Stumbled upon this little Mexican joint while we were staying at the Holiday Inn in Temucla. For a hole in the wall Mexican joint, Vero simply has it all. From ice cream to burritos, it's a more vast menu than one would think. We were pretty hungry coming in put definitely got our portions worth. I went with the two tacos and they were massive. One taco is filling enough here. But it did taste amazing and is worth having again. The servers are nice and frequently checked in when we needed them to. The $2 charge for chips is a bit absurd but oh well. A spot like Vero would be my go-to easy / affordable Mexican hub. It's pretty cheap and you can get a lot for what you paid for. Yum.

Carne Asada Burrito ordered on first visit

We have experienced problems on our last 3 visits after my initial review of Vero's Mexican and Seafood Restaurant. This has led to me revising my Yelp score from 4 stars to 2 stars. Main problem stems from poor food quality and lack of following through with requests. On delivery orders they have failed to provide hot sauce with each order. We have requested it on our orders but it is never in the bag. Try eating a dry fish taco with no white sauce and only some crappy red sauce they put on. Also, all tostadas ordered have come soggy and they have used chopped lettuce and not shredded lettuce. So bad my wife tossed hers and made her dinner with chips we had at home. My last carne asada burrito was very greasy and without salsa, not so good. There is only so much blame you can pin on the delivery service. This poor quality and lack of following through with customers request falls on Vero's. As they say in the big leagues "three strikes and you are out".

The food is really good! The asada has great flavor! I recommend this place of business.

Whenever I'm in Temecula, only 2 places I go to for some really good Mexican food. One of them is Vero's. Discovered them 6 years ago and the standard changed, the bar is higher. They always make anything I order very satisfying. My mini cabeza tacos and buche tacos are so flavorful. Also love their open salsa bar, best green salsa around. Hot carrots and peppers on the side are so good as well. They have a very big menu and everything I've ordered in the past are 5 stars. Service here is always good. The sisters run the place. They also give their younger family members the opportunity to work in the restaurant. The place is clean, always have diners and they have happy hour. People are friendly.

I was introduced to the restaurant by an acquaintance stating that it's where you find traditional home cooked Mexican food devoid of western influences. No bells, whistles, picturesque presentations, just tasty basic cuisine and reasonable prices. This was my second visit and I selected a different entree, to further investigate the establishment. The tacos were delicious and the beans and Spanish rice were quite tasty as well. Customer service is really good, and the takeout packaging was good. Will continue to visit on occasion. read more

Just ordered carne asada and eggs burrito, ham breakfast burrito, Grande breakfast burrito, and a pastor quesadilla to go right when they opened. The lady was friendly and welcomed me in right at 8am and took my order. Everyone enjoyed their food and mentioned how the burritos were too big to finish at one go. We don't go out as much as before but this is one of my Go-to's for Mexican food when we're in this area. Just a heads up, the menu in the yelp photos are accurate. They do need to update their website pricing. read more

I almost always get takeout and delivery from this place instead of dining in. I like that the restaurant itself has a salsa bar, and also that I can buy 8oz containers of their salsas for a good price. I generally have a standard order of a bean tostada and a mini taco. Today I decided to be different and order chicken enchiladas. Wow, they were great! Everything I've had here has been excellent! read more

We were going to an event at the Temecula Sports Lounge and we were early so took a chance and tried Vero's...wow, very pleased with the food. I had carinitas, my wife had chile verde and our friends had the fish tacos. Everyone enjoyed their food, portions were good and pricing matched the portions. The service was very friendly and the ambiance was very comfortable. Try it, I believe you will like this place. read more

I haven't eaten at Vero's for a while, but I used to get to go lunch there and really enjoyed it. I ordered a chile relleno burrito with ranchero sauce on top, to go, and asked for a couple chips which they used to give you free. The girl told me it would cost $2.50. If you eat there you get free chips but if you have a to go order you don't. It would only cost them 30 cents to throw in a few chips and when you pay $18.00 for a burrito it is the least they could do. This is the first time I have not left a tip for To Go food at a restaurant like this. Also, the ranchero sauce was very watery so not real flavorful. I will not eat there again. read more

My quest for the best Carne Asada burrito in Murrieta/Temecula brought me here after reading other reviews saying they had good CA Burritos. For me a CAB begins and ends with the meat. Most places don't season their carne and it ruins the burrito. Vero's carne was well seasoned and very good. It carried the burrito. I ordered my burrito with no pico because I prefer green salsa, so it came with meat and guacamole only. She told me that the guacamole has tomato, onions and cilantro in it but it didn't matter because I never saw any guacamole in my burrito. What a disappointment. The burrito was a good size for the price. I'm giving Vero's 3 stars because of the lack of guacamole and terrible table service. I had to wait almost 10 minutes to get the server to bring my check. I think she went on a break. I will also say this was the best CAB in Temecula so far for me and better than all of the shops in Murrieta ( I have tried them all). Los Jilbertos on Clinton Keith in Wildomar is still my favorite because they are consistent with the flavor of their carne. read more

