A couple of years ago I wrote to Forever 21 asking them if they would ever consider a plus size line. They have a plus size line now and I love it! Am I the reason they have a plus size line? Probably not. But it does feel good to know that I at least tried to contact them about it. Anyway back to this Forever 21. It's HUGE. My boyfriend is intimidated to go into it because of how big it is. Several people have complained about the customer service but I've found it okay. Whenever I ask someone a simple question, they usually answer it nicely. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars has to do with the looooong lines at the registers. I mean 15 people long with only one register and like 20 workers on the floor. This place definitely needs more register people. Aside from that, I love it! read more

Came in this evening because I was in the Shops at Montebello and happened to drive by. There is a polka-dotted polo on the Forever 21 website I have been trying to find in stores, without any luck, so I stopped in to look for it. I didn't find it, but I DID find an awesome mustard cardigan I just had to have. Employees - when there is a huge line of guests (who are the reason you have a job) waiting in line to check out, don't turn to your supervisor and ask if you can go home. We can hear you, and it's disrespectful and insulting to the guests who are waiting to pay money for clothes from your store. Now you've made it quite obvious you don't care about us. Oh, and when I publicly call you out on it (with other guests in line agreeing with me), don't roll your eyes at me. Myself, and everyone else, can see that as well. Congratulations, you just made yourself look like a spoiled little brat. The incident occured this morning at around 11am. Okay, I get it its still early, but if you are having such a bad morning take a sick day or something geez. First of all if you read all my other reviews I give positive feedback... HOWEVER this will be my first review that I talk about how CRAPPY THE SERVICE IS. My biggest problem was the checking out part. Dressing room went well by the way, the man in there was SOO HELPFUL AND NICE (I thank him for that) however the guy that was working the cashier really had a divo moment and was being such a little sbfhwiwlansajalq ...ugh. This review is based solely on my experience with the employee answering the phone. I initially called to check if an item was in stock. When my call was connected, a hurried voice grumbled "forever 21, please hold." I was immediately put on hold. I've called other locations and the hold time was decent. This location, however, took forever. It took so long for the employee to get back to me that I pulled out a book and was able to read 30 some pages. My phone battery went down by 15%. I have now waited a whopping 30 minutes and still, no indication of being helped whatsoever. Where the employee went? I'll never know. What the employee was doing? I will never know. The outcome, you might ask? I hung up. I wasn't going to waste anymore of my time because of the incompetent employee, whom I can't even name because she hastily put me on hold!!!! Forever 21, you've lost a loyal customer. I love this F21 because it's huge and has a giant selection of all the lines they carry. It's also well spread out because they have plenty of room in this location, so it's not as overwhelming with overflowing clothing. I've never had a problem with the customer service here. The guys and girls who work here, although young as hell, seem to know what they're doing. They always help me find what I'm looking for, they're always willing to put my millions of things I want to try on on hold until I'm ready to try it on, and no one has given me a fuchi face when I try on all of the 20 items of clothing I put on hold. This place can be a bit of a drag when it's crowded. I once had to wait in line about 15 minutes to try clothes on because only one of the dressing rooms was open. It's my go-to F21 when I'm in the mood to kill self-indulgence bug. read more

Went to purchase a hat and sales associates look lazy and unattentive. No greeting whatsoever so I just snatched the bag and rolled my eyes. Maybe it's just me, but I get annoyed easily. This is probably one of the biggest F21 stores I've ever been to after their store in Union Square in San Francisco. They took over the old Mervyn's and there's 2 stories full of clothes. They even have a men's section, prom-style dresses section, and one dedicated to work-out clothes. The jewelry, accessories and shoes department was pretty disappointing though with limited selection. Despite having so many clothes to choose from, nothing really appealed to me and I walked away with only a few items. My friend and I were complaining about how it must be a sign that we're getting too old to shop at F21 anymore. Sigh. Overall, everyone from the guy in the dressing room to the cashier was really nice and helpful. Great place to get your F21 fix if you have the energy to shop. read more

