Came in lunch time on Thanksgiving '24 and despite the busy atmosphere, staff was very attentive. Prior to seating, Mark already introduced himself as one of our servers, our main server which I'm sorry to say I can't remember his name, was simply outstanding. Ambiance is nice. Food was meh. All the meats were well done even though I asked for medium. It took forever for drinks even though we asked our waiters 2-3 times. And we didn't even get polenta/plantain/mashed potato dishes when asked. We just gave up and lost appetite. What more is when chewing the hard meat I found a sticker on a tomato from the salad bar. I discreetly mentioned it to our waiter and he just took the plate and walked away. Didn't show any remorse or say sorry about that. Perhaps he was busy but the service was not great. We went in for a 1:30pm brunch on a Saturday. The only thing I enjoyed was the omelette station. Kudos to the gentleman who made it and even walked it to our table twice. First of all ... what a waste of money. If you want to eat in what feels like an overcrowded hotel lobby, be my guest. The " experience" tells you that you'll be receiving all these different cuts of meat, including Filet Mignon. This is an untrue statement. After two hours at our table we were only offered top sirloin, bottom sirloin and something called garlic beef. Lamb came around once in two hours. Filet Mignon NEVER came around. You're basically paying for bottom of the barrel cuts of beef at premium prices. Servers on a Saturday night are for the most part unavailable, so don't count on having more than 2 or 3 cocktails. And the cocktail pours were skimpy at best. The salad bar is ok at best, nothing really stood out as being delicious. If you're thinking about a date night at this restaurant, think again. The sound in this place is ridiculous, trying to have a conversation across the table without yelling is preposterous. I went for my birthday because I've heard such great things about it, and I consider myself a steak and beef connoisseur. Not worth it it whatsoever. Poor service, and a horrible atmosphere make this an expensive nightmare. Pass pass pass. Save yourself the trouble and expense and fire up your own grill. By the way, there is basically no parking so be ready to leave your vehicle at the hand of very courteous valets. read more

The service was lousy. We waited over an Hour to get the one kind of meat we requested from at least three people. There is no longer filet mignon; if they do offer it, it was never offered to us. Three of us ended up getting diarrhea. I am not sure what is going on with this place, but it sure is going down in quality and service. read more

Honestly, not a lot of great things to say except the potato salad was good. Service was slow on drinks but it was a busy Saturday night. Salad bar was on the small side, just ok. The meat. That's why you go right? If you can actually get any it's Not. Good. At one point in the huge room we were in, there was not one single server offering meat and when they did come around We were offered top and bottom sirloin. A few times. Come on. There was some dried out chicken and bacon wrapped grizzle. Very sub par. Restaurant is pretty and walking through the staff was very friendly. With tip we spent over $1600 that included the $46.50 we were charged for water. Also, there ya a guy walking a young selling shots for around $14 a pop. Place is just shady. Definitely not worth it. I celebrated my birthday here last month and it was a great experience. I have been to 4 other Fogos in the area and this is now my favorite. It's so much cleaner than the others. The floor plan is better because the tables are spaced out more and feels cozier. The bar is also larger. Our server was extremely attentive and never let our glasses finish before she asked for a refill or refilled our waters. She also brought over cuts and items (such as chimichurri and sides) in a hurry when we asked for more. The salad bar was clean, well stocked, and tasted fresh. Loved the large ball of grana, cold cuts, and salad. Most of the table opted for the insane promo of $39 tour of Brazil and we were all very pleased. Our table's preferences ranged from medium rare to well done and each person received their meat cooked to liking and seconds were brought over on demand too of our favorites! My favorite drink on the planet is a passionfruit caipirinha and they make the best ones! I have no complaints and would love to go again! read more

We reserved a table for 10 for a graduation dinner & were rudely moved after being seated because two people didn't show in our party. From the start the Service was terrible. Waited on a meal for over 1 hour on Sea Bass. Asked the server, whom we thought was going to check on the long wait. After a long hour of waiting on the bass, it was poorly prepared. The service for the meat was thrown in your face & you couldn't even understand the person what type of meat the person was serving, due to a rushed server of the meats. If i could rate them a big fat zero I would. We kept requesting beef and they continued to bring chicken to our table. One waitress came checked our bread amount by looking in the bread basket dod not say a word to us. I personally think a lot of the servers are racists. They would skip our table and go to the next one although our cards were turned to green. Will not be going back. We had a terrific experience at FOGO Oakbrook last week. Celebrated a friends birthday and everything was just perfect. VERY FESTIVE ! We celebrated my Aunts 60th birthday here. Beautiful ambiance, great service and good food. Some of meats were bland but the filet mignon was delicious. Came here to celebrate a friends birthday for the first time with a group of 11 right when they opened on a Sunday which means we didn't have to wait with no reservation. We got the CHURRASCO EXPERIENCE which is about $46 per person before drinks, tax and tip. The system is great they give you place cards that you either flip for green or red when you want to continue the table service or stop. Definitely will come back but only for special occasions. For my friends birthday they received a complimentary dessert. For a group of 11 our bill was $632 before tip. Bathrooms were also very clean. read more

