Wish we could rate negative stars because this would be my first. It's a shame because it's such a cool, cute concept and decor. They say first impressions are everything but after almost 3 hours for an overcooked burger, I have lots more to go on than first impressions. First I have a bias because I detest restaurants that don't take reservations, I think they are lazy and disrespectful to their customers, but it seems to be pretty common in this type of "upscale fast food restaurant " LOL anything but fast, but quality...they do have call ahead seating but warm you that you're still waiting up to an hour. We had a party of 8, which was supposed to be 10 and seated close to the time. Yeah! That's worth the star. But, Kristen, our server was clearly disappointed that 2 of our 10 cancelled at the last minute. She was one of the most unfriendly and disorganized servers ever, however she was good about drink refills during the 2 hours we were there (not our choice btw). Where to start, with the food? I think a laundry list would be best: 1. At 7 pm ,out of pasta for the Mac and cheese. Really we have to wonder if the lobster mac and cheese would also have been unavailable and why when surrounded by publix and Walmart somebody didn't pick some up like other restaurants do all the time. Better to disappoint the customers and tell them for the next 7 hours no Mac and cheese. Shawn the manager claimed no other store has that quality of pasta...hmmm, doubt it. 2. A shiitake mushroom sandwich was ordered and the lady that ordered it painstakingly explained to Kristen in detail that she wanted the sauce on the side to prevent any sogginess. Guess what it was the most pitiful tiny soggy sandwich drenched in sauce. 3. One person' order was not even brought to the table and had to be re-prepared. 4. 2 orders served ice cold. 5. 3 orders served without fries, and had to wait longer for them as well. 6. Took an inventory while waiting for the other items, 1 burger missing the bacon and 1 missing the carrmelized onions. So, after placing the order and still waiting to learn about the status of the Mac and cheese I of course requested a manager. Well observed Kristen speaking at length to someone we assumed to be the manager and looking back at our table and went to the kitchen. He returned and checked on a few tables near us, started toward ours and retreated. When we called him over Shawn was abrupt said they "just ran out of pasta and no store carried the quality of the their pasta". He was abrupt, and frankly acted like he could not care less. And I'm sorry to say the man needed some mints bc his breath nearly knocked us over. Not cool as a "floor manager" and not being able to talk to customers. So when our food arrived asked for the GM to another server who said they didn't have one, but could bring out another manager. Enter Amber, who again acted as she had no concerns about the wait or the poor quality of food served, until her attitude was questioned. Well Amber went into super manager mode, and promised to have things revoked and correct right away. Well within 4 minutes everybody's order was in the table, and mostly correct (overcooked and dry burgers which is a shame because they had a nice flavor). So why does a 4 minute meal for 8 people take over an hour and be wrong? I guess they need to clone Amber. She also adjusted the checks to 50% off due to the "quality". Noticed while waiting for our table numerous people leaving after waiting forever for their tables and were repeatedly told "you're next" and the hostesses also has the "I don't care if you leave attitude " Well, this yelper won't be returning or recommending this place. Apparently it works for those that are gluttons for punishment or just generously donating their time and money to the Fords Garage cause. read more

I've been a few more times since my last update. This last time, I was really disappointed. Everytime I visit, it seems to slip more and more. My first visit was amazing, but for some reason, they weren't able to maintain that momentum. I keep coming back hoping things would go back to the way they were my first visit, but they didn't. The last visit, I was told there was a long wait. I asked if there were any first-come-first-serve seating, and the response was, "only at the bar". The bar was full, so we waited for a table. After our table was finally ready, I walk up to the hostess stand to be seated. Some people walk in behind me, and I hear them ask if there is any first-come-first-serve seating. By this time, there was a different hostess. The response was, "at the bar, and anything outside". That ticked me off a little. I would have gladly sat outside to avoid the 30 to 45 minute wait. Also, on more than one occasion, I've had to get up and go get my own silverware after the food arrived. I've ordered a burger on every visit. I always order my burgers medium, but they come out well done, rare, medium rare, but only twice has the burger come out as I ordered it. This last visit, my patty was very dry and flavorless, like freezer burn. Exactly like freezer burnt meat. The lettuce was wilted and clear. As a matter of fact, none of the ingredients were fresh. My last couple of visits, I really did not enjoy my food, nor my dining experience. For that reason, I don't think I'll be back. The food is very expensive, and inconsistent in quality. I've never had good service, and most of the time it is really bad. It makes me sad to write this, because Ford's Garage has such good potential. Their execution was just subpar. Instead of improving over time, it seems they have actually gotten worse. I love a good burger, and I hate to say it, but Ford's Garage is not the place to get one. read more