Most of these reviews are soooo annoying! People just base their ratings on a FEW employees they had a bad experience with...uh..HELLOOOO, a store that big must have around 150+ employees, and not all of them are lazy/rude, there are actually those who try to help customers! seriously people, put yourself in their shoes...would YOU want to memorize all the clothing that's in the store???? especially when it seems like they change their merchandise almost every week! is it also the employees fault that everyone just decided to go shop on a certain day and that's why the fitting rooms are packed? wouldn't you be annoyed too if a customer tried on literally 20 pieces of clothing but only took 1? just had to write out my two cents, because most of these reviews are so biased! to be honest, the customer service here is ok, i dont like being asked if i'm finding everything alright every 10 minutes anyway, but i do put myself in the employees shoes, and i'm sure they get fed up with rude customers too, also, the inventory is unbelievable, its almost impossible to walk out empty handed.. read more

Firstly, the phone number listed here is wrong. It's actually (323) 727-7900. I have to agree that the customer service is really bad. As I type this review, I am still on hold, after I told the lady who answered it that I was wondering if they had this top that I have the product code for. I didn't even give her the code and she said "okay hang on" and put me on hold...IT'S BEEN 12 MINUTES AND NO ONE HAS PICKED UP THE PHONE! I didn't even give her the product code so it's not like she's busily looking for the top I want... And as far as this store in general, it used to be the old Mervyn's. A department store that has been transformed into a Forever 21 seems like every girl's dream come true, but to me, it seems almost overwhelming to shop there. There's just too many clothes to go through in ONE day! haha. I'm just not really feelin' this F21. The one in the Puente Hills mall is even better than this one. I gotta admit, this place is HUGE and I usually find something I like. As for me, I like being left alone when I'm shopping, so I don't like people coming up to me and asking me if I need anything every 5 minutes. I know they are doing their job, but that's just me being picky... Dressings rooms....can the workers have their conversations about their love lives and what they did the night before for another time when there aren't people in line waiting for a fitting room? DO YOU HAVE TO TALK ABOUT IT WHILE PEOPLE ARE WAITING WHEN THERE ARE CLEARLY LOTS OF ROOMS AVAILABLE??!? I don't like my time being wasted like that... It has been years since I have been to the Montebello town center. So today I decide to go check out their new F21 store. The store is big and has just about everything you would find at any Forever 21. My problem, well, there are tons of sales associates working there but only about 2 or 3 of them are actually working. No one in that store is helpful and I feel as if you have to go on a wild goose chase to find what I want. Only one associate asked if I needed help finding something. Okay, sure this is not Saks or Barney's but if I am looking something and they are helpless than why the heck are they working there?! If your looking for friendly service, don't count on it. Most of the people working there are snobby youngsters who are helpless and lazy. read more

I thought the Pasadena F21 was big, but holy crap this place is huge. It is very overwhelming to be in such a big Forever 21, but when you have time to browse at a leisurely pace it isn't so bad. Whenever I don't feel like spending too much money I always head here, and I usually walk away with a pretty good deal. I especially love the new Love21 line because the clothes are more mature and seem to be of a better quality, but overall Forever 21 has gotten a lot better since I was in high school. The one downside to this store is that the managers seem to be either really lazy or way too overworked. Once I, along with at least 15 other patrons, waited in line for at least 20 minutes because the manager downstairs took forever to come upstairs to handle returns occurring at the two registers. I get that they need to use a special manager key to put store credit on gift cards (or even process a return), but if it's taking that long, things need to change! read more

This Forever 21 has its highs and lows. Unfortunately, the cons outweigh the highs. Pros: Lots of items in stock Cons: 1) Most staff do not know where the items are located. For example hi-low dresses/skirts and separated throughout the entire store. One staff told me it was upstairs. I go upstairs and another person send me back down. Get your act together. Keep the items together!! If it's the same item in different colors, put them together!! Staff needs more training on their inventory. Some staff didn't even know the item exists!! 2) Staff is LAZY. One girl told me it was the last purse (it was defective) when I asked her if they had more. I asked the manager at the cashier to check if another store had the item. There were over 10 more of the purse in the back! Tsk tsk tsk. 3) The escalator has been "broken" for the last year!! On Sunday, I attempted to go into the Forever 21 in West Covina because I spotted a dress that looked kind of cute from the window. However, the line to the dressing room was long. Then I noticed the line to pay was super long. I walked away defeated. Yesterday, I went to the Forever 21 in Montebello and breezed right into the dressing room with the said dress. It fit terribly. And it was bizarrely. Good thing I didn't buy it the day before! I did pick up a top and some feather-rific earrings. Yay for cheapie clothes and jewelry! Oh, it was clean, non-cramped and the dressing room attendant was very attentive. The cashier thanked me for waiting. Hell, this is a four-star Forever 21! read more

