Food is 5 stars, I've been coming here for years and really enjoy all the selections they have on the option A. The reason for the bad review is because of the new tablet they have at the table. You order through there instead of through a server. Kills the customer service and interactions so that's a 1 star... next the system didn't even get my order right. Order multiple things that didn't come and wrong quantities when it did go through. Please get rid of this!! Then you will get 5 stars all day. Hate to even post this review tbh

We came to celebrate my future son-in-law's birthday and had a really fun evening overall. We usually go to the Arden location, but since it's closed right now, we decided to try this one,and I'm glad we did. The sides were a standout, everything was fresh and flavorful. The fish cake was especially fresh, and the miso soup was absolutely wonderful, comforting and perfectly balanced. The fried rice, unfortunately, missed the mark for me. It felt more like plain white rice with peas and corn mixed in, rather than a true fried rice dish. That said, the pork belly more than made up for it,it was delicious, well-cooked, and full of flavor. Definitely don't skip the cheese corn and dumplings, they were highlights of the meal. And all of the beef options we tried were excellent, tender, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. The birthday dessert was wonderful and such a nice touch to celebrate the occasion.I loved the spinning reward, which made the experience even more fun and interactive. Overall, a great atmosphere, fun experience, and strong food highlights. We'll definitely be back!

As a big fan of the OG Howe location, our longings for Blue House were hitting hard with the prolonged remodeling of the original location. We went to Blue House Roseville for a celebration, and were hoping it would be as good as the OG. For the most part, it hits the spot. If you're a fan of the taste of Blue House, you'll feel right at home here. There were some things of note that were of interest to us that differed from the OG. The ventilation isn't as good. It's definitely more smoky; not only is it visibly more smoky, the smell definitely lingers more at this location onto your clothing. This place is smaller and can't handle as much traffic. Just something to note for large parties or those wanting to go on days that are probably more busy. The ordering process at least for us was old school. Unlike their other locations that use tablets, it was paper and pad. This led to some mistakes in our orders. Additionally, it took a while between rounds for wait staff to get back to us. This also was reflected in drink refills. The kitchen felt it was a little slower than other places, so it compounded into longer waits. If they fixed the wait times between rounds, it would have made a much better experience.

Came in for dinner and had a really great experience overall. The food was just as good as I expected and everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and hit the spot. I did notice this location is a bit smaller than the other one, and the selection of side dishes is a little different too, but it didn't take away from the experience at all. It actually felt a little more low key. The variety of banchan here was a bit different compared to the other location I've been to, but everything we tried was still really good. It was nice getting to try a few new things, and everything paired perfectly with the meat coming off the grill. Huge shoutout to our server Erica!! she was amazing all night. Super attentive, always checking in at the right time, and made sure we never had to ask for anything twice. She really made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. Definitely would come back again, especially knowing we'll be taken care of like that.

Great food and great service. We went on a saturday at dinner, surprisingly there was no wait. We did all you can eat for 2 adults and a kid. It was great, all the servers were super helpful and efficient. You can order from a tablet every 10 minutes, which i enjoyed because you didn't have to wait for a server to come around. it also had pictures of all the items which was helpful as somebody who rarely eats this cuisine. The manager was amazing, he was wandering around the restaurant checking in, he noticed our table was burning fast so he replaced the meat & burner for us. he helped us cook the meats to perfection, and made suggestions of which were the best choices! After helping us, he was helping another table pour shots and drinks! For korean bbq it was about average, $40 per person with the option to order 12 rounds of meat (if you order every 10 minutes for your full 2 gours) 10/10 would reccomend coming here if your looking for korean bbq!

Quite literally the best food i've had in a long long time! This place is not just amazing, it deserves all the stars possible! Very affordable for a dine in place nowadays also has lunch specials 11-3pm.! Our server on wednesday evening was just amazing, top notch service and they make sure to make every person happy despite being so busy! This was my first time trying them, and i'm so surprised on how much i like it!! The kimchi was so delicious, and the meat even better. Sesame chicken got me on a choke hold now!! i will not stop telling people about this place!