Wife and I had lunch here today. We were there early and didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes. The decor is fun to look at - the napkins are the sort of 'rags' that a mechanic would use, wrapped in a clamp of some type. The high ceilings and lack of material to absorb sound makes this a very noisy place. I thought the burgers were on the high side, $15 for a burger that wasn't even good. I got the black angus with spicy jack cheese,bacon and a fried egg which was suppose to come out medium rare but came out well done. The egg wasn't even runny and they put some type of bbq ketchup on it when i didn't ask for it. It was a disgusting burger with no flavor which I should have said something but didn't. I frequently add pepper to my food - rarely add salt but this time I had to do both. Only good food that I had here were the fried pickles. There weren't very many of them for $6. The wasabi ranch they serve with them was really the highlight of the dish. For $45.00 worth of food and drink i really felt ripped off....I don't mind paying high prices as long as the food backs it up and this place doesn't do that. read more

I wanted to like this place. The inside is nice. I like how is decorated. There's just too many constraints (cons). The only food I liked was the Firestone shrimp. It was really good. The shrimp was crispy and tasted a little spicy. I didn't like their burgers at all, and my burger was never cooked right, even after four visits. The service is hit or miss, usually a miss. Every server has been slow, and don't really check on us. I like the check-in system that send texts to let you know when your table is ready, but there seems to always be a long wait, even though there are plenty of empty tables. My hubby kept dragging me here, even though I told him I wasn't a fan. I haven't really enjoyed my experiences (any of them), so I will not return. read more

I was disappointed by the lack of options for the beer flights. The options included atleast 2 shit beers which in my opinion is a no no. I opted instead to do patron shots and margaritas. While we were there they were running specials on margaritas, sangria, and house wines $3. Not bad, at all. We started with spinach and artichoke dip and fried pickles. I have never had a s&a that I did not like there is always a first time. It was basically cream cheese with speckles of s&a no flavor. The fried pickles werent the best but hit the spot so much so I finished the basket pretty much by myself. Our waitress was impeccable however again I did not grab her name. She checked on us often and was very easy going. She made sure our food made its way out to us as well as our drinks! Yay for us! I opted to go with the slider trio and chose the pulled pork angus beef and chili cheese dog everything was amazing! Next time I would go with the angus it was so moist and the fresh lettuce and red onion really did it for me. The fries were fresh yum! Overall, being that it is new they have some quirks to work out and the crowds are unbelievable. We made it in around 4 pm on a weeknight so i cant imagine what the wait looks like for dinner on the weeekends. My father retired from Ford Motor Company in Edison NJ back in 1993. We've owned ford products during his employment at Ford and thereafter! I've driven ford cars/trucks since the age of 21. Fast forward 22 years and I still drive a ford! That's why I was SO excited when I saw the Ford Garage restaurant was opening in Brandon. The decor is on fleek! I love the Ford garage concept throughout the restaurant. Now to the food part! I'm not impressed! Actually I was a little disappointed! I ordered the Chicken Henry which is similar to Carraba's Chicken Bryan but nowhere near the flavor as Carraba's Chicken Bryan! I thought the food was subpar! I believe in giving restaurants a 2nd chance so next time I'll try a burger which is what they are supposed be known for! It better be good! The root beer beer was delish! I'll order that again! I was a little skeptical about trying this joint based on some of the reviews. However, I decided to go check it out for myself. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by the hostess and led to a comfortable table smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. While waiting I embraced all the Ford emblems, the gas tanks outside and the interesting decor inside. I will say it did take a while for the server to come, her name is Shawna. Shawna was very friendly. I informed Shawna this was my first visit here and needed help on a selection because everything looked tasty. Shawna suggested the Chicken Henry. She couldn't have made a better recommendation. CHICKEN HENRY Grilled chicken breast, topped with a lemon butter sauce, goat cheese, basil, sun-dried tomatoes, served with Ford's Classic french fries and your choice of green beans, steamed broccoli or homemade coleslaw ......I opted to have the mac and cheese instead of the other side choices. The chicken was very tender and flavorful. I'm a sucker for sauces and my tastebuds thanked me for the lemon butter sauce. I immensely enjoyed my experience here, and have been hankering to go back ever since. That's when you know you got something good when people leave the establishment already thinking about the next time they can come back. Atmosphere is 100% awesome. So original it's not even funny. Creative is an understatement. As a car guy I loved it, but anybody would enjoy the genius things they did here. Also didn't know it was fully loaded with tvs so being a sports fan you just put 2 great things together for me, cars and sports. Oh but wait, there is more!! Craft beer menu to rock your socks off if you are a beer drinker. Now I got beer, sports, and cars they certainly knew the way to my heart. I mean next to plethora in the dictionary should be a picture of their beer menu. Only thing I've seen compete is world of beers, and come on man how can any expect to compete with that its in their name. Oh but there is more!! The food, I was very impressed, more so then expected. Price point was a little high but you know what makes you forget that real fast, when your food arrives and it rocks your world. I don't mind paying for darn good food. Especially when I leave completely and utterly satisfied from my taste buds to my stomach. Sensational burger and toppings and sides and all the guests at my table had equally great things to say about their meal. Had the spinach dip for appetizer and it's blown away any previous ones I've tried at other places. Finally the service. From the time we walked in the front door till the time we left we were treated with excellent service. The host were very friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The server for us (wish i remember his name) but he was superb and didn't just serve us food but engaged with us and became a part of our group it seemed for the time we were there. I met up with a girlfriend for an impromptu lunch at Ford's Garage on a Friday afternoon. We chose the restaurant because we both wanted to try something new and were meeting up in Brandon. I arrived a little before she did and good thing I did because even at 1:30 in the afternoon, they were still on a wait. Long lines are a good sign they say right?! The restaurant is decorated in Ford automobile memorabilia. It is fun and nostalgic for the vintage car fanatics. It is a definitely feels like a trip down memory lane to a time I only know from the movies. Even the bathroom is decorated in concert with the theme. The sink is a tire and the faucet looks like a gas nozzle. The napkins look like shop rags (clean of course) and they are held together by a piece of metal. The restaurant definitely gets kudos for effectively and creatively executing the vintage automobile theme. The wait was not too long, just 15 minutes before I was seated. We were seated at a table in the front of the restaurant. Our server us and gave us an overview of the menu. She also shared the happy hour specials with us. That was right up my alley and perfect for a Friday afternoon. I ordered the margarita which was just $3. We also ordered the spinach and artichoke dip as an appetizer along with 1 burger each. The spinach and artichoke dip was made with cream cheese. The cream cheese made the dip creamy but it also was the dominant flavor. Since I like cream cheese that was not a bad thing for me but it was not like most of the other dips I have had in the past. I ordered the mushroom swiss burger with caramelized onions instead of raw red onions. She ordered the black and bleu burger. We had broccoli and sweet potatoes as our sides respectively. I tasted both burgers and they were flavorful. My friend ordered her burger well done so it was too dry for me but that wasn't the restaurants fault. My burger on the other hand was a perfect medium and was still moist. I would order my burger again but request double toppings maybe because I would have really enjoyed having more mushrooms and onions on mine. Meanwhile two parties who arrived after us (two of us) were served and halfway finishing us their food before we were presented with our salads. Went here for the first time a few weeks ago. What a wonderful place to eat and admire old Ford memorabilia. I had the best blackened salmon I have ever eaten in Florida here. It was cooked to perfection! The service was outstanding! The decor was simple and showed off all of Fords greatest moments in history. Ford's Garage was all the rage when it opened in Brandon and I was excited to try it out to see what their burgers and beer was