    Tacos pescados combination plate
    Rachel A.

Great food, great service, great value. My gf and I came for dinner. We each had the tacos pescados plate, I had a margarita ( it was serviced with a chamoy/ tajin rim, delicious!) and she had horchata. The food was large servings, cokes perfectly, and flavorful. The tacos were huge and you get two with beans and rice. Beans and rice were flavorful. I think the combination plate was only $13. Excellent customer service and very friendly. Clean restaurant. We will definitely be regulars here. They also have a great happy hour and daily specials.

Great spot for some Carne Asada Fries. Their cabeza mini tacos are also full of meat and flavor. Their hot sauces do justice from little spice and for us who love some fire. Next time you you give a chance if you

27911 Jefferson Ave #101, Temecula, CA 92590. This restaurant is highly recommended. The food was exceptional, the service was great, and I was impressed by the Molcajete mixto, which served example of authentic Mexican cuisine .

I've reviewed Vero's before, it's an excellent restaurant in Temecula that specializes in Mexican Food & Seafood, there's also an Ice Cream Bar for Cones. Service is good, Music plays in the background. She had 2 Cheese Enchiladas with red sauce and I had the Chili Relleño Burrito. Yum. Pictured are the Enchiladas

Stumbled upon this little Mexican joint while we were staying at the Holiday Inn in Temucla. For a hole in the wall Mexican joint, Vero simply has it all. From ice cream to burritos, it's a more vast menu than one would think. We were pretty hungry coming in put definitely got our portions worth. I went with the two tacos and they were massive. One taco is filling enough here. But it did taste amazing and is worth having again. The servers are nice and frequently checked in when we needed them to. The $2 charge for chips is a bit absurd but oh well. A spot like Vero would be my go-to easy / affordable Mexican hub. It's pretty cheap and you can get a lot for what you paid for. Yum.

Carne Asada Burrito ordered on first visit

We have experienced problems on our last 3 visits after my initial review of Vero's Mexican and Seafood Restaurant. This has led to me revising my Yelp score from 4 stars to 2 stars. Main problem stems from poor food quality and lack of following through with requests. On delivery orders they have failed to provide hot sauce with each order. We have requested it on our orders but it is never in the bag. Try eating a dry fish taco with no white sauce and only some crappy red sauce they put on. Also, all tostadas ordered have come soggy and they have used chopped lettuce and not shredded lettuce. So bad my wife tossed hers and made her dinner with chips we had at home. My last carne asada burrito was very greasy and without salsa, not so good. There is only so much blame you can pin on the delivery service. This poor quality and lack of following through with customers request falls on Vero's. As they say in the big leagues "three strikes and you are out".

The food is really good! The asada has great flavor! I recommend this place of business.

The place was was nicely decorated. The bathrooms were nice and clean (not funny smells). The dinning area was spotless with updated sort of nautical beach hints. They got me with the fish fridge/market at the entrance. Everything in the fridge looked so yummy. The food was delish from the symphony of the warm bread crust all the way to tartness of the key lime pie. Come here... you will not regret it.

When we were seated, we asked for a high chair three separate times before one was finally brought to our table. The high chair turned out to be too small for our son, so we asked if we could use a booster seat on the end chair instead. The server seemed hesitant, mentioning she wasn't sure she'd be able to get by the chair. We said that was fine and instead placed the booster seat between my wife and me. After struggling to get our son comfortable, we eventually realized the booster seat has two different height settings depending on which side is facing down. It would have been helpful if that had been pointed out when it was brought to the table. Throughout the meal, our server seemed distracted and wasn't around very often. Our food was brought out by other staff members, which isn't necessarily a problem by itself, but combined with the lack of check-ins it made the service feel disconnected. The biggest disappointment came when I took my son outside while we waited. The benches, chairs, and handrails in the waiting area were covered in bird droppings. There were spider webs in multiple places, and the entrance to the restaurant itself looked dirty. I understand the restaurant is going for an old harbor or fishing-boat atmosphere, but there's a big difference between rustic and neglected. Instead of feeling charming or nautical, it felt like years of dirt and grime had simply been left in place. I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, but basic cleanliness and attentive service are things I expect from any restaurant, especially when dining with a young child. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback because the restaurant has potential, but our experience left us with little desire to return.

