I am writing this post on 11/10/25 but was at this store for first time in April of 2024. The optometrist was fine. The young lady who assisted me with getting glasses (fitting and selecting) was not knowledgeable and didn't explain things properly. I was getting progressive lenses and also made sure to explain to her that I have a rare eye disease, so it's imperative that I see well. Unfortunately, she didn't fully explain that they use different types of progressive lenses when it comes to the peripheral vision. I had always gotten Varilux lenses which happen to be one of the most expensive lenses, that give you the best peripheral vision. Since every other place I was used to going to for eyeglasses automatically gave me those lenses, I had no idea that other places gave some that are inferior in quality (and are cheaper). Needless to say, when I got my glasses and took them home I realized that I was having terrible issues with my vision! I couldn't put my finger on what exactly was wrong! When I looked head on at things it was fine. But what took me a while to understand was that my peripheral vision was way off! I wound up going back to the store and wound up with the same young lady, much to my chagrin. Honestly, this gal really didn't seem to be much of an optician. She really didn't seem to be very sure of herself and when I explained to her the trouble I was having she couldn't figure out what was wrong! I finally asked for her manager who was busy but finally came over to help. After 5 minutes of looking at the eyeglasses, the manager said, just a minute, and looked at MY old glasses and came back and knew right away that the peripheral was different! I told her I had no idea that there were options with this; it was not really explained to me. She said she'd have the lenses remade for me. I asked her about the difference in the peripheral quality and she said that some people do get the standard kind. I asked why someone would want that; why wouldn't they want the best vision possible? She said sometimes it's a matter of price. Of course it would take another couple of weeks. When I finally got the eyeglasses back, they were fine. Several months later I noticed that the eyepieces were getting very loose. Every time I would open and close the eyepieces, the screws would move. I never saw this happen before. Seemed very weird. I took the glasses back to store and the manager explained that sometimes she has to use some type of oil or something when she tightens the screws to keep it from loosening so quickly. I've been wearing glasses for over 60 years and never heard that before....lol... Anyway, I could not recommend this store to you unless you are just looking for sunglasses and are not picky about your eyeglasses! If you are serious about your vision and very careful, stay away! read more

For Eyes is located next to Miami Grill and American Thrift Store 2 in Lauderhill. I recently broke my glasses a few weeks ago and have been due to get an updated prescription. A friend recommended For Eyes so I decided I would give them a try. Upon first walking in they face a very nice receptionist that will take your name and ask for you to wait until it is your appointment time. With my eye insurance coverage the exam itself cost me only $10. The optometrist Dr. Griffith was very nice and made me feel comfortable during my exam. She is very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had regarding my new prescription. Before you know it was time for me to choose my new glasses. For Eyes has a very extensive selection of glasses you are able to choose from. Including designer glasses such as Armani Exchange, Guess, Gucci , Ray Bans etc. The frame pricing ranges from $50 and up. Overall I would definitely recommend For Eyes if you are looking for a great eye doctor and need a new eye glass prescription. read more

Optometrist here is Dr. Rosanna Richards-Delatour, and she is absolutely superb. In my many years of wearing glasses, I have never received a better, more accurate eyeglasses prescription or a more detailed and thorough preventative eye exam. I am an extremely happy repeat customer. You won't find a better eye doctor anywhere. :-D Note: This review is for the "For Eyes" location on University Blvd, just south of Commercial Blvd in Lauderhill. What's different from one to the next.in 2020 I have my glasses done,no complaint.by the end 2022 I have my sun glasses done same location,the person whom assisted me,was more concern answering phone than complete my order.i'm very dissatisfied,I didn't get what I really want. read more