I used to love Forever 21, but not after experiencing their return policy firsthand- which is none. I bought a pair of heels on Wednesday and tried them on at home with my dress- they did not match so I went back the very next day, Thursday, to return them and was told NO refunds, ONLY exchanges and store credit! Forever 21 at the Montebello mall used to be good until they recently renovated. I went to F21 in July on my bday to purchase a 'going out get-up' and to my surprise they were renovating so there was slim pickings. I left with nothing. I went back today (October) because a friend of mine said they were done renovating and also because I received an email recently that advertised '50% off clearance items' (I went to one of their 50% off clearance item sales after Xmas last year and I found so many good things!) so I couldn't pass it up. When I went today the store looked great but when I asked about the sale, the worker said that they no longer have a clearance section. Since I'm a devoted thrift store shopper and cheapanista, I always make a bee line for the clearance area but since they no longer have one...I know I won't be going back here any time soon. Also the customer service is lacking, I asked about some shorts I saw online (I need them for my Halloween costume) and she just pointed me in the general direction and I had to fend for myself. The old locations (if you really want to get old school the 'real' old location was downstairs near the Gap) would have received 4-5 stars from me but renovating and still not having working escalators, a restroom, or a clearance section gets 2 stars, because truth be told, I have experienced better. read more

I came by this past weekend to look for some work shoes. This location is HUGE! Like seriously, it's enormous & they have a great variety. I came specifically to the shoe section but saw that they had a huge plus size section which most F21s by my home don't have. The fitting rooms were huge and the associates were very attentive and polite. I found some cute work skirts but no shoes (bummer!) but this location truly has something for everyone. Checkout was quick and painless and left happy within a few minutes (an issue at other F21s where it seems they take FOREVER - no pun intended. This forever 21 is huge! It's got 2 levels. I can spend hours shopping in this store. Atmosphere: The décor is not well decorated as other Forever 21 stores like Americano. I think it still has Mervyn's décor (the previous owner). Price: The price can range from $1.00 accessories to $50.00 dresses. I have a lot of tops that ranges from $12 to $20. Quality: The quality of Forever 21 clothing is not the best. Some clothes are out of shape after 1 or 2 wash, but others can last for a while. I guess it doesn't really matter sometimes because I only want to wear it for a few times for the fashion. Service: the service totally improved a lot since it was opened. Terrible customer service. There is a huge line and there are only 4 cashiers attending the guest. While all the other employees are organizing the store which is fine but coming from a customer service background I was trained and taught that customers come first. Just because the mall closed in 1 hour doesn't make it ok to have guest wait in line for almost 20 min. I walked up stairs because the escalator wasn't working to see that the upstairs cashiers weren't being used and to my surprise they were not being used because again the employees were too busy picking up. Definitely one of my favorite F21 stores! Unlike most others, this one is extremely organized and easy to navigate :) they have enormous sections devoted to shoes and jewelry. They are also very up to date with their stock. Most items that appear online take a few days to hit the stores but I have found that this store always has the most recent items :) Another great thing is that they almost always have sizes! Even if you can't find your size, the workers here are happy and willing to help you out. The times I've been here, I've never had to look for a worker to help me. They always ask me if I need anything while I'm shopping. Overall: huge variety, great customer service, organized :) read more

