This place was incredible, the vibes, the theming, the cocktails and the food were all excellent! I got the fish sandwich with cod and that was the best cod i've ever had in my life. Please check this place out!

Getting a reservation was very difficult and we ended up with a 9:15 pm time but it was absolutely worth it. I found this spot on TikTok while searching for good food with a great vibe and it did not disappoint. We visited during the holiday season and the Christmas decorations were so fun. They even gave us cute Christmas beanies at the table. They make their sodas from scratch which made my daughter very happy. The alligator chili was amazing and a must order. I had the fresh catch which was red snapper in curry sauce with jasmine rice and it was delicious. My husband had the Caesar salad and meatloaf and both were steal a bite good. My daughter enjoyed the pasta and truffle fries. Drinks were great with lemon drops rosé and an Old Fashioned. Tatum our waitress was wonderful and very personable. Our bill was just under 200 dollars and this has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in St Augustine. Five stars.

Hidden away from the main street of the Historic District in St. Augustine, Forgotten Tonic is a unique cocktail bar that's well worth seeking out. We visited on a busy Saturday night, and the place was packed, so it did take a bit of time to get a drink. They have two bars serving craft cocktails that are just as creative as the ambiance itself. The atmosphere feels like an old-world European cottage, with warm amber lighting and vintage décor throughout. One standout detail is how the cocktails are served in adorable, curated glassware and mugs--especially during the Christmas season. It's really fun to see the holiday theme carried through into the drink menu. Prices are on the higher end, but the experience and creativity make it a memorable stop.

Came back for their miracle menu and it did not disappoint! This bar & restaurant completely flips their indoor setting to be a winter wonderland with a limited edition menu for the holiday season only. My husband and I came for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. For dinner we had the shrimp & grits etoufee and the mussels with chorizo. Both dishes were amazing and left us wanting more. Our server surprised us with a sweet treat to celebrate our anniversary - a chocolate cheesecake that was also very yummy. All of the tables had festive light up hats for customers to take and my koala lala beverage came with a souvenir koala. It was such a cute and fun night during nights of lights and I'd definitely recommend stopping here and making yourself a reservation.

Great find. We were recommended to this restaurant by Nicolette at the gallery that was the original Woolworths. We had three cocktails that were all Christmas oriented and delicious. For lunch we had the Harvest Brussels Sprouts salad. The combination of flavors with kale, Brussels sprouts, apple, cranberries & Gouda cheese. Delish. My husband had a Caesar with anchovies & my brother in law had the fish sandwich. Everything was awesome. Amelia was our server & she was incredible. For dessert my husband ordered the chocolate salami & Amelia surprised us with a slice of chocolate mousse cake with a sparkler for my birthday.

Went here with some friends for the Night of Lights and it did not disappoint! It's hard to get seating inside the restaurant, but we only waited 15 minutes to get a table outside. The only downside was the horses, ghosts tours, and the grinch tours would come by the road behind you so you might get heckled by the Grinch (during the holidays) and you will smell the horses when they pass by! It wasn't a big deal breaker though. Good company and good food! They decorated the restaurant too. The drinks were so good, I had to get more than one! My party and I all shared, we got the: - Silent Night (tart cherry, chocolate, orange acid, soda): Cold Apple Cider but it was pretty - Mellow Mouse (apple, strawberry, grapefruit, lemon, soda): it's like lemon/limeade mix -- this was my favorite - Snow Day Sipper (chocolate hazelnut and coconut syrup, coconut whipped cream, cacao dust): hot chocolate with coconut - Candy Cane Lane (white rum vanilla liqueur, dark creme de cacao, minty amaro, candy cane, oat milk): this one didn't taste good, it was straight alcohol with a hint of mint - Dancing Sugar Plums (gin, limoncello, plum wine, plum milk syrup, lemon, tiki bitters, nutmeg): This was really good, not too strong, not too sweet My party also shared the FT Burger, Bruschetta, Cajun Eggrolls, Pasta Alla Vodka, and Fresh Catch. The fresh catch today was the red snapper with red curry served over rice. Was not spicy, but it was like a perfect combo. The pasta was also pretty good, you can add in protein too. The burger was pretty good, was very smokey. You really can't go wrong with coming here! The food is good and so are the vibes! Come here with people you enjoy and make lots memories!

