Their menu has a lot of different options that will a college student's budget starting at just under $10 for a quarter chicken leg with a side. We like everything that was served from the chicken, yuca, cilantro rice, to fries. The only reason for a lower rating is because I think the portion size could have been more compared to other similar restaurants I've tried. Estacion Inka is a place that I find myself going to at least once every two months. My favorite thing to order is the arroz con cerdo, which comes with rice, fried pork, salsa criolla, black beans, and sweet plantains. The flavors of the beans, salsa, and pork go very well together, and they're even better with the yellow and green sauces that they provide. This restaurant is more hands-off, as the customers grab their own utensils, their own water; and order at the register up front. However, the employees are very helpful and nice when ordering and the food comes out pretty quickly. The decorations of the restaurant are all related to Peru, which is a nice touch! Definitely one of my favorite lowkey spots in Madison. read more

Estacion Inka is one of my favorite take out restaurants. Their online ordering process is very easy and fast, and there's usually a discount code to get 10-15% off. The pollo tropical is my favorite order! I absolutely am obsessed with the plantains and always get an extra side. We tried the Yucca Frites this time too and really liked them. I highly recommend swapping out normal rice for cilantro rice. Also, always ask for extra sauce because you'll want it. The Brassa sandwich was also a new pick for us, the chicken was super juicy and I loved the shoestring potatoes inside. Their location is a little hard for pickup, if you're driving. You can put your flashers on outside, but keep in mind that area is also a bus stop. I would recommend trying to park at the Frances St garage because usually less than 10 minutes is free. Everything is seasoned well and oh my gosh say "yes" if they ask you if you want sauce. I have no idea what it is but it taste great with the food. The green one is slightly spicy but overall you could probably eat the food without any sauce whatsoever. The sandwich and meat tasted fresh! The fries, green rice and pork was also great. I have no idea what that green rice is but you should give it a try! It's unique forsure. Overall, the food came out in under 5 minutes and everything tasted amazing. One of my favorite restaurants in Madison! The cilantro green sauce is the highlight every time. I usually order the quarter chicken or one of their other chicken dishes, but I decided to try the lomo saltado this time. I wasn't a big fan since it was quite salty and the meat was a bit tough, but the other dishes I've tried I loved. My friend also got the flan and it was SO good! It's quite a big piece and I'm assuming if it's also made in-house, it's worth the price. The service is also very quick. They had a big rush during the time that we went and we still managed to get our food fairly quickly. You seat yourself and grab your own utensils which is pretty convenient. The only reason I am not happy with Estacion Inka is that they weren't open when I was a UW student. In all seriousness, this is an awesome new addition to Madison's fast-casual scene. The spot is clean and modern with a full Peruvian menu, including lunch specials, all at reasonable prices. I had the beef saltado and it was tremendous. The beef was tender and delicious. The charred flavor was unique and wonderful! The fries and rice were cooked perfectly, as were the grilled tomatoes and onions. At only $13, my meal was perfect for college budgets, too. The dish I ordered had a serving of fries, cilantro rice in a deep green color, and a pan seared steak dish with onions and veggies next to it. All of this for one single order.