This forever 21 used to be my favorite until today. I saw this purse that I really wanted but it was on a mannequin. I asked an employee if they can take it off so I can purchase it and she said she had to ask the manager. She and the manager came over and the manager didn't want to sell it to me because it was on hold for someone (a f21 employee). This store is so huge I get so tired I don't want to go into any other store. They have a really big selection of everything. They don't have enough sales people to help the customers. I love their jewelry selection. If I am looking for a nice piece if jewelry I come here before Clair's. My daughter loves it. She can always find something she really likes. First and foremost, this forever 21 is hugeee It could take me hours to scavenge all the good deals out of this forever 21. I would give this location four stars, unfortunately their fitting room is just not up to par compared to other F21 I've been too. Most of the time, their fitting room is always hectic. Probably because their lack of staff. Since I live in Montebello I came here quite often Every time I want to try on clothes, I seriously need to wait in line. Here's the good part... The staff at F21 are always super nice and friendly. They have good stock of cute clothes and accessories as well. DO NOT PLACE YOUR ORDER FOR PICK UP HERE! I came in on December 29 to pick up my order the cashier there was being a total B went to check and came back saying my item wasn't shipped yet. I never get confirmation emails or notified when my order gets there so I always have to go in person and ask, I call and they NEVER PICK UP HERE. Already emailed forever 21 about this tired of these cashiers giving me attitude but besides the point anyways back to what happened then I go yesterday and they said my item was returned already. It wasn't even 10 days yet placed my order on December 27 so how was it returned?? Called forever 21 headquarters and they said it was returned on the 29 the day I went who hires these people? All i have to say is UGH!!! Good luck finding anything in this mess... and their quality... hmmmm... i bought a skirt which I wore when my family was over.... I put it on about 6:00pm.... and by 10:00pm.... I had to take it off because the seams on the sides were coming undone.... I had not sat down as I was hosting.... AND it was not tight on me... I actually wished for a smaller size..... so... I dont understand why it would have came undone like that.... When I went back the very next morning... I was treated as if I was lying... it took me to call the manager and show her the time i bought the skirt... which was the night before right before putting it on... in order for them to finally let me EXCHANGE it... the prices are not bad... BUT .... youre still spending your money... so... you should at least receive something you can wear for longer than a few hours.... It just happened today, I tried to take photos in the photo booth in there, but after inserted money , it asked to insert money again. So I asked help from a lady who works there and she said she doesn't know about it and we waited manager for a long time. When manger came she said the photo booth doesn't work, so I asked her why there is no sign to tell consumers and she told us there was one before but some one took it off. WHAT ???? During the conversation she didn't say sorry and her attitude just made me think that she didn't care about us at all. Worst customer service ever!!! Went in to make a return and they refused to refund my money in the original form of payment but on a merchandise credit instead. They sakd because i made an exchange and now returning the item i automatically get store credit because i dont have the other receipt fkr an item i returned. So if you make an exchange and may want to return make sure you keep both receipts. Even the manager was helpless and kept talking to me like i was dumb when i clearly had the receipt for the new item. This is by far the largest Forever 21 store I've seen. It's bigger than the one in San Francisco, the one in Glendale, the one in most areas around L.A. It used to be a Mervyn's department store, so that's why the place is so big. It has two stories and they clothing is organized by "styles" (i.e. punk style, basic tee/clothing, dressier, boho chic, etc.). They carry a lot more clothes and are more organized than most Forever 21 stores I've been to. It's probably because they have a lot of staff members, but most of the staff is not so nice. The customer service I would rate them 2 stars out of 5. But then again, most of them are in high school, so I guess I can't put that much blame on them. Nontheless, if you live near Montebello, you should check it out, it's probably the only store worth checking out in the entire mall. And that says a lot!! read more

I'm not surprised theres more negative reviews than postive reviews. Forever 21's clothing is made from asia (specifically china) and the quality is what you pay for. i've purchased a hoodie and a thin top i guess and it was okay. it hasnt yet to tear or become unwearable. some of they're prices are NOT THAT CHEAP. don't let them trick you oh buy 1 get one free or somthing like that. it was okay, didnt get greeted but since i hate getting greeted by what workers that are teenagers its cool. read more

This is an updated to a prior review. The store has somewhat cleaned up its act with their employees. They're a bit friendlier, but far from helpful. They don't find stuff for you like some of the other Forever 21s. The selection here is fairly good, it's large, two stories, and they keep older stuff longer. Checkout is also faster. Again, I see a small improvement in the friendliness of the employees, there is still more to go. read more
