So, we are her customers. It is a family owned business. So, that makes us feel good about it too. I know this is a term normally reserved for doctors, but she has amazing "bedside manner" as in she is extremely personable. It goes without saying that she is very thorough with her examinations too. This location has plenty of parking and the office is nicely decorated and furnished too. It is pleasing to the eyes. Besides that, her office coordinator is a very pleasant person and highly customer service oriented. I highly recommend going here.

At my pre-op appointment, Dr. Macsai was more than willing to answer any questions and concerns I had with the procedure. After reading all of the paperwork prior to speaking with her which explained many of the possible risks, I was so incredibly nervous I didn't ask any related questions for fear that I would change my mind completely! I of course did ask how soon I could resume working out at the gym, running and having my eyelashes tinted. The day of my procedure I thought of two additional questions I wanted to ask Dr. Macsai and she was more than willing and patient to answer them. Originally at my consultation (with another doctor) he had recommended monovision. So when completing the form as to what I wanted to have done surgically that is what I marked. I am so glad that I asked Dr. Macsai about this because she took me into another room prior to my surgery to check to see if that would be the best option. As it turns out it wasn't! At no time did I feel silly, rushed or preoccupied due to Dr. Macsai's calm demeanor. Dr. Macsai also takes the time to remeasure and examine you just to double-check what the technicians have done which is again, most reassuring. After being a contact lens wearer for 25 years - and even the occasional glasses - I just wish I would have had the procedure long ago. I am thrilled with the results and even more thrilled that I had such a fine, respectable and pleasant (kind and warm also come to mind) surgeon. I was reassured from the minute I walked into the office not only by Dr. Macsai but also much of the office staff. I highly recommend Dr. Macsai for anyone considering LASIK surgery. My son is looking forward to feeling like a hipster in his new Ray-Bans, and we're thrilled that we were able to utilize our VSP insurance to the fullest. Shopping for glasses at this particular location couldn't have been easier, and it really helped that we came in knowing what we were looking for. They didn't have my son's frames in stock, so they custom ordered them. Since we had to use our VSP insurance, they will go to a VSP lab before being shipped back to the store. It will be well worth the wait, because our insurance saved us a significant amount of money. We saved hundreds. And, no upselling whatsoever. I'm so glad we found this location! The office itself was very clean and Covid safe. They took our temperatures, we filled out a questionnaire, and everyone was wearing masks. We were in and out in no time at all. I have been coming here for the past 18 years and the ladies that used to work there, were always very welcoming and knowledgeable, there were 2 new ladies and a guy in the front desk that apparently don't know how to schedule patients. All they know how to say is "I'm sorry." Sir your apologies won't get you anywhere. That new doctor didn't even come out of her office to help these uneducated front desk personnel. My 9 year old was complaining about headaches so I took him to my eye dr (shout out to Dr. Daisy at…read morePerspective Eyes in Winnetka). After evaluating my son Dr. Daisy confirmed that his vision was fine, but she was worried that the headaches were being caused by weak eye muscles and thought he could possibly benefit from vision therapy. She gave us some exercises to try at home, but recommended we also look into vision therapy. I did a little research on where people go for vision therapy (who knew there was such a thing?) and made an appointment here for an evaluation at Vision Rehabilitation. We saw Dr. Sorensen in April for a longish (1.5 hours?) appointment which my son didn't seem to mind. At the end she did confirm he would benefit from 16 weeks of vision therapy to strengthen his eye muscles and would also help him from losing his place when reading etc. I asked for a report that I could read thru and possibly use for school accommodations. She promised to get it to me within 2 weeks. 2 months later I realized I never got the report so I followed up and recently received it, which was helpful to pass along to my son's teacher. The thought of adding another weekly appt to my busy kids schedule right now didn't seem appealing so I figured I"d call back in the spring to get this going in the summer. At my son's recent physical our pediatrician recommended we get a second opinion from Lurie before starting the therapy so we just booked with the Dr. he recommended for this coming April (the soonest we could get in). And from there we'll decide on next steps for vision thearpy. If you don't want to go to Lurie overall we had a good experience with this office and Dr. Sorenson seemed to pretty knowledgeable.
