I've been wanting a BA since high school but put it off until I was able to sustain an independent lifestyle which didn't happen till my late 20s! I saved up for a year and started doing my research for reputable doctors in the Sacramento area. I was always told that the best surgeons are in LA or the bay but I knew that wasn't true. Their are talented docs everywhere, one just needs to look! I went to a couple of consultations and decided to go with Dr. Mabourkah! Very experienced surgeon and the pre-op was very thorough which I liked! Nurses we're all super friendly and knowledgeable! Today is day 2 after surgery, tolerable pain, not able to do the full extended arm exercise yet but still trying! Feels as expected with the tightness on the rib cage and chest. Super tender! Took norco before I slept but just helped with my cough and not really with the comfort. I am also taking bromelain (started a week before surgery) and arnica as recommended - hopefully that makes a difference! Size before surgery: 32B Desired result: Silicone, Large full DDs, round profile, and incision under the breast, placed under the muscle. The consult - (3 months before surgery) 3D imaging, asked about health history, and the sizing was fun! Showed the doc a few wish pics and I know after doing my research I wanted DDs round and HP. He recommended 545cc moderate plus. Of course I trusted his recommendation! I am pretty full on my lower body, hips and butt do the larger breast will make me look more proportionate. Doc also pointed out that I have slight scoliosis which was news to me! I always thought I had a nice posture. Right breast larger than the left and one nipple higher than the other but barely noticeable to the non professional eye . The pre-op: (3 weeks before surgery) I wanted to finalize my decision on the sizing before the surgery so went back to the sizing room. I read that when the implant is under the muscle it will decrease in size slightly so I wanted to go bigger for that purpose. I went back to the 3-d imaging and went with 565cc Sientra silicones HP! I asked for bigger but he said the implant would widen out and be too big for my frame at that point. (I have a smaller upper body frame - 25" waist). So I went with the 565cc! The nurse Jackie was super friendly and made me feel so at ease with the operation as she was a patient herself to BA. Day before surgery: got a call from the anesthesiologist to review some questions and he told me what he was going to do the following day and asked if I had any questions. Day of surgery: I started taking bromelain a week before surgery to help aid in the future healing process. I was first in line, appt was at 7:15am. I got there slightly early and they brought me in straight away. Changed into a top gown, hair net, IV in, fluids flowing. The other nurse (sorry! forgot her name) was very friendly and talked me through all the meds she was administering through my IV. The doc came in, marked me up. The anesthesiologist finally arrived about 15 mins later (which I didn't mind cause I was watching Netflix!) he administered me with an appetizer sedative which made me super drowsy and then I woke up at 9:50am and the procedure was complete!! I didn't see Dr. Mabourkah but the anesthesiologist checked on me to see how the anesthesia reacted to my body. I didn't vomit or feel queasy which was good! The nurses assured me all went well and I was wheeled out of there with my ride waiting for me. They called him when I was in recovery and provided him with a release care sheet. They also sent me home with a care package which was cute! (Campbell's Chicken noodle soup, Gatorade, and saltine crackers). Remainder of the day, I drank the Gatorade, had minestrone soup, saltine crackers and activia yogurt. Today is day 2, pain is tolerable but DEFINITELY feel the stitches more today! I couldn't sleep last night because my chest feels super tight, ribs feel pressured (as to be expected) I slept on a gravity chair so that I remain leveled. Walked every few hours. Took norco before I slept but it didn't help me much. So I took Tylenol at 5am, which relaxed me slightly but that was it. Still taking the antibiotics, arnica, bromelain, and I purchased electrolyte powder on amazon a week prior so I stay hydrated! My first follow up is Wednesday so I will see my breasts then!! I only saw them in the recovery room for a short min and it looked good! Can't wait to take the bra off and shower in 3 days!! read more

Dr. Mabourakh and his team are consummate professionals who do their best to make sure you feel comfortable and understood throughout the entire process from initial consultation to your post-operative check-ups. I didn't feel like my Dr. was trying to sell me on anything I didn't need or promote unrealistic expectations. He can be quiet/stoic in his approach but it is clear that he is an expert in his field and stays up to date on the latest research. It was clear to me that he planned outcomes not just for what would look good in the immediate future but also in the long-term. I think it's easy to fall into the trap of thinking we know what specific procedure is going to provide the best outcome because we see what we don't like in our body/face all the time. Stay away from Dr Mabourakah! I can't say enough about how despicable and incompetent this doctor is. He does not listen, his staff is incompetent and most importantly he will ruin your face if you allow him to operate on you. I had rhinoplasty in 2020 and I can't say enough about how disappointed I am. I have to redo my nose as I have 