I'm really disappointed with my latest pedicure visit, which was two days ago. They took me to a chair to wait for a technician, and the chair I was in was broken, so no massage. Meh ok, I can live with that, but that wasn't it. The gal doing my toes cut into my nail beds three or four times, and now I have an infection. My big toe is throbbing and burning, it hurts to touch it. It's possible I'm getting an ingrown toe nail because of it? I've never had one, so can't say for sure. I put some neosporin and a bandaid on it, then a sock on to keep the band aid in place, and just the pressure of having a sock on hurts like a SOB. If it doesn't feel better tomorrow, I'll be going to get it checked out, I can barely put any weight on it! I always thought their tubs, and tools were clean and sterile, but maybe it's all a show? The other thing that made this one of the worst pedicures ever was the 10-15 minute massage. It was a joke. I am capable of rubbing lotion on my legs and feet, which is what my massage consisted of. I asked for more pressure and I don't think she understood me, because she just proceeded to rub in the lotion. I was so looking forward to a decent massage, and walked out of there utterly disappointed. I normally wouldn't write a review on this, but the infection is just the icing on the cake, and I think others should be warned. I'm very sad that this happened, I've never had anything but great things to say about Forever Nails. I always bring my family and friends in with me when they come visit, but now I am hesitant to go back. read more

My nail lady for 3 years disappeared at my regular nail salon, so I was pretty bummed that I have to find a new one because she was so good! However, my search for a new nail lady ended today, thanks to Molly! She has blessed my nails with her expertise and they look amazing, see attached picture. I love how detailed and meticulous she is with shaping and filing my nail to the same, correct length. For the first time, I decided to get a design on my nails as a treat for my birthday. My marble coffin nails look beautiful. I guess it's gonna be my birthday every month because I wanna try all the designs, especially since Molly is so expert on it! I have been going to Forever Nails for a couple of years now. They are the only ones that I trust with my nails because I can be very picky. Although I do go back each time I will say they aren't perfect, just the best I have found. Your experience can be inconsistent depending on who you get. I have had bad experiences there and gotten some far from perfect manicures. Their prices also change all the time. Although I come back consistently and they remember me, they try to give me different prices often. The length is different on some especially from hand to hand. They were left dirt underneath. I'll be back to try again. They weren't horrible. But not the best I have had for the price! Mi Amor + Cloud 9= perfection! I went back to Forever Nails because my pinky nail broke and I wanted to change my color. My girl Fifi is gone smh I am so sad! I thought I found the one but oh well I'll try the next girl the manger told me she has for me. So the manager (gorgeous&nice) seated me she fixed my nail and she colored my nails! They were super busy! Hello it's a Friday and after 5 umm yeah they were packed. But she took the time and helped me! She runs it all and still keeps her cool and looks flawless while doing so. This is the third nail salon I've reviewed since moving to Costa Mesa. I like to wait at least a week to see how the fill/pedi hold up before writing a Yelp review and in light of how they've held up, I unfortunately have to give Forever Nails my lowest ranking thus far. They've also been the most expensive I've come across. ($42 all in) I managed to snag a parking spot pretty easily, but the lot is tiny and I can see how it might be an issue most of the time. I couldn't believe how busy the place was on a Thursday at 1pm. The insistence to do gel color from more than one of the techs was super annoying. It's an extra $15 bucks for gel color, I get it that you want to up sell, but once I've said no, then leave it alone. Head shaking ensued and comments about how the regular polish will get dull/scratch. Look, I've been getting my nails done for YEARS. Regular OPI usually stays nice and glossy for the two weeks it's on. How funny. This scratched and looked terrible almost immediately. Now I'm not one to cook up conspiracy theories, but it did make me wonder if they purposely use a crappy top coat to prove their point. I mean, it's been twelve days and they're starting to peel. Doubt I'll be back here with the millions of other options in town. On an aside, it looks like they have some pretty talented artists if you're into the crazy designs and 3-D add ons. First off, so many gel colors to choose from. Secondly, she sharpened and shaped my nails better than what I had before! That's a plus in my book!! Staff will accommodate you as much as they can. I usually drive all the way out to Westminster from Irvine for my mani/pedi, but I wasn't feeling up to it this time. This place was recommended to me by a friend who had galaxy nails done here. I wanted a little something special for the holidays and loved her nail art, so I decided to check this place out. SO GLAD I DID! I did a walk-in, explained what I wanted, and got helped right away. Customer service was awesome. Everyone was super friendly and helpful and they also give you a bottle of water to sip on. The place is clean and doesn't smell as toxic or pungent as some salons do. Another big plus is that for the non-Vietnamese speaker, it is not hard to communicate what you want here. Valeri, the manager, was super sweet. I was helped by Jackie and someone else (unfortunately I forgot her name but she did my nail art!) Both were really good at what they did. I usually have to be watchful of the nail esthetician, but I felt completely in good hands. My nails came out way better than I envisioned in my head. I got a stiletto gel manicure with Christmas designs and it came out to $49. It was a little more because I needed an acrylic tip for a broken nail. The nail salon is very nice and always clean, your seated immediately, they give you menus to select your package. I usually get a mani and pedi for $20-25. They also sanitize and clean their working stations and utensils after every pedi and mani. They have 2 big LCD TV's to enjoy some of your favorite shows while your getting pampered. I felt so comfortable and safe right when I walked in, since the pandemic it's been a while that I've really wanted to go out and truly pamper myself. My friend and I walked in on a Monday afternoon expecting it to be a little quieter, given that it was a weekday. To our surprise, it was nearly a full house. (I would suggest making an appointment.) Luckily, they had two more stations available for our mani's. We both went in for gel nails --me with regular color ($30) and my friend with French tips ($35). The nail technicians offered us each a complimentary bottle of water while we sat and picked out what we wanted to be done.. The first two colors I chose were unfortunately out. But she helped me pick a color that was similar and, in my opinion, turned out to be even better than the ones I initially picked. So.. here is the reason for docking off one star: I usually ask my manicurists to skip the cuticle cuts, but I decided to let her do it this time. She started off very gentle, but as she kept going.. The cutting became a little more aggressive. She cut a little too much on 3 of my right hand fingers and waaaaay too much on my left pinky --by the end of it, my pinky was bleeding and my fingers were stinging when the alcohol was applied. My finger still hurt even a few days after. I feel like this is kind of an important issue.. But my manicurist helped me clean and bandage my cut and apologized for her mistake. They were all very sweet and genuine; so I'm guessing it was really just an accident rather than a careless move on her part. Anyway, I will be coming back.. But I'm going to try and avoid future cuticle care haha read more

