My first visit was a good one! We stopped in with a group of 5 after our holiday lights tour. It wasn't very busy and we were seated within a couple minutes. The hostess made sure to tell us up front about the automatic service charge, but we were aware, since good to go. Garrett took great care of us and all went well. We ordered apps, definitely try the onion ring tower, and the loaded kettle chips were also good, but not as large of a serving as expected. My sons ordered the meaty grilled cheese, and the fish and chips. Out if everything, I would not recommend the fish and chips, but can't really pinpoint what was wrong, maybe the batter itself, but my son was not a fan, and I took a bite as well, and agreed. I was in the area and needed to kill some time so I stopped in for their happy hour. It was my first time here and decided to sit at the bar since that's where the specials were happening. There's a big car hanging over the bar which is pretty cool and it's a big restaurant. The place wasn't too busy on the Wednesday afternoon. The bartender greeted me right away and offered all the menus. The happy hour menu was sufficient for me. I ordered the American burger with Swiss cheese. This came with my choosing of specific draft beers. I chose a Modelo. The burger came fairly quickly and my drink was given first. The burger came with fries. I finished the fries first and they were good and seasoned. The burger was a bit on the dry side but edible. It was a burger though nothing too fancy. Ford Garage is a very appealing restaurant located in Plantation Walk. There are two old school Ford cars outside the restaurant for display. Inside there was a Ford car above the bar. I find that this restaurant was very interesting and catchy inside. Service: my experience was great. I was greeted promptly and professional. My server was attentive and ask was it my first time. She gave me an overview of the restaurant and handed me an info card. I noticed by the bar there was usb chargers ports and ice around to keep drinks cold. Food: I enjoyed my meal. I ordered the burnt ends sandwiches which was so delicious. My boyfriend order the burger and he enjoyed his meal too. We were both well pleased with the quality & taste of the food. We also like how fast our order was prepared. Parking: We parked in back of the restaurant. We went on a Friday night and surprisingly the parking wasn't so bad. I came to Plantation Walk for the Holinights event, and ended up going to Ford's Garage for dinner since I've heard great things. The theme was fun and implemented throughout the restaurant, including the employee uniforms and the bathrooms. Our server was super informative. I got the Buffalo Mac and cheese. I asked the waiter how spicy their buffalo was, and he suggested getting the sauce on the side because it varies. I'm definitely glad I did, because I was able to add the perfect amount of heat myself and I think it probably would've been too much otherwise. My mom was excited about the patty melt, but said it was just okay. It was a really nice night so we enjoyed sitting on the patio, and Santa stopped by to take pictures! We were debating at the beginning of the meal between getting an appetizer or dessert, and ended up deciding on dessert. The Brookie sundae was a great choice, and nice step up from most restaurants' normal brownie sundae. the vanilla ice-cream complimented the rich Brookie perfectly. First time coming here, and although I did enjoy it, there were a few things I didn't relly like. Firstly the location in the ever so popular Plantation walk, with lots of entertainment, shops and few other places to eat as well. The area is lively and often times hosting family events. A group of us decided to meet up, and this was here the majority decided on. Tyler our server was amazing! Such friendly individual. Restaurant was clean, and seems well organized and heavily staffed. When we visited, it was not too busy, only a few other tables were occupied. We were seated right away. After reviewing the menu, normal everyday items seemed a bit over priced. Again, I know this might be due to its location. I ordered a wings appetizer, along with a mango margarita. Wings were $19.00, and the marg rounded up to $14.00 The margarita was delicious, more like a fruit drink almost, didn't really felt like there was alcohol in it. It definitely lacked the smell or even taste of tequila. Wings were good, fresh and steamy when they arrived. Their Nashville hot is not that hot, if you like a little hint of spice, you'll be OK with these. Don't let the name intimidate you and get them. Key thing to note, if or when you visit, the restaurant will automatically tack on a 20% gratuity to your bill, regardless of group size. A group of 10, or just a single person the charge will be on the bill. Which in some instances that might be fine, but for a person coming here to grab just an appetizer and a soda, or a beer, 20% seems a bit much. I'm not sure that I will be back anytime soon. I like mine with Buffalo sauce so we got that on the side so everyone could be happy. Wings were large and in charge! Buffalo sauce was real good. It does not look appealing in the picture. I did taste it and am really happy I got it on the side. My friend's son...my honorary nephew tried it and he liked it. My sandwich had some tasty brisket. I asked for it without the BBQ sauce but no can do. I had to order a side of fries because I did not want kettle chips. I am very much a chip person, but not with a meaty sandwich. It feels wrong to me. Anyway, I am sure they charged for it. My friend treated me so I never looked at the bill. The fries were ok. Not too exciting... The little guy LOVED his cheeseburger. Definitely a one-and-done place for me which is disappointing because there are not many other bar and grills that have good drink specials around. I came with a friend and we sat at the bar during happy hour and it took us a bit for our waitress to come over who just pointed to a menu a little bit further down and said that was the drinks. The fact I had to reach over and get it instead of having the bartender handed to me was a little rude in my opinion. Once we finally got our drink orders in, even though it was relatively empty, it took us a while for a drink to be received. The guy that brought over our drinks just stood in front of us without acknowledging us and we had to say to him which drink was which. At which point he placed the drinks down in front of us and walked away. I understand for $6 you're not going to get the world's best drink but for an old fashioned to barely taste like there's any alcohol in it as well as be served with ice chips instead of a cube or a sphere really got under my skin. The ice melted way too fast and by the time I was done with my drink it tasted like I was drinking water with a hint of old-fashioned flavoring in it. The second one I ordered was a little bit better but again I wish they didn't use ice chips in the drinks. After getting the second drink our bartender absolutely disappeared until she came over to say that she was leaving and wanted us to cash out for what I'm assuming would be drinks and money going into her pocket instead of the next person. As soon as we paid she disappeared and we didn't see her again, she didn't even say thank you or anything. The mediocre service mixed with the service charge of 20% that they put on automatically, which goes towards the staff, is the reason I will probably never be here again. I've been to other locations and they were stellar and amazing however this one left a bad taste in my mouth so much that I honestly can't recommend it whatsoever. I think the coolest thing about this place is how everything is styled after a garage. I visited Ford's Garage in Plantation today with friends after seeing some great reviews on TikTok. Since we hadn't been there before, we were excited to check it out, especially for their burnt tip sandwich, which most of us wanted to try. The drinks were the highlight of the experience. I had the Guava Gauntlet, and it was absolutely a 10/10--sweet, flavorful, and so good that I ended up having two or three. Highly recommend it if you enjoy fruity cocktails. My friend ordered a Mojito, and the bartender added strawberry flavor, which made it even better. Definitely a strong point of the restaurant. For an appetizer, we got the pretzels, and they were incredibly soft and delicious. Probably one of the better parts of the meal. Unfortunately, my burnt tip sandwich was disappointing. It arrived lukewarm, and after one bite, I immediately wished I had ordered something else. It lacked the wow factor, and I think I should have gone with a burger since that seems to be what they're known for. My triple fries were really good though. Overall, the drinks were fantastic, the appetizer was solid, but the main course was underwhelming. It was still a fun time, but for a first impression, I'd say the place is just OK.
