    Hibiscus Lemonade

Booked a 60 person Teacher Appreciation Week social at Ford's Garage and could not have been happier with the experience. Javier, the manager, was exceptional from start to finish. Since I had only worked with their corporate office via email beforehand, I honestly wasn't sure what to expect walking in with a group this large, especially a hungry and thirsty group of teachers on a Friday afternoon at the end of the school year but they handled us SO well. The food online looked like typical bar food, but the FLAVORS were exceptional. I was genuinely amazed. I wish I had gotten more pictures, but I was so busy trying to mingle and host. My personal favorite was the Firecracker Shrimp. The ribs and wings were awesome, the fries were great, and even the chicken tenders had really good seasoning. I'm allergic to dairy, but everyone around me was raving about the mac & cheese too. The pretzels were also so yummy. The bartenders and staff were fantastic, especially Alexia and Chloe. It was an especially hot day, so a lot of our faculty members were ordering frozen drinks, which I know can be time consuming for bartenders, but we honestly never waited long. I had the hibiscus lemonade and loved it, and my friend's Old Fashioned was especially good too. The space itself is spacious, inviting, and worked perfectly for a large group event. I love my team dearly, but they are an intense bunch and Ford's Garage handled the chaos with kindness, patience, and professionalism. We will absolutely be back.

This is such a cool concept!! With such an extensive menu, there will be something for everyone. I failed to take pictures of the food. But from the pretzels to the burger to the chicken bowl to the chicken wings--you can't go wrong! The service was on the slower side. It took a while to be greeted by our server. But then thereafter, the service was good. Sit outside on a nice evening and enjoy listening to the live music that you can hear around the corner.

Ford's Garage has gravy as one of the sauces! I was extremely happy! Anyways, I came for happy hour, which is from 4 to 6. The interior is nice, spacious and the food is great! They have a Happy Hour drink and food menu. I got the Burger and Beer Happy hour special. I ordered cheese and gravy for my fries. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly! I parked in the garage and walking to Ford's Garage, I saw outside parking lot facing University Drive. This is a great, low-key spot!

This is our second time coming here. The 1st was when they first opened around 2 years ago. We didn't have much luck on either occasion. The food was ok. But, once again, we had ordered items that were out and had to re-order again. Both times the entrees arrived at drastically different times. I'm guessing it's due to an original ordered item being out. The presentation for the onion rings was creative and worth the price. The servers on both occasions were not very knowledgeable of items on the menu. 20% gratuity is added to the check automatically. If it wasn't written in small print, we wouldn't have known. The vintage cars inside and outside the restaurant added a 1920's flare. Bonus: 10% military discount year round.

Came in with my husband for their awesome Happy Hour! We had an order of their loaded tater tots which were the perfect size for snacking and were super good! I really enjoyed their lemon drop martini which, I think is like $7 or $8 on the happy hour menu. Husband had a Guinness. The place is clean and the bartenders are friendly. I love the bar top with the ice around it to keep your drinks cold. We agreed that we will definitely be back!

Def not bad just didn't blow my mind.. id say strong 3.5.. I didn't wanna give it a 3 because I felt that was too low. Ordered the baby back ribs and slaw.. slaw was good in flavor just a little too wet. Ribs were fall off the bone but more sweet than savory and I tend to lean on the savory side when it come to the way I like my ribs.

Oh Fords Garage where have you been?! This restaurant was lively, full of people, very thoughtfully decorated and overall a great experience. It was full inside when we got there but thankfully they had plenty of outdoor seating so we got to sit right away. Our server was friendly and I ordered the Model A burger that made this burger lover very happy! The bacon, fried egg, onions, and cheese on that very nice bun bridged the gap between food that tastes awesome and looks amazing. Capped off the night with a key lime pie which was surprisingly good. Definitely one of the better key lime pies I've had at any restaurant. Only downside to this place is upon entry, I was told of a mandatory 20% fee( also known as a mandatory tip). I am personally against this as a business model (especially with a small party) because I believe tips are to be earned not forced. It's to be worked for not default. My server was friendly but also not around as much. Made me feel like the tip was covered so why work hard to earn it? It also made me less likely to give more of a tip since I was forced to an initial %. Not a huge deal but just wasn't a good first impression. Not a fan of forced tip business models. All in all I had a great time, great food and would consider coming back here if I'm in the area again.

Got in to Plantation after a bit of a flight delay and we were all hungry, so walked over to Ford's. It's kind of a typical bar with the expected fare, but with a few elevations. I tried a honey Chipotle chicken bowl and it was really good! It could have used a little more chicken and rice, but tje flavors were good. I also tried a colada drink, but it didn't have the normal coconutty flavor, kinda had an orange and lime flavor. It didn't seem like they split bills automatically, so of you want your bill split, probably need to say so when you order.

Really enjoyed this place! First time my hubby and I visited, the hostess greeted us and told us about the 20% the restaurant does and how tipping is optional ( which as a previous in the biz person i thought that was amazing )! anyways nikki was our server and she was very nice and gave good recs. I ordered the guava gimlet and it was delicious. Sweet but not super, also I had the tuna bowl and my husband had some chicken dish that had i think he said goat cheese, that was delish as well. We liked the spot, a nice family fun ambiance ... we hope to go back and this time try some dessert !