Came here on a weekday. Not too busy during dinnertime but when it does get busy, there's not much room for waiting inside so be prepared to hang around outside if you're waiting in line. Lots of parking. The interior is well lit and great for a catchup dinner with friends or even going to eat after work on a weekday. It's a bit more casual than some other KBBQ places which I enjoyed. I tried Option B on the AYCE menu, only thanks to my server's recommendation and I'm so glad I did! I was expecting to only try the A option but after talking to the staff, I was completely convinced!! Service can be okay depending on when you go. The night I went, I was blessed to get Koby as my server. He was extremely welcoming, and really took the time to educate my group about the different options and meats. We had a million questions and he was warm and friendly through it all! He was super quick and handled all of my table's needs. He really took "Make a customer, not a sale" to heart. If you can get Kobe as your server, do it! Your table will have the most fun time. You get the basic sauces right away (salt and sesame oil with a side of Gosu sauce). I usually get lots of kimchi and lettuce wraps to pair with my meats but you can also get rice if you're feeling it. I love the little taiyaki ice cream but sometimes the ice cream does come a litter freezer burnt. I wish there was another taiyaki piece to balance out the ice cream to taiyaki ratio. This is a KBBQ place after all but that's something that I noticed if you're looking to get dessert here at the same time. They have several soju flavors to try and a special Valentines Soju Cocktail Slushy as well. It was sweet and refreshing but I don't think I would reach for it again unless I was really in the mood for a sweet treat. It wasn't too strong either. Shoutout to one of the workers (I think his name was Alex?) for recommending the drink to me. He looked so focused working, I honestly felt bad for interrupting him but his hospitality was incredible and he was wonderful explaining the different drink options for my table. Where does a restaurant find such amazing talent for servers?! I would have given 3 stars but honestly, the two servers from that night brought my review up to 4 stars. Overall, Blue House is a great casual hangout place after work but maybe not for super big special events. I enjoyed my time there and will come back with my friends. Thank you Blue House!

We came on a Saturday right when they opened so it was empty. Even as we dined, it was empty and a few parties did not trickle in until the end of our dining experience. This was my first time at this location. I have previously dined at their Sacramento location years ago, which is now temporarily closed. Service was great. A shout out to EJ for being so attentive that we didn't even need to use the service button. Also how cool is it to have a service button on the wall at your table that you can press! I've never seen that at any restaurant and thought it was nifty. We chose the lower tier option which still has a TON of different meat and appetizer options. I enjoyed the galbi and my sister enjoyed the spicy bulgogi. They also give you cubes of meat fat as a way to grease the grill before laying down the meats, which is a nice touch as well. We got the fries, jjangmyeon, and steamed egg as appetizers. The fries weren't the best and could probably use a couple more minutes in the fryer. The jjangmyeon was disappointing. I've never tried it before but it looked like regular ramen noodles to me. I wish we had more room to try more appetizers! Overall a good experience!

Had the best experience at Blue House on Thursday! My friends and I usually go to the Arden location because it's closer, but since they were closed we decided to drive the extra miles to the Roseville location to celebrate a birthday. We've never been to the Roseville location and were surprised to see how upgraded it was compared to Arden lol. We were seated immediately with no wait time (but then again, we were there on a Thursday night). It did get busy throughout the night, so I would expect a wait if you're coming later during dinner time or if you have a big group, and I suspect the weekends are even more busy. The service here is amazing, our server checked in on us frequently and always offered to change our grill. We noticed that compared to the Arden location, our server here literally never forgot to put in our orders and everything came out really fast, which we appreciated. We happened to come the night that the general manager, Eric, worked and he came by our table and had a great chat with us. He ended up surprising our table with complimentary tiger prawns which he cooked for us, some mango bingsu with mochi, and a coupon for my friend's birthday. We weren't expecting ANY of this, so it was quite a treat and made the drive out there so worth it. We loved this location and can't wait to be back soon

Tried their AYCE option "A" for $38/pp which included a variety of beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and all the appetizers. Option "B" had a few extras but didn't think it was worth it. It's a standard Korean bbq place. The star was definitely the meats. The appetizers were fine, but you'd end up getting filled on those and those were mid. Props to the servers walking around replacing the grills. That alone is 5 stars. Definitely recommend. 10/10.

I was suprised that there wasn't much of a wait for a Saturday night. Got seated fairly quickly after putting our name down on the waitlist. They have 2 options for the dinner ayce. Option A is $38/person and option B is $48/person. I went with option A and felt like that selection was big enough. There's a ton of appetizers to chose from, but don't order too much of it cause those are fillers. Their meat quality wasn't the best I had, but I did enjoy the brisket tho. The bulgogi and garlic soy marinde is on the sweeter side. The staff was amazing tho. Our server, Bella, did an amazing job of checking up on us to see if we needed to order more food and if we were doing ok. She was even able to memorize everything we ordered without writing it down. We got our grill changed out a couple times without us having to flag down the staff. Bathroom was also pretty clean too!