I have had the worst experience in this place and so has my husband ! So I know people write reviews because they're at upset and they've had a terrible experience but I think I should warn people of all the possibilities that could happen here. I have been here four times to return my glasses because the first time the distance was not in the right place it was I had to put the glasses down further on my nose to see from far away and the two other times the Doctor Who seems very nice and very professional but maybe not very qualified because she misdiagnosed me twice and then I had to come back for the fourth time and one of the incompetent workers there because they are incompetent because nobody should have to come four times to charge me for the fourth time because I still had issues with the distance. The worst part about it my husband said don't go there I've already had this happen to me three times go to Lenscrafters they are much more with it and capable. If you like visiting the eyeglass Place and seeing the doctor over and over this is a place for you but the worst part about inconvenient to me all these times they want me to pay for the fourth time however diagnose me again! The issue above has been resolved. And because of their outstanding customer service, I would highly recommend For Eyes. The business really stands behind their eyewear and cares about their customers. I just learned that they have a 2 yr guarantee. I didn't know that. Pamela the manager really cares about her customers as do the other employees who work there. I always feel comfortable there when selecting glasses. The optometrist, Dr Rich Norman was great and I highly recommend him. And he was covered by insurance too so it only cost me a ten dollar co pay. read more

I have worn glasses for over 20 years and this was by far the worst experience I've had. I went in for a routine exam. Rather than Dr. Goldman, who I'm sure is lovely at her job, I got another optometrist, an older gentleman who was just unconscionably rude. And he was rude in that way some people have where they think they have good candor. But as soon as I walked into the exam room, he made a rude remark about my mother being with me and how childish it apparently was. Then he mocked *her* when she and I shared a joke about my vision. He spoke over both of us repeatedly and treat us both like we were idiots. Sir, I have been in and out of optometrist offices since I was in elementary school, you need to learn basic respect. On top of that, I wrote I did not want my eyes dilated today (because I had things to do later and didn't want the headache). This man insisted on it, to the point I was uncomfortable saying no. To Dr. Goldman: this gentleman is ruining any air of professionalism in your establishment. He needs a talking to. My family has gone to this location for years now and this is going to be the last time. There is a lot of competition in this area for eye care; we'll go elsewhere. I will not tolerate a man who makes my mother uncomfortable for his own amusement and acts like he's doing us all a favor instead of his job. read more

I've been wearing glasses with no line bifocal/transitional for years. The last pair I purchased from here is the worst pair of glasses I've ever had. Apparently whoever was responsible for crafting the lenses messed up terribly. I've had them sent back once ( within 2 weeks of purchase) and had them adjusted AT LEAST 6 times already. I can no longer wear this $450 pair of glasses due to the bifocal line being severely maladjusted. Customer service is 100% great but I will never purchase glasses from them. Now I'm wearing my scratched up glasses with a weaker prescription. NOT HAPPY AT ALL! read more

Last year having my annual eye exam at another retailer I was quoted these unbelievable amounts for a pair of glasses! Got up and walked out and drove to For Eyes in Lauderhill and met Pamela. Patient, helpful and very knowledgeable! With what I would have paid for one pair of glasses at the other retailer (Hint: In Broward Mall) I bought three, home, office and sunglasses for less! This year although my prescription did change, per my eye doctor, not enough to justify new glasses but I did want a second pair of sunglasses and something impacted the sunglasses I had, chipping the lens right in the line of site. No need to shop and went directly to For Eyes and spoke to Pamela again! Ordered my new sunglasses and for a small stipend am replacing the lenses in the original pair. Really nice Optometrist's office. Staff are very kind and thorough. I was actually surprised that they beat 1800Contacts on price, as that is where I usually have my prescriptions filled. I recently went in to have my contact pers refilled and was told that they had to be ordered and would that they would come in in roughly a week. I stopped by 5 days later just to check and see if they were in and they weren't. I was asked if I had lenses to hold me over and replied I did not. They gave me a temp set to last until my order came in (funny enough, that was the next day). Very nice, and very accomodating and the best choice for optometrists in Lauderhill. The only negative point I would add is that I found their framed eyeglass prices a bit on the high side (at least for the quote I got), but I would still recommend this office, especially for contacts. read more

Doctor Deborah is awesome. With insurance my eye exam was only $60 for contacts (astigmatism) and other places were trying to charge me $100!! She's super nice, and down to earth. She actually talks to you as a fellow human being and scorns you like a mother when you overwear your contacts lol. Definitely going back as long as I live around here. Great one on one customer service! No matter when we showed up the staff greeted us right away and took care of us. Both my wife and I needed glasses we are both in our forty's and suffer from old eyes. We did not realize going in how expensive lenses and frames are these days, but it is what it is. We got our money's worth here and our glasses look and work great. The staff and doctors are patient and will make sure you are happy! read more
