Had the "Taco Salad". It is a vegan recipe that is better than any other salad I have ever tasted.

I've already been to this place 3 times since I found out it opened. Excellent cocktails, wine list and healthy delicious lunch. I've had the mushroom soup, beet salad and tuna salad sandwich so far. Can't wait to go back for their pizza and brunch. Friendly, sweet bartenders at the beautiful outside bar. Also very excited for the gourmet market to open next door. read more

So many great dining options in Naples. This is not one of them. If you like barking dogs and being ignored by servers, maybe this is your place! We first came to Food and Thought 2 for lunch. The patio is spacious and welcoming. A lot of the tables are in the sun, so beware. We were seated by a not-so-friendly host and then turned over to a server who seemed overwhelmed, even though the place was near empty. Our beet salads were good, but nothing special. Prices were moderate. Server proceeded to ignore us once we were served. Getting the check was a process and they had the nerve to highlight a 25% tip option. Decided to give them a second chance and went tonight to listen to music and have dinner. We gave our name and was told there was a 15 min wait for outdoor table. Many of the patio tables were out of service, but we were told the servers were overwhelmed. No problem, we will wait 15-20 and listen to music by the lovely fire pit. After 30 min, I went to check on table. They were clearly overwhelmed but we were seated shortly after I asked. We were given iPad menus promptly, and then ignored for 10 min. Finally a server asked if we wanted drinks. We said we were ready to order. She showed us her arm in a sling and said sorry, she couldn't take menu orders because she can't write. I felt sorry for her because she seemed to be busting her butt, but only had one arm/hand to use. She said someone else will be right over. 10 minutes later another server came by and said the same thing. Meanwhile, I watched a server take someone's order while she talked above two glasses of wine, getting warm on her tray. Gross. And watched two ladies enjoying a bottle of wine while ignoring their barking dog. After being at the restaurant an hour and still no food/drinks, we got up and drove to Mercato where we were served promptly at a lovely restaurant. Managers need to hire enough staff; then train them. Manage customer expectations better and don't have tables open that you can't service. Hope they get their act together because it's a lovely venue; but we won't be giving them a third chance. read more

Has a fresh open feeling with friendly staff and a shrimp/grits appetizer that could serve as a meal and is the tastiest I've ever had!

Amazing! Been here for brunch/lunch and for dinner and it was shockingly excellent both times. Had the croissant brunch sandwich and the shaved ribeye sandwich with the air dried potato wedges. Soooo good. All the people with whom I dined loved their food also. The outdoor dining area is delightful and the live music was not too loud and enjoyable. I love how everything is organic. This is my favorite spot so far in Naples that I found (been trying expensive places that all disappoint to a degree; super happy with here!). Recommend 100% and look forward to returning to dine in and take out. Happy it exists! Even the wine by glass we ordered was pleasing. read more

HOLY MOLY. SIMON WAS THE BEST server ever. So sweet, kind, informative, and really made our night. He explained the food and the beverages well and has a bright future ahead of him. The food was amazing, the drinks were the bomb dot com, and the gluten free pizza. Where do I even start. The Allie's Pie was stupendous. Feels like the old Calastoga...without all the food choices. Food is grossly over priced. Electronic menus ugh! Electronic checks are even worse. The waitress comes to the table and tells you what your bill is. Then hands you this electronic card swipe gadget and hovers over you while your trying to look at your check and figure out if they even deserve a tip!! Serve needs improvement. This is not another winner for Alfie!! Was a expensive, lousy experience! Will never go back!! read more

We've been to Food and Thought several times and have had mostly a nice experience. We were there tonight and it was not so nice. We ordered two entrees - the shaved ribs-eye ( very good) and the taco salad (only four tortilla chips, more would have been welcome). We also ordered the grouper bites as an appetizer. The entrees came before the appetizer! We told the waitress about it and she blamed the kitchen. No apologies, no nothing! She gave us our bill - which was not our bill. She found the correct bill set it on the table and scooted off. Again no apologies. She may have been new, so I hope she reads this and maybe learns from it. read more

Ordered a burger, medium rare. Got a very small, over cooked, dry, no taste piece of meat. My wife had a fish sandwich which was over cooked. Mor importantly it is extremely overpriced. I am not difficult to please but this was awful. read more