This is probably the best, most flavorful Mexican food I've had out here in the Murrieta/Temecula area. Their service is good and the ambiance is ok, nothing spectacular but I would keep coming back for the food. I've had about four different dishes here and they all have been filling and flavorful. Today I got the wet (green) carne asada and egg breakfast burrito and it's the best breakfast burrito I've had. Had to finally give a review. I got full and only ate half. read more

We got the Machaca breakfast burrito and eggs w/ bacon and sausage. It was the worst breakfast we've ever been subjected to. I love crispy, kinda burned bacon but this stuff was dehydrated. The bacon was ashier than a call girl's knees. I went and got a COVID test after eating the machaca burrito because it literally had no flavor. read more

Food was delicious but service was terrible. Waited 20 minutes for someone to give us the check, they were all huddled by their tv in the back watching Telemundo (the show looked good tbh but come on). We had to go up to them and ask for the check. The table next to us was given a refill on their chips multiple times, we sat with empty chips for 30 minutes while we waited for our food (was still not given more chips). A young waitress was mopping the table right next to us and it smelled like such heavy chemicals that I almost passed out. It sucks bc we've been going here for years. What happened? read more

Today was the first time we tried this restaurant and was so impressed with the food!!! Since Covid, my husband and I have only been able to order curbside since we both have underlying health issues. Disappointedly, our favorite Taco Tuesday and other Mexican food restaurants do not offer curbside (just take out). Now, let's get to the food part of this review. ...The food is AMAZING!!! I ordered a beef taco and my husband a carne asada burrito (and added fries). We both love the authentic taste and SO DELICIOUS!!! Thanks to Covid we have now found our permanent Mexican restaurant (we have lived here for 23yrs). Additionally, the customer service was wonderful, friendly and willing to put the food in our trunk. The quality of food has gone down substantially! The last time I was in there I saw a cockroach on the floor heading towards the kitchen!!! I let the staff know and they did not seem shocked, and took their time attending to the matter! I will never go there again! read more

The waitress stated that they can't substitute? I'm not substituting anything. Just don't add it. The "manager" came over and said we can't substitute? I stated I'm not substituting anything, just don't want cheese or sour cream. He said since they're busy cause of cinco de mayo they can't do it which tells me they can't handle a large amount of customers and there food they make in the back there cooks are auto pilot and get devate from the normal operation. We have been here before and "NEVER" had a problem with the way we ordered but today was an issue which tells me things are difficult especially if busy. We will not be back cause it was just a simple request and they couldn't fulfill that. We went over to Rosa's and tortilla factory which is down the street and it was good and "much cheaper ". I will never recommend Guadalajara to anyone anymore cause they couldn't handle a simple request.

The carnitas however were magnificent topped with pickled onions, cilantro, and salsa. The rice was not traditional Mexican rice and did have a bit of a crunch to it rather than a toast before cooking. The beans were just plain pinto beans, not refried beans, but they were good. While this place, is not extremely traditional, it is a great spot in Old Town Temecula with fairly good food. I'm looking forward to coming back again.

hello Yelpers I just wanted to say that their are two individuals a male and female that are going around leaving bad reviews about Veros, and are leaving reviews that are not true. and only because they are upset because they could not understand what a coupon said. they will be saying they got sick or kids got sick! Veros is well known for the cleanness and fresh Food. They have been open for 6 years and not once have they had anyone get sick. They are very open to any review, good or bad. but not when they are just left to try to get back, or because they are upset. To Veros customers are first and will make any possible way to make any customer Happy, but not when the customer is being disrespectful to the owners, workers and to others customers! please be careful and read other reviews, Veros is aware that they will continue to TRY and do harm, because its not the first time they go in and complain about something. I went there with my family and the food was cold, the restaurant was dirty, the bathrooms were sick disgusting, customer service below average. They had a advertising coupon for buy one get one free on the coupon book, when we gave them the coupon, the owner said that was only good for Mexican ice cream. Right away she started to scream and did not honor the coupon, like we were asking her for a favor. If, I wanted ice cream, I would go to Cold Stone, not to a dirty Mexican restaurant. At the end the owner was trying to humiliate us saying not to come back again. Don't worry I will never go back to that dirty and over priced Mexican restaurant, neither my family or friends. The Mexican food here is so authentic it'll make you sick to you're stomach. Food cart status. I've ordered a bean/cheese burrito here that smelled like fish (they offer fish dishes) and on multiple occasions they've overcharged me. Some of their food is okay, but quite a few places are much better for the price. Unfortunately for me it's the only food place right next to my work so if I'm hungry that's what I have to get. EDIT - It seems like they've recently fixed quite a few of the issues I mentioned, no more weird burritos and I haven't been overcharged as of late! I'm much happier with their food and I changed my review to 4 stars. Thanks for fixing the issues I mentioned, veros! read more

I was craving for a Breakfast Burrito and decided to give this place a try. I got the Breakfast Burrito Grande and it was Da Bomb!!! One of the best Breakfast Burritos I've ever had. They also have a salsa bar where you can pack as many salsas as you want, and that's a big thing for me! I don't like places that will skimp on the pico de gallo and salsa. Dry Burritos Suck! I have also had their Carne Asada Fries and they were awesome too!!! Will be back to this place! read more
