Breakfast Burrito at Vero's this morning in my search for the best in south valley IE. Coming into this little spot I was pleasantly surprised by the interior, nice and welcoming with good seating options. The woman running the front of the house was very friendly and got me settled to dine in, as I do, to get the full experience (typically I'm visiting the walk up counter order). She brought out some chips and salsa, took my order and pointed me to the salsa bar. The chips were nicely seasoned and fresh, the salsa had a pleasant burn that wasn't overpowering, so careful if you're sensitive to heat. The burrito I got was the Grande Breakfast Burrito. Upon first glance it was a great size, slightly larger than average, though the exterior could have used a little toasting. Inside the three meats, egg and hash brown were nicely distributed. The hash brown is a preformed patty style which was great as it held form, had crispiness for texture. They use a good cheese blend with great texture in the melted chew of the burrito. Overall, location is in an often overlooked spot near 412 church, but what a little hidden gem. Staff that I met is great and it's just comfortable inside. 5 stars for service and ambiance. Now for the Grande Breakfast Burrito. First for size to value this is a top contender, absolutely one of the best values in the area. Flavor it's also pretty high on the scale. I do like the 3 meat blend as I feel it offers great balance, and with the texture contrast of the hash brown, the gooey cheese and fluffy egg, it hit on all levels, except one. My personal preference is to have some toasting of the tortilla, honestly the only negative and I'm sure all I would have to do is ask next time. Overall burrito scores a 4.9 and could easily max out next time I come by. read more

I was introduced to the restaurant by an acquaintance stating that it's where you find traditional home cooked Mexican food devoid of western influences. No bells, whistles, picturesque presentations, just tasty basic cuisine and reasonable prices. This was my second visit and I selected a different entree, to further investigate the establishment. The tacos were delicious and the beans and Spanish rice were quite tasty as well. Customer service is really good, and the takeout packaging was good. Will continue to visit on occasion. read more

Just ordered carne asada and eggs burrito, ham breakfast burrito, Grande breakfast burrito, and a pastor quesadilla to go right when they opened. The lady was friendly and welcomed me in right at 8am and took my order. Everyone enjoyed their food and mentioned how the burritos were too big to finish at one go. We don't go out as much as before but this is one of my Go-to's for Mexican food when we're in this area. Just a heads up, the menu in the yelp photos are accurate. Great food, great service, great value. My gf and I came for dinner. We each had the tacos pescados plate, I had a margarita ( it was serviced with a chamoy/ tajin rim, delicious!) and she had horchata. The food was large servings, cokes perfectly, and flavorful. The tacos were huge and you get two with beans and rice. Beans and rice were flavorful. I think the combination plate was only $13. Excellent customer service and very friendly. Clean restaurant. The service was good. The food was just okay. Salsa bar was good. The mango and the cucumber drinks great! The 7 mares just okay broth needed more flavor. The chile relleno was pasilla chile which was a nice touch instead of the usual California chile. The enchilada sauce on chicken enchiladas lack flavor salsa a little bitter. The rice and bean not the best. We like to give /support small owned restaurants a second chance. So we might come back and try their breakfast. read more

I almost always get takeout and delivery from this place instead of dining in. I like that the restaurant itself has a salsa bar, and also that I can buy 8oz containers of their salsas for a good price. I generally have a standard order of a bean tostada and a mini taco. We were going to an event at the Temecula Sports Lounge and we were early so took a chance and tried Vero's...wow, very pleased with the food. I had carinitas, my wife had chile verde and our friends had the fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed their food, portions were good and pricing matched the portions. I haven't eaten at Vero's for a while, but I used to get to go lunch there and really enjoyed it. I ordered a chile relleno burrito with ranchero sauce on top, to go, and asked for a couple chips which they used to give you free. The girl told me it would cost $2.50. If you eat there you get free chips but if you have a to go order you don't. It would only cost them 30 cents to throw in a few chips and when you pay $18.00 for a burrito it is the least they could do. Stumbled upon this little Mexican joint while we were staying at the Holiday Inn in Temucla. For a hole in the wall Mexican joint, Vero simply has it all. From ice cream to burritos, it's a more vast menu than one would think. We were pretty hungry coming in put definitely got our portions worth. I went with the two tacos and they were massive. One taco is filling enough here. But it did taste amazing and is worth having again. The servers are nice and frequently checked in when we needed them to. The $2 charge for chips is a bit absurd but oh well. A spot like Vero would be my go-to easy / affordable Mexican hub. It's pretty cheap and you can get a lot for what you paid for. Yum. read more

