Made a quick stop at Perry's in Oak Brook and grabbed a seat at the bar, which, quite frankly, is my favorite way to enjoy Perry's. I ordered the Texas Sausage and a Caesar salad that was anything but traditional. The seasoned pumpkin seeds and anchovy took it up a notch. A friend joined me last minute and ordered the Gulf Fried Shrimp with Cajun fries, and that was another 10/10. And we can't forget the Raspberry Refresher--a blend of house rosé, Hendrick's gin, lychee, and raspberry purée. Delicious and officially my drink of Summer 2026! Simple bar eats with an unexpected twist, and I loved every bite. The only thing that made it home was the rest of the sausage stack, and that was intentional! A group of us visited Perry's Steakhouse in Oak Brook for a celebration dinner. We were sat in the private dining room which was just off the entry. A beautiful circular room that was glass enclosed with views of outside and the bar area. They had sheet curtains incase groups wanted a bit more privacy. The room also had a personal fan for air circulation and an independent speaker system to adjust music volume. For drinks, our group got a variety of cocktails, beer, and wine. I got the Hugo Spritz which was a great portion & tasted amazing. While some cocktails on menu were expensive, my Spritz was $14 and my friend's tito's dirty martini was only $13. Definitely consider just ordering a classic versus one of their mixology offerings if you're looking for a budget conscious option. For starters, we shared the Stuffed Mushrooms, Calamari, and Spinach & Artichoke Dip. The portions were good for sharing. The Stuffed Mushrooms had a seafood mix in them with a delicious sauce paired under. The Calamari had a hint of spicy to it but nothing crazy. The Spinach & Artichoke Dip had a good truffle note and was creamy; the dip could have used a few more chips but some individuals used the complimentary bread slices. Most individuals got a soup or salad before the mains. The Lobster Bisque Soup was rich and creamy with a good amount of lobster. Others tried the Caesar, Chop, and Field Green Pear Salads. The Pear Salad could have been shared by two people since it was a starter salad. Everyone raved about the flavors of these. For mains, most people got steaks and shared side dishes of Brussel Sprouts, Truffle Steak Fries, and Asparagus. The sides were shareable for 2-3 people I would say. I ordered the Seared Scallop Pasta and loved it! The noodles were al dente, two sauces paired nicely together, and loved the vegetables that brightened up the dish. For desserts, we shared the Rocky Road Bread Pudding, Fudgy Chocolate Cake, and Orange Vanilla Cream Cheesecake. Every option brought its own flavor and offered something for everyone. I tried the Bread Pudding and Chocolate Cake and WOW! I'd certainly order either one again. While all of the food, drinks, and atmosphere were great, I struggled some with the service. Our main server was Christine who guided us through the menu nicely, made sure the room was comfortable for us, and had a sweet demeanor. The pacing of food was a bit off where it felt like dishes were being taken off the table with a couple of bites left just to serve the next course. I'm not a fan of wasting food when out and I felt these little bites could have been saved and sent home with guests. If we paid for it, we should ALWAYS be asked. We had a very disappointing experience at Perry's in Oakbrook on Saturday, June 20, 2026. My sister, our daughters, and I were seated for lunch when our server, Casper, came to take our order. As we ordered drinks, he asked only my daughter (33 years old) and my niece (39 years old) for identification. My niece explained that she had her ID available digitally on her phone. Casper said he needed a physical ID but would check with a manager to see if the digital version could be accepted. After speaking with management, he returned and informed us that a digital ID would not be accepted. He explained that the restaurant's policy required physical IDs from anyone who appeared to be 30 years old or younger. When we expressed our frustration and said we would not be dining there because of this policy, he showed no concern and offered no apology. We were curious about a random age requirement if the server thought you "looked" 30 or younger although the legal drinking age in Illinois is 21. Before leaving, we asked to speak with a manager. Ryan, the manager, met us at the door, and we explained that we were disappointed that our niece could not order a drink despite having a valid digital ID. Rather than addressing our concern, he compared the situation to him being carded at liquor stores. We pointed out that this was a restaurant, not a liquor store, and that the policy appeared to be applied selectively based exclusively on the server's judgment. Ryan offered no apology and referred us to the General Manager. When Christa, the General Manager, joined us, we asked why the restaurant used a 30-year-old threshold when the legal drinking age in Illinois is 21. She initially stated that the policy was to request IDs from all guests ordering alcohol. I explained that only my daughter and niece had been asked for IDs. She then revised her explanation, saying that servers request IDs from anyone who appears younger than 30, making the policy exclusively dependent on the server's judgment. We also pointed out that we observed a nearby table of younger-looking guests had been served alcoholic beverages, but their server did not ask for their IDs. Christa questioned our observation. What was most disappointing was that neither Ryan nor Christa apologized for the inconvenience or acknowledged our concerns. As first-time guests, we left feeling frustrated and unwelcome. Unfortunately, this experience has ensured that we will not be dining at Perry's in Oakbrook again and has left a bad impression of Perry's management team, in general. I had such a wonderful dining experience! My server, Kiki, was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was warm, attentive, professional, and genuinely pleasant. She checked on me throughout my visit without ever being overbearing, and her excellent service truly stood out. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded my expectations! I usually take my direct reports out for dinner for the holidays, allowing them to pick the place of their choice. Since this location was close to home for the three of them, Perry's was the choice for dinner. I realize that this establishment is nothing like Cooper's Hawk, but I can't help feeling that there are similarities in terms of the service and decor. I will say that all points were hit at this location with the exception of not having that Turtle Gumbo (complete with Sherry on the side) that the Schaumburg location had earlier this year. That said, I am giving this location total props for their loaded mash potatoes were on point! I could have just eaten those all by themselves! For an appetizer I got the steak lettuce wraps. While quite tasty, they were a little hard to eat as a wrap, so I ended up knife and forking it. For dinner I had the surf and turf (steak and lobster tail). Flavor-wise, this was a tasty dish, but I was a little put off my the presentation. Visually I kept thinking about how fajitas look with oil in the bottom of the serving dish. My direct reports all loved their meals and were especially in love with the grilled veggies and pork lollipops. I thought the corn brulee was interesting. Sort of reminded me of a skillet prepared cream of corn dish. I enjoyed it. My direct reports also loved the various cocktails they ordered. She was funny, warm, knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations, and somehow kept us laughing the whole time. She recommended the Prime Ribeye. For a drink, I ordered the Pineapple Ginger Ale from their shaken sodas. Fresh muddled pineapple, mint, lime, topped with ginger ale. Super refreshing and clean. Honestly perfect before a steak. When the ribeye hit the table, it looked incredible. Deep, dark sear with real char, crispy edges, butter melting on top, juices already running. First cut was tender and cooked just right. That first bite made me pause. Smoky crust, rich beefy flavor, buttery finish all at once. The fat was rendered perfectly, adding flavor without being greasy. Plenty of options on happy hour menu. We ordered an appetizer and to me it was only ok. Very overpowering onion flavor. Pork chop very tasty and of course huge! Whipped potatoes were only ok. We visited Perry's Steakhouse in Oak Brook for the $39 senior menu and paid the additional $21/per person upgrade for the prime rib and Perry's filet. Unfortunately, the experience was so uninspiring that I didn't take a single photo. My husband's 12-ounce prime rib was so fatty that he left roughly 30% of it on his plate. My order was entered incorrectly, and after waiting another ten minutes for the correct Perry's filet--wrapped in bacon and topped with crab--it arrived looking terrible. The filet was about half the size of the unwrapped steak initially brought to me, the bacon was barely cooked, and the overall presentation was extremely unappealing. Half raw, wiggly bacon!! Not at all like the photos on their site! I sent it back but was no longer willing to wait for another steak. Although I never received an acceptable entrée, I was still charged à la carte prices for the included salad and potatoes. The potatoes were subpar, so I essentially went home hungry. The manager offered to have another steak prepared and provided a complimentary lower-priced dessert, but under the circumstances, refunding my meal would have been more appropriate. We declined the dessert--why would I want dessert after not having dinner and losing my appetite? Our waiter, Michael, never apologized for entering the wrong order. He didn't check on us often enough and another server, observing us looking around for our server, asked if we would like to speak to the manager. Despite the sub-par service, we still left him a 20% tip. Cuz I didn't want my conscience bothering me, but clearly it wasn't deserved. Based on the quality of the prime rib and the way my meal was handled, we will not return. Everything was amazing! And they were very accommodating. There was ONLY an 8oz filet on the menu, but I thought it was too much. I asked for a 6oz. instead. They were able to respond positively to my request. When my steak arrived, I quickly learned that it was wrapped in bacon, a little detail that was omitted from the menu. The bacon presented a dilemma for me. When I informed my waiter, Vincent, they quickly corrected the matter and delivered a deliciously perfect 6oz filet. My husband and I came to Perry's to dine during Chicago Restaurant Week and had a lovely evening! Our server, Stephanie, was super nice and had such a bubbly personality! We really enjoyed her service throughout the evening. My husband and I chose the same appetizer and entree: the Caesar salad and the 8 oz Filet Perry. Both tasted very delicious. My husband really liked the sunflower seeds on the side that he added in for the salad. We also got a bottle of one of their French reds, which paired nicely with our meal and our server even decanted for us. For dessert, there was a little snafu when we ordered the cheesecake and the chocolate crunch tower: a crème brûlée was brought out instead of the cheesecake! No worries!! UPDATE to our Father's day experience... I'm updating my review because I believe it's only fair to recognize both the original experience and how Perry's handled it afterward. Following my review, Guest Relations representative Kristina Brune reached out, took the time to listen, acknowledged that Perry's fell short of its standards, apologized for the experience, and followed through on a $150 electronic gift card as a gesture of goodwill. I genuinely appreciated her professionalism throughout the process. Today, my husband and I decided