Finally tried Forgotten Tonic after Easter parade today. We ordered meatballs and truffles fries. Meatballs were outstanding but fries were just good. I liked the regular fries better. The 2 sandwiches we ordered were just okay. The Cesar salad was huge and just okay. Great ambiance and place was full for lunch. The waitress was 5 stars. I like ice water but they serve room temperature water. We have some other favorites that we prefer. I had to try the hype everyone was talking about.

We stopped into The Forgotten Tonic while exploring St. Augustine, and just like many spots in the historic district, the location is fantastic and perfect for a break during a day of walking around. To be fair, we had already eaten lunch, so we only came in for drinks; but honestly, that may have been a mistake. The food coming out to nearby tables looked incredible, and the menu had so many appealing options that we immediately wished we had come hungry. There were several dishes we would have loved to try, even though we were already full. The drinks themselves were excellent; creative, very tasty, and part of a menu that really has something for everyone. It's clear a lot of thought went into the cocktail selection. The ambiance inside is gorgeous and really adds to the overall experience, and the service was friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. Between the atmosphere, drinks, and what we saw coming out of the kitchen, this place feels like a home run. We're already looking forward to coming back and trying the food next time.

This place is a gem tucked away on a side street away from busy streets. Many of the staff seemed cheerful and social for our mid-day appetizer. The decor is Christmas to go along with "Nights of Lights", and the food and drink are custom for the occasion as well. The charcuterie could have been on a board rather than a plate but the options were quite good. The meats and cheeses were good choices but missing olives, pickles or something sweet like a jam for the bread, though the pimento was a good spread for the bread. The "naughty" shot contained tequila, habanero, ginger and hibiscus. Highly Recommended!

As always, another great visit to Forgotten Tonic. This remains a must-do for anyone in Saint Augustine and it's consistently the first restaurant I mention when asked where to dine in Saint Augustine. The food is always spectacular, the service excellent, and it's a classy but casual atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating throughout most of the year. At Halloween and Christmas, they go all out with decor and specialty drinks. This time we had the crispy artichoke appetizer and shared the Burrata and Chicken sandwiches. We chose to upgrade to the truffle fries. Everything was on point and excellent. Even with the sandwiches the little touches like sauces and type of bread used just make this an elevated dining experience. We'll be by as often as we can. If you haven't tried this place yet, I highly recommend you do.

We came for the miracle pop up and now I'm excited to come back again. The food is really fresh and flavorful. The seasonal cocktails are expensive but not outside of the norm for the area. Make a reservation if you can as they get busy especially now that nights of lights is going.

This bar def hits with the tourist prices. I was a bit shocked my 1 cocktail was $22 before tip. (I know we are in downtown st aug, but most of the other cocktails I had this day were $14). My drink was good, but didn't validate the prices. Bar was hot, def needed to blast the a/c. Also the table-booth was pretty awkward- the booth seat is way too low for the table height. Uncomfortable to eat or drink and felt awkward talking with my friends.

Really took to this place.... Enjoyed the vibe, the cocktails were crafted to perfection. The charcuterie plate was splendid, the bartenders were very attentive, friendly and informative. Would definitely visit again....

The combination of imaginative cocktails, exceptional food, and a unique atmosphere makes every visit memorable. The cocktail program is outstanding. We enjoy trying a variety of their exotic and inventive drinks, and they never disappoint. The flavors are bold, creative, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical restaurant bar. The Yellow Submarine cocktail is quite possibly the best drink I have ever consumed. Made with curry-infused Bermuda black rum, lime, ginger, and Asian five-spice brown sugar syrup, it sounded unusual on paper but came together beautifully. I enjoyed it so much that I ordered four of them that evening, something I rarely do. That was three years ago, and despite returning several times since then, I have never seen it on the menu again. The food is equally impressive. Two years ago, I ordered the Skillet Roasted New York Strip served with Yukon Gold potato-anna, roasted asparagus and spring onions, watercress, and black truffle hollandaise. To this day, it remains one of the top five restaurant meals I have ever eaten. Every component on the plate was exceptional. The steak was perfectly prepared, the crispy potato galette was irresistible, and the black truffle hollandaise elevated the entire dish to another level. It was the kind of meal that stays with you long after the plate is cleared. I would gladly drive 300 miles just to eat it again. Most recently, I had the wild mushroom bisque, and it was the best soup I have ever consumed. Rich, creamy, buttery, intensely mushroomy, and perfectly balanced, it was everything a mushroom soup should be. The addition of crispy pickled onions and crème fraîche added texture and contrast that made an already outstanding soup even better. My wife and I enjoyed it so much that we returned the very next day hoping to order it again, only to discover it had already rotated off the menu. My only complaint about The Ice Plant is that some of their greatest creations seem to disappear as quickly as they arrive. While I appreciate the constantly evolving menu and understand that seasonal changes are part of what makes the restaurant special, there are certain items that deserve a permanent home. The Yellow Submarine cocktail, the wild mushroom bisque, and the Skillet Roasted New York Strip with black truffle hollandaise are three of the finest things I have experienced there. The fact that I can vividly remember one of these items from three years ago and another from two years ago says everything. Great restaurants serve good food. Truly special restaurants create dishes and drinks that stay with you for years. The Ice Plant has done that for me more than once, and that is why we continue to return whenever we visit St. Augustine.

