Thoroughly impressed by the modern decor, spacious seating and cleanliness at Foodistan. It is refreshing when many Indian restaurants in the area are a hole in the wall. We had a large family lunch here, with ghee roast dosa, rava dosa, egg dosa, idli, bonda, biryani for main course and blackforest pastry, royal falooda for dessert. Everything was freshly made, dosas were crispy and delicious. Bondas were oily but also tasty. Royal falooda was truly royal with the perfect blend of dry fruits, tutti fruity, vermicelli and ice cream. It took a while for our large order to be prepared and everything is self service. The grocery adjacent to the restaurant is a good way to get done with shopping while your food is being prepared.

This place is a combination of a grocery store and a food court, with a variety of ready-to-serve dishes, plus a menu you can order from. We ordered a plain dosa and Irani chai. I liked the flavor of the dosa and sambar, but it would've been much better if it was hot. It seemed like it had been microwaved--part of it was lukewarm while the rest was cold, and the dosa was soggy. The Irani chai, on the other hand, was enjoyable. It was my first time trying it, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but I found it very milky and sweet--which I liked. Since it's a food court setup, there isn't much in terms of service. You order at the counter, pick up your food on the other side, and drop off your tray at a designated spot when you're done.

It's a big restaurant/food court & grocery store. Food court also has lot seating. We went for quick snacks. What I really liked was the variety of menu , it has a lot of different option from south-indian food to Indo-Chinese (indian-Chinese fusion) to north-indian food. You can come here for groceries , order your food, do the grocery and pick up your dinner. Another thing which I liked was the beverage option. We tried the Irani chai and it was good. Few things I didn't liked was it was too loud inside. They can focus on cleaning the tables as well, because it's an open seating arrangement and they get busy, sometimes you see tables are not clean. I ordered Dosa, the taste was excellent but it was served cold, Dosa is always served hot. I can try to-go next time or sit at outdoors to try different food options.

    Human Hair in the food
    Harish R.

UNCLEAN FOOD - BAD SERVICE - BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I noticed HUMAN HAIR in my food and I received no acknowledgement of their issue or an apology but was told the hair may have fallen because someone didn't wear a hairnet. The first thing the manager did was take the plate away from me to do an inquiry, throw the food in trash and came to give me an explanation on why there was hair in my food. The manager stood there with a disbelief on how to proceed further. I had to firmly ask that I be refunded my food cost and had to leave without being able to continue to eat because i lost the appetite and was frustrated with the service. The front staff had no clue on what food they are ready with and they sold me breakfast when they had no Sambar. We had to wait 25 mins for the Sambar and that too it had hair. I also ordered parotta which didn't come even after 30 minutes into my order and this was when the restaurant had not more than 3 tables dining in and eating. It seems like the place is buzzing but the folks there are inefficiently running around without any operating procedures. Suggestion to management 1. Please train your managers on how to handle situations like this, the easiest thing is to apologize, proactively offer to comp the meals and/or replace them. 2. Whatever may be, we don't need reasons for bad quality food. All we need is acknowledgment and respecting the customer's discomfort. 3.Train the front register staff folks need to be updated/trained on what the kitchen has, basically they are blindly taking orders and stressing out the kitchen and the staff.

i want this place to thrive. i usuallu come here for the breakfast buffet on the weekends. today i came for a samosa chat togo i am yet to taste it but i just got it and i was disappointed with the quantity. see the pic. for $8 i was given such a little quantity you may think if its the price of the goods thats driving up the price. i know its not. so dear owners. do not cringe on the quantity. ambience is clean and spacious.

This is THE BEST donut shop we've been to in a very long time. The donut and coffee selection is very impressive, to say the least. They also have breakfast sandwiches, breakfast tacos, smoothies, milkshakes. The list is long. We tried an apple fritter, a croissants sandwich, a bagel sandwich and breakfast tacos. We also got a lavender latte and an americano. Everything was made fresh and we were all very pleased. The decor is on point. Old cartoons play on silent with pleasant soft music playing at exactly the right volume. The team is very pleasant seems very happy. It's also super clean. Oh! Another bonus: They have a few games. My husband and I ordered two iced vanilla lattes with almond milk, and both drinks were difficult to drink. The espresso tasted very burnt and overly acidic, and one latte was especially watered down due to having very little ice. We ended up throwing both away, which was disappointing after spending around $15. As people who genuinely love coffee and enjoy supporting local cafes, we don't expect perfection, but we do expect some consistency and care in preparation. Hoping this was just an off day, because the space and reviews made us really want to love it.

