This place is a combination of a grocery store and a food court, with a variety of ready-to-serve dishes, plus a menu you can order from. We ordered a plain dosa and Irani chai. I liked the flavor of the dosa and sambar, but it would've been much better if it was hot. It seemed like it had been microwaved--part of it was lukewarm while the rest was cold, and the dosa was soggy. The Irani chai, on the other hand, was enjoyable. It was my first time trying it, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I found it very milky and sweet--which I liked. Since it's a food court setup, there isn't much in terms of service. You order at the counter, pick up your food on the other side, and drop off your tray at a designated spot when you're done.

It's a big restaurant/food court & grocery store. Food court also has lot seating. We went for quick snacks. What I really liked was the variety of menu , it has a lot of different option from south-indian food to Indo-Chinese (indian-Chinese fusion) to north-indian food. You can come here for groceries , order your food, do the grocery and pick up your dinner. Another thing which I liked was the beverage option. We tried the Irani chai and it was good. Few things I didn't liked was it was too loud inside. They can focus on cleaning the tables as well, because it's an open seating arrangement and they get busy, sometimes you see tables are not clean. I ordered Dosa, the taste was excellent but it was served cold, Dosa is always served hot. I can try to-go next time or sit at outdoors to try different food options.

    Human Hair in the food
    Harish R.

UNCLEAN FOOD - BAD SERVICE - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I noticed HUMAN HAIR in my food and I received no acknowledgement of their issue or an apology but was told the hair may have fallen because someone didn't wear a hairnet. The first thing the manager did was take the plate away from me to do an inquiry, throw the food in trash and came to give me an explanation on why there was hair in my food. The manager stood there with a disbelief on how to proceed further. I had to firmly ask that I be refunded my food cost and had to leave without being able to continue to eat because i lost the appetite and was frustrated with the service. The front staff had no clue on what food they are ready with and they sold me breakfast when they had no Sambar. We had to wait 25 mins for the Sambar and that too it had hair. I also ordered parotta which didn't come even after 30 minutes into my order and this was when the restaurant had not more than 3 tables dining in and eating. It seems like the place is buzzing but the folks there are inefficiently running around without any operating procedures. Suggestion to management 1. Please train your managers on how to handle situations like this, the easiest thing is to apologize, proactively offer to comp the meals and/or replace them. 2. Whatever may be, we don't need reasons for bad quality food. All we need is acknowledgment and respecting the customer's discomfort. 3.Train the front register staff folks need to be updated/trained on what the kitchen has, basically they are blindly taking orders and stressing out the kitchen and the staff.

i want this place to thrive. i usuallu come here for the breakfast buffet on the weekends. today i came for a samosa chat togo i am yet to taste it but i just got it and i was disappointed with the quantity. see the pic. for $8 i was given such a little quantity you may think if its the price of the goods thats driving up the price. i know its not. so dear owners. do not cringe on the quantity. ambience is clean and spacious.

This is THE BEST donut shop we've been to in a very long time. The donut and coffee selection is very impressive, to say the least. They also have breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, smoothies, milkshakes. The list is long. We tried an apple fritter, a croissants sandwich, a bagel sandwich and breakfast tacos. We also got a lavender latte and an americano. Everything was made fresh and we were all very pleased. The decor is on point. Old cartoons play on silent with pleasant soft music playing at exactly the right volume. The team is very pleasant seems very happy. It's also super clean. Oh! Another bonus: They have a few games. My husband and I ordered two iced vanilla lattes with almond milk, and both drinks were difficult to drink. The espresso tasted very burnt and overly acidic, and one latte was especially watered down due to having very little ice. We ended up throwing both away, which was disappointing after spending around $15. As people who genuinely love coffee and enjoy supporting local cafes, we don't expect perfection, but we do expect some consistency and care in preparation. Hoping this was just an off day, because the space and reviews made us really want to love it.

