I've lived in the area for a few years and I never get my nails done. But I've been wanting to find a place I can go to that's not too far from my home, fairly priced and has nice folks. I had gels done last month and really needed to have them fixed up. I was glad they took me as a walk-in today and helped me get these claws under control. Jenny was very kind helping me find the right shape for my nail bed, and chatted with me if I asked her questions. They didn't upsell me or make me feel uncomfortable. I stumbled upon this place while driving by quite often and decided to give it a try with a simple manicure. For starters, she left big gaps between my cuticles and where the polish started. One nail on one hand was cut uneven and she didn't bother to even file it evenly. On the other hand I had a nail that had broken fairly short in which she didn't file it but rather skipped over it. Once my nails were dried coming out from under the UV light she didn't go over them with a file to get the rough ridges and bubbles that occurred. There was also nail polish on my fingertips and on the side skin of my finger nails that I had to get off myself. Upon paying $36 for a horrible job, I gave her my card since their sign on the window says that they accept cards and she asked if I had any cash for a tip and then pointed to a little tiny sign on the desk that asked that tips be made in cash. I told her that I didn't in which she did not seem happy but I certainly did when I walked out of there. I learned my lesson never to walk into random salons and think that they can do a good job (even on a simple manicure) read more

I've been going to this salon for over two years now but, I won't be going back any longer! I'm rough on my nails so every two weeks I make an appointment for a fill,fix, pedicure & gel. They've definitely made hundreds upon hundreds of dollars off of me although you wouldn't know it because they treat me like a walk in. In my two years of coming here, I can count how many times they were ready for me at my appointment time. I don't mind the occasional 5, 10 maybe 15 minute wait because they are running late but more often than not, I'm waiting 20 minutes or more. Today, my appointment was at 6 as it always is and I left there at 6:40 because I still hadn't been seen. I have gone there about 4 times The first I got acrylics and they charged me $22, the manicurist was polite The second and third I got my nails filled with the same woman. She was polite but the only thing I was concerned is that the price kept fluctuating They weren't the same and they changed from the pamphlet they had Well the fourth time was the worst. I think this particular woman is the owner of the shop cause she was the one answering the phone and writing down appointments. When I got in she greeted me kinda coldly. The girl who had me the last few times took me and as we were getting started, the owner came up and said I'll take care of you and asked me to move. Not that it is a big deal, but I wanted the girl who had already done my nails before. She was just rude and I could tell that she was talking about me in her native language. After she was done applying the top coat, she went to the front desk to take care of a payment then took a client to the other side of the store. I used to go to Friendly Nails in La Mirada but after one too many gel manicures chipping the next day, I decided to come to Forever Nails. Every mani pedi I've gotten here have been nothing short of amazing. They seriously take their time between each coat to ensure that the coat is even and clean on each nail. I don't ever bother to request a specific person because I have never been disappointed with any of my experiences here. They always play good movies on the TV so I'm never bored at the salon. They only accept card payments for new customers. Ask for a stamp card because you get $10 off after a certain number of visits that exceed a specific dollar amount. read more

If you're looking for a place to get your nails done & relax, this is not the place for you. The employees were constantly yelling to/at each other for almost the entire time I was there (which was about an hour). Also there was construction going on in the back room. Sounded like a drill but that lasted the entire time I was there as well. I don't know about you, but I like to unwind when I get my nails done & it was almost impossible to do that here. I got a gel manicure which was $25 plus a $1 service fee for using a card. My nail technician was okay. She did her job carefully and precise. She is the main reason for the 3 stars. I've been here a couple of times because it's so close to home. I've had a good experience with them in the past but this last time, I was disappointed. The gal who did my pedicure was rough. Whenever I would indicate that I was in pain, she'd begin to speak in Vietnamese to her coworker and then come back and smile and ask how my day was going. If you ask me, that's being a total hypocrite. Now even if she wasn't talking about me, I find it very rude. And, she did hurt me and had to put a small piece of tissue on one of my toes because she was being rough. The gal who did my full set was kind and gentle. The only problem was that one of my nails hit the gel dryer as I was putting it in and she didn't fix it. I know it's a pain but she should have just redone it. I was also disappointed because this is the only nail salon I've been to where they charge $5 when you ask for your nails to be almond shaped. I've been here 3 times now and probably will keep coming because it's the only place around here that doesn't reuse their scrubbers/buffers and bring out new clean tools. With that said my 3 times have had something go wrong. #1 I asked for chevron print on 4 nail and the lady couldn't do it, I kept saying it's fine I won't get it but she tried and it was a mess. Another lady walked over and said "please wait for my daughter she can do it" so I ended up waiting 45 min to get someone else to do the detail. My thing is if you know you can't do something just don't, be honest. Instead of messing up my nails and having to start again #2 I got the deluxe pedicure. The massage was not 10 minutes, and the lady burned my foot with the hot stone. I literally jerked my foot so hard I probably kicked her from the pain. I got no apology. And she rushed me off the chair that it messed up my nail polish and didn't fix #3 this is my 3rd time here and I'm still here but while I'm once again getting a deluxe pedicure this lady has but my skin/nail so bad on BOTH feet they are now bleeding. Once again no apology. She just put glue on it. The whole pedicure was 19 min long. How if it includes a 10 min massage. She was starting to get me off the chair when she noticed me writing this and she said "oh you can sit here while they dry" I really should find another place but I hate that many places in Whittier reuse things in front of you. read more

