Even with insurance, their frame pricing can be a little high but I have a stronger and more complicated prescription to deal with so completely understand. Good variety of options to choose from for frames and prescription sunglasses too. The office is in a convenient place sharing a parking lot with a Jewel-Osco, Sally Beauty supply, a Korean BBQ place and more. I can go for an eye exam and then stop in to grab groceries, cosmetics or pick-up dinner to go, in a single trip!

It's like filling a job application and want to know everything. Also, it would be easier to choose glasses in the men's and women's section not all mixed. I also didn't like that I had to pay for an extended warranty and if they brake I still have to pay a percentage of it. Usually the frame has a one year warranty. Then they show you options for glare, blue light, and transition and there's a great, a good, and a okay one. I just wasn't too happy with this but I have learned and next time check different places and get quotes before choosing a place.

I indicated that they didn't solve the problem and was not happy. They said glasses were fine as they replaced the bridge. I asked them if they did a full assessment of the glasses, and they "said" they replaced the bridge. I said I cannot wear them because they are loose and still flimsy. How do you charge someone but don't fix the problem? I will be filing with the better business bureau especially since I'm a senior. Very Dissatisfied Customer.

These people are SOOOOO cheap for the following reasons:…read more 1) charged $65 for a 2 minute contact lens fitting exam. I understand it's not their fault that the insurance doesn't pay for it anymore but a 2 minute "fitting" exam should not be more than $20. 2) charged $4 to refit the nose-piece back onto the glasses. I actually did it myself with superglue. 3) charged $6 for a glasses wipe cloth. C'Mon are these cloths really that hard to give one out to your customers? 4) charged $20 if you ordered contacts and didn't get the full year-round supply. Ridiculous. Illinois Eye Care Center would probably charge for using their water fountain. I can afford all the above - it's just the principle of being so cheap to customers that so annoying. And the one lady in the Hoffman Estates office wasn't particularly friendly at all. I'm never going again.

The day before our appointment, they cancelled my partner's appointment and lied about calling to confirm. When we called to figure out what went wrong, the guy on the phone was either a complete idiot or totally uninterested in getting new patients for this practice. Maybe both. The kinds of people doctors hire to interact with patients tells you a lot about what you can expect from the doctor. This is a major red flag.

I live in the city but made the trip out to Arlington Heights for my consult, then went to their Lombard location for the surgery about two and a half weeks later, and came back to Arlington Heights the next day for the post op. Totally worth it. From start to finish, everything moved efficiently but never felt rushed. On the day of surgery, they took their time with the preoperative steps, did another full workup, checked my corneas again, and the surgeon personally evaluated me before getting started. That gave me real peace of mind. People kept insisting I would need a Valium or something to calm my nerves, but I didn't need it at all. The team was calm, confident, and made me feel completely safe. When it was time, the actual procedure felt like it took three minutes, and that was it. They made sure I understood everything before and after surgery, gave me a full kit with everything I needed, and treated me with respect the whole way through. Now I can see so crystal clear, I'm babying my eyes like they're made of gold. It feels illegal to see this perfect. Already hit 20/20 the day after surgery and looking forward to hitting that 20/15 soon. For the price, it is a no brainer. This is not a big box conveyor belt type of place. It is professional, personal, and thorough. Highly recommend if you want real results without the fluff.