Blue House Korean BBQ Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Blue House Korean BBQ

    All you can eat?

Yes, it is all you can eat.

    When is kids eat free?

    Wednesdays!

Hi, I'm in search of finding a Korean BBQ place that allows solo AYCE. Can you accommodate single person? Thanks

None of the AYCE KBBQ restaurants in Sacramento require a minimum number of people.

How come the cheese corn isn't cook before bring it out anymore?

Hello Justin, thank you for submitting a question. Cheese corn is one of our favorite and most popular item. We’ve learned from our randomized sampling surveys on corn…

    Are they doing dine in?

Yes they are. We just dined in on Wednesday evening

How much does the dinner All You Can Eat cost?

I may be wrong but I think it's like $27 and $36. The higher one obviously with more meat choices and more seafood.

Is this all you can eat?

    Yep

Does this location have steamed egg?

Yes they do! I didn't get to try it though. You can order only 2 sides at a time and I didn't get the chance

Has anyone had the fried chicken? Care to comment?

Sorry, we didn't order the fried chicken.

How long does it take to get in and out during lunch? Looking for it to be less than 2 hours to make other appointments in the afternoon.

We went on a weekend lunchtime and it wasnt too busy so it depends. You can make reservations, so I would recommend it, if u can. Our entire experience lasted at least an hour. I would leave 30-45 min between your appointments, depending on distance.

    Do they take reservations?

Yes, I know they do on weekends but not sure about every day

Can you please compare Blue House to the prior restaurant Iron Gate?

Hands down better than the old restaurant that was in the same place before.

Does this location have halal meat?

Perhaps you should contact the restaurant directly. They certainly do not advertise that any of their dishes are halal or kosher.

Does this location have All You Can Eat?

They don't have all you can eat but the portions are really big. We got the $59 meat plate for five adults and had tons of leftovers.

The restaurant was not packed at 5:30p but it got busy when we finished by 7:00p so we came at a good time. I ordered the CHIMICHURRI TOP SIRLOIN. The meat was tender and flavorful with the housemade Hatch chimichurri sauce. It came with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed seasonal vegetables. Chargrilled to order. I chose less pink at medium well. My friend had the 3-bones BBQ BEEF RIBS. She gave me a piece to taste and it was so good! We had a wonderful server, Taylor, who was super friendly, engaging and attentive equally to not just our table but to all her guests... I was observing. LoL! I do like the part where you can pay right there at this little thingamajig pay system on each table. It is also able to split checks! It came with 3 ribs and one slice of brisket. When I asked the server if the combo usually comes with 1 piece, he said it's a 3 oz portion. The service was good, but I'll never go back. Way overpriced for the amount of food that you get.

The owner is an incredibly kind, genuine man from Atlanta who brought authentic Southern barbecue to Folsom, and it shows in every bite. This isn't just another barbecue restaurant; it's the real deal. The beef ribs are my absolute favorite. They're perfectly smoked, incredibly tender, and packed with flavor. Honestly, I've tried just about everything on the menu, and I have yet to find anything that wasn't amazing. Belly Barbecue is in a league of its own, and there's simply nothing else like it anywhere around here. The only downside to Belly Barbecue being so amazing, they run out of food! But that's what happens when you make barbecue this good; people line up for it. My advice: get there early, because once they sell out, they're done for the day. If you appreciate authentic Southern barbecue made with pride and passion, Belly Barbecue is an absolute must-try. I can't recommend it highly enough!

A buddy and I split a tray with brisket, turkey, and pork ribs, plus grits, mac and cheese, and banana pudding. The turkey was good. It may not be anyone's first choice at a barbecue joint, but if a place knows what it's doing, the turkey should still be solid, and it was. The pork ribs had great flavor with perfect tenderness and just the right amount of bite. The brisket was the star of the meal. It had an excellent bark and reminded me of some of the best brisket I've had in Texas: simple salt and pepper seasoning done right. I also got my wife a beef rib and a side of collard greens to go. The customer service was outstanding. Everyone was friendly, accommodating, and made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back. I also liked how the owner stayed in the front and engaged with every customer. Definitely a family feel coming here.