I would give this place one star if I could. I came to this salon on a whim because the salon I usually go to in Cerritos had a power outage and I was desperate. I was greeted by a less than pleasant host and asked for a gel manicure and spa pedicure. The pedicure was okay, definitely not the best I've had but not terrible. The manicure on the other hand she made 5 of my fingers bleed while attempting to file my nails. I guess after she realized she was butchering them and after I yelped out in pain a few times, she decided not to even attempt to nurse my cuticles, which looked terrible. All that aside, I left just feeling happy I still had all of my fingers attached. Less than one week later, the paint is chipping and 3 of my nails are broken. First time I went in I came for a color change last minute VERY close to closing time. They did accommodate me but the gel polish on my acrylics started chipping and peeling in 5 days. I thought may be it was a crap rush job and my bad for going late. Gave them another shot when I needed a fill (friday 5/29) and showed the lady a picture of what I wanted (but in different colors) and she said she could do it no problem. She ended up passing me off to another nail tech 1/2 way through. I again went through the speil with the new tech...assured me there was no problem she could do the design. It looked HORRIBLE and after "fixing" it 3 times she ended up calling another tech to do the design. The design still wasn't like the picture I showed but it's good enough that I can live with it for 2 weeks. Monday 6/1 one of my pinky nails cracked all the way across. Went in to get it fixed and after waiting 30 minutes got straight attitude about them fixing it. NEVER AGAIN!!! This is the first time I post a review but thought I would give big Jenny a great review as she deserves it. Anyway, a few months ago I was looking for a nail salon that was clean (I'm cyco about cleanliness), won't force me to add flowers or anything else, and is close to home. I usually go to the salon near the Subway and Chuck E Cheese on LA Mirada and Rosecrans, but they are dirty and I hate it when I get stuck with the man that is always on the phone and seems so angry all the time. He does nails horribly and he always cuts me! I hardly look on Yelp but thought what the heck and found this place. It's literally around the corner and my god, so clean! From the reviews I knew to ask for little Jenny for nail art and gel nails and big Jenny for acrylics. Granted the times I don't make an appointment (twice), I may wait a while but I understand since they are so good and take their time to ensure you get what you paid for. From now on I make appointments and always leave happy. It takes me at least an hour before my nails are done but trust me I love them every time. Big Jenny is a perfectionist and makes certain that my nails look great! I recommended her to my BFF and she too is now a regular. Oh and I love that no children are allowed unless they're getting work done. I want to relax and not hear whiney impatient and loud children. Believe me I'm not anti children as I have 3 myself. They can be on the higher end of the price but I'd rather pay a little more to get quality and clean work that lasts longer. I don't think they are rude. Some may be more serious than others but, hey we all have our moments. You can't expect a smile from someone when you come in wanting miracles or with a serious and unfriendly face either! read more

I started coming here because it is close to work. It's very clean. They sanitize their instruments and place a bag over the spa for a pedicure. I have made appointments each time because I am pressed for time (lunch break). They have taken me in very close to when I walk in. I have to remind than that I am on my lunch so they can get me out in time. They are pricy. $50+ for a pedicure with gel polish and gel nails. They charge $1 to use a credit card. I think as a business they should absorb this cost. The business I work at does not charge to pay with a credit card. I wanted white tip gel polish and the lady (I think little Jenny) said my nails were too short and wanted to use 1 solid color. I let her know the place I usually go ALWAYS does a white tip with no hesitation. This place is not kid friendly! I have seen Gone Girl, Sleeping with the Enemy and The Boy Next Door when I've been there. I don't mind them, but I would hate for a mom to take her daughter to have a mani pedi date and see lots of sex scenes.
