The burger is amazing. I'm a loyal In and Out fan but I wanted to try this smash burger and it is A++++ !! I tried it without ketchup or the special sauce and it definitely delivers. The patty was crispy on the outside edges and so tender and juicy on the inside. Every bite was so satisfying that you really need to take your time eating it. I also had it with the special sauce and it was equally satisfying, it was really good. I had the sweet potato fries well done, and that was another highlight of my meal! The service was on point and simple. You order on the touch screen pad and then they yell out your name. The place was clean and spacious and inviting . Nothing really special. I skipped the fries and went for Brussels sprouts since my favorite two restaurant no longer make the delicious morsels. I was rather disappointed because they were not crispy and were mushy. For the Win has been on my list for a while now, and I finally made it out. It's hard to locate. It's close to Yardbird, on the street level. Public parking is inside the Beverly center. It's $1.50 for one hour. I went during my lunch break, and it was empty. There were 2 people eating and no one else in the restaurant. I went to the cashier to order and the cook was flipping burgers with his back turned. No one addressed me after a minute or two, so I had to peep behind the counter and say hello to grab their attention. A few people were leaning on the counter in the back on their phone. I come here time to time before shows at the Largo, but the food can take varying amounts of time to be made because of all the mobile orders. There are so many burger choices in and around the Grove, and this is my go-to spot! Service is always super nice, and it's great you can hang out right on the side to wait for food (if it's not too busy). I'm astounded how the founder/owner attracted investors to this concept. The Beverly Center location has the most sterile, industrial, robotic vibe you can imagine. For a moment I thought I was eating at the cafeteria in Severance. Feels like dining inside an empty fish tank. Zero warmth or charm. Physically cold as the AC is blasting on a 65 degree night. No humans in sight when you walk in. Place your order on a tablet. Stiff rigid tables with only a few banquettes along the wall plastered with exaggerated AI-generated pics of burgers. Why must the decor match the actual food I'm about to consume? As to the food: the smash burgers were decent. A tad over-seasoned and salty but certainly tasty. Forget about a single burger patty. It's double or nothing. Even triple to satiate an average appetite. So now it's getting costly. Anyone raving about the fries needs to have their head examined. Probably the same people who love the fries at In n Out. And when you put "sauce on the side" in your burger order, instead of it coming fresh in a plastic cup which I wrongly assumed, it comes in a packet like ketchup. With no ingredients labeled on the package. What is this, Soylent Green sauce? For someone with food allergies like me, I need to know what's inside the secret sauce. Human touch and consideration don't exist in here. The parking at Beverly Center is atrocious as usual. You self park and self pay. Scan the QR code and the minimum charge (at 8:30pm) was $5 for a two and a half hour block. You couldn't change it to 1 hour. Total racket. That's the greed of the Beverly Center and a big reason why restaurants there keep failing. I always want new businesses to succeed and I feel for the franchise owner. These problems are mostly out of his or her control. If the former Tocaya which I really liked couldn't make it in the space next door to this, there is no way this place will survive. It was empty on a Thursday night. What a shame. Wishing them well but I foresee the only customers returning here will be a handful of food delivery robots. I think i really tried to like this place based on the raving reviews. I will say it taste good but dang that price tag is INSANE. I got a double smash with bacon and jalepeno and sweet potato fries with a diet coke and that came out to $30. It tasted great but not $30 great. I would say a fair price would be $18 or something. Was at Cedars Sinai for the day and realized that this spot was like a 5 minute walk from where I was at. I'd heard about FTW from online influencers before, so I knew I had to see what the hype was about. Suffice it to say, it did NOT meet my expectations. I can't really tell you much about parking since my car was in the hospital's parking garage, but I'm pretty sure there's parking on the main streets around the area; however, it didn't look like much space was available, if any. I believe you might be able to find parking in one of the nearby neighborhood streets, but you'd have to check for yourself. For that reason alone, I'd only recommend visiting this location if you're gonna be at Cedars Sinai for a while and you have dedicated parking over there. The interior of the spot was extremely spacious, to the point where it seemed damn near empty. Had a very cafeteria-like vibe to it, in my opinion, but I don't come to restaurants as an interior design expert anyways. You order your food at a touch screen kiosk, then pick it up from the counter around 10-15ish minutes later, so the service is just fine. I decided to order the double cheeseburger (already knew the patties were gonna be thin) with a side of fries; pretty standard, nothing too special. You would think the price wouldn't be so extraordinary but damn near 20 bucks for a burger, fries, and no drink is lowkey wild. At the very least, the burger WAS pretty good; juicy patties with a crisp lace that reached far beyond the bounds of the potato buns, fresh pickles and grilled onions, and a special fry sauce that really isn't so special for something that comes on every burger nowadays. The fries were long and crispy, McDonald's style. $5 really isn't too bad nowadays for the quantity they give, to be honest. Listen, I really wanted to give in to the hype, I really did. But these burger prices are most definitely not worth what they're supplying you with. The fries were pretty solid though. And hey, I heard something about free fries for a Yelp review so I might be willing to give it a second shot ;) Overall, the food is good, but not really worth the price and headache of a parking situation to justify being a regular customer. I ordered a double smash burger which was good but $12.50, then added luke warm McDonald's styled fries for $4.95, and finally finished off with a vanilla milkshake for $7.25 ..totaling the bill to $27.05. The burger was served on a round paper plate making it hard to pickup as the burger was almost falling apart; and drank with thin paper straws that isn't suitable for drinking shakes as it'd fall apart. Bottom-Line: The OG Franklin Ave spot is way, way better. Cost of franchising out too early. Quality Control issues will ensue. I'm kind of sandwiched between both locations, but generally speaking, this location tends to be more convenient since traffic tends to behave much better (Still the issue with parking, but still easier -- parking at OG Franklin location with it's itty-bitty parking lot is quite the chore. Ate here a few times. Ordered the regular smash burger (single), (double with bacon) regular fries, and sweet potato fries. The quality is noticeably a step down. IN particular the smash burger. Don't get me wrong, FTW still a more than average Los Angeles smasher. In fact, it defined many of the imitation spots that seem to pop-up every month or so. It's valley smash rival uses fully grilled Jalapenos, while FTW uses premade pickled ones. And normally, as a general rule of thumb, the fresher the better. However, this is not necessarily true. Why? THe pickled jalapenos have a more acidic taste, which compliments the burger and the fry/burger sauce -- which already naturally is acidic too. And there's no frills. Double smashed patties on the razor's edge (ACDC style) with cheese, bacon, jalapenos and slathered acidic fry sauce is a real treat. The bun is soft as a pillow. The construction is extremely refinded and tasty too. Now the beverly hills location's patty is just not the same. You still receive all the aesthetics of the Franklin St. OG spot, but the taste is slightly off. It's not as juicy. It has a little bit of dryness to it, and a tad bit overcooked. The fries also tend to be a little under-salted, not as crunchy. For the pricetag attached, I prefer the OG spot. read more

Came to For the Win after boxing class because my friends were insisting and smashburgers on a Hawaiian bun are my favorite! It's located on the first floor of the Beverly Center. I ordered a single smashburger and some fries. I think the single is a perfect meat to bun ratio. The cheese, pickles, onions and the sauce are a must. I would say that the sauce had a bit too much mustard and mustard isn't my favorite as I find it too tangy, but still delicious. The fries were fine, very similar to McDonald's and they had a lot of salt. Other than that they are flavorful and I didn't even use any ketchup.
