Okay while the fries are decent I will say. The burger is average. But the reason for the one star is the unbelievable unprofessionalism and false promotions. The biggest issue with my low rating is the fact that they don't honor their uber eats or DoorDash offers. I tried to get a buy one get one free hamburger so I could have one for my kid. Before I even received the order, I asked the uber eats driver to double check if I am in fact getting two burgers instead of one. She said no and that they told her "they don't do that." So I drove to the place and when I got there, it was only two young people in the kitchen. So I asked what wasn't my uber eats offer fulfilled and if I could speak to manager. And he said the manager wasn't there and he didn't even work at the Alhambra location but got called to do so since they are so understaffed. I told him to call the manager but didn't feel like explaining myself again. Just overall unprofessional because of the lack of a number and no assistant manager, just young employees. The animal fries were just okay... pretty mediocre for being almost $9. Would I come back? Probably not if I had to pay full price. I would order the bogo burgers again though and maybe do doubles instead. Comparing this to something like win-Dow in silverlake where two burgers, fries, and a drink was less than $20. Not on par with their other locations. The environment is unwelcoming, there are visible code violations (no hair nets and poor food handling practices), and a lack of adequate training. I was willing to overlook needless up-charging for things like fry sauce, lettuce and tomato because I enjoyed the product, but this location is noticeably skimpy -- they don't even offer tap water to their customers. For the win is winning in smash burgers. I just enjoyed a double chesse burger with bacon and jalapenos. I tried there sweet potato fries which were hot and delicious. Keith was the worker who served me with a smile and was helpful with my questions . I came just after they opened so it wasn't as crowed and got my food fast. I sat at the bar stools and watched them cook my burger while listening to the music that was playing. Very nice atmosphere. I will be back!!! read more

First off, I have to pay to have tomato and lettuce ADDED to my burger. That should be standard. Small portions and large prices. I also heard their management sucks, every person I know that works there complains about how the manager is a lazy fuck, but barks out orders to her workers simply because they are lower on the command chain than her. Had no clue FTW was near my pad! Super excited about this as I've beat up the Hollywood and Glendale locations for years! Just stumbled onto Montebello location in Blvd Mkt a few weeks ago and now the Alhambra location (took over Grill Em All spot) a few min from me! Always great burger (crispy edges) and fries (remind me of the old school beef fat Mcd's fries), I'm simple and no frills and they do a great a job. I was pretty sad after Grill Em All left this location and moved over to Long Beach. Instead of those humongous over the top burgs, you'll find delicious smash burgers at For The Win. The smashed patties are nice and juicy with crispy edges and also sport grilled onions. The fry sauce adds another savory dimension and the pickles add texture as well as acidity to help keep things balanced. The potato bun was buttery soft and perfectly toasted. I got mine as a double cheeseburger which I think had the perfect ratio of beef to bun. I also got a side of sweet potato fries which came out crispy and perfectly salted as well as fry sauce for dipping. We came in the early afternoon on a weekday and the place wasn't busy at all. You can order yourself from either of two kiosks and the process was pretty simple especially if you prefer to use contactless payment. The workers were super friendly and attentive. I'm super happy that the 626 has a great smash burger spot and I'll definitely be coming back soon. My only ask is that they start using Grill Em Alls beer taps and start serving draft beer! While waiting for our food we noticed that the cook wearing gloves handled and placed the raw hamburger patties onto the grill then without changing his gloves, he picked up the warmed hamburger buns from the grill. The cross contamination and sanitation is a concern. We also observed food being placed on food trays but we weren't sure if the trays were cleaned or sanitized. Upon browsing one day I came across this place when trying to look for something to eat. I sorta knew about this place and the reviews seemed on the average side. Sorry to say, I have to agree with them. This place is certainly overpriced and nothing else made up for it. Generally if I am paying more, you need something extra whether it be better service, more portions, better quality but everything here was just run of the mill. I live in the SGV and when I go to some restaurant around here, it has to be good value. This place is probably more catered toward people who don't live in the SGV and mind paying more for less because the economics of other parts of the city make more sense to get away with this. When you walk in, no one greets you and you're all self serve. What I mean is no one is at the counter to take your order, it's default for you to order by yourself on the Ipad as all the employees here are mostly there to make sure the store is running and your food gets cooked. I got myself the basics, the smashburger + fries which came out to around 15 bucks after tax. The store was pretty much empty save for a party of 6. The wait time wasn't bad, maybe 10 minutes. Some guy calls out your name and hands you the bag with your stuff in it. In the bag is the bare minimum, your food only. You gotta grab any extra condiments, napkins or whatever extras you need. With In-N-Out right up the street, at around 33% cheaper for a combo AND you get a drink, its hard to justify going to a place like this. They love to nickle and dime you if you want any extra stuff on your burger. The milkshakes are a whopping 7+USD. In-N-Out's shake is 2.95 + tax. Parking also sucks because its located in that area where the movie theater is. Since the entire experience is self-serve but with the sit down price (SGV Standards), paying this much without a drink is hard to justify. None of the employees there looked like they wanted to be there. Overall, just a bad vibe and after consuming said meal, it leaves you completely unsatisfied. I felt like how the guys who worked there looked like when I finished. This place is a hard pass. There's too many better restaurants in general in the area for this place to survive. read more
