    Chicken and waffles

Nice little breakfast/lunch spot. I thought it a bit pricey, and we ended up having to pay to park, so that added to the expense. Hubby had French toast and I had chicken and waffles with a peach compote. Good coffee and good food, basic, nothing spectacular but you won't be disappointed either. Nice staff, friendly and efficient.

We went on a weekday morning, early, so there was absolutely no wait. Our waiter was quick and attentive, and our food came out quickly. The quality of the food was impressive and fresh. The grits had bit of fresh corn, which I loved, and all of the food was fresh and well-made. We were walking, but I did not see a ton of close parking. However, the resturaunt is funky and comfortable inside.

Located @ 174 W Ponce De Leon Ave Decatur, GA 30030 Health Score 81 = B on 3/10/2026 This Breakfast / Brunch Spot is located in the heart of downtown Decatur. We ordered the Breakfast Burrito with Turkey Sausage and The Complete Breakfast and added a Sweet Potato pancake. Overall the food was good. But I wish med I had more turkey sausage in my burrito. It mostly consisted of just eggs. A parking deck is located just around the corner but you also have Decatur Train Station about two blocks away if you don't drive. The service was great and our waiter explained the menu options and the substitutes we could make for an up charge. Basically, you can add or change any of the breakfast selections but keep in mind that it will be $2 to $4 more depending on your selection. The ambiance was steady and not too busy for Tuesday morning. It was the customer service for me. Much Appreciated.

I really loved this little place in Decatur. It felt like walking into a local diner that was family owned, but more upscale. Our waiter was really nice and made some great recommendations. I ended up getting their pork chop sandwich which I wouldn't have ever gotten without their recommendation and it was fantastic. My guest also loved her lunch but I was too busy elbows deep in mine to remember what she got. Or take a photo. Just remember to take your statin before you come

This was actually my second time visiting, so I decided to try something different from the menu. On my first visit, I ordered the smoked salmon and poached eggs breakfast entrée. This time around, I went with the shrimp and grits. While the presentation wasn't the best, the dish was extremely flavorful. It truly hit all the taste notes that make a meal memorable. 10/10 -- would absolutely recommend!

House made food with excellent flavor. My husband NEVER likes grits but these were a hit because they were so hearty and even had pieces of corn. Everyone was friendly and I love that they offer some outdoor seating for days when the weather is nice. Parking not the greatest but there's a garage right across the street. Overall, Highly recommend.

    Chicken Pot Pie and tea

THE BEST CHICKEN POT PIE OF ALL TIME!! i had a great experience at FolkArt. the ambiance is very casual but has a cool feeling to it. the service could be a little better but it wasn't bad. we had everything we needed. the chicken and waffle was good as well. the only thing i would change was that the chicken was slightly dry. not terribly dry but it could be more moist. the drinks were $4 for a tea and a pineapple juice which is not exorbitant (at least for in the city). over all i would say this is a must try!!

Been wanting to go here for a little while now, I love the location in downtown Decatur however I was a little unimpressed. We sat at the bar in hopes of faster service... that was not the case. We received our food but trying to get someone's attention for silverware took quite a while. The drinks were just ok, although they have quite a few cocktails available. And the food was just okay... nothing super special. However, the restaurant itself is really pretty. Ambiance is chill, definitely a place where you can meet with a friend to catch up so that was nice.

Stopped in for brunch and got a few items. I got the Reuben with a substitute for turkey. It did not really look like turkey. It look more like corned beef, but it was good. The French toast was just OK. However, the corn beef hash was amazing. The service was great and the ambience is very laid-back. I will try a couple more dishes. The next time I go back overall had a good experience.

Service was outstanding, food was good as well. We went for brunch on Sunday and since we arrived closer to their time to closing, we were able to be seated immediately. Our server was friendly, prompt and provided a few suggestions. We ordered our breakfast and everything was cooked to perfection. Served hot and was fresh. Cobb salad with pork on side was refreshing and the perfect portion size. The breakfast platter was served with a pumpkin pancake, choice of meat and eggs cooked to your liking. No complaints. Parking is available at a reduced rate if you park in the correct parking lot.

Came in last Sunday for breakfast. Such a cute spot! We got there around 10am and easily got a seat. It started filling up around 11. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I got a sweet potato pancake with peanut butter and banana plus a side of eggs. The pancake was soooo good!! Definitely recommend!

OMG what a nice surprise this place. The food is amazing! Our waiter was great, loved that he made suggestions for my side.

Top notch breakfast brunch spot! Can't go wrong with any of the dishes. Excellent food, excellent Bloody Mary, good service. One of the few places where you can get decent grits that actually taste great! One of the few places that sells whole hog sausage, also delicious. Today's meal was short ribs and grits. The corned beef hash is a favorite. Every dish I've eaten here has been very good and very well presented! I took off a star because it can get pricey, particularly with the small, unexpected upcharges.

On this particular Friday morning, it wasn't busy at all when I walked in, so I was able to order right away using the screen. I went for the Effin Chicken sandwich, which features a fried chicken breast topped with cheddar cheese and effy sauce on a warm brioche bun ($9). I also got a cinnamon roll ($3.75). The wait was short, around 5-10 minutes, and everything came out hot, especially the cinnamon roll. It was so hot that I couldn't eat it right away, indicating it was fresh out of the oven. Both the sandwich and the cinnamon roll were nothing short of amazing. The brioche bun elevated the sandwich to the next level. The size of the chicken made the sandwich substantial enough that sides weren't necessary. The combination of cheese and effy sauce was perfect; I'm not sure what's in the sauce, but it's delicious. The cinnamon roll was equally impressive. It was warm, with cream cheese that was incredibly tasty. The roll itself was soft and easy to pull apart, and each bite melted in my mouth. Overall, the food was fantastic, and I loved the aesthetic of the place.

Cafe Alsace is one such discovery that belongs on the radar of those in the know. Having been around since 1997 and founded by a French immigrant, Benedicte Cooper, this is one of the more unique establishments focused on specific cuisine of Alsace region. Spectacular liver pate. Incredible Flammekueche flatbread. Ridiculously inexpensive selection of great wines, up charged at 1.5x retail. I mean, where does one find deals like that in today's market? The patio has a couple pleasantly setup tables. Sadly, as with most Atlanta patios, it is next to the relatively busy road, but it is what it is.