It was my first time here so I wasn't really sure what to order. And I just noticed after ordering that there is a self kiosk available too... I saw a nice variety of LUNCH SPECIALS so I had a hard time deciding... SERVICE: A+ Excellent service by a really nice last with long eye lashes! I didn't get her name but, she helped explain the menu items and recommended the FLAUTAS! She also gave a sample of the horchata and I really liked it... AMBIANCE: 10/10 Really nice indoor lighted patio feel. It's perfect for a date night or any occasion. I wasn't expecting it to look so cute and authentic inside... OK so let's talk about the food... FISH TACOS: 10/10 I liked it very much! I thought it was amongst the best in town. Their biggest contender is probably Los Tacos. But, they can win on the quality, portions and pricing. The lunch special was $9.99 and it came with rice and beans. FLAUTAS: 8/10 I wish I ate this right away because if you take it home it will get soggy. The closed box and lettuce and sauces made it mushy. I think I would definitely ask if they can kindly separate the lettuce and keep the box open so the flats stay crunchy next time. It has a nice flavor and texture though... HORCHATA: 9/10 I'm very picky with horchata. To me, it can't be too sweet, too milky or too cinnamony. This horchata was close to perfect. I actually got a nice flavor of the rice, it was not too sweet or watered down and has the right amount of cinnamon. I really like and just prefer it a tad bit thicker or creamier. But, it's definitely one of the best in town! The salsa bar is so nice and CLEAN! The cleanest one I believe I've seen in town. And they are very generous with their salsa bar. There were onions, lime, pickled carrots and radishes. All were very FRESH!! Can't wait to come back and try their other dishes!

On Saturday we wandered into TCI for dinner and started with the heirloom tomato and burrata with crostini. It was so fresh and delicious that I briefly considered writing the tomatoes a thank-you note. Next came the Harvest Valley Salad, which somehow managed to make me genuinely excited about lettuce--an achievement that deserves recognition from the culinary Olympics. For our entrée we ordered the Wagyu Steak Frites with chimichurri. The steak was cooked so perfectly it should probably be framed instead of sliced. Every bite was fantastic. We finished with the ube panna cotta, which was elegant, silky, and the kind of dessert that makes you promise you'll "just have one bite" before accidentally eating half of it. Nathan took wonderful care of us all evening. He was warm, friendly, attentive, and struck that perfect balance between making us feel welcome and giving us time to enjoy the gorgeous patio. Watching the sunset with live music in the background and that spectacular view? It was one of those evenings that quietly reminds you why people go out to eat in the first place. Apparently we enjoyed ourselves so much that we came back the very just two days for lunch. (Scientific research requires repeat testing.) We started with the hummus, which arrived looking like it belonged in an art gallery. Fortunately, it tasted every bit as good as it looked. Then came the chile relleno, which was absolutely outstanding. If this dish ever goes missing, I'd recommend checking my refrigerator first. Faith was wonderfully friendly and outgoing, and our food expeditor, David, was so genuinely warm and personable that by the time he left the table, it felt like we'd known him for years. Restaurants can teach hospitality, but that kind of kindness is simply who some people are. My only tiny suggestion: please turn on the patio misters during these triple-digit California afternoons. The food was keeping us warm emotionally; the weather was handling the rest. And on the way out we let Christine know the carpets at the entrances needed a vacuum. Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful views, and an atmosphere that keeps drawing us back. Cork Fire Kitchen has once again reminded us why it's one of our favorite places to dine. Bravo to the entire team!