Stopped by Buckhorn for the first time for Father's Day lunch. Great joint for pretty good BBQ!…read more Buckhorn is an order at the counter and get a number type place. The line was long when we came in, but moved quickly. The bigger problem is that there aren't nearly enough tables for how many folks were dining in. We did end up finding a table on their patio- which is always a win for our family. For about $70, we got two kids' meals (one slider and one chicken tenders), a shareables order of the tri-tip tacos (that my wife ate as her entree), and a two-protein platter with the pulled pork and tri-tip. They asked how we wanted our tri-tip cooked, and we answered medium, but all of the tri-tip came out well done. The flavors of everything were good, though, and the portions are substantial. The kids' meals are a great value. The two-protein platter was enough for two meals if you wanted it to be. The tacos were filled generously and were very tasty. I enjoyed the coleslaw- though I read some others find it bland. I did not think that at all. I really enjoyed the selection of sauces available at Buckhorn. They have a pump-your-own-sauce station with several types of BBQ sauce, horseradish sauce, ketchup, and spicy ranch. Yum! My favorite was the mustard-based BBQ sauce. Overall, I would totally return to Buckhorn. I could probably lean 4 stars here, but I think it's a better spot for BBQ than many others in my area and in the Roseville area that I've tried. It's certainly made my Roseville area visit list.

The layout is the same as any location where you order food at the counter, get your number, and wait at table. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, which is nice because the indoor space isn't very big. Staff are helpful. They keep everything organized and clear out tables quickly We got the feast for 2 meal and added the garlic fries. It came with choice of 2 meats, 2 sides, salad, and corn bread or rolls. The portions were big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids to eat. They offer different bbq sauces at a self serve station. The food didn't take too long to come out. And we enjoyed everything. We did find the smoked sausage a little spicy for the kids, but they loved the mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. We liked this location even if it's a little small. The food was good as other locations we've been to, and the service was great.

The pancit was a hitter, especially with the pork skewers and lechón. For around $30, you can get a tray that easily feeds 3-4 people. That's hard to beat. This is more of a wish than a complaint: if they ever did longaniza with garlic rice, or tocino as a breakfast option one day a week, I'd be first in line. There just aren't enough Filipino food spots around here. If you've never had Filipino food before, let me make it easy: First order: BBQ meat with rice and lumpia. Fifth order: Upgrade to adobo or sinigang. Tenth order: Get the halo-halo. You're in now. Friendly people, good portions, and real comfort food. Definitely worth checking out.

Because I wasn't that hungry, I asked if I could just order lechon (pork belly) by itself, but you have to order the Lechon Kawali Barkada platter for $30 so that's what I did. After a 15 minute wait, a half tray of pancit, lechon, chicken skewers, and lumpia rolls with sauces was set before me. While the menu says the platter serves 2-3 people, it's more like 4. Because the lechon and lumpia are served on top of the pancit, both were not as crispy as I would have liked, but everything tasted good. In addition to hot food, Kabayan also sells Filipino packaged snacks and canned food. For thirsty people, there's a water dispenser and cups. Kabayan is owned and operated by a husband and wife team and their menu changes daily.

We saw the smoker in the front of the building. I do luv me some good ole BBQ. So off we went. We ordered a double down plate $26: two 7oz protein choices with cole slaw on brioche and an 8 oz side choice. Brisket and pulled pork were our protein choices with and potato salad. We bought another side, macaroni salad. We requested that the pulled pork be placed on the side and additional sauce. I dislike being that customer with persnickety preferences. But we were, and they didn't blink an eye. Super accommodating. The pulled pork had a deep smoky flavor. Tender shredded pieces. Mmm. The sauce was served on the side. That too was delicious. Hubs had the brisket and wolfed that down before I could swipe a piece. Darn. The potato salad was tasty. Slightly tangy, which I really liked. The place is family owned and operated. It's a sports bar and family friendly bbq joint. Giving off family friendly vibes. But hey, a bar and family friendly? Yes. They both co-exist harmoniously. Talking about sports. The TVs of course are tuned onto sports. All of the screens are strategically placed throughout. They even have framed signed football jerseys from USC Trojans, Denver Broncos, and 49ers to name a few. Pretty neat.
