What an amazing lunch! There were 5 of us and every meal was delicious. I had the blackened red fish sandwich and it had so much flavor. The fries were crispy We were happily surprised to see the Miracle Bar and enjoyed trying several of the specialty drinks in the fun and festive holiday glasses. We came here during the miracle pop up, and we're so surprised by how good the food was! We've been to a Miracle pop up before, but that one did t have a good menu. Forgotten tonic is one of the most delicious restaurants that I've been to in a while! So many places do too much with their menu or hike up the prices for regular dishes - but this place had reasonable prices with amazing food and great service. I made the reservation a few weeks in advance, and was seated at a table that made me feel uncomfortable (it was in the middle of people leaving and coming in, and we asked to move to a booth. Our server gladly assisted. We ordered two holiday themed drinks which were pretty good, but the food stole the show. The Cajun egg rolls were so good! I wish they had more sauce for me to dip them in the chicken bella was packed with so much flavor and the mashed potatoes were cooked perfectly. The fish sandwich was exactly what I was craving. The pretzel bun was a great touch. I wasn't a fan of the cucumber salad - it needed more vinaigrette. Returned for another meal on a Friday evening Art Walk and always glad to stop in. Tables were reserved, bar was full, but they put us outside. What a cute little restaurant, and the miracle pop-up made it decorated even better. We were seated quickly on Sunday afternoon and enjoyed the seasonal cocktails and appetizers. We had such a great experience here tonight! Made a reservation for 6:15 and were able to switch to sit outside because the weather was so nice. Our server was super sweet and gave plenty of recommendations, all of which were amazing! We tried: the seasonal burrata, Cajun egg rolls and the burger for food and the Forgotten Tonic (had to!), I can't even, Sly Fox, & No Survivors for cocktails. Everything was incredible and plenty of food to split between two. We were celebrating a special event, so I called earlier in the day but the hostess told me they only did things for birthdays...no problem, when I got there to check in for our reservation I was able to ask the hostess and whom turned out to be the manager if they were able to do anything special and they assured me they'd take care of it. They did an incredible chocolate mousse cake with a sparkler, and as we were finishing up, were brought a champagne toast and told the bar manager sent it over. Everyone we dealt with made our experience extra special, and we will definitely be back next time we're in town!! On a side note, don't let the few negative reviews reflect on this place. Their kitchen is small and it is explicitly stated in numerous places that they cannot accommodate larger parties. Some older ladies made fools of themselves cussing at the hostesses (!!) after being turned away because they didn't have a reservation and were over the party size limit. The optional "surcharge" everyone is complaining about is TWO PERCENT of your bill. These are such menial complaints for what is an amazing experience. We are in the industry and we tried to connect with these 2 bartenders on multiple occasions and they just were not having it. Considering we were 2 out of 4 people at the bar, it seemed like we annoyed them for trying to have a good time and make them laugh. Maybe sit at the tables if you want a better experience. We planned on getting a full dinner after our two appetizers but we were just so thrown off by the way these bartenders made us feel that we cashed out and finished our dinner elsewhere. This little tucked away place is a real gem. We had not been even down the little side street that Forgotten Tonic is on, and I'm glad we wandered down. We got the Cajun Eggrolls to start and they were surprisingly delicious. Quite enjoyed the sauce and a nice little kick of spice in the roll. We shared the short rib, which was a seasonal special, and the redfish sandwich. The redfish was delicious and well cooked with a nice fresh Cuban roll. I opted for the potato salad instead of French fries which was good not great; could use some more of the dressing. The short ribs though. What an experience! I wanted to try the Miracle Pop Up Bar in ne Florida, and so I made a 3:15PM reservation at FT for my family. I wanted a new restaurant and also a fun and festive atmosphere. I will note that a credit card is needed to make the reservation. We had no intention of no-showing, so that wasn't a big deal. We arrived at 3:10 and waited a few minutes to be seated. There was some confusion over the waiting parties but it was fine: the staff just wanted to get everything right. The inside of the venue was adorable with ornaments and lights and signage. I loved it. We ordered drinks from the holiday cocktail menu. I had the Chrismapolitan and my husband got the Yippy Ki Yay Mother F****r. Both drinks were amazing and served in such cute glasses. Our server took her time raving about the menu. It's small but everything sounded fabulous, and so much is made from scratch. We got the fresh bread, marinated olives and Cajun egg rolls to start, and all were heavenly. Our son got the veggie flatbread (which was loaded with beautiful veggies) and we split the chicken Bella. The kitchen provided separate plates, which was a nice touch, and the meal was phenomenal. I ordered the shrimp & grits. I was really impressed with the flavor - it wasn't extraordinarily spicy but had a really great taste. Husband got the chicken bella and he said it was amazing too. For dessert we got the butter cake and I subbed the whipped cream for ice cream. Do this! As my husband said "this is one of the best desserts I've ever had". I intended to sit inside to enjoy the Christmas decorations, but the weather was so perfect and there was a table open on the patio, so we had to sit outside. The cocktail names are so cute and they all sound really good. There's the Christmapolitan, Jolly Koala, On Dasher, Bad Santa, and so on. The prices range from $13-17. I ordered the Elfing Around, which has Prosecco, gin, mulled wine reduction, grapefruit shrub, aromatic bitters, and orange bitters. It was sweet and a little bubbly! I loved it. Soooooooo. OMG the flavors contained within this food. Wow!!! So we planned on going to a place close to this one, but when we arrived that place was dead ass empty but the FT was packed. So we followed our gut instinct and changed plans and so happy we did. First, the place has a great atmosphere and vibe. It's loud so be prepared but who cares. We aren't that old. My spouse and I each ordered the grilled snapper; his was fine, mine was rubbery and raw in the middle. Brad happily took it back to be remade, which, of course, left me twiddling my thumbs while my spouse ate his dinner. The new properly-prepared fish finally arrived after he had finished his meal. When the bill came, we had to request they not charge us for my meal, which should have been automatic. We loved the seasonal cocktails and the fun glasswear even if they are extremely expensive for the pours. We were pretty unimpressed with the food though. The chicken thigh sandwich was completely fried to death and inedible. Like it felt like it was put in dehydrator level dry! The server did apologize and told us they recently changed the sandwich and he thought it wasn't a change for the better too. He did take that sandwich off our bill. We had the redfish sandwich as well which had a nice portion of perfectly cooked fish on it but the sauce seriously lacked pizzazz. The crab (or maybe shrimp ) bisque was delicious but had to be sent back and reheated as it was nearly cold when it arrived and it was cold outside too. We enjoyed sitting outside with our pup and watching the world go by. It would have been nice for them to offer a water bowl for the pup or have a pup friendly option on the menu to order if they are trying to be pet friendly. Came in on 4/3 Celebrating Great Friends. I had this restaurant bookmarked for places to try in St. Augustine, I booked my reservation through Opentable. We also ordered the Brushetta that was delicious. Drinks a few HH Piña Colada were ordered a beer, and I had the HH Red all great. Entrees we did 3 orders of Pesto Pasta with one having Shrimp added; let me just say I am not a pesto fan but this was delicious; sauce was creamy, the spinach inside tasted perfect was not soggy at all. Broccolini was added it was a perfect addition. Fresh catch was also ordered and another fish dish. Everyone loved their food... lastly we did dessert. Two ice cream sundae, and one butter cake. The ice cream sundae was so big it definitely could be shared amongst 3 !! The butter cake was good, but it would be so much better without the overly sweet fruit glaze and then the baked fruit berries on top.
