Forage had seemingly all clean ingredients, nothing over processed. I got a Mediterranean chicken wrap. It was delicious. Although, it was giant! This is an excellent choice if you're health, eco conscious or just in the mood for something new. ITS NOT JUST KALE and BROWN RICE. I had an Asian stew of some sort that was warm and gratifying. (Can't remember the name). My trip was just before closing. Even the aged ingredients were better than some fresh premium fast food options out there. This place is amazing! I was in Sun Prairie for a week and hit up Forage Kitchen three of the nights that I was there and will definitely be heading back there again. The first and third night I went with the Fiesta Bowl and added hot honey chicken to it. The bowl comes complete with organic black rice, southwest salsa, poblano cabbage slaw, mild cheddar, black bean dip, cilantro, tortilla strips and salsa roja and the hot honey chicken paired perfectly. The bowl was fresh and bursting with flavor and it also comes with a small piece of sourdough bread on the side. The second night I went with the chicken Caesar salad wrap which was equally as delicious and came with Romaine, sourdough croutons, shaved parmesan, hard boiled egg, roasted chicken and caesar dressing. The menu is certainly for the health conscious but don't mistake this to mean that the flavor won't be there and that the food will taste like cardboard. The food is next level delicious and the menu has some really nice options that I'll be checking out again. read more

I love Forage Kitchen! They have a great menu and all of their ingredients are so fresh. I went online and ordered ahead, super easy. When I came in to grab my order it was ready to go on their take out shelves. The inside is great, it's very clean and modern. I had the fiesta bowl and loved it. This has been my go-to bowl lately. Forage has quickly became my go to for a quick meal. I've been working on eating healthier and trying to have more vegetable in my diet, with their fresh ingredients and many options on the menu their have definitely helped me to achieve this goal. My favorite at Forage is their Southwest Salad. Its fresh, has flavors I love including Hot Honey Chicken. I am normally a burrito girl on the go but this salad hits the same spot with similar flavors. My partner and I also love their Forage brand kombucha. There is only ONE thing on the entire menu that really had my attention- the chicken caesar salad (although I threw in a bunch of add ons to make it special). Suddenly they took it off the menu? All the other locations still have it. Only way around it is to build your own but this doubles the cost. This place is in a great location and it was clean inside. The ambiance was relaxing and open. The options are limited. I found if you need to exclude certain items from orders, you are limited on ones you can change because they have a lot of pre-made dishes and you cannot take items out. I understand the concept for faster and convenience. So if you have certain allergies and need to exclude items, you may want to look elsewhere. It was all fresh food and very health but friendly. They are also on the more expensive side but for the health nut type of place I expected that. read more

Updating my earlier poor review because I have found the management to be very responsive to concerns and the food is excellent. I previously had some disappointing experiences with incomplete orders but each time they tried to make it right. So I cannot fault them for mistakes so long as they're working to improve. My husband and I got Forage Kitchen for the first time last week for lunch! Since it was our first time going, my husband was skeptical as to if he would like it or not (spoiler-he loved it and keeps asking when we're getting it again!) He got the fiesta bowl and I got the cashew bowl and I added roasted chicken (it's shredded and has great flavor) to mine. I was obsessed with my meal and think even without the added chicken, it would've been plenty filling enough which was what I wanted. It feels light but has foods that will stick with you after eating (whole cashews, roasted cauliflower and broccoli, etc). We both felt totally full til dinner time and actually ate a bit later than usual because we still felt full. Therefore, Forage Kitchen would make a great dinner too. I also like that they give a piece of nice sour dough bread until they run out. We took our food to go but it's a nice space and feels light and open. In the future I'd eat there too if headed somewhere else after. We can't wait to go back and try more of the menu! read more

I stopped in to Forge kitchen last night for the first time in Sun Prairie. I was a little skeptical as I watched them make my two to go orders. I was absolutely amazed and surprised at the quality of the tuna and the size of the dishes. The flavor was absolutely amazing. I went back today for lunch. It seems a little pricey, but for the quality of the product it was well worth the cost. I highly suggest getting the dressing on the side. read more
