The bento came with steamed egg, a fresh garden salad, assorted tempura, and unagi-don. Everything in the box tasted great. The tempura was light and crispy, and the unagi was savory and satisfying with egg ribbons in the rice. I think it might be one of the best bento boxes I've had in a long time. First, I want to say the chef was younger, but he put alot of care and effort into each dish, so he should definitely be acknowledged. However, as soon as we walked in, there was no greeting from both of the female servers, only cold stares. Many servers do not give great service to younger tables and assume they won't tip. This occurred throughout our dining experience and we didn't feel welcomed at all. Our table also wasn't the biggest and there was no pre-bussing done to clear our dining space. Also, as a recent graduate, I brought my cap to receive a $15 gift card for their promotion. Instead, she gave a "neighborhood" discount (10% off which made it $10 off). I didn't mention anything since I did not feel like coming back to this location. Then I looked at the receipt, wrote a 20% tip, but this was where I felt scammed. It's difficult to explain and I wish I took a picture, but please check your math on the suggested tip. Total with discount: $98 Previous Total: $108 Suggested Tip: 20% = $20 and Suggested Total: $128 I don't mind tipping $20, but the suggested total would include a $30 tip? We had two younger kids with us and I didn't want them to notice, so we just left after paying. We been to the Sacramento location many times, but their Roseville location was disappointing. And for some that price tag is simply not within reach. Truth is Morton's, Ruth's Chris, and now Fleming's are three national chains with locations in the Sacramento area that do a pretty good job of delivering nearly Indistinguishable experiences. Whatever differences there may have been between them are now minimal, and what really matters is ordering what you like (hard to do if you haven't dined there before), the quality of service (this can vary night to night), and your expectations for what your experience should be for that expense. In addition, now that Morton's (along with Mastro's, Del Frisco's, and The Palm) are owned by Landry's, Ruth's Chris (and Capitol Grille and Eddie V's Prime) by Darden, and Fleming (Bloomin' Brands) are all publicly traded companies - hence Corporate policies, hiring, training, and the same national two or three food suppliers drive the experience. But if it's your birthday, and you have the money, love steak, they are all pretty equal. So pick any! Order what you like, and it will be good. Focus more on the experience. Personally, I find that none of the expensive chains escape being what they are, chains. It was different 30 years ago. But so was everything else.

We didn't call ahead, so the 45-minute wait was completely understandable and not an issue. Once we were seated, though, the experience went downhill. We ordered two kids' bento boxes, an adult chicken teriyaki plate, three sushi rolls, my chirashi, and three Shirley Temples. The Shirley Temples came without cherries, so we asked our waiter about it. He told us the cherries are "reserved for drinks at the bar," but are available for Shirley Temples upon request. Um...okay? Shirley Temples are practically known for the maraschino cherry, especially when kids are ordering them. And if they're available upon request, why not mention that when the drinks are served? It then took another five minutes just to get the cherries. The timing of the food was even more frustrating. The kids' bento boxes came first. About five minutes later, the adult chicken teriyaki plate arrived. Then two of the sushi rolls and my chirashi came out. The third sushi roll didn't arrive until roughly 10 minutes after that. We went out to eat together as a family, but everyone ended up eating and finishing at completely different times. Our waiter also never came back to check on us, ask if we needed anything, or offer drink refills. At the end of the meal, my husband wanted to use tap-to-pay and we asked for to-go boxes. It took another 5-10 minutes for the waiter to bring the card reader and a box. Then I asked for a bag for the leftovers, and that took forever too. The entire experience felt like it was moving in slow motion. After spending $200, we left completely unsatisfied. We have eaten at the Mikuni locations in Fair Oaks and Folsom many times and have never had an experience remotely this bad, which made this visit even more disappointing. I called the restaurant today and spoke with the manager. To his credit, he was very apologetic, listened to everything I had to say, and didn't make excuses. However, after a $200 dinner where the experience was poor from beginning to end, the only resolution offered was a $25 credit. I appreciate the apology, but $25 felt pretty underwhelming considering the overall experience. I guess it'll cover one sushi roll next time--hopefully one that arrives before everyone else is finished eating.

Minus one point for the ice tea that wasn't supposed to be sweet. The set up for the buffet was inviting. You walk through and serve potions you want. Of course, the crab legs were the most sought after. The salted ones look delicious. The boiled ones were just as appealing. Taste wise they were about the normal fare. Nothing amazing to them. I tried many items there but the sticky rice in the hot pot tins were amazing. I would advise to stay away from the ribs there. The crawdads were just miserable. The majority of the tails were squishy.