all about. I've been on two occasions now - the first time was a quick appetizer at the bar because of the line being over 2 hours for a dinner table. The first time, I tried the wings and they were okay - nothing to rave about but not bad either. The second time, today, I had dinner with two girlfriends and had the Chicken burger that I was able to 'build.' For the price it was worth the value and I liked how I could customize everything from the bun to the side. It was freezing and windy. The menu has an excellent variety of food choices to tempt anyone's palate. Between the 4 of us we had fried pickles, Mac and cheese, build your own burger, sliders and no carb burger. It took awhile for the food to come out but it was hot when it arrived. My son had build your own burger and he wanted pink inside but definitely more on well done side. This place opened up a few years ago in Brandon and was anxious to try it out. It has classic cars outside and inside as well. Ford style of course! The bathrooms as you see from my pictures are custom made to the T as well. Very unique looks from start to finish from outside to in. The staff are very friendly and the food didn't take to long to arrive. I ordered a burger with egg bc how else do you order it?! Lol the bun was really good, temp of the burger as well as the fries. They have a gift area with shirts and such that you can buy and they take reservations for all sizes of groups! I can see this place being open for a while. I ordered the French onion soup and it was a pile of onions on a plate no broth with hard bread and unmelted cheese.. it was far from soup.. and the Buffalo chicken dip with no chicken at all. To go, I ordered hand-breaded chicken fingers and French fries which came with ranch dressing and honey mustard sauce for dipping. Everything from the chicken to the dipping sauce was exemplary. I also ordered a slice of key lime pie for dessert. The key lime pie was the absolute best I have ever tasted. It was just the right balance of tart and sweet and the crust was utter perfection. I was immediately skeptical about ordering a $10 piece of pie, but it was very worth the inflated price. I am also skeptical about ordering French fries to go because they are usually terrible when arriving at their destination no matter how close, however, these fries stayed warm and delicious. The chicken fingers also held their heat and were mouthwateringly delectable at the final destination. Overall, it was a scrumptious feast but the breakout star was the key lime pie by far. The decor in here is over the top! It is a perfectly themed restaurant. We were there for lunch and both of us got burgers. We ordered off the one third pound burger menu. My husband ordered the brisket burger and upgraded to onion rings. I ordered the Cali burger and was happy with the fries. As an after thought I decided to get a chocolate shake. It was not very good as there was little chocolate taste at all. It was actually so off tasting that I sent it back. The upgrade of onion rings was three on the plate. When I walked in, the place looked like a lot of fun. Given that it is in the 'burbs, it needs to be family friendly, and it certainly is. Lots of cool stuff on the walls, I really like the penny-based background by the beer taps. I give this place a solid 4*, for the following reason: - Great draft beer and bottle selection, but this trip, I opted for a brew-jito. It was really good and really unique. Making it with beer cut the cloying sweetness of most mojitos. - I got the Jumbo Piston Onion Rings -- really good, they are served stacked on a metal rod. Eye catching and great for sharing. Tip. Eat from the bottom but cutting them using the base. - They have a ton of very interesting burgers. So many (17) that I couldn't pick just one, so I had to do their "custom" burger -- I tricked mine out like this: Bun: European Pretzel Cheese: Jalapeno Jack Sauces: Creamy Peanut Butter and Sweet Sriracha Toppings: Iceberg Lettuce, Grilled Jalapenos, Fried Pickles, and a Fried Egg Note: It worked, but it would have been better w/out the lettuce and jalapenos, the peanut butter needed to be paired with something spicy. The burger was cooked perfectly. Service was great. Great place to watch a game with a family or wife. Enough TVs to see the game, but not so in-your-face if you are looking for family time. I have been to Ford's Garage twice already. I think I was expecting too much, so that might have been the downfall. The restaurant is gorgeous and I love how they keep the theme going, from the servers uniforms to the utensils. It gives it a really cool feeling. The floor is nice, but a tiny bit slippery, the chairs and tables are comfortable (inside, I did not sit outside). The bar has no hooks for your purse, which was a huge disappointment for me. Since that's the only safe place to have my purse without worrying. The first time I went was for dinner. We didn't wait for a table, and got seated right away. When I saw they serve craft beer I was really excited to try all the new flavors. Well I don't know what I was expecting but they have