Loved the treatment and service I received and would say it has been the best treatment since living in the Newport area for now about 4 years. Kim did my manicure and May did my pedicure. Was not happy with the SNS dip that I got done here for $40. The lady put 3 coats of dip and they came out looking very lumpy and puffy. To make matters worse, I can't even take the SNS dip polish off because the coat is so thick and they're literally glued to my nails. My last experience here was below average. When I arrived no one even bothered to check me in. I had to get someone's attention so I could check-in for my appointment. I had a 1:30pm appointment but I didn't get seated until 15 minutes later and they didn't even start working on my nails until 2pm. What is the point of making an appointment if they're not going to start on time? I needed to be somewhere at 3pm so this really annoyed me and it's actually one of the reasons why I stopped going to another local nail salon. I didn't catch the name of the girl working on my nails, but I gave her my nippers and asked if she could use mine instead. I always bring my own because you never know how well nail salons sanitize their tools. The girl had to call over someone I assume would have to be some kind of manager and she said they couldn't use my nippers for liability issues. First nail salon to ever tell me that. I guess I can understand why but I was already annoyed having waited in the chair for 30 minutes and this made me even more annoyed. The girls who did my nails did a decent job, but when she was finished she just got up and left. Didn't even help me put my slippers on, which sounds kind of princess-y on my part but I mean that's really standard at nail salons. The nail techs always help you put your slippers on and sometimes even help you carry your purse. Not so here. When I went up to the register to pay before leaving, I stood there for awhile before anyone even came over even when several nail techs clearly saw me waiting. So overall, the customer service really sucks. A complimentary bottle of water doesn't make up for all the other stuff. This nail salon that close to me so it's not worth the drive to come back if this is how I'm going to be treated. read more

Also, I have bubbles in the clear portion of my nails. I wanted to say something, but I was worried that the lady over seeing the place may would be upset with me or the lady who did my mani.