70% blockage from Dr. Mabourakah's poor skills. I ended up with a Heavy Staph infection in my sinuses when Dr. Mabourakah's office left the stents in my nose for 2 months. I had been calling the office to let them know I couldn't breathe & they continued to tell me they didn't handle sinus infections and I would need to talk to an ENT. At no time did they ever look at my chart or tell the doctor I was calling in. The patient coordinator told me this is normal as it's an Allergy season and never once did anybody in the office look to see that I had never had the stents taken out of my nose. I was taking all kinds of medication's thinking I had an infection when finally I went to an ENT who told me there were stents in my nose (I had no idea what a stent was nor did I know they were in there as Dr never mentioned it to me ). The ENT did a biopsy and it came back w results showing a Heavy staph aureas. I had been scared because I was feeling weak and tired and I knew something wasn't right. This is the kind of care you will get w Dr Mabourakah.... Complete incompetence! In fact, when I found out the stents were in my nose still, I was done with Dr. Mabourakah & staff! They had plenty of time to address my concerns as I had been calling the office over and over to no avail. I called another Plastic Surgery office (Dr Mehta) closer to where I live who told me to come in immediately. Dr Mehta took the stents out letting me know the stents should have come out at 7-10 days after surgery. When I confronted Dr. Mabourakah about the mishap and everything that it happened regarding his lack of care, he was really insincere and told me to come in and let him take a look at it. I could come in & get a little facial or massage (something along those lines ) & told me my chart probably got lost. Very reassuring! His patient coordinator completely lied about the conversation I had with her as she didn't recall any of it, which was just a bunch of hogwash.. He would not give me my money back and I actually pursued him legally and let me tell you, he is nasty. Hewill fight you. He will lie about your character & paint you out to be a difficult patient. He is mean & wicked. My lawyer got cancer in the middle of our case. She could not meet the timelines so we could not appeal to continue. I want to let those considering him to go elsewhere . He does not care about you. He will fight you & demean you before he gives you a penny back. He probably spent more money fighting me then if he just gave me my money back. He made a mess of my nose. I cannot breathe out it & I have nodules & bumps all over the top of it, not to mention the end of my nose ends up on the other side of the line at the center of my lip. It is completely crooked. My nose was cute before Dr M. I had a cute button nose tip when I went to see him & essentially, I just wanted him to take the little bump off the top of my nose... Yeah, he did that but he also made a mess of the rest of my nose. It's ugly now & doesn't function properly. As I mentioned, I cannot breathe out of it & Dr M is probably one of my least favorite human beings on this planet. He's nasty, narcissistic, money hungry, lacks skill & professional, his patient care is lacking. DO NOT waste your time & money & DO NOT let him touch you. He DOES NOT have the skills to do rhinoplasty. I've had so many consultations & let me tell you everyone of these experts rolled their eyes at what he did to my nose. He needs to have his license pulled. The California medical board needs to intervene. If Dr. Mabourakah has damaged your nose in surgery please report him to the California medical board. They need to know the kind of damage he is doing to his patients. They need to look into this lack of skill & professionalism. I come from a family of healthcare professionals & I work with specialists at Stanford and UCSF myself & Dr Mabourakah is about as incompetent as they come when it comes to upholding the Hippocratic oath. He FAILS! I can't speak to his other surgical specialties, ie butts and boobs, as seems like that's where he should spend his time & effort. As for those reviews for him where patients rave about him regarding their rhinoplasty, I cannot help but believe those are fabricated reviews. I got an otoplasty here; surgery on one of my ears to match the other one more. I have always been self conscious with my hair up and wanted to change that. I specifically booked my procedure after a physical test I had and before I started work again. The women in the office are nice enough but the doctor is a little rude, not accommodating and definitely not sympathetic. I go in for the procedure which I am to be awake for. He gives me about 5 numbing shots all down my ear which are EXCRUCIATING. I then feel my ear and he yells at me to not touch it. How about you shut up, I'm making sure it's numb since you're about to slice it open. It seems to go ok, takes about an hour. I was in a ton of pain that day which he said I wouldn't have, but I was fine on day two. After I take the headband off I notice there is still a tag on my ear that he was supposed to remove and that I paid him to remove. When I go in for my follow up the doctor is in surgery so he doesn't see me, his assistant does. She takes pictures and says she can see the tag and will talk to the doctor. She also takes out my stitches which is painful and she leaves one in by mistake that I take out myself later. I am really busy now that I have started work again nor do I want to go through that terrible process again for something that should have been taken care of