It was a pretty cold and uncomfortable welcome. That said, the restaurant is absolutely charming. I really loved the interior ambiance--it's cozy, well-decorated, and has a very pleasant vibe. The food was extremely delicious. We ordered the Half Pound Ice Plant Burger and it was juicy, fresh, and packed with flavor. You could taste the quality in every single bite--the meat was perfect, the ingredients fresh, and everything very well balanced. Definitely one of the best burgers I've had recently. Despite the initial host experience, I would return without hesitation for the food and the atmosphere. Highly recommended, but they could improve the initial greeting.

We dropped in late afternoon and grabbed a few seats at the indoor bar. The bar staff here works the entire bar I'm sure we were greeted by all of them during our visit and each provided exceptional service. The drinks here are very creative and all come with very generous pours, if you like rum this is a place you'll fall in love with after your first sip - we decided to just go down the drink menu and try as many as we could responsibly and immediately knew this would be a favorite when in the area. I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite drink and it would be just as tough to pick a favorite off their small bite menu. We decided to try a few of the specials, it's a relatively simple menu but everything is filled with flavors that are incredible - the char-grilled oysters are plumb, fresh and unique in every way, the fried black grouper bites were crispy served with a delicious remoulade and a spicy jalapeño chimichurri that will light up your tastebuds, we also tried the jerk chicken thighs skewers and amazing crab empanadas filled with a curry concoction like no others. The portions are large enough to share and really balance out the cocktails, this was a really nice experience and one I plan to repeat in the near future, with all the options in St. Augustine this one is at the very top of the list in my opinion and with parking at a premium in the area they have plenty, definitely worth a try...

The renovations are a massive improvement over the previous bar, and the atmosphere is genuinely lovely. The Good: The food is generally solid. The fish dip and salads are nice, and I've had the smash burger a few times--it's amazing. The fish sandwich I ordered was very bad and I couldn't get a member of staff's attention so left it uneaten. The Bad: Unfortunately, my most recent visit was entirely derailed by the service. We sat at the bar and the experience was frustrating. The female bartender (dark hair, glasses) repeatedly interrupted me while I was trying to order, and then got my drink wrong. When I tried to correct it, she literally walked away. My friend tried to order for me, but three bartenders were huddled together chatting and completely ignoring the patrons. We spent a lot that night, and leaving a fish sandwich I didn't enjoy (and couldn't send back due to lack of service) just added to the disappointment. I sincerely hope management addresses the bar staff's lack of attentiveness, because if this continues, this cute place won't last. I'd be happy to speak with the manager directly about this, as we are locals who want to keep coming back.

We started with the bread service--the truffle butter was definitely the highlight (we didn't care too much for the ricotta spread). They were cooked perfectly and served in a flavorful sauce with peppers that tied everything together. The balance between the sweet and spicy was so good. For my entree, I ordered the lasagna, and it was pure comfort. It reminded me so much of the classic lasagna I grew up eating, layered with rich Bolognese and a creamy bechamel sauce that made it feel both nostalgic and elevated. My boyfriend went with the steak (I believe it's a New York strip) and swapped a few of the sides to his liking. The steak was absolutely cooked to perfection, a beautiful medium rare. I may or may not have stolen about four bites... and yes, it was worth it.....