Waited for a guarana, we asked him if we could have the drink (waited over 30 mins for it) then he proceeded to say "Well... do you want the desserts first or the drink" Absolutely unnecessary. He also said to "speak up" in a totally unnecessary manner as well. Never going back here and i advise that if you want a good dinner experience, go to chama gaucha down the street. This was quite a shocking experience overall. We had a Mother's Day reservation that was for 10 people at 12:45pm and our whole party was checked in by 12:45pm. I checked in with the front desk to let them know that we have arrived and they said they were waiting on a specific table to get up and then they would seat us. It was 1pm when we were still waiting and so I followed up with the front desk to see where the table was at. She responded with "I'm trying trust me" which came off quite sarcastically. I also watched her speak to another customer with the same tone and said, "If you would like to go up to that table and tell them to scoot, you can do that and get your table that way." Around 1:10pm, we ended up getting sat towards the back section of the restaurant and our server came by saying he'd be right there for us. He came a few minutes later and greeted our table and offered South American wines to try since it was discounted for the Mother's Day holiday. I asked him if he had Joel Gott wine since my sister enjoys that wine and he says "No, I've never heard of that wine before." It turns out it was on the menu and another server asked us what we'd like to drink and I said that we'd like the bottle of the Joel Gott wine. He overhears this conversation and goes up to the server and says it loud enough for our table to hear, "We actually haven't had that wine in months, so they'll need to pick a different wine. I told them to get a South American wine, but they don't want it." He then provides a decanter that was clearly dirty and tried to present the Simi wine bottle to us while we all noticed how dirty the decanter was. We asked for another one and then he provided us a new one that was fairly cleaned. Meat service was fair and took so long when requesting bacon wrapped filets and lamb, however, 2 of the meat servers definitely made our experience a little more enjoyable. It was time for dessert and we had ordered espresso with liqueur along with tres leches and chocolate cakes. It took 25 minutes for all of it to come out and there was a misunderstanding with the espresso with liqueur and when asked for clarification, the server completely had an attitude when responding to us. In addition, we can hear him continuously say sarcastic remarks about how slow his tables were turning over and passes through our table and another table swearing at another server for taking his water while my 1 year old nephew is at our table. Overall, it was unprofessional and appalling to see a restaurant represented this way and since it was Mother's day which is a very busy holiday, I'll give them 2 out of 5 stars. Our bill was $925 and it unfortunately was not worth the experience. Will not return. read more

From the start of our visit the night was a mess. Not enough room for all the people with reservations to wait. Then we finally get a table and proceed to wait 15 mins for our server. The floor around the salad bar area was slippery and even after we informed staff nothing was done to correct. My wife slipped and almost fell. The servers of the various meats were slow and far in between as opposed to my experience at other type restaurants. We then ordered one dessert and had to wait almost 1/2 hour for a slice of key lime pie. We will never come here again. read more

We went on a whim during lunch. Usually we go to a different Brazilian steak house, but we hadn't tried Fogo yet and decided to stop in while out shopping. It's a beautiful restaurant. Very aesthetically pleasing. The salad bar had beautiful fresh fruits and greens. That's about all that was enjoyable, sadly. I wish the food and service matched the atmosphere. Everything we received, besides one banana, was maybe room temperature. The meat, the bread, the mashed potatoes, and the rest of the bananas. Every single food item was unacceptably cold. Our water glasses smelled of mildew/wet dog. We asked for new glasses and the second set also smelled horribly. The meats had zero flavor and everything was over well done. I'm not sure how that is possible. The knives were either very dull or the meat was just that tough. We were done after 3 different pieces. We left shortly after arriving. Next time will drive the extra 5 minutes up the road to Chama goucha instead. read more

It's somewhat disappointing to know that service changes based on who the manager or main host is. Not sure what happened this evening but basically we were ghosted by our server by the end of our meal and what was supposed to be a happy celebration for our sons birthday a tradition we have every year at Fogo. We actually chose to come here because of Tony and Hugo. We usually go to Naperville and found out they we were here over the summer and enjoyed our last meal here. You can see our last experience. So we opted to come here instead of Naperville and we have been sitting here for half an hour waiting after we have been clearly done with our meal. We are not even in a bad location, in fact we are in the center of traffic. I am really disappointed and this experience leaves us to most likely go back to Naperville. This is very unfortunate because I just shared how wonderful I thought this place was and how the quality and ambiance was. I'm glad we saw Tony on the way in, I wish he was still on shift because he probably would have made sure our experience was what we were used to. The only reason I gave two stars is because of the past good experiences and what I hope to get the next time I go to the Naoerville location or when I come back when Tony and Hugo are here. read more
