Came on a Friday night around 9pm and there was a line out the door! The place is fairly small with no seating area so keep in mind you'll have to stand somewhere else to eat your treat. I got a double scoop of Apple Cider Doughnut and Caramel Pumpkin Pie. Both had a fair but of bite to them and there were so many chunks that it was a but like eating cake. The flavors were good and on the thicker side. They also let you sample so you can make sure to get your favorite before you commit to such an expensive treat. I would've liked a bit more depth to the flavor to match the thickness. They also only have wood spoons which is great for the environment but I just ended up tasting wood half the time instead of my ice cream. Would be interesting to try other flavors and see if they have less cakeiness and more depth. read more

Not going to lie--I was not expecting this place to be good at all especially after reading "earth" in its motto. But honestly, this is some of the best artisan ice cream I've ever had! It definitely demolishes the stereotype of vegan foods tasting terrible because the ice cream I had was refreshing and delicious but you could still tell it was healthy. I was a bit hesitant that it was made out of soy milk but it adds a different experience. There are some flavors that taste more soy-ish than others (always ask for a sample before if you're not sure!) but you should give it a try anyway. My friend describes her experience eating the Caramel Pumpkin Pie as "eating out of an actual pumpkin" so I'd take her word for it. The flavor in their ice cream very dense and powerful while not being overwhelming. :) The only downside is that this specific location is really small and the only moving place inside is for ordering. Not really anywhere to sit and talk so my friend and I had to sit at the yard in front of TimeOut Market but the staff is very nice! read more

So excited that FoMu came to Fenway! I've been anticipating this day for months. Ice cream was really good. I had a classic cookies and cream mini; be wary of the coconut milk taste if you've never had non dairy ice cream. I tried the magic bar too and felt it to be too "nutty." I would like to try the earl gray next or even the strawberry/vanilla bean classics. The texture feels just like regular ice cream, and I like the vegan/plant-based/ethically-sourced theme they have going on. Both of the employees I met were very nice and helpful with flavor samples. I will definitely come back to try some more flavors. Since I live here, it's more likely I'll just buy a few pints of ice cream or cake and eat it at home while watching Netflix, which sounds awesome. This is a very cute FoMu shop, although it is very tiny! If there are more than 2 people in line the line goes out the door! The ice cream here is unbelievable. It is so creamy and delicious and they have amazing flavors. There is a subtle hint of a coconut flavor (since the ice cream is made with coconut milk) but the hint of coconut honestly makes the ice cream even more yummy! My daughter has had a severe dairy allergy for years! We live over an hour outside Boston And we were in town for an event. We made a point to go in last night because everything was safe for her. She ordered her first frappe ever. The gentleman who made her frappe was fabulous and smile so genuine as he could see the pure joy ! He offered her whipped cream and chocolate sauce . Every flavor (with perhaps one or two exceptions) is based from coconut, so whether you're getting blueberry shortcake or hipster avocado, it's gonna taste predominantly like coconut. That's not to say it isn't decent-tasting (although coconut definitely doesn't give it a natural ice cream texture either) but I was not expecting such overt coconut flavor. I've been dying to try this per recommendation from a friend and I'm always eager to try dairy free ice cream options! The place is very small, it was a bit cramped with 6 customers inside. I asked for a sample of one flavor and ordered a small (2 scoop)- 1 scoop of cold brew and 1 scoop of magic bar. The cold brew flavor is absolutely INSANE- so creamy and delicious you would never know there is no dairy. The magic bar is also good- it wasn't as creamy and dreamy as the cold brew though so it was outshined. The price is decent compared to other dairy free ice cream places I've been (Pressed Juicery) and the amount of ice cream I got in the small was plenty for me. My only complaint is I looked up the ingredients after I got home and they weren't as great/simple as I had imagined- comparing to my other dairy-free experience at Pressed. However, my stomach felt great afterwards so I can't complain too much! read more
