I have been a patient of Dr. Jonathan Gordon for several years. Over that time, I have spent thousands of dollars at the practice, referred new patients, and always considered myself a loyal customer. Recently, I began receiving emails indicating that the practice had merged with or been acquired by another company. Since I was due for a new eye exam and prescription anyway, I called the office to ask a few questions and schedule an appointment. Because I do not have vision insurance, I simply asked whether the pricing or discounts I had previously received as a long-time patient would still be available. I thought this was a perfectly reasonable question to ask. Kayla informed me that no discounts were available, which I accepted. I then politely asked whether Dr. Gordon might be willing to provide a few extra contact lens samples since I would be paying entirely out of pocket. Kayla placed me on hold to ask. Instead of receiving a courteous response, Brandy came on the phone and immediately spoke to me in a very aggressive and rude manner. She stated that Dr. Gordon was "just an employee" and that nothing additional could be done. While I was surprised by her tone, I chose to keep my appointment because I valued the relationship I thought I had built with the practice over the years. When I arrived for my scheduled 1:00 p.m. appointment, I was told there was no appointment in their system. I had written the appointment down and am certain it had been scheduled. Both Kayla and Brandy were at the front desk, and Brandy continued displaying the same rude attitude and facial expressions that I experienced on the phone. I asked if I could speak with Dr. Gordon simply to explain what had happened. Rather than listening to a long-time patient, he immediately sided with Brandy and also spoke to me in a rude and insulting manner. At no point was I disrespectful or confrontational. I was simply trying to keep an appointment that I had made and understand what had gone wrong. The most disturbing part of the encounter occurred as I was leaving. Dr. Gordon followed me outside and told me, "Go back to Wilton." As someone who is gay, I found that statement deeply offensive and interpreted it as a derogatory remark directed at me. Whether or not that was his intent, it was completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and something I never expected to hear from a physician. After years of loyalty, referrals, and paying out of pocket for my care, I was treated with disrespect from beginning to end. One unpleasant employee can damage a practice's reputation, but when the physician himself reinforces that behavior instead of addressing it professionally, it speaks volumes about the culture of the office. I cannot recommend this practice based on my experience. Patients deserve to be treated with courtesy, respect, and professionalism--especially long-time patients who have supported the practice for years. Dr. Gordon is a very knowledgeable and caring physician. I've been a patient at this office for several years specifically because of the excellent care he provides. Unfortunately, my experience with some of the office staff has consistently been disappointing. While not everyone is unprofessional, it only takes one negative interaction to affect the overall experience. As a medical professional, Dr. Gordon deserves to be supported by a team that reflects the same standard of compassion and professionalism he demonstrates. I strongly recommend that the staff receive training on how to treat patients with courtesy and respect. Regretfully, due to these ongoing concerns, I will not be returning. read more

Great interaction and communication with the staff always. They team up to help assist you and they have a warm and engaging aroma in the office space that makes you smile. The doctor is friendly and he gives you insightful information. He explains everything and provides options that he feels will be beneficial but not forceful or imposing at all. First off let me start by saying this office has to farm receptionist that are very rude and snotty. I came in to get my son's glasses repaired because they broke and he has a warranty and when I first got them I was told it was no deductible for the glasses. I drove 40 minutes out of my way to go get my sunglasses repaired because they broke and I had to leave them in the corner so he could wear them to school for one day, they told me I had to pay the deductible what an attitude moving their head back-and-forth basically saying it's on your receipt with the rudest attitude I've ever experienced and they said that's how it is and maybe the girl before who fits the glasses did it as a courtesy but they never told me that it was a courtesy I would not recommend coming here first off it's a little hole in the wall over paid for in a total of four pairs of glasses. I've been coming here for two years if you don't like your job, then change your job. No need to be rude or have an attitude towards customers especially ones that have been going here for years or give false information that there's a deductible when you need to change your glasses and the root snotty comment I had from them they said While it's at the bottom of the receipt for reason I will put this review on yelp Google and Facebook the front receptions are extremely rude and non-helpful. I will definitely never buy any glasses or contacts from here again I didn't complain when I was overcharged but now I am complaining when I first got these glasses. I didn't find them attractive when they went on my son and I wanted to return them first they gave me a hard time about that then in the end I ended up keeping them because it wasn't worth the hassle of coming back but I did drive out of my way just to get them fixed and guess what? I'm leaving here without them fix all because they did not want to assist me properly.. OH I FORGOT I EVEN BROUGHT THEM CUSTOMERS FROM MY JOB BECAUSE I SAID HOW NICE THEY WERE . Many doctors act like they know more than you about your own eyes, but Dr. Gordan trusted my concerns about a contact lens fit and encouraged me to make the final decision on my own health. Dr. Gordon was my eye doctor when I lived in Florida for over 5 years. I moved to Tennessee 2 years ago and had to find a new doctor. Unfortunately, durning the coronavirus my eye doctor shut down (without warning) This was a problem for me, being I'm literally blind and I depend on my contacts and glasses to function. I was completely out of contacts and had no access to my script, so I reached out to his office and they got back to me immediately and shipped me contacts overnight.