I'm now immediately put off because what kinda flavor yall have on your food to where sweet and savory don't go together. So we ordered masala chai, the mango lassi smoothie, breakfast potatoes and bacon. The chai and smoothie were both very disappointing. I love masala chai and drink it often enough to know that this chai tasted heavily watered down even thought it was freshly made. The smoothie didn't taste like mango at all, it tasted like mostly like nothing with a side of banana and oats. I wish they had the ingredients on the menu because my man wouldn't have ordered it if he knew there were bananas in it. The breakfast potatoes were pretty good after adding salt and pepper and the bacon was the best thing out of what we got. It was flavorful. Overall, not impressed with this place.

This time I decided to try their matcha- it comes topped with a chocolate pistachios cream (this was a bit too much for me, my daughter liked it) and the matcha was also too sweet for me, but very flavorful. For our main dish I ordered the shrimp and grits, and my daughter ordered biscuits and gravy. My dish had 4 small shrimp (which I ate) a lot of anduille sausage bits, and a lot of flavorful sauce over these soupy cheesy grits that was not what I expected. It was served as a "soup" with a spoon. There was some toasted bread on the side of the bowl. While everything was very flavorful, I did not like the soupy consistence, it was unexpected for me. My daughter's biscuits and gravy, on the other hand, needed more gravy... she liked the dish but she felt her gravy was too little for the serving. Then she also ordered a half order (1) pancake with cinamon roll French toast and we took that home. It had good flavor! Overall, I enjoyed the food, the flavors were good, the prices have definitely gone up a LOT. 3 stars for good flavor as expected- but I was not "blown away"... but yes of course I would come again! While it was a bit of a far drive, it was well worth it to have breakfast at Texas Toast Breakfast and Burgers with these friends. Our server was friendly and immediately offered us water. She gave us adequate time to place our orders and checked on us pretty frequently. She was attentive while also giving us the right amount of space. Why do this neighborhood café have a 4.8 rating? Hands the food! I grew up eating (and later making) really good chicken fried steak. So I didn't come in casual. I came in ready to evaluate. First things first: this spot is tucked into a strip mall, and if you're not paying attention, you'll drive right past it. Keep your eyes open. Walking in, though? Completely different story. The vibe is laid-back, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. We were greeted right away and told to sit wherever we liked. Midday on a Wednesday meant it was nice and quiet; no wait, no chaos. Drinks were simple - Mexican Coke for me (always a win), fountain Pepsi for my lunchmate. (it's always nice when they have both options) We both ordered the chicken fried steak because of course we did. That's what brought us here. Sides: Me: green beans + mashed potatoes Them: salad + mashed potatoes Gravy situation: Me: classic Them: chorizo gravy Food came out quickly, which I always appreciate. Let's break it down honestly: The breading on the chicken fried steak? Perfection. Crispy, well done, exactly what you want. The meat itself? That's where things fell short. It needed more tenderizing--cutting into it took effort, and the texture leaned dense and chewy instead of that tender, fork-friendly bite you're hoping for. On top of that, it was missing seasoning, which made the whole thing feel a little flat despite that beautiful crust. The chorizo gravy (per my lunchmate)? Solid. Good flavor. But even that couldn't fully make up for the lack of seasoning in the meat. Sides were a mixed bag. Flavor was there--but mine had noticeable cold spots, like they'd been reheated unevenly. My lunchmate's sides were warm, but not quite hot. Now here's where they win big: The service. Top notch across the board. Everyone was kind, attentive, and welcoming without hovering. The owner even came by to chat for a bit - super friendly, clearly passionate, and we genuinely enjoyed the conversation and hearing about the food. That kind of hospitality goes a long way. Overall? I'd come back. But next time, I'm switching it up. The owner confidently recommended the waffles, and after that conversation, I'm willing to give them a shot. Because while the chicken fried steak didn't quite hit the mark for me this time, the people and the atmosphere? Absolutely worth another visit.