A friend of mine recommended this place and I finally got the opportunity to go. Great spot for hamburgers, american food, and located in a very nice plaza not far from plantation heritage park and several broward activities. Wait staff was fast and polite, food was fresh and delicious, and I loved the motif of it being a garage-style place.

I liked this place! I go to plantation often and had lunch with my bf here. Service was good and I enjoyed the food! I got a burger that had fresh jalapeños, guacamole and pico de gallo in it and it tasted really good. Also got this guava non alcoholic drink that I liked too, it was refreshing. I'd come back here it's a good spot to hang out and talk. My only complaint is that they don't have Tabasco and only cholula which was a bummer considering this is like a traditional American restaurant I would like to think they would have something like Tabasco. Hopefully they have it in the future. Anyway all in all I enjoyed my time here and will be back!

Visited Ford's Garage on a Friday around 2 PM with two girlfriends, right as happy hour started. There is parking available, but be prepared to walk a bit. First off, I loved the decor. The restaurant really looks like a garage. From the mechanic style uniforms the staff wears to the napkin wrapped around the utensils that looks like a mechanic rag. That honestly threw me off for a second because it looked old and dirty , but then I realized it was intentional and part of the theme. The place was very busy, which made sense since it looked like a lot of people were there for work Christmas parties. One thing to note about happy hour: food and drink specials are only available at the actual bar. In other seating areas, it's drinks only. Online it said "bar area," which was a little misleading because the section I was seated in looked like part of the bar area and was very close to it. The waitress clarified it had to be directly at the bar. As for the food and drinks, I started with a lemon drop, which I'd never had before, and it was so good I ordered a second one. Definitely a highlight. We shared the loaded chicken nachos, which came in a large portion. They were okay, but they had BBQ sauce on them, which I didn't love (my fault for not reading the ingredients). Also, having to pay extra for sour cream on nachos was surprising. What kind of nachos don't automatically come with sour cream? I ordered the bourbon wings and was happy that all flats were allowed. The wings were good, and the fries were solid as well. I totally forgot to take pictures of the wings, unfortunately. Overall, it was an okay experience. I'd definitely go back for the lemon drops and the wings, and now that I know how happy hour seating works, I'd plan a little differently next time.

Ford's Garage is a burger and craft beer restaurant that opened its first location in Fort Meyers in 2012 near the Edison and Ford Winter Estates. When they opened they hadn't secured the rights to use the Ford name. When contacted by Ford Motor Company they expected a cease and desist letter and instead were surprised to learn the car company liked their concept and wanted to work with them. A deal was struck in 2014 that allowed the restaurant to use the iconic logo, archival images, and even have actual Model T's. They have now expanded to more than 20 restaurants in four states including this one in Plantation Walk that opened in 2023. . Ford's Garage is known for their cocktails and burgers. I love all the attention to detail like the gas pump door handles, tire sinks and gas pump handle faucets in the restroom, a craftsman tool cart used as a buffet, oil rag napkins with hose clamp napkin rings, old photos on the wall, Model T horn blaring, and actual car suspended over the bar. If you are a gearhead or Ford history fan like me you will love their decor. The gastropub style menu features wings, hot pretzels, nachos, soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, and comfort food plates. Dessert is lava cake, key lime pie, turtle brownie, caramel apple cookie skillet, and milkshakes. They also offer a weekend brunch. We arrived in time to enjoy the weekday lunch menu which includes the signature Chicken Henry and a soup and salad which I enjoyed with the French onion soup. Service was prompt and attentive. Note that they automatically include the tip but they were upfront about it. I have been to several Ford's garages around the state and it is nice that they opened one closer to home.

They did such a great job giving the place such a fun atmosphere that keeps people coming in for more than just coffee and cinnamon bread. Now for someone who isn't big on sweets or cinnamon rolls the classic cinnamon bread was absolutely DELICIOUS and the maple bacon was a yummy hit as well. The bread arrived warm and smelled absolutely amazing. It wasn't too sweet which I loved and you can really taste the cinnamon flavor in the bread and appreciate the warm fluffy bread without being overly sweet. It was just DELICIOUS! Price wise $10 the classic bread was well priced, I'd be back for the classic cinnamon bread, but at $15 I thought the maple bacon was a little overpriced for just adding a little bit of bacon to it. We were going to start with pretzel bites but we had a little snafu after a long talk about pickles and my pickle phone case so we ended up with the fried pickles. They were amazing and they weren't spears or slices they were bite size barely breaded (yay!) bites with a little bit of heat sauce. So good! They are obviously not made from frozen and are soooooo good! We then had the pretzel bites. It came with a thick cheese sauce that had a kick. My husband and I loved them too! I had a caprese hoagie (pressed) small. And my husband has a small North Fork small hoagie. It looked amazing and was HUGE for a small. We also had handcut fries. I love when restaurants serve fresh cut fries. They just taste different. So good. All in all, we loved it! There is something for everyone to eat and we are so happy we ended up here by default! Next time it will be on purpose.