to give Perry's another chance after shopping nearby. I can honestly say the experience was night and day compared to Father's Day. We chose to sit on the patio, and from the beginning the service was outstanding. Our drinks took a little longer than expected, but before we even mentioned it, they were graciously removed from our bill. Assistant General Manager Ryan Sprague introduced himself, checked on us throughout the evening, and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Ironically, my steak again wasn't cooked to the temperature I ordered. The difference this time was how it was handled. The steak was promptly taken back, and within minutes Ryan personally returned with a perfectly cooked replacement and made sure everything was exactly as it should be. That simple interaction showed me exactly what was missing on Father's Day. Mistakes happen. Great restaurants are defined by how they respond when they do. Our server, Kasani, was exceptional. His recommendations were fantastic, his attentiveness was outstanding, and he delivered the level of hospitality we've always associated with Perry's. This is the Perry's experience we've enjoyed over the years and the reason we've continued dining there. My Father's Day experience will always remain disappointing, especially because it was a meaningful family celebration that we can't recreate. However, I also believe in giving credit where it's deserved. Thank you to Kristina Brune, Ryan Sprague, and Kasani for restoring some of the confidence that was lost. Now for the food - we had the calamari as a starter. If you're a fan of peppers, give it a try because it did have a little heat (which I enjoy.) The main course was the wagyu trio; they served 3oz cuts of a wagyu filet, NYC step and ribeye. I wish I could accurately explain 1) how good the steak was and 2) how full I was off of those small cuts of meat. For me this was a top 10 experience due to the flavor and fact I had leftovers when done. The sides were loaded mash, brussel sprouts and mushrooms. All 3 were good, but I liked the mushrooms the least. There was sadly no room for dessert, but plenty of room for drinks! Their Paloma was solid; one of the better ones I've tried. We had a group of six yesterday evening for dinner. Two of our couples were retiring from an exchange program, and the coordinators were thanking as for our years of service. As we seated at the table, our waitress picked up right away that we had so much to talk about and so she gave us a lot of breathing room. She kind of tapped us one at a time to get our drink order, never interrupting the flow of conversation. After we had our cocktail and had settled in, she asked us if we were ready to order or if we needed more time to catch up. We ordered and everything came out at a perfect pace! Overall it was good the food was delicious. That pork chop with a side of apple sauce was outstanding the star of the show. The Brussels sprouts were very good with a nice balance of sweet and heat and you can never go wrong with lobster Mac. Now the bad, had a 7:30 reservation but didn't get a table until like 8:15 guess I can chalk that up to going on Mother's Day weekend. Then after dinner the young lady mixed up my card with another table and I got billed for their dinner and then mines also, so it was a big mess to straighten out. The food is also very expensive on par with some of downtown Chicago's steakhouses so don't expect a break because it's the suburbs. Went to Perry's during restaurant week. We had a reservation for eight people for my son's 30th birthday celebration. As soon as we arrived, we can tell the restaurant's ambiance was lively. It was packed with people talking , laughing, pretty much having a good time. We were seated immediately and our waiter Francisco started us off with drinks and explaining the specials. Our drinks, appetizers, and food all came out at the right times. We ordered the fried asparagus, lobster, mac & cheese ribeyes prime rib, New York steak, and desserts. Everyone enjoyed their food. My only issue was that I ordered my New York steak medium well and it came out pretty cooked. Almost a little dry. I still ate it. It was fine. I think from now on I should just be ordering steaks medium rare so it could've been my way of ordering. Overall good experience food was delicious. Ambience was lively. Went with a party of 12 to celebrate my sister's birthday. Food = awesome. Waiter = awesome. However, they dropped a bomb with the closing performance. When we made the reservation , we were informed that the restaurant would accommodate separate checks. When we sat down, the waiter assured us again and even confirmed the bill break out with us by party. After our meal was complete, a different staff member came over with some piece of paper saying he was looking for a person at our table. Once the person was identified, the staff member proceeded to say out loud " when you made the reservation, you signed a contract and the contract says we do not split out the bills. You can use different cards for lump payment but we will not itemize/ break it out for you." This was unprofessional and different from what was confirmed with us when seated and upon making reservations when asked. They gawked at us as we scurried to adjust to this new news at the last minute. This was weird and unprofessional. After we figured it out, the waiter came back to apologize and the other staff member disappeared. I guess he was just sent to do the dirty work. He wasn't the general manager as he claimed he had discussed this issue with him. read more

Best steak I ever tasted (and I love the fries)! The staff was amazing making all of my party feel welcomed and appreciated. There was one hostess that customized mocktails for a guest accompanying me which loved every drink. Although we made reservations we had to head to the bar after waiting for a while but it was worth the wait. The bar area was standard and we sat in bar height high chairs.