I ordered the Bad Ass Bacon & Eggs plate. It came with thick-cut bacon, 2 eggs, hash brown casserole, wheat toast, and smoked salsa. Bacon - 9/10 This wasn't your average thin breakfast bacon. Thick-cut, almost pork belly style, with killer flavor and very meaty. Eggs - 9/10 Cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. Simple, but done right. Hash Brown Casserole - 8/10 Different than what I expected, but in a good way. Unique flavor and a great addition to the plate. Salsa - 7/10 Very homemade style salsa with a smoky flavor. Different, but really good. Atmosphere - 9/10 Loved the vibe. Cozy atmosphere, great music, and just an overall comfortable place to sit and enjoy breakfast. If this place was closer to home, I'd eat here often. Service - 10/10 Excellent service. Christy H. was friendly, attentive, and on point the whole time. I'm kicking myself that I've missed out on the last 5 years! So obviously this is my first time in. I walked in, not knowing what to expect. A lady behind the bar made eye contact with me, greeted me & said sit wherever you want. A lot of tables were taken. There were a couple open, But I'm solo, so I sat up at the bar. Another lady came over and started chatting with me like we were old friends, which I love. God Bless Texas! She was telling me everything is good, you're not going to be disappointed. Burgers are fabulous. And so on. Once she said waffles, I was in! She wondered off cleaning and helping other patrons. I looked over the menu, saw chicken and waffles. I was sold! A young man came over and asked if I had a drink in mind. I said yes. Mexican Coke. Would you believe I've never had Mexican Coke before. It's true. This was my first, right here at Texas Toast Breakfast and Burgers. Memories being made. To be honest, I don't drink soda much at all. I also said I was ready with my food order too. Chicken and waffles. He said good choice, it's a big Texas shaped waffle (love it) with a big piece of fried chicken. He put my order in and gave me my Coke in a bottle. No fountain type drink. Felt like an 80's Coke commercial with a real glass bottle. Feeling fancy. Since I'm solo, I put my ear phones in and listened to my own music. A little Lenny Kravitz, American Women, if you're interested in what I was listening to. My plate came out, and Oh ! My ! Word !!! Chicken & waffle big as my plate. I nearly cried, gasped, unbelievable! Seriously, this was a solid breakfast, and now I'm really bummed I've missed out for 5 years! I joined the clean plate club even though I was completely stuffed. Chicken was tender, juicy, hot and fried perfectly. Light crispy, not greasy. So, so good. The waffle was light & fluffy, but once I smeared the butter on it and soaked it with syrup, I put the chicken back on top of the waffle and cut away at both. Solid breakfast. Completely epic. Enjoyed every bite. Was in my own little world with my music and good food and an amazing Mexican soda. The service, way top notch. I felt like family. The young man that took my order, Alvaro M, totally chill with me, we talked a little about ourselves. And that I never knew this was here even though I drive by on 620 for work. Truly, great service. As a solo diner, it's nice to have human contact. Even though I had my ear phones in 1 ear, so I could still hear and interact. Had the best service, food, interaction. Couldn't have asked for a better first impression. Can't wait to come back. Parking lot is pretty large. So you shouldn't have a problem finding a place. This seems like an off the beat residential neighborhood with a lot of RV parks, and boat launching area. Like I said, hidden gem!

But hey, the outdoor seating is lovely, so problem solved! Here's where things get a little greasy--literally. First Watch proudly markets itself as a champion of fresh, whole ingredients and quality cooking. I've been a fan for exactly that reason. But on my most recent visit, something was... off. The food had this noticeably greasier quality, and I'm pretty confident they switched to a cheaper cooking oil (canola or similar vegetable oil, if I had to guess). For context: certain oils don't agree with me--they trigger migraines and general unwellness. And sure enough, within hours, I was both nauseous and nursing a headache. Not exactly the "fresh start" First Watch promises. Everything else was solid, but I can't give five stars when a restaurant's practice doesn't match its principles. If you're sensitive to oils or generally avoid the cheaper varieties, proceed with caution or ask about their current cooking oil before ordering anything fried or sautéed. Still love the concept--just hoping they get back to their roots (and better oils).