We love breakfast places with my husband. This one wasn't our favorite…read more Service was hectic, they kept forgetting my husband's coffee. Omelette didn't have any salt in it and did lack a flavor. Pancakes were good and bagels were good. Beautifully designed inside, but not a place to come back to because of the service.

Ally's Comfort Cafe - 136th and State Road 84 in Davie…read more I really did not want to leave this review. I tried with all of my might to do everything I could to not leave this review. Ally's comfort Café has been a staple in Northwest Davie forever. *Now, Ally, moved away a little while ago and new owners took over. They kept the same recipes which made us hopeful that things would pretty much remain the same. But little by little all of the staff that had been there for years started leaving. I think there's only a couple of the longtime staff left. We'll get back to the staff in a moment. My wife and I go to Ally's every Saturday morning. We go there have a great breakfast and then go to the Publix next-door to do our weekly shopping. There's obviously going to be hiccups when new owners take over a restaurant. We totally understand this. But some things are just not improving. They open at 8 AM on Saturdays. But, between 8 and 9 AM there's only one waitress and one bus boy this didn't always used to be the case. They used to have the full staff and someone at the door to take names. He would also help out by getting you drinks or more coffee if you needed it. It worked really well for the small family restaurant. The new owners took over and at some point they decided they only needed limited staff between 8 and 9 AM on Saturdays. And of course, every Saturday my wife and I go in there. It gets packed and the waitress is running around like her head is cut off and the busboy is overwhelmed. This isn't a one time thing it has been constant since they made the staffing change. It's completely unfair to the waitress and busboy and it's also a complete turn off to patrons who have to wait sometimes up to 10 or 15 minutes just for the poor waitress to come and take their order this morning. A couple waited 20 minutes before their order was taken. Also, the owner/manager doesn't get there until almost 9 herself, which means there's no management in the restaurant to help with the register or put out "fires." It. Is. Not. Working. Ally's has been known for their specials for years. They always have amazing special pancakes and special French toast. It's one of the main reasons we still go there. It's our little weekly treat. Lately the specials have been very monotonous. Some sort of jelly put on some French toast or some sort of cream put on a pancake. Not real imaginative for instance, today was banana cream and chocolate pancakes. It was a dollop of banana cream on a chocolate pancake that had little taste. One could've added some fresh bananas, or maybe some whipped cream on top of that. Meanwhile, the special pancakes and special French toast are often made wrong by the staff. This happened this morning. It took them twice to get the pancakes right and three times to get the French toast, right. Again, this is not a one time occur occurrence. We never complain. But we were surprised to still see those items on the bill and not discounted at all, but that's OK. The thing that really drove me to write this review, is that I waited for more than 10 minutes to speak to the owner/manager on our way out. I thought the best way to handle our dissatisfaction would be to speak to her personally. She disappeared into the kitchen, and even after the waitress went to tell her we were waiting to speak with her, she was nowhere to be found. No I understand things come up in the kitchen, but she could've at least came out and said hey I know you're here, I'm dealing with a problem, I'll be right back. But we waited and waited and waited and nothing despite all of the above, that's what irked me the most. I will say this. The food is still very good. And the waitresses and buses are amazing. None of this is their fault. They should all be paid more in dealing with a kitchen that can't get right and an owner that can't seem to figure out good customer service. We will certainly give them another chance, it's part of our routine. But after biting my tongue, I had to let everyone know what was happening at one of our favorite spots in Broward County.

Our waitress Lisa was AMAZING, attentive, warm, and on point all night The food? Whew. You can taste the love and soul in every bite. The NY Strip was cooked perfectly, and the carrot cake deserves its own standing ovation. Absolutely delicious. And the MUSIC--next level. The band was incredible, and what truly touched us was when the musicians gave us a shoutout, saying we inspired them because we were so into their music. That personal moment meant everything, especially since we were celebrating my partner's birthday This place isn't just a jazz club--it's an experience. We will definitely be back.

When we booked our reservation, it clearly says on the email "ARRIVE ANY TIME YOU LIKE" 5:30-9:30…read more As we were on our way we received a call at 7:15 saying we were late and pressuring us to arrive. When we got there the hostess immediately asked us if we're one of the "late ones" that hasn't shown up yet. We showed her the email that states to come whenever yet she still argued it with us that it starts at 7:30. Also, the email states that you have to pay a $20 fee per person if you don't order food....yet they never mention that you have to order $20 worth of food PER PERSON. On top of that, there's a lovely $8 fee if you share your meal. Food portion was tiny and my shrimp meal had plastic in it. When I mentioned this to the waitress, the chef came out and argued that it was shell, to which I physically picked up the plastic and stretched it to show it was definitely not a shell. At the end of the meal we received our check and were informed that there is a "service fee" AKA the waitress added her own tip onto our check (she physically wrote in the tip on the check and even wrote the total). We were never informed about any service fee until the end of the meal. Extremely disappointed. Will not be going back.