Miller Lite as a craft beer. All the beers I have already seen or tasted, since they are at other bars around. - the beer menu was a disappointment, but hey! It's beer so we ordered he big 100oz beer tap thing they out in your table. I was totally tipsy by the end of the night! Now let's move to food, I love the name of the burgers. I'm a huge hockey fan, and Lightning fan so seeing Stamkos and Viniks same on the menu was exciting. I didn't order either or but my boyfriend ordered the Vinik burger that comes with Kobe beef. He was impressed with it, and he is not a burger guy. I had the Get-your-own-rib (or something like that) burger, and it was extremely delicious! I was surprised! - the fries were okay, we had regular fries. They kinda were disappointing to tell you the truth, I wish they would have worked more in the menu to make little things like that better. When we got our food we had no utensils, no we had to steal some from the empty table next to us since the server was nowhere to be found. She came a couple of times but didn't ask if we needed anything, just if to see how we were doing. The experience at the bar was blah... I did like the ice section they have to keep your drinks cool, at least that what we used it for. The bartender was not nice nor rude, she was just too worried to go home to even smile. I dont know what up with the girls that work there, if you are not a single guy they seem not to care. I did see people leave their food, specially the sliders and talking to the manager about how bad the food was but the service was okay. To me it was reverse. Lunch time is very busy. We should have allowed more time for our visit. We went during our lunch hour. The restaurant is very open with cool car decor on the inside and out. The bathrooms were very clean which is always a good sign for me. Our waitress was extremely busy but did her best to accommodate us. I had the burger and fries. How do you send out 2 Patti's for the same burger and one cooked and the other Not! This review is no reflection on the server/bar staff as we sat at the Center Bar. It does reflect the kitchen staff and the person who allows this to happen, not once but,twice! Ford's Garage was a great experience. The atmosphere immediately warps you back to prohibition in the Roaring 20's, with the building, cars, and decor. While we only experience a portion of the menu, a quick survey of the menu I saw many other things we would need to try. We tried the Shrimp Mac and cheese and found it full of good sized shrimp. I had the Buffalo Burger with Truffle Fries and highly recommend it. They had a huge selection of bottle beers (over 300) and more than 20 draft selections on the distinctive "penny wall." Each of the two full liqueur bars had a Classic Ford car mounted above it with moving tires and smoke coming out of the tail pipes. The kids menu was also good with various options. The Gourmet "Mac and Cheese" bar has some editing options with the Lobster Mac. It is highly recommended! If you are able to visit after Dark, you will get the full effect of the Back-Lit Wood Walls. read more

Well, I've been wanting to check this place out for quite a while. The decor is pretty cool. Like a gas station meets a roadhouse. The bar has a frozen metal strip that runs along the bar to put your drink on to keep cold. I expected a better craft beer draft selection. Decent bottle selection though. For an appetizer I tried the wings. I've definitely had better. They needed to be crispier. The buffalo sauce was ok but had a background flavor that was off putting. I tried the black & blue burger. The meat was tasty, however, the bottom of the bun was soggy from the caramelized onions. I ended up tossing the bun and using a fork. I will give it another try. Starting with an excellent young waiter named Percy, our first dining experience at a Ford's Garage was great. The burgers were delicious. Loved my mac and cheese. Might sound weird but the Mango tea was amazing. Not sure what they used but it was great tea.loved the atmosphere in this place read more

Disappointed today. We got there just after 11am. Our server was great but the food itself was very slow to come out from the kitchen. I think we sat for a good 30 min waiting. It's fine, we know everyone is understaffed. The disappointment stems from the fact they've gotten rid of the Impossible burger and gone to their own "green" veggie burger. My husband said it was horrible. It was so full of pepper it burned his mouth and he said the veggie blend didn't taste good at all. He's pretty laid back and will usually eat things without complaint so for him to say it was bad and take it out of the bun means it was just gross. We asked for a a manager (we never do) and he was kind enough to listen to our complaint and comp the burger. As for the rest of the meal, my daughter had one of their new brunch meals. She said it was fine, it didn't look like anything special-eggs, bacon, toast, potatoes. I had the Cobb salad. The chicken looked like a thick cut deli meat, I was expecting an actual chicken breast, but it was filling enough.