I had an appointment at regions bank at 1pm. It was 11:50 when I seen the Food & Thought restaurant right across. I was starving so I decided to check it out. I walked in and was greeted by a lady with a beautiful smile didn't get her name. I told her I've never been so she asked inside or out since it was a bit chilly I said inside. She took me to a small table and handed me a tablet with the menu. I looked through it and it looked appetizing. I'm very simple. I was then greeted by my server Roberto. He brought me water and asked if I needed anything else to drink. I ordered the cappuccino with oat milk and I told him I knew what I wanted to eat. I got the croissant sandwich I added turkey sausage to it and paired it with hash browns. My food got to my table before the cappuccino but I did not mind at all. I split my sandwich and half and devoured it. It was so delicious! Every bite I took was sooo yummy. I couldn't finish it all. So I took the other small half with me. Before leaving I decided to try out the Kickstart my heart cocktail and that as well was very tasting and flavorful. The service was good and I will be coming back again! Thank you read more

I have eaten here a half dozen times. The food is good but I have problems with the service. First, the bartender is not very attentive. An empty glass should be a strong signal to ask the customer if he wants another drink. But since the bartenders never look at the customer they have no idea that the customer wants another drink. Second the appetizer comes out within a moment. Is it sitting in the kitchen waiting for someone to order it? Third, the entree comes out of the kitchen while I'm just starting the appetizer. I feel rushed. How fast can they turbo over my seat? A very disappointing performance by the staff! read more

Super disappointed. Pizza was terrible. There is a mismatch between pricing and quality. I realize it is difficult to find employees, much less train them, but I think they have been in business long enough now to ensure well prepared food. Moreover, it is difficult to ruin a pizza. read more

Food was very good. Service was not. Four people eating and only three meals came out. No explanation to where or when the forth meal would come out. Asked a hostess, with her arm in a sling, if she could check on where the forth meal was after 8-10 minutes and she basically told us she couldn't be bothered and walked away! Finally the waiter showed up and he went looking for the forth dish and found it sitting at the kitchen window. He delivered it and it was cold, just like the other three that sat on the table waiting for a complete order. No apologies, no discount offered. We just ate our cold meals and then waited another 15 minutes for the bill after we were done. They need a sign that says "Good food, lousy service" then I'd know what to expect. read more

I had high hopes as I LOVE the market on 41. I suggested a friend and I meet for lunch 6/21/22. My Caesar salad had croutons that were like stones and the parmesan was just grated with zero flavor. Overall a very average dish that you would get at a hospital cafeteria. I went back by myself today to give it another try, and sat at the bar because I love the concept and really wanted to like it. Service was very nice and I ordered the Brie grilled cheese with a nice glass of wine. I envisioned a nice in house roasted turkey as it was $17.00, but when it arrived it was a scant amount of thin sliced DELI meat! I wasn't going to say anything and just chalk it up as another negative experience.. But the manager came by (very nice man) and asked so I did say I was expecting something more than deli sliced lunch meat. He took it away and I ordered the fish sandwich based on the bartender recommendation. I could smell it before it was even placed in front of me! It was "fishy" and very bland. I wrapped it up to bring home for my pups. French fries are very hard to mess up but the kitchen managed to prepare them to the point of black ash (they're air fried which is a great concept) and then tossed them in an oil mix that was pungent. Its very hard to kill a French fry in my opinion, but they did a good job. Since going, I have talked to a couple locals and friends that have had a similar experience. The service is very nice and the atmosphere is great, but without good food it's a hard no. I really wanted to love it! read more

We were very excited to try this place since we love the first one. Waited so long to try and didn't even sit down. There were 2 hostesses. One was already on the phone when we arrived and the other acted like she didn't even want to be there or do her job. The hostess was rude right from the start. Didn't even acknowledge the customers in front of her, answered the questions home without even looking at the people waiting to be seated. She finally acknowledges us by saying "how many?" Not "hi. Sorry for the wait. How many are in your party?" It was just "how many?" With a blank stare. No smile no nothing. I had my service dog with me. Because he's not in a vest we had to be seated in the pet area. We argued for minute. She wasn't worth my time and energy because I knew she was going to do anything to make sure no one was enjoying their day since she wasn't. We left and that was that. No change was really don't to the restaurant itself from when it was Founders for it to be shut down for "remodeling". Not sure if I even will try again after seeing the other reviews. Sad that this place is worse than their first place. read more

We returned to Food & Thought 2 last night and had a great evening! Everyone was upbeat & very accommodating. Even our sweet little therapy dog was accepted.