the first time. I don't want the pain and I simply do not have time for the recovery process, especially because I'm training for a job that requires me to work out. I tell FPS this and ask for a partial refund. They deny me and say they will fix it "free of charge". I let them know that is in fact not "free" since I already paid thousands to have it done in the first place and it should have been fixed the first time around. They talk again and deny me once again by telling me the exact same thing. I understand that things happen and not everyone is always happy, but it is the responsibility of Folsom Plastic Surgery to make things right. CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE. I had the pleasure of getting rhinoplasty done by Dr. Mabourakh in February of this year. Everyone including the staff, anesthesiologist, and nurse were very warm and welcoming. I am forever grateful that I chose this doctor who was very knowledgeable and thorough as well as made sure I was healthy enough to move on with this procedure. At first my chest was very flat and I was thinking about doing a chest plastic surgery. Some of my friend have done it and I think it look pretty good on them. So I decided to get surgery at this place. After I've done the surgery I see that my chest was out of order. One of my chest was higher then the other chest. I didn't think much about it because I thought it was just a swollen problem but I was wrong. A month after my chest surgery me and my family could clearly see the order of the chest was getting worse, we could literally that one chest was so high and the other one was pretty low. I went to see the surgeon and told them about it and what the said was very disappointing. They acted like they doesn't care and they said "Oh your chest is one high one low, I'm sorry is my bad." and then after that they ask "If you really need to fix that I could do another surgery for you and take that out to do it again". At that point I was very mad. Like if they are doing a surgery on someone how could they be so careless?! They should've check very carefully at wear to put it in, if they're going to be that careless I don't think they deserve to be a surgeon. I don't normally write many reviews... But I had too with this wonderful place and staff! I've been wanting to get a breast augmentation for as long as I could remember. I've never had any boobs so small I never wore any bras. I've always been very confident but I wanted some cleavage but for it to still be proportionate as I have a very small frame. I am 4"10 and 85 pounds! I had booked several consultations. My aunt referred me to Folsom Plastic Surgery as she stated several of her friends had went for their boobs and it came out amazing! I booked my consultation and I knew right away this was the place. I did my research and seen the stellar reviews and ratings. I can't stress enough how much research is when getting any cosmetic surgery. I went with 400cc memory gel mentor implants. I had first chosen 330cc and at my pre op decided to go bigger. One of the hardest decisions was choosing a size for me. I didn't wanna go to big or to small but wanted it to be worth it! The day of surgery I was nervous but the staff made me feel so at ease and comfortable. I laid there watching Netflix while having a great convo with the anesthesiologist. Then Dr. Mabourakh came in and asked me how I was feeling and went over some things briefly and drew the lines on my breasts and told me he will see me soon in the operating room. The last thing I remember is being assisted walking to the double doors and that's it lmfao. Next thing I know I'm waking up being wheeled out to my ride. I was expecting to be in way more pain when I was recovering but pain was minimal. It was mostly just sore and felt really hard kinda like when your milk first comes in and engorged but a little worse. At first I was skeptical if I went to small and how they looked but I will say when you hear trust the process please be patient for more of a final result before you let yourself feel unsatisfied. I am now 4 months post op! I wanted to wait a few months before posting a review until I was closer to my final result. I will say I couldn't be happier with my results! So if the first thing the doctor says when I bring my 15.5 yo into her rhinoplasty consult is that he does not work on 15 year olds. Ok, then why did your staff schedule a $150 consultation when I stated her age when we scheduled the consult. We have had this appointment for over a month and there was ample time to let us know that this doctor does not operate on 15 year olds. So we drove 45 minutes, pulled her out of school early because the office asked us if we could come in a half an hour earlier and spent $150 to hear that she should come back in a year. When I told Dr. Mabourakh that I felt that his front office staff should have let us know that he doesn't work on 15 year olds and wasted our time and money, he then stated that they don't know and that he DOES sometimes do them but not unless the cartilage was fully developed. Gaslighting me doesn't work, you literally said right away that you DO NOT work on 15 year olds and maybe some docs do but you would not and it would be unethical. I appreciate the honesty and ethics regarding him not doing it yet but then when I suggest that the office staff let the customer know he became defensive and completely contradicted himself. I cannot believe a doc needs $150 that badly to waste all of our time. Office staff was very nice though I will definitely say that. read more
