Dairy Freeze is one of those iconic neighborhood establishments that has been putting smiles on people's faces for decades. The ordering/waiting lines were wild. Idk if it was an off-night when we went, but there were at least 15 people standing around waiting for their ice cream while we were in line ordering. Both of the ice cream flavours were super rich, tasty, and really hit the spot (not of hunger, but of being cold) on a hot and humid New England day. We trooped from the North End to Chestnut Hill to check out White Mountain Creamery. We arrived around 11:30pm and super happy they close late, at 12am every day!! The staff were all super nice and helpful. All of their ice cream is homemade and you can definitely taste it when you try their ice cream. We all got small sizes: one with a scoop of cake batter + scoop of oreo, one strawberry, and one orange sherbet. They all were delicious and definitely satisfied our ice cream craving. Their interior aesthetic made me feel like I was stopping in at an ice cream joint in the middle of New Hampshire or Vermont haha I loved it. I also noticed they do mini ice cream cakes... ADORABLE.
