IMHO Whenever I'm cruising Lincoln Ave. in Willow Glen, I always drop into Footwear Etc. to check out new styles of my favorite Vionic sandals. The one pair of black Vionic Tide sandals that I wanted, had a slight cosmetic defect. They didn't have another size 6 in black, so I asked Eva if it could be special ordered for me. Since I didn't want to pay shipping, the sandals would be shipped to the store for pick-up. (In the past, if the order was placed in-store, the shoes would be shipped to your home for free. Times have changed.) Before I even got home from my day out, I received an email from Footwear Etc. stating that my sandals were ready for pick-up!!! Thankfully I waited a few days before deciding to pick them up, because I received an email from Footwear Etc. with a "$10 birthday reward" to redeem! I called the store to make sure my order was in, and that I intended to "return" my new sandals and re-purchase them utilizing my $10 reward. No problem! Thanks, Chris! May 19, 2026 Tuesday: I bought a New Balance at the Great Mall yesterday for about $149. It was very comfortable for someone like me who had a back surgery 5 months ago. This morning, I asked a gentleman at the Dollar Store if I can take a photo of his shoes. It looked very cool and comfortable. He said it is Hoka and he gave me the name of the store where he bought it: Footwear, etc (Willow Glen). They have a store in Los Gatos as well. In Willow Glen, they have that machine that measures pressure points of your feet. It helps identify challenges you may have with your feet as far as walking, comfort, etc. Sarah was very helpful. She brought me 5 different pairs of shoes and patiently helped me wear them, tying and untying the laces. I told her I can do it but she was very kind. She explained to me the different features of each pair of shoe until we were able to identified the top 2 choices. When testing the shoes (inside the store), I noticed that 2 pairs allowed me to walk normally without pain (which I have not experienced in the last 3 years or so). Even after my back (sciatica) surgery in December, I still feel discomfort and pain. With the Hoka shoes on, I felt my walk was so normal. And, for about $20 more than the New Balance, I am getting a very comfortable and reliable and very scientifically produced pair of shoes. On top of that, their designs are very cool and modern. This has been my go-to shoe store for quite a few years. I like that they have orthotic shoes in appealing styles. I've reached the point in my life where I will only wear comfy, supportive shoes, which for me usually means slides, clogs, or sandals. Recently stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. There were a few other customers in the shop, but it wasn't too crowded. I was greeted right away by a friendly staff member who then gave me space to look around without feeling pressured. When I was ready to try on a pair of shoes, the staff member was quick to help me and had a kind, positive attitude. I ended up buying a pair of sandals from my favorite brand, Vionic. After the staff member looked me up in the system, I received a small unexpected discount and was told I reached some sort of milestone with my purchases and would receive a discount of I think $20 off the next time I buy shoes. I've been here for a while now! However after being more active than I previously was I decided to come here to buy some new shoes! I was recommended HOKA and Brooks! The service here is absolutely exceptional! Mae and Charisse have gone above and beyond every time I come in by myself or with friends or family! I would highly suggest coming in and if you're lucky enough you'll have one of them to help you and provide outstanding service! The value here is better than others as the competitor stores on the Willow Glen strip are more expensive since they don't have sales! They picked out exactly the shoes I wanted in the style I wanted at the perfect fit, with the perfect comfort, I have planter faciitis and back problems, hip problems, as well as a bone spur in my heel and they still found the perfect shoes. So I typically never leave reviews but I wanted to make it a point to let everyone know what an amazing experience I had today with Cecilia the store manager. I had purchase some new Hokas a little more then a week ago and the fit was just to tight When I brought them back I had no receipt or box and that didn't matter. Cecilia was able to locate my receipt with my phone number and it only got better from there on. She was so patient with me and made sure I was happy with the new size of the replacement I can't say enough good things about the store and Manager I will definitely recommend the store to all my friends and hopefully upper management will commend Cecilia. I've always been a Nike gal. I've tried UA and even NB but I've never invested in a pair of real running shoes. Maybe because I don't see myself as a runner. I do cardio to increase my caloric deficit and I try to sweat when I don't have time to go to the gym either by walking, doing the stairs, or light jogging. My pace is similar to a turtle. Anyway. I've been in a real funk for the past 2 years. I have a very stressful job, but a very good job so complaining helps but I've let it cloud over me for all this time. I recently got back to the gym (both lifting and running) and have taken up running outside, too. Between my Nikes and NBs, I cannot say enough good things about the pair that I purchased from here. I saw it online and was able to reserve a pair: Hoka Bondi 7 (wide). I received email confirmation and a phone call to confirm that they're on hold. I came in to a very organized store, busy, and w/ friendly and helpful staff. I tried on the right pair but was advised to try them both on to make sure it fits right. The gentleman helping me that day told me that if I wear it around the house for 30 days (or less) and don't like the way it fits, I can return them. That's an amazing store policy but I was eager to put them on and go for a run the following day. I will be back this weekend to get another pair. Great service. I was window shopping in downtown Willow Glen and stumbled upon a shoe store. I was greeted by a sales associate immediately (something you don't get at other stores these days). I happened to be on the look out for new sneakers, sandals and flip flops so was happy to try different styles. I first tried the Foot balance 3D scanning service. Results were emailed to me. The whole time I was at the store, there was no pressure to buy anything. I was able to try different shoes with different insoles. I ended up buying Cadence insoles, Hokas, Oofos, Feetures socks and leather black sandals. Sales associate Roman was so patient and helpful. He measured my foot very carefully and ensured that I found the right size and fit. I took up at least an hour of his time. The floor was full of different shoes/sizes that I tried. I'm very happy to have found a shoe store with great customer service and personal attention. This store also had other items such as purses, cute tops, pants and wallets. I definitely will return here for my future foot apparel needs. I plan to bring family members here too. read more

I went there recently as I developed plantar fasciitis and the doctor recommended any Footwear store and that they would help me choose the right shoes. Unfortunately, the woman helping me was not very knowledgeable. I had a list of brands to try on from the doctor which I did. She couldn't suggest anything, like this brand is better for high arches. It's hard to pick shoes if your foot is hurting. For questions related to sleeves she had to ask another associate and I wish he would contribute more as there was only one other person in the store. I just returned from another doctor's appointment as my foot is still hurting and was told they should have offered to put me on this measuring platform to see if additional insert would help. I can't recommend this store and will go to another location to get what I need now that I know what should be done. read more

Footwear customer service is awesome. I was looking for orthotics. The return policy is 30 days. I had to go back twice. I just couldn't decide which one to buy. Selena just helped my mom find comfortable shoes, and believe me it wasn't easy! Mom is 88, recovering from some major surgeries, and cranky about being stuck in a wheel chair for a few months. Selena was the soul of patience, empathy and practicality. She immediately understood what we were looking for and what Mom's limitations were. She made really helpful suggestions and never once got exasperated (even when Mom burst into tears at one point). In addition to the A+ service, this store carries nothing but quality, at prices that aren't much past what you would find online at someplace like Zappos. About a week ago, I bought a pair of Men BONDI-9 shoes. Located 1177 Lincoln Ave San Jose California. Previously I purchased shoes width was 4x times wide too large for my foot. Causing my right toe having a big callus and pains. Today's March-01- 2025. I went to same location and manager name (Celina L 838).