We have experienced problems on our last 3 visits after my initial review of Vero's Mexican and Seafood Restaurant. This has led to me revising my Yelp score from 4 stars to 2 stars. Main problem stems from poor food quality and lack of following through with requests. On delivery orders they have failed to provide hot sauce with each order. We have requested it on our orders but it is never in the bag. Try eating a dry fish taco with no white sauce and only some crappy red sauce they put on. Also, all tostadas ordered have come soggy and they have used chopped lettuce and not shredded lettuce. So bad my wife tossed hers and made her dinner with chips we had at home. My last carne asada burrito was very greasy and without salsa, not so good. There is only so much blame you can pin on the delivery service. This poor quality and lack of following through with customers request falls on Vero's. As they say in the big leagues "three strikes and you are out". read more

Whenever I'm in Temecula, only 2 places I go to for some really good Mexican food. One of them is Vero's. Discovered them 6 years ago and the standard changed, the bar is higher. They always make anything I order very satisfying. My mini cabeza tacos and buche tacos are so flavorful. Also love their open salsa bar, best green salsa around. Hot carrots and peppers on the side are so good as well. They have a very big menu and everything I've ordered in the past are 5 stars. Service here is always good. The sisters run the place. They also give their younger family members the opportunity to work in the restaurant. The place is clean, always have diners and they have happy hour. People are friendly. read more

My quest for the best Carne Asada burrito in Murrieta/Temecula brought me here after reading other reviews saying they had good CA Burritos. For me a CAB begins and ends with the meat. Most places don't season their carne and it ruins the burrito. Vero's carne was well seasoned and very good. It carried the burrito. I ordered my burrito with no pico because I prefer green salsa, so it came with meat and guacamole only. She told me that the guacamole has tomato, onions and cilantro in it but it didn't matter because I never saw any guacamole in my burrito. What a disappointment. The burrito was a good size for the price. I'm giving Vero's 3 stars because of the lack of guacamole and terrible table service. I had to wait almost 10 minutes to get the server to bring my check. I think she went on a break. I will also say this was the best CAB in Temecula so far for me and better than all of the shops in Murrieta ( I have tried them all). Los Jilbertos on Clinton Keith in Wildomar is still my favorite because they are consistent with the flavor of their carne. read more

This is probably the best, most flavorful Mexican food I've had out here in the Murrieta/Temecula area. Their service is good and the ambiance is ok, nothing spectacular but I would keep coming back for the food. I've had about four different dishes here and they all have been filling and flavorful. Today was the first time we tried this restaurant and was so impressed with the food!!! Since Covid, my husband and I have only been able to order curbside since we both have underlying health issues. Disappointedly, our favorite Taco Tuesday and other Mexican food restaurants do not offer curbside (just take out). Now, let's get to the food part of this review. ...The food is AMAZING!!! I ordered a beef taco and my husband a carne asada burrito (and added fries). We both love the authentic taste and SO DELICIOUS!!! Thanks to Covid we have now found our permanent Mexican restaurant (we have lived here for 23yrs). Additionally, the customer service was wonderful, friendly and willing to put the food in our trunk. Waited 20 minutes for someone to give us the check, they were all huddled by their tv in the back watching Telemundo (the show looked good tbh but come on). We had to go up to them and ask for the check. The table next to us was given a refill on their chips multiple times, we sat with empty chips for 30 minutes while we waited for our food (was still not given more chips).
