I missed work and I was stranded on the street until I got the car towed and had to get a rental car. When he looked at it, he blamed me for the problem and said that my car was old. However, he should have known what battery to replace. He also charged me for two batteries. When I to,d him that I missed work because of his mistake he said well we're both out of money in an arrogant way. My car died two months after that experience. The electricity in the car never worked right and I had to get a new car. He's a moron and not worth one penny of your money. I don't have confidence in his abilities. These words are harsh but true. He never took accountability for his mistakes and he charged me for it as well. This behavior is not something that should be tolerated by anyone. The first time I went in, I thought everything was great except he didn't fix the windshield wipers…read moreafter charging a lot to diagnose them and having me buy a part they still didn't work so that was discouraging. Then I find out on the second visit he charged me again to diagnose the same problem with the windshield wipers, which turned out to need different parts when I went to another mechanic because I was frustrated. because not counting what I had paid him to diagnose the same problem twice and not fix it, I ended up paying him $302 the 2nd visit and all I got was an oil change and I supplied the oil and the filter! I think Valvoline charges about $50 for the same complete service when you provide your own oil and filter. Then when I took my beautiful classic Bronco to another mechanic, who used to be our full-time mechanic for many years, and I guess Kory had misunderstood who we were talking about or something because when I first met him he told me the man had passed and he's very definitely not passed. And he put it up on the rack and looked at it and took pictures of the brake hoses because the brakes were still acting funny and low and behold they hadn't been touched at all, and Kory had charged me over $300 for that visit too! (see picture). So I'm concerned and now find between the 2 visits to Village Kar Kare I spent $600+ for nothing but an oil change and to not have anything else actually done at this point for which I was charged. Kory supposedly had changed out those flex brake hoses and said the brakes work perfectly now! They don't! More importantly, I think the car was put back out on the ROAD and was dangerous to drive! I literally drove the car through the canyon not knowing this. I was about to give the Bronco back to my son to drive which was the purpose of all this work. Concerned, to say the least. I did not come straight here and post my concerns though . I called Kory repeatedly and he didn't pick up the phone. He screens his calls. He sits the phone next to him there and watches who's calling and then picks it up or doesn't. It kind of was like OK there's your sign that he knows he did something wrong. Finally after a couple of days, he did pick up the phone and as soon as I questioned him about being charged again for the diagnosis of the windshield wipers when we had already gone through that and I've already supplied parts and it still didn't fix it. He yelled at me and said "you just want your money back!" and I was like well. I'm concerned that I paid $302 and all I got was an oil change and I supplied the oil and the filter. He said, "fine. I'll send you back your money now. I'll send you a check." and he slammed down the phone. Of course if he wanted to refund my money, he would've just given me a refund on my card. I do think that a $200 refund would be fair and I don't mind paying him $100 for the oil change which is twice what Valvoline would've charged me but that's OK. He's got overhead. I'm generous, but yeah I think he does owe me $200 back and maybe $300 for the 1st visit also becaise his expensive diagnosis and the part I bought did Not fix the windshield wipers and he did not replace the brake hoses! . I'm not holding my breath and I haven't seen a check! but he yelled at me and yelled at me and yelled at me saying that all I wanted was money. "You're just like everybody else was just after money." That was not the case. I wanted the work I paid for completed. I wanted the Bronco to be safe for my family. I apparently was given back a car with nothing done on it, but an oil change, and dangerous to drive! And then yelled at and hung up on when I dared question the great Kory! So since I can't get him to talk to me and I've taken it to another mechanic and I have many pictures and I'm posting one here just to show you 1 supposedly replaced important brake hose part, and it obviously isn't new. I needed to let other people know because I would not want anybody else driving around in a car where you think you've had work on your brakes and it wasn't done.

This will be quite a long review but I do recommend reading until the end if you want to save…read moreyourself a lot of money, time, and frustration . I really wanted to like this place because the people at the front were fairly nice and I needed a good mechanic that I could trust. Unfortunately, my experience here was diabolical. I brought my BMW here regarding a severe safety issues: a loud popping noise when turning, popping noises when accelerating or braking, and a heavily skewed steering ratio requiring excessive wheel input to turn. I expressed these issues and had the workers test drive my vehicle. This was diagnosed as a failed engine mount. I explicitly questioned this diagnosis multiple times, and each time, was assured that the diagnosis is correct. Trusting their expertise, I approved the work to be done as well as break repairs which totaled around $3500. Upon picking up the vehicle after the repairs, I continued to have the exact same issues and nothing had been resolved. I returned the vehicle to the shop a second time and was told the newly installed engine mount was "defective" and would need to be replaced a second time, again dismissing my questions of this diagnosis and insisting that the engine mount was the root cause of my problems. Since this was the shops error, they informed me that they would pay for my rental car which they had made arrangements for through enterprise, just down the street from the shop. Once I dropped my car off and went over to enterprise they had no reservation for me and had no idea what I was talking about. I received a message from the shop the next morning stating that they were working on my vehicle and they were informed of the error at enterprise. They reassured me that everything was now taken care of with the rental car. When I went to pick up my car, it was after hours, so I received my key through a lockbox system and went to go return the rental car. When I went to enterprise to return the rental car, I had asked them if everything was straightened out with the shop, and again they had no idea what I was talking about, so I ended up paying for the rental car out-of-pocket, even though the shop had informed me that they would pay due to their error. After picking up my car a second time, I am continuing to have the exact same issues. The dangerous steering behavior and the popping noises during turning, accelerating, and braking are still completely unresolved. Because an engine mount holds the engine block and is mechanically separate from the steering system, replacing it twice has done absolutely nothing to address my steering rack, column, or suspension. This shop repeatedly pushed an incorrect diagnosis which has cost me $3500, despite my repeated questioning, and has failed to fix critical safety defects. I have since contacted this shop and requested a refund for the unnecessary engine mount repairs, while still agreeing to pay for the other services and the rental car. I have not gotten a response and have just been ignored. Do not take your car here. They are not trustworthy and frankly don't seem like they know what they're doing. Also, a little recommendation for the shop: maybe don't hit on your woman customers during the test drive, it already makes us uncomfortable to be in a car with a stranger. Is the rejection part of the reason you took advantage and are now ignoring me? This is embarrassing for your shop! Unfortunately since there has been no response, I will be submitting a formal consumer protection complaint and initiating an investigation with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair.
