I gave this place a fair shot. Three separate visits, trying a wide range of items, before settling on my rating. Without a doubt, this is the best Mexican restaurant within a 50-mile radius. Across my visits, I ordered the chile relleno burrito, chilaquiles, tacos, mole, pancakes, and more. Every single dish was phenomenal, honestly, not one complaint. What really sets this place apart is the tortillas. It's rare to find a spot where both corn and flour tortillas are equally impressive. The corn tortillas are soft, pliable, and never brittle, with a rich toasted corn flavor. The flour tortillas have that perfect slight stretch and texture that's hard to come by. You will not eat dry tortillas here ! The salsas: jalapeño, habanero, and red, are all outstanding, and the service has been consistently great. The city doesn't have many standout Mexican food options, but this place fills that gap completely. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great choice for families, and the value is absolutely there. I'm a big fan and this has easily become my go-to spot for breakfast and Mexican food. First time here for brunch. Most authentic and best executed Mexican food in Temecula/Murrieta. Hand made tortillas, perfect whole and refried beans, light flavorful chips, full spectrum of homemade hot sauces, perfect chili quills, perfectly cooked eggs, great coffee. Our server was excellent and the prices are well below what you would expect to pay for such high-quality food and service. My family and I dined in here on a Sunday morning, my husband was worried there'd be a big wait but we got there at the perfect time! It's tucked away in a not so busy shopping center. We got seated and served very quickly! My husband ordered a cafe de olla which was delicious and we shared the green chilaquiles-it's nice because it comes with beans and rice, decent size to share at a great price. We got scrambled eggs for my baby(no complaints from her!!) Inside is cozy and cute! They also have an outdoor seating area which is nice to have the option. Went here with the family. The dark mole was delicious, son rated chorizo and 7/10. The French toast and kids pancakes were so dry, idk how you can get something that dry. My chile relleno tasted like ketchup or like straight up tomato sauce out of the can but not even seasoned, when I went to take a bite it was all stem, I couldn't even see the stem and assumed it was taken out. Ordered a large horchata loca, it was mainly horchata so when we asked for more coffee to add they said sorry we can't do that. I went on a recommendation about the beef burrito with steak from an historically reputable friend so that's what I ordered. Oddly it came served in 3 open flour tortillas (flour at my request) without anything but the beef. I added beans rice and part of the tiny salad and my choice hot sauce and the beef was excellent. Barbecued or smoked I don't know, but a flavor that got my taste buds excited. It's a beautiful restaurant in a standardized way but very comfortable. I will go back. I've been dreaming of this place since I went the reasons I love this place are the following: * The owner she sat & talked to us about their menu, recipes, and the restaurant history. * They start you up with a sopa de Fideo * The menu is huge I didn't take pictures of the whole menu but there is various options * The FOOD a true taste of what Mexican food should taste like. * The twist they bring original Mexicans dishes and they add a twist to them the horchata loca is a great example, it's an horchata asan ice coffee so good. * There salsa selection from non spicy at all, to spicy how we like it spicy, I let them know we enjoyed spicy & they made us a salsa to try while there. * The cleanliness of the restaurant is always a plus for me, the decor is pretty and the place is big to have a larger party. If you ever been to a restaurant in Mexico you will see this is what they look like, old school decor mixed with new school decor. Cute little restaurant, very clean. Sweet waitstaff. We were regulars of the Mexican restaurant this one replaced so we were interested to come back. I was intrigued by the salsas (I love a creamy salsa verde) and the cafe de olla (happy to report it comes with free refills!). We ordered chips (unfortunately, an additional charge), the carne asada taco plate, and a carne asada torta. Portions sizes are on the smaller end which I personally don't mind. Can't wait to come back and try more dishes! The mole dishes, mulita, and crepes with mazapan caught my eye. They also have a solid kids menu. Prices are reasonable. I got the wet burrito with asada and verde sauce and he got the verde chilaquiles. His rice and beans were so good I had to order a side order of it. LITERALLY BEST RICE AND BEANS IVE EVER HAD! The food was the real showstopper - authentic and delicious! 3 homemade sauces were presented to us as well as the customary chips and salsa. All 3 sauces were "chefs kiss". We had the carne asada tacos made with homemade tortillas. We also had an assorted appetizer platter with shrimp tacos, taquitos and gorditas (sopes). For dessert we had the Nutella banana crepes - YUMCITY!!!!! The menu is extensive and features breakfast, lunch, dinner, deserts and soda fountain shakes.