It also wasn't very busy, so we wanted to give it a fair shot. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill fast once we sat down to eat. The sweet-and-sour soup was extremely oily and had an off taste. More concerning, nearly all of the food on the buffet was cold. The only thing remotely warm was the soup. When we brought it up, the server explained they were transitioning between lunch and dinner and offered for us to wait while they replaced the food. I appreciate the offer, but that doesn't excuse having a buffet--especially with seafood, poultry, and meat--sitting out cold. That's not just unappetizing, it raises serious health concerns. We chose not to stay and eat. Again, the staff was polite, but food safety and quality just weren't there.

Q1227 easily became one of my favorite dining experiences in Sacramento…read more We started with the lobster bites and broccolini. The lobster bites came with a lemon wedge and their house Thousand Island sauce, and that sauce was incredible. The combination of the crispy lobster, lemon, and sauce worked perfectly together. The broccolini was also seasoned really well and paired nicely with the grilled lemon. I ordered an Old Fashioned, and it was one of the smoothest I've had. One detail I loved was that they stamped the restaurant's logo into the ice cube. Small touch, but really cool. For my main course, I ordered the Grilled Huli Huli Chicken with a crispy rice cake, pineapple, greens, and a house sauce that completely made the dish. The sweet and tangy flavor paired perfectly with the chicken. Me and my girlfriend also shared the mac and cheese, and honestly, this was one of the best mac and cheeses I've had. It was rich, creamy, well-seasoned, and the breadcrumbs on top added the perfect texture. My girlfriend ordered the braised short rib with garlic mashed potatoes and carrot purée. The short rib was so tender it practically fell apart with a fork. Everything on the plate was delicious. One thing that surprised me was the portion sizes. Everything was very filling, and we ended up taking some food home. By the time dessert came around, we were already pretty full, but there was no way we were skipping it. To finish the night, we shared the Ghirardelli triple chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, and strawberries. It was the perfect way to end the meal. The restaurant was busy and lively, but it never felt crowded. The tables were spaced out really well, so my girlfriend and I could still enjoy our conversation and watch the basketball game. I also appreciated seeing Chef Q and his wife walking around and checking on guests throughout the night. They stopped by tables to see how everyone was enjoying their food, which was a really nice touch. I even had the chance to take a picture with Chef Q before we left, which was super cool. Between the food, service, atmosphere, and attention to detail, this is easily one of the top restaurants I've been to in Sacramento. Definitely worth a visit.

They market themselves as upscale southern food, not soul food, so coming here with realistic expectations is definitely important to your experience. It felt loosely southern inspired, definitely seasoned and prepared with the Roseville demographics in mind. We ordered the Caesar salad, the fried chicken, the ribeye, and a side of mac. Out of those items the ribeye was our favorite, the least favorite was the mac. I ordered a cocktail and they definitely do not skimp on the liquor. I definitely want to try more of the menu. I've heard the burger is delicious, and the brunch menu looks super appealing.

Since every state in Mexico cooks staples differently we were curious to try Oaxacan Cuisine. The restaurant feels like a restaurant in Mexico, we sat in the second back room and we felt like we were transported to a restaurant town in Mexico. The server was great, nice and friendly and the food was amazing! I ordered their Oaxacan Style Ceviche and it was so good! It came out in a molcajete style plate, and it looked small, however it wasn't, the portion was generous! Our family member ordered the pozole and they shared it was also delicious. (We didn't try it because we don't eat poultry but it smelled so good). Overall great stop, and we will be stopping by when we're back in the Rocklin area.

Fish tacos so goooood! [Rocklin CA]…read more So happy that my friend, Belinda, suggested this place when I mentioned that I was craving fish tacos. I ordered from their Mezcalito Specials menu (green) and chose the Baja Fish Tacos ($18). I like the part that it came with rice and black beans. It included two fish tacos. Since I couldn't decide between grilled or fried I got one of each. The fish were beer battered with cabbage, mango, pico, avocado | opted out of the cilantro and onion | Chipotle Aioli on the side just in case I found it too spicy for my taste. It turned out that it added to wonderful flavors on the tacos. Unfortunately, the chips and salsa was not complimentary. Purchase separately. The servers were friendly and welcoming and it made for a pleasant first time experience! There are two dining sections so don't fret when you see the dining area full as you enter the restaurant. There is also a picnic bench under covered roof outside patio dining. You won't be disappointed! No wonder they are at almost perfect 5-stars in Yelp. Instagram: @mezcalitorocklin Review #